Orleon is an abandon planet composed of rain forests and eroding signs of civilizations. The once flourishing world was forced to evacuate after an intentional infestation of stone mites was released upon the world. A scientist in the field of rehabilitation has recently gone missing. When you land you find the area seems suspiciously clear of infestations. His final message bodes a clue:

Come quickly, I think I've found a- aaaaaaaah!

Objective 1: Where's Waldo?-- You land in a clearing with all the others. The thick jungle is void of life. Your mission is simple-- find the scientist. Save his work (and him!). Don't get eaten.

Objective 2: The Element Sanctuary-- Training to discover which element you resonate with. This takes place at an Orleon Ukattan temple of the elements (free from stone mites). It is guided by a specialist of each element, you will gain a short introduction to every element and learn which you resonate the strongest with. Come discover your force potential within fire, earth, wind and water!

Stone Mites were arthropods that clung to spaceships and buildings, consuming hulls and metal plating with a combination of strong, wire-cutting jaws and acidic saliva. They fed specifically on the silicates and complex metals. Three individual stone mites could merge to form a symbiotic ternary that featured a hard shell, which strengthened from electrolytic reactions. As a defense, they could weld themselves to a metallic surface and deliver electric shocks through their feeler tails.

Ways to defeat Stonemites: There were only a few known manners of eliminating these genetically engineered pests, one of them being oxidizer foam. When applied, the substance would actually rust the mites to death. Additionally, Jedi healers could use morichro against them.

Objective 2,

The Element Sanctuary

A
wet day as always here, rained upon the temple entrance without break or pause. Out of the shuttle, the padawans were well escorted by a number of Jedi Masters and Knights. Given this was a dangerous planet they’d picked somewhere safe for the younglings and the olderlings! who were learning the ropes still. The one place on the planet where the mites could not enter. A huge dome and shield protected this place on all sides, under and over the earth.

With the right presses of ancient Ukattan lettering on the doors, Valrel Kos, the Hapan Jedi master led them down the first sets of stairs. Glade Glade ready to take the wind class, and Sera Inkari Sera Inkari the lessons of fire, other Knights were present to at the rear and would wait around to make sure no harm came to the students within.

Glade was in her hoverchair as always, purple hair and purple chair. While the hallway they were coming to had four holographic images floating mid-air. Each an element and each in a bubble. A press of each by one student would lead the students onward into the main room, opening a door before them. The sliding door creaked and moved apart ahead of them, sending dust up into the air. This place had history and legacy, Jedi History, isolated and kept apart.

Revealed ahead was a huge dome, and inside it looked like it had been preserved across the ages either by careful caretakers or by machines that never tired. It was a dark room, with a single bright light in the center and stretched around them on all sides in a circle.

Valrel smiled to glade whose hoverchair moved into the center, waiting for any padawans who wanted to learn elemental control. She gave them an encouraging and glade-like excitable wave, “gonna be fun,” she smiled, "yeppers", the wind around them already picking up slightly at their feet. Just what secrets were in this place? The more sensitive may realize that there was much more to it than met the eyes. All had been told not to dress in anything they wouldn't want dirty.

The ground lay… completely bare for now.

Objective 2 Elemental Sanctuary

Phalsi walked behind everyone in the group of padawan's, signal lost on the personal device as she pocketed it and actually paid attention to her surroundings. The hapan master was pushing buttons, which Phalsi made sure to keep in mind for later. The quick escort to the selection images had the silver haired woman pondering a moment as to the nature she felt most akin to. A small frown at even having to think about the matter made her snort a laugh at herself before tapping the air related element bubble.

She followed behind Glade, marveling at the chair before stepping into the large area and spinning to examine everything that was visible in the light. Which honestly wasn't much. The robes she wore were training ones, something she didn't mind getting dirty at all. Most of her cloths she didn't mind getting dirty save for one set. Which didn't come out unless she was going to a party or something.

Glade spoke, and Phalsi felt the wind pick up. Her senses opened briefly to feel and bringing a smile to her face.
"A blast for sure." She replied to the purple woman.

