- Blasterproof: As clothing goes, this gown is extremely durable against blaster fire, able to withstand even direct hits. It is not indestructible, however - one's best bet for survival if somebody starts shooting is still to run for cover.
- Lightsabers: Some protection against lightsaber damage, enough to withstand a glancing blow.
- Waterproof: The fabric has been treated so that it will not retain water (and become heavy) when submerged.
- Fireproof: The gown is highly resistant to heat and fire damage.

- Does Not Sleep With Vibroblades: The gown has very little defense against kinetic blows from weapons such as vibroblades. It could probably withstand a glancing blow, but a direct hit would tear it.

As a final gift to the members of the Jedi Council, Thelma made each of them an article of clothing or accessory. For Amani she created a new formal gown. The gown is made from red Karlini silk decorated with rubies, along with a sheer yet highly durable Karlini silk weave which shows off the wearer's assets without compromising coverage. Norris root was used in the red dye to add an extra aspect of protection.
