The Forgelords of High Vandemar arethe top engineers and smiths at Macharian Industries. And they were tasked with producing a weapon which would suit the needs of a personal guard in situation of great inferiority of numbers: accurate, cleaving and intimidating. It must discourage an waves of meagre warriors, stunned in awe while it is already cutting through several. Furthermore it should offer the capability to fight lightsabers and useable at range.
The result was the Praetorians Halberd, a staff weapon, the king of weapon categories, which incorporated the recently developed Lancer-blaster and would offer a good range, definitive visibility and an intimidating look due to its massiveness. It is designed for the Agema Aegis to have an alternative to the Sarissa for less refined situations. The typical combination of a halberds head includes a large axe head, a spear tip and a warhammer head, so does this weapon.