Glade Glade

"Yep-yep-yeppers!" Chirped Kyra, unabashedly mimicking Glade. She gave the master a cheeky smile, skipping past everyone and coming to a stop at the front of the class. She had pressed every button. All at once.

Just..... smash smash smash.

She pushed forward into the space, her eyes wide and eager as she gaped at the room around them. The darkness wasn't a thing Kyra usually liked, but the presence of her peers and the big source of light did a lot to brighten the mood of the dusky dome. As ordered, she was dressed in plain training clothes; a tiny padawan braid was plated into a larger one, keeping all her hair contained behind her head.

Her skin pricked against the heavy sense of something in the air. She rubbed her arm hairs down, speaking out to no one in particular.

"Is this a force nexus?"

Varindar was most familiar with fire and water because, in her day-to-day duties at the five-star hotels she owned, she is often called upon to cook whenever chefs call in sick, but also she engages in swims as part of sting operations. Rarely did she venture away from either Trandosha or Corellia these days, even less for reasons other than crime-fighting, so when she came to Orleon for elemental training, she had a better idea of what to look for. Earth. She kept quiet because she doesn't feel it would do any good to disturb the balance of the Force in that area, which was very delicate. Because of the clothing advisory, especially as it pertained to the earth portion of the classes, Varindar just wore some old chef attire that was due to be washed in short order. With all sorts of padawans in the fire and air classes, hoping that at least one or two of them would learn to cook based on pyro/cryo at a later date, she still had some hope that this earth lesson would prove fruitful, and kept an open mind to it.

Candos didn’t truly know what element he reasoned with the most throughout his entire life. He was curious when he found out that there was a way to find out what element would relate to. And that curiousness is why he here at the Orleon Ukattan temple. Well, his curiousness and the possibility of using the element that he relates to along with the force to make himself a better combatant since he knew that the force could alter the elements with a good enough user of the force. Walking into the temple, he notices a few other people that were here, no doubt to also find out what element they have, and the design of the temple itself. It’s was his first time coming here and the look on his face showed it. He took quicks glances over didn’t part of the opening area and halls that led to the entrance, now wanting to show anything that the other people use could against from his first time being here. He stood next to a wall and waited for the session to begin after looking at the area.

Location: Orleon, touching down in clearing
Objective: Search and rescue operation, target: Waldo

Primary Weapon: OS-109 Fate Assault Rifle (chest rig)

Secondary Weapons:
Misc Gear:
The Arch-Angel Heavy Dropship flew through the air, skimming a hair's breadth above the treeline. Inside, Beltran stood at the very front of the hold gripping the overhead hand railing tightly. Behind him, through a small door opening the pilot and co-pilot could be seen working to fly the ship as sheets of rain belted against the cockpit's canopy.

Looking at the group arrayed behind him, he spoke. His voice was as soft as it always was, and yet somehow it was able to be heard clearly regardless of what was happening around them. Looking back at him, dressed in their Katarn armor and in the midst of securing their gear and performing last minute weapons-checks were the first squad of Icarus Platoon. These included his new Platoon Sergeant Erris Lota, his chief marksman Corporal Jesson Doss and his breacher, Specialist Paxton Reece.

"Alright people," He said. "We're about five minutes out. This is a search and rescue operation. The target is a scientist who has been working on rehabilitating the planet's ecosystem from an infestation of Stone Mites, which devastated the world. His last known location was in the vicinity of where we are going to land, a clearing designated landing zone Alderaan. We have no intel on his current whereabouts, but a cut of message was received indicating that he had found something, and then was abruptly cut off. Our primary objective is to find the scientist and extract him back to landing zone Alderaan. Secondary objectives include securing any notes or other work he had done and figuring out what is going on."

As he spoke, the Lorrdian Lieutenant's eyes moved over his men to the smattering of others who also sat or stood on the dropship. "Stone mites are non-sentient insects that feed primarily on stone and metal. They use acidic saliva to dissolve their food sources into a state that they can digest. As such, we can expect that any acidic secretions they emit to be highly potent. They apparently operate in groups, or clusters, of three. We currently have no intel on their disposition toward other life, but it would be best to remain cautious."

