TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Lightsaber Pike
  • Size: Average
  • Weight: Light
SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Versatile: The upper section is fully detachable, and can function as a lightsaber shoto independent of the rest of the haft. The length of the pike allows Amani to remain on the defensive and keep distance with her opponents, and can still be an effective non-lethal staff weapon without even having to ignite the blade. In cases where close quarters limit the usability of a polearm, the detachable head functions as a lightsaber shoto and gives her short range options.
  • Songsteel: The songsteel coating of the saber’s hilt makes Amani’s saber lightweight and able to withstand strikes from other lightsabers.
  • Sorian Crystal: The radiant sorian crystal that powers the lightsaber can potentially throw off an opponent with a surge of energy, created by coming into contact with other objects at high speeds.
WEAKNESSES
  • Lightsaber-Resistant Materials: Amani’s saber succumbs to the same weaknesses as most other lightsabers when it comes into contact with resistant materials such as cortosis and phrik.
  • Water Submersion: Similarly, Amani’s lightsaber will short out and cease functioning when immersed too deeply in water.
  • Cumbersome: Transitioning the lightsaber between shoto and pike requires the user to focus on doing so, meaning that switching in the middle of a life-or-death duel is not quick or convenient.
DESCRIPTION
Amani’s weapon of choice is a single-bladed lightsaber pike. It was created following the destruction of her previous saber at the Battle of Yurb, fashioned from a sorian crystal she found in a hidden cave on Jedha. The haft is divided into three sections, with the midsection being collapsible into the lower section, shortening it to about half its full length for portability. The midsection is engraved with various traditional Mirialan designs. It is usually carried behind the back from a sling over the shoulder. Amani created the weapon as a reflection of her own beliefs as a Jedi. To rarely act as an attacker, but to keep malevolent forces at bay.
