"The Jedi are not soldiers. And in a time where war is rampant, you've stood as the prime example of who we truly are. You have, and will continue, to save more lives than I ever could, Master Serys." -Kahlil Noble
Amani Serys was a sickly child raised on a quiet Tython farmstead, where her parents immigrated shortly after her birth. When she was eight, the family fell victim to a plague that had spread rapidly in the local region, with both parents eventually succumbing to the disease. Amani herself made a miraculous recovery, presumably in part due to her hidden Force-sensitivity, and the aid of a Jedi healer. With nowhere else to go, the orphan was afterwards brought along to be inducted as a member of the Silver Jedi Order.
THE STORY SO FAR
Early on, Amani proved to be an exceptionally promising student, and a prodigious healer in her own right. She threw herself into her studies, leaving room for little else in life until her later years as a padawan. For much of this time, she remained a stalwart adherent to the traditional Jedi code. However, this faith was continually tested through the many trials and tribulations that faced her generation of Jedi, culminating in a loss of her left arm and a fall to the dark side.
Following this series of events, Amani cut herself off from the force entirely, and began a personal journey in search of higher purpose. This journey took her all across the galaxy, where she often used her skills as a medic to assist communities in need. Despite initial protestations, Amani was eventually drawn back to the Jedi, regaining her connection to the Force and taking part in the defense of her homeworld against the Brotherhood of the Maw. She was thereafter spurred into action, accepting her status as a Knight of the Jedi and rejoining the fight against evil.
Amani found a home again with the Order. She committed herself to her work, and the fruits of her labor began to blossom: Chief Healer. Jedi Councilor. Enclave Headmaster. But none changed her so dramatically as finding love. Amani married Count Alicio Organa, and together they bore two children. Family was once a pipe dream for the dedicated Jedi, but it permanently changed her perspective not just as a Jedi, but as a person. Now her journey has finally brought her to her longest held dream of all: Masterhood. Through times light and dark, Amani Serys-Organa would stand vigilant as a force for good, hope, and peace across the galaxy.
ACCOLADES -
"Master Serys, I was asked the other day what it meant to be a "Jedi" and I could not truly answer them. I now know, and I am looking at the embodiment of what it means." -Connel Vanagor
Force powers - Amani is a potent Force-sensitive, who excels in defensive and curative abilities like Force Heal, Force Barrier, and Detoxify Poison.
SKILLS
Lightsaber training - Amani is a master of Form III/Soresu, and other highly defensive styles of lightsaber combat.
Martial arts - Amani is a master martial artist and hand-to-hand combatant, well-versed in a number of different systems.
Medical expertise - Amani is a prodigiously talented healer and medic, having specialized as such in her Jedi studies.
Mirialan physiology - Amani is naturally flexible and agile, a common trait among members of her species, further enhanced by training.
Amani's figure is toned and lithe. Her facial features are elegant, set with bold brows and a straight, prominent nose. She has large, gentle eyes that are a deep blue in color. Her hair is jet-black and voluminous, occasionally styled with intricate braids. She also bears a large electrical scar centered over her heart, with a spider web of lightning-like arcs that branch out, up to the base of her neck.
APPEARANCE
Like most mirialans, Amani wears traditional geometric tattoos which signify personal deeds: A small kite just above her eyebrows, representing a familial crest. Triangles and diamonds speckled across her cheeks, representing her growth and aptitude as a healer. More diamonds on the back of her right hand, assembled together in the shame of an arrow, representing redemption. A small, inverted triangle on her inner right wrist with a line under the base, representing a pledge of love to Alicio Organa, and a line on each side, representing their children.
Amani is a deeply compassionate and idealistic soul. She seeks the good in all people, and is quick to self-sacrifice in the name of altruism. But her clemency has limits; She was been hurt too many times by those who would abuse that code, and has come to begrudgingly accept that there are simply some who cannot earn any more chances. Amani is fiercely protective of those around her: innocents, students, and especially her family. A disregard for or direct threat towards those will quickly put one on her bad side.
PERSONALITY
Amani is a committed Jedi and healer. She is dutiful, meticulous, and trusts deeply in the Force. Her dedication borders on stubbornness. An utter refusal to give up even when things are bleakest. At times it bleeds into her expectations of others, making her come across as judgmental or demanding, despite good intentions. But it feeds into her optimism; The idea that ultimately, the Light is a prevailing presence. Loss hits her hard, but it never keeps her down. Amani rises stronger because of her attachments, not in spite of them. Life has taken her down dark paths and back again. Through it all, Amani has achieved a balance that few Jedi can hope to find.

Force Users - As a Jedi Master, Amani regularly interacts with other members of the Order. She also takes great interest in other Force traditions, actively seeking to learn from them. And of course, her religion naturally draws her into conflict with Sith, and other nefarious Force users.
WANT TO THREAD?
Healers - Amani is in many ways, a healer above all else. She often finds herself working alongside and teaching other healers, medics, and doctors. Anyone who makes a habit of humanitarian work might very well end up crossing paths with the Chief Healer.
Nobles - Being the Alderaan Queen by marriage has thrust Amani into the arena of aristocratic association. Fellow nobles from Alderaan or otherwise may find themselves in the same social circles, or attending the same events.
Politicians - Amani's position as a Jedi Councilor and the wife of the Chancellor inevitably leads to meetings (and occasionally disputes) with other politicians. Those that find themselves associated with Alicio or Jedi affairs could find an opportunity to interact with her.
Others - Amani has traveled all over the galaxy, and become involved with many different peoples. Her love of new sights and helping others could lead her to encounters with individuals from all different walks of life.