Beltran paused for a few moments, opening up the floor to questions. As he suspected, none of his men had any but he wanted to be sure that the others who were joining them had a chance to speak their minds. Once he was sure that all questions and concerns had been addressed, the Lieutenant took a seat and set about arming up. A few minutes later, the dropship would land in the designated clearing and the ramp at the end of the hold would lower.

Beltran and his Rangers would be the first out of the ship, moving quickly and efficiently to establish a parameter around the dropship.

In addition to this, Beltran could also see a few others who had decided to join them on this op.

Amani followed the rest of the group, lagging a bit behind to observe her surroundings for a moment without distraction. It was an old place, that was obvious, a fact that made her wince a little as Kyra Perl Kyra Perl recklessly rocketed past everyone else further into the ancient structure. However, she was surprised to find how well-maintained it was for its age as they made their way through.

Catching up with the group at large, she pushed through into the dome to get a closer look. Amani then stiffened for a moment as a sensation passed through her; She noticed some of the others sense it as well.

"Is this a force nexus?"

"Whatever it is, I'm getting some strong feelings from it." She half-muttered her response, as if she were talking to herself more than she was answering the question. Curiosity began to swell in her mind. "Fascinating."

Objective 1: Find the Scientist, get him back to safety
Location: Just landing in Hyaenem Dropship

Smash was piloting his Hyaenem Dropship into the area loaded with a small group of Silver Jedi Regulars. Quickly zipping and zagging across the skyline arriving and putting down offloading the troops before heading back into the air to hover above the small team that was gathering below in the clearing. He did a quick check that his radar wasn't picking anything up as he warmed up the comms ready to link it to everyone on the ground.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, Sssirs and Madamsss." He said then fixed his voice trying to keep the rolling out of his speech. "As you've likely been told there's a scientist out there who went and got himself lost. His last transmission places him about half a klick west from our current location. I am here as your radar and local air support. My missiles have been loaded oxidiser foam much to my chargin and my guns are warm enough to give the critters some lead to munch on rather than you. So get set, make sure you have your oxidiser foam weapons loaded and lets find out where the hell dr waldo went shall we." He said carefully.

He then switched the comms off smiling and prepared to keep the engines hot but slow so he could keep above the team lest they either get lost or surrounded and needed immediate help. Even still he sat back and waited for the move to begin. Shouldn't be too hard he thought to himself surely nothing to bad could be out there.

Stone doors closed to seal the dome room, and Valrel spoke calmly, “Hello Padawans and Knights. Todays lesson will be practical but brief. You may feel uncomfortable or at one point feel very comfortable. If you do, that may be an element or two you study.” Because there was no rule that they were limited to one. “Force Nexus can form wherever Jedi linger for long enough.” Kyra Perl Kyra Perl . The Master answered, and yes she was right this was one, the energy here potent.

Valrel asked Glade to begin, who looked like she could ping off the walls in excitement.

“So…. wind is kinda,” she scrunched up her nose, “like, er you want to be everywhere really fast,” Wind wisping around their feet was already glade’s influence, and it would lightly pickup around them, the dome a natural enclosure designed to amplify its circulation. Wind was chosen first because the room was free of hazards, except for the growing breeze.

Above them, the air cube from outside lit the dark walls with a grey cloudy effect, and the walls began moving slowly as if they were part of the breeze and lesson. All an effect. While in the middle of the dome light feathers were released, they drifted down as Glade's own wind subsided, any remaining breeze from her lingering at their feet. Not a saturation of feathers enough to create a falling blanket.

“Picture yourselves kinda moving really fast, part of it all or just flyin’ along for a ride,” Not exactly a technical teacher glade, an artist, but wind wasn’t technical it was “speed, motion, light action and direction of what's already there,” Valrel added, and Glade chirped, “ya, freedom.” She Glade-smirkled cheekily to Phalsi Drynchen Phalsi Drynchen . The first task the students had was to be assaulted by feathers! Or not if they began to react to the drifting debris, feathers blown about by themselves, other students, and the Masters would soon have the room looking like a giant pillow fight.

