    • Organisation: The Imperial Bucellarii Templars are a very small and elite unit of non-force sensitives vowed and dedicated to zealously protect their subjects. They are deployed in units of five Bucellarii as guard for an individual, called Commandry which is led by a Commander.

    • Tactics & Deployment: The Bucellarii Templars are refined and skilled duellists, individuals who excel at single combat. They are entirely sworn and focused to protect their subjects, going in front of bullets, protecting their back and intervening in any way possible which would bring physical harm to them. Their duty can expand to seek out the enemies champion and defeat them in front of the enemy army, demoralising the enemy. Furthermore they are trained and proven to deploy in covert operations, here as well as individuals, hunting assassins, enemies of the state or infiltrating targets and acting as assassins themselves.
    • Training: With the Wolfguards training as basis, the training regime for the Bucellarii Templars is even further extended and focused on specialising the warriors to be refined duellists in any circumstance. Aided by the Blackwatch and taking the Empress Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim as a shining example, the Bucellarii are receiving advanced training to conduct covert operations of all kinds, acting as agents, assassins and bodyguards all the same.
    • Recruitment: To become one of the Bucellarii Templars one has to have finished the Wolfguard advanced training, coming from either the Wolfguard itself or other military arms, each applicant has to show the uttermost and most extreme of devotion to the Eternal Empire and its leadership, unwavering, unquestioned loyalty.
    • Goals: Protect. Uphold.
  • Force Abilities (Force User Units Only): Any Force sensitive who makes it through training here is directly assigned to the Wardens of the Shroud.

  • As Long As We Stand: The Templars will die standing and fighting for their assigned subject, there is no retreat or giving up, and even if they can only recover a corpse, they will do it.
  • Technological Edge: With their high-end equipment the Templars would be supported in any way possible beyond ordinary infantry already, but with their bio and cybernetical enhancements, they are truly marvels of military and biological engineering, making so much more than mere mortals.
  • I Challenge Thou!: The templars are deployable in open battle and combat, will excel there, but they are not a cohesive fighting force like the Phalangites and trained to take on strong individuals, making them excellent duellists.
  • Ironclad: The Templars are very heavily armed and armored, making them more of a walking tank than just heavy infantry.
  • Zealots: Fanatically loyal, these soldiers are the executing arms of the Eternal Empires sovereign and will do anything for them, they are absolutely devoted to the cause.
  • Agents of the Eternal Throne: While physically imposing warriors, the Bucellarii are trained in more than just brute combat and can pursue covert operations, intelligence gathering, infiltration and assassination just as mere humanoids.

  • Experience Cannot Be Paid For: Taking only the most skilled and experienced candidates from the Wolfguards and Eternal Phalanx, the supply of recruits is extremely low.
  • Recruitment And Enhancement: Time can of essence to get replenishments, but the time for selection, trials and then the enhancement process is immense and therefore new troops come only very slowly.
  • Expensive: The improvement process, the equipment and the maintenance of these troops is very expensive.
  • Pitched Battle: Although excelling in combat, they shpould not be deployed for pitched battlles, their individual strength will get overwhelmed by chesive, disciplined units.

From the battlefields of Krayiss II, to the Conquest of Nibelungen and the later campaigns involving the Ancient Eye and Confederacy, the Wolfguards have been a force to reckon with, accompanying the birth and rise of the Eternal Empire.

Rising as one of the supreme military powers with few manpower came the need of improving the best to become better, to create warriors and soldiers beyond the ordinary and even the extraordinary. And under the leadership of leading engineers, scientists and doctors a project was launched to find the best possible way to improve what they got. It was clear from the beginning that only a limited number of troops could be readied and ever deployed of these, but the possible outcome was justifying the costs.

Research in cooperation with a surviving Exarch of Zakuul, the physical improvements demanded could be achieved by studying and copying this ancient role model.

Now the Bucellarii Templars stand as the pinnacle of non-force sensitive soldierism, selected from the most elite, most fierce of Wolfguards and the most loyal and talented Ultranauts and Phalangites, the Bucellarii are adding another level of versatility to the Eternal Empires armed forces. Bodyguards who are able to uncover assassins before they can strike, who can protect their subjects from the most dangerous attackers in the midst of battle, who can destroy the enemies of the Empire before they become a threat.

The Heraclion-class Super Assault-Droid is a direct development of Tyth's Revenge, with far less intricate weapon systems as well as systems to make it viable for larger quantities of production. Yet many lessons, especially in regards to hull and programming were taken into account to create this new generation of melee droid.

Elegant in design, similar to that of the Eternal Legion, the Heraclion is programmed for close combat scenarios and excels especially in melee combat. Its powerful reactors provide plenty of energy to power itself and its shields to withstand much incoming fire to get them into their prefered range of fighting. Furthermore they can be deployed with their rocket boosters from orbit, only once though as the boosters can only slow down their descent once.

Their programming is showing the same flaws as the prototype with them sometimes acting on their aggressive nature and going beyond their command in combat. It is not a permanent state and seen as acceptable under the circumstances of their deployment as heavy melee support.
