The Olympian Armoursmiths envisioned an alternative to the more dedicated Expugnator Blade, coming up with a shortsword which was intended to be used with the Aegis Battleshield in the Eternal Legion. More or less built with the same technologies as the larger bastard sword, but in a much more small scale to be a useful off-weapon and effective in tight spaces like boarding actions or urban warfare. The weapon would be mostly standardized but allow for minor customisations, either self-made or requested, to personalize the balance or cosmetics of the weapon.