The entire room was designed to mimic the element! The light nature of the first exercise. The walls, the colors displayed, the roof, the wind around them and now the props falling from the ceiling. Some might feel uncomfortable, some get nothing and others be right at home in the currently twisting and turning dome.

Doors are closed but please presume you are here anyway.

Objective 1

Red stood in the same dropship as Beltran Rarr Beltran Rarr and the Lieutenant's troops. Red had been deployed along with them as support. He had his usual armor on, with his helmet already on. He held a blaster rifle, with multiple other weapons at his disposal, including a grenade launcher. Red had been mainly sent for his experience in search and rescue, his navigation skills, his survival skills, and his general ability at fighting with little to no support. Of course, there were experiments better trained in this sort of stuff, like Subject 648 Slipknot Subject 648 Slipknot , who was also in the Silver Jedi, but Slip was younger, and less experienced, so Red was sent with them.

Red looked at the lieutenant as he spoke. Red had worked with him before, so he knew how he operated. Red listened to what the Lieutenant had to say. It was all important to note, especially the stone mites. The Lieutenant paused at the end, and Red took that as opening the floor to questions. "Since the scientist was doing work the opposite of what the Mites were doing, the Mites may have become aggravated and taken or done something else to the scientist. What should be our response if it was indeed the Mites?" Red asked him.

Objective 2

Milla darted into the temple, her tail held slightly behind her for balance and bare feet padding across the stone floor. As always, she was excited to explore everything that was around her. Today that exploration would have to wait as she was about to learn a new force technique, one she had only learned was possible. The ability to control the elements definitely sounded like something worth learning. But the biggest question remained, which one?

Her sharp blue eyes looked at the four holograms of different elements they were to choose from. She wanted to learn them all but she had to pick only one. No matter, she'd try to learn the rest some other time. Her attention turned from the holograms to the room her and the rest of the padawans just entered. A large spacious stone room that resonated with the force. A feeling that seemed to seep from the old walls and hang heavily in the air

Slip followed after the others into the temple. He wore his usual training gear. This would be one of his first lessons! He was excited, and nervous, and feeling a bunch of other emotions that made his head spin. He better not screw this up, or the voices would never let it go.

He followed the others inside, and the doors shut behind him. Wait, what?! Why? He was starting to panic. He was trapped! Slip started breathing heavily, going into a panic. The voices were coming back.

This was a mistake

You idiot.

Why did you follow them into here?

Slip shook his head. "Shut up." He mumbled under his breath at the voices. That seemed to help, as they started quieting down, but his anxieties were still pretty high. He looked around at the others. They all seemed so... experienced, and intimidating. Slip was getting nervous again, what if they thought he wasn't ready for this?

No, shut up me. He thought to himself.

He did recognize one person, the girl with the cool tail! She was one of the first people he had ever met here, so it was good to at least have a familiar face.

One of the people started talking, and Slip paid attention. Wait, wind? She could control the wind?! That was so cool! Yet so intimidating. Did they... want them to control the wind?! How was he supposed to do that?! Gah! This was a mistake!

For now, Slip stayed silent, as these thoughts rushed through his brain. It would be a miracle if he managed to make it through this.

A'Sura Denn arrived on this empty world that has the scientist missing. He was briefed about this mission. His objective was simple save the researcher and his/her work. To his surprise there were plenty of people on this mission. A'Sura Den put on his helmet and left his starfighter. The group he joined wasn't the group of Jedi that he was expecting but mercenaries or soldiers. Quite unexpected but this didn't bother him.

Objective 2

Phalsi gave Valrel her attention, a brow raising at the note of not being limited to one element. The explanations came with a release of feathers, a hand from Phalsi coming out and catching one before her attention went back to the instructors. At least it was partly on them before her eyes wandered the room in it's twisting around them as the padawan smiled. It felt entirely comforting for her. The swirl, feathers, and lights all made her give a cheeky grin back to Glade Glade in kind.

"Freedom." She mimicked the other as she let her senses open, her grey presence in the force mirroring the swirl around her for a brief moment at feeling the wind around herself stir in response to the other wind aligned presence.

