• Description: The Homo Aurum, also called Sons of Aurelian, are a heavily gene-modified near-human species of clones. The prime genome taken from Aurelian Sigismund, it was modified with various other species genes to include and increase the overall physical capabilities to an extreme level. Utilising an upgraded and faster cloning process while avoiding clone-madness, the laboratories are able to give birth to new clones faster than it was the case on Kamino.

  • General Distinctions: Different than their human and humanoid origins, the Homo Aurum is extremely tall and muscled. They maintain normal proportions as in relative size of extremities as well as the muscle-size ratio, making them looking like ancient gods incarnate with their perfect physique. Despite it being a cloning process, the scientists are capable of altering the chromosomes to produce female clones as well which, aside from obvious physical traits, do not differ in the overall build from the males. All clones are created infertile and are not capable of reproducing on their own. Due to their Epicanthix and Null genes, the clones are very tall grown which is aided by synthetically improved muscle growth and density, giving them many times the strength of a muscular human. With the Firrerreo cells the Aurum gains an astonishing rate of vital recovery and restoration from wounds and injuries. The Cerean's contribution lies within a second heart which is not only meant to supply the brain, but the entire enlargened body.
  • Growth: A Homo Aurum clone of the Minor race requires one year to reach full maturity in size, reaching mental maturity after about six months and the possibility to train muscle memory after about four months. The Maior race requires at least five years to reach its finalisation, being a much more in-depth and complicated process due even more enhanced physique and especially the expansion of the cognitive and mental abilities from the Arkanian and Cerean genes included.

  • Homo Aurum Minor
    • The Minor are not much less impressive physically than the Maior, even though differences exist. While they would not recognise that their existence is limited to warfare and achieving a goal, they are very aware of their very own abilities and capabilities. The Minor are much more down to earth and satisfied with the life they are living, as part of their conditioning and inhibitor intended. They are soldiers. Pragmatic and stubborn, professional and relentless, loyal and strong. They have a large range of capabilities and just because they are Minor does not mean they are not capable of command. There are varying degrees of tactical ability and understanding as well as strategic insight, the Minors are perfectly capable of handling themselves and winning campaigns by cunning, intelligence as well as force and strength. Nevertheless they are the mass-product of a process which was refined over many years and now culminated in a new clone army for a new era.
  • Homo Aurum Maior
    • The Maior are stronger, faster, taller and have a vastly improved cognitive and neural network to work through a while lot of information in the blink of an eye. They are far further on the spectrum of sociopathy than the Minor and are absolute prideless, emotionless and calculating. They see the Minor as their kin and they do not see themselves as superior in a way of arrogance, but by simple stats. They are leaders, commanders and enforcers, they are the right hand of the Hegemony. Trained for greatness they are usually adopt the role of Legion commanders and brand a legion with their own style. But not all are destined to excel in war, even though all are quite high by any galactic standard in martial understanding. They are acting as enforcers, emissaries and even agents of the Hegemony, understanding subtlety as much as brute force.

Strengths:

• Gods Among Men - The physique of the Homo Aurum is extreme, both in strength, speed, reflexes and agility.
• Superbrain - Additionally to their pyhsique, they have expanded mental and neural abilities, especially the Maior who will outperform even many computers.
• Resistances - Both the Maior and Minor are extremely resistant to fatigue and exhaustion when their system is kept fed.
• Force what? - Due to being Force Dead, they have a natural resistance to the Force and being detected by it.
• Protection - Through their inbuilt armor and increased bone strength, the standard Aurum is very resistant to many forms of damage, including even EMP and Ion attacks to himself and the connected systems.
• Interactive - Through several implants, the Aurum is capable of seeing and receiving much more information.

Weaknesses:

• No Force - The entire species is void of the Force, not being able to use it or being trained in it.
• Alma Mater - To continue to exist, the species needs to be bred and cloned in special facilities.
• Life - Due to their relative short time they are a part of the Galaxy and their martially focused training, the Homo Aurum do not always understand ordinary issues or emotions.
• Fitting In - With their size being considerably larger than the galactic-sentient average, they have issues of fitting into ordinary sized armors, tanks and ships.
• Tight - This size also gives them a disadvantage in very tight combat spaces.
• Metabolism - They need food, a lot, to feed their system.