Objective 2

Kyra turned in a circle, batting at a feather as it swooshed around her. "It's like we're flying," she laughed, Glade Glade 's special effects leaving her with the distinct impression of being in the air. She jumped up, grabbing at a few feathers only for them to be whisped back away. Kyra grinned, resisting the urge to force-pull them into her hands. That wasn't the point of this lesson.

She did ever so like a challenge.

She closed her eyes, a wash of energy rushing to her. Unlike with the tapa class, Kyra seemed able to tap into the force immediately. It was easy, all to easy, to take the tactile feel of rushing feathers and apply them to her thoughts. Glade meant for the students to defend themselves from the array feathers. Kyra took it a step further.

She raised her hand, and with disproportionate ease... sent a rushing breeze of feathers to smack Jasper Candos Jasper Candos right in the face. Her eyes snapped open, an 'oops' flashing across her features in a wince.

She was so not sorry.

Surprisingly, Varindar was able to keep quiet, especially when other padawans seemed to be more eager than her to learn more about the control of the wind. As a flurry of feathers began to flow around the room, she began to think of how air was similar to water, beyond density considerations. And then she began to control the air currents around her specifically, forming a barrel of wind that kept feathers out, but, in turn, the feathers were caught turning into it. Other students seemed to have more ease with it, when she saw Kyra somewhat blasting air in Jasper's direction. But the earth lesson, which was scheduled for later, was the reason why the instructors required of the attendees to wear clothing they can reasonably expect to be dirtied: the instructor started shelling out carts filled with potted tomato plants to be held and watered in another area until the earth portion of the lesson could begin.

Amani watched with amusement as the room changed to fit the element, and feathers began to drift down. It seemed easy enough, manipulating the wind around her, pushing the feathers back from the personal air bubble she had begun forming. Looking around at the others, she saw the feathers being pushed in every which way. At this rate, it might get a little chaotic as everyone starts throwing feathers around, she thought. In fact it seemed like Kyra was already initiating a more offensive approach to the lesson.

For the time being, at least, Amani kept her focus on herself, lightly pushing away any feathers that got too close.

Kyra's attention slipped to Amani.

The green padawan had barely any warning-- the slightest rustle of the force-- then wham. Wind gathered up a storm of feathers and sent them buffeting into Amani in an unrelenting stream. Kyra's laugh echoed off the walls, the task growing easier with each movement she caused. It was as if the wind responded to her every whim, and in some regards, it did. Kyra was in her element (puns!). Her rushing thoughts and shifting energy felt utterly at home inside this chamber. A simple glance at the Master doing the task had been all it took for her to catch on. It was almost too easy for her, which was rare in the classroom. It made her want more.

She turned to Master Glade, looking for a challenge. The whole room surged, air starting to turn in circles around her, gathering up feathers with every turn it did.

Her eyes twinkled.

Glade Glade was in for it.

The room started shifting and changing. Wait, was that even possible? Slip guessed it either was, or it was just another hallucination, and a nauseating one at that. Slip noticed that the others seemed to notice it, so it must be real, or it was a collective hallucination.

Slip looked in confusion at the feathers that appeared in the room. Feathers? Really? Well, he guessed it made sense, since feathers were easy to blow around with the wind.

Alright, he could give it a shot. He concentrated,

Nothing happened.

So he concentrated harder,

And then, nothing happened.

So, he tried a third time. He pictured what he wanted to happen in his head, and concentrated on that. Then, he realized he was doing it. The feathers were moving around, by the wind. He was doing it. "Ha ha! Yes! I did it!" He exclaimed. He barely managed to do it, but he did! One of the few things he's ever really done! He managed to blow the feathers away from him, maintaining a perimeter of 5 feet away from him in all directions in a sphere. The sphere could be seen, as the feathers gathered on the outside of the area.

Slip noticed a pink girl, blasting the others with heavy attacks of feathers. Slip gulped in nervousness. She was really good at this. Slip might not be able to manage to defend against an attack like that.

Today was going to be a long day.