• Religion/Beliefs: The clones are taught, indoctrinated and raised with several tenets, the Maior race having greater independent thought and angle of interpretation on these:
  • Loyalty - They are extremely loyal towards each other and towards the Hegemony, strongly believing that their comradery is an unbreakable bond of brethren as well as having close ties to the righteousness and justice the Hegemony is bringing and spreading.
  • Justice - True to the Eternal Empire of old, justice is a central ideal of the Homo Aurum, believing themselves a tool of it and acting on the behalf and will of the masses who have 'chosen' the Hegemon to protect them and lead them into a better future.
  • Enlightenment - It does not only describe the superiority of science but much more the opposition to the ancient, dated Force organisations who have been plunging the Galaxy into one war after the other for millennia.
• General behavior:
  • Family - The Homo Aurum Minor sees their comrades as family, they are born into military structures and units and will adopt strong ties to it but even look to the entire species as their family as they all share the same origin and background, with the exception of the Maiors. The Maiors are seen as distant cousins or much older siblings, something far away which is special and knowledgeable, but also emotionally distant, awed from far away.
  • Sexual / Parental behaviour: They have neither as they are clones and both coming up together and not mating due to infertility.
  • Values: While they are generally able to feel emotions and react to situations, their values are very straight forward and calculating. They value their comrades, skill in combat, victory and triumph, they value their equipment and of course, the Hegemony as the institution they serve.

  • Upbringing:
    • Minor - They are brought up in groups of ten, sharing the same room, training schedule and age. It is considered as their squad in which they develop strong ties and bonds with each other while quickly growing up and experiencing the harsh and extreme training regime with only marginal hours of sleep per day and sometimes per week. They are constantly pushed beyond exhaustion, fear and skill to experience the worst and most challenging drills they could think of. It all goes with the motto of 'bloody drills, bloodless battles'. They are forced to work together and achieve feats as a squad, pushing for comradery and cohesion, melting the squad together as a unit, physically and mentally. They are raised to function, to work and execute, being perfect soldiers without compassion outside of their brethren.
    • Maior - The Maior experience the same trainings and drills, but where the Minor are competing together, having people to rely on, the Maior are on their own. They are not barred from social contact, but they are raised above it yet prideless. Their trials and trainings are ever more extreme and they will experience fatal injuries and lethal damage, just to be shown what their bodies are capable of. So do the Minor in a way, but they got others to push them forward, here it is a pure act of will of absolute and unconditional confidence. Where the Minor is raised to function, the Maior is raised to understand and evaluate, much more focused on being a possible leader and commander than part of a unit, they will know no compassion or mercy and do what is necessary.

  • As a part of Galactic Community: They are looking quite outlandish at the community at large, being opposed to Force users as well as superstition and a lack of self-determination, they are not very sociable. Furthermore they are all on the spectrum of sociopathy, the Minor less than the Maiors.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Eternal Empire of Zakuul was jewel of technology and development, brought there by its Benevolent Eternal Emperor Valkorion. When he was assassinated by the Outlander, the future Alliance Commander, his son, Prince Arcann, took the throne and launched a devastating campaign against the Galaxy, forcing both superpowers, the Republic and Sith Empire to its knees within less than a year. To reinforce his rule, the new Eternal Emperor installed Star Fortresses over important occupied worlds, space stations which would be commanded by the most devoted and skilled Knights of Zakuul - Exarchs.

Project Exarch was an enhancement program for Knights of Zakuul who had shown to be the best and most loyal of all. Through bio-engineering and cybernetics the ordinary Knights became avatars of the Eternal Rule, they were taller, fitter and more powerful than any ordinary humanoid could hoped to be. Able to wield the power of a artificial star through their mastercrafted armor and absolute deadly in close combat. Aurelian Sigismund was one them. But with the fall of the Eternal Empire by the hands of terrorists and opportunists, much of its knowledge and technology got lost, lost because of the inapt handling of lesser beings.

It took the remnant of the forgotten realm many, many decades of dedicated research and self-teaching, of failed experiments and trials of how to achieve a decent level of gene-engineering which could even hope to come close to his own physical perfection. As the Galaxy was always busy tearing itself apart in wars of ideology and religion, there were never sufficient resources to cover proper massed production trials. Until the iron sun of the New Order dawned.

Joining the vast Galactic Empire as a sub-ordinate director in various research divisions, conducting the colonisation experiment of Vandemar, he seemed to be getting ever closer to the formula which would give Aurelian Sigismund the possibility to bring back the rule of justice and order. While working extensively on re-furbishing the cloning program, the Empire did not agree and the Zakuulan further focused on cybernetics, bio-engineering and enhancement therapies. Though the Empire wouldn´t last very long and again decades of tumult and chaos followed and it was not until he received funding and support from a new Eternal Empire that he could realise his own agenda.

After the cybernetically enhanced warriors of the Rim-Guard Order proved to be effective on the galactic stage, both against the vicious Bryn'adûl and normal Sith snd Jedi, Sigismund pushed for a cloning program which drew from all knowledge gathered since the Grand Army of the Republic plus the enhancement program he had initiated himself.

Altering and combining genes of various species, implanting well engineered synthetical organs and cybernetics, the Homo Aurum was born. Their physical abilities many times better than those of a muscular human, higher cognitive capacities and as well as common resilience to harm and damage, it was a master-piece. A cloned master-piece which could even receive small alterations like gender or increasing the gene-input of a specific species.

They are not Exarchs, but they are Legion.
