  • HAPU Reactor Suite: Given the large amount of weapons which require intensive power needs, the HAPU Reactor Suite was chosen as the ideal system to provide the near-limitless reserves of power the Eternal-class requires.

  • Overwhelming Firepower: Armed with some of the heaviest and most powerful armaments available to the Eternal Fleet, and arrayed in such a way to provide coverage at nearly every angle, the Eternal-class Star Destroyer is the epitome of the Fleet’s ‘Ragnarok Protocol’, as it definitively takes no prisoners when fully unleashed. Whether serving as the flagship of a heavy assault line, or providing fire support amidst other ships of the line, the Eternal Fleet is near-peerless on the battlefield, causing commanders of all but the heaviest of battlecruisers to take pause before engaging.
  • Stout: The Eternal-class boasts a state of the art military-grade shielding system & double-layer armor paneling system which more than gets the job done, enabling the vessel to stay on the battlefield and make the most use of its offensive capabilities with above average staying power when compared to equivalent class warships.
  • Jack of All Trades: Given its intimidating array of weaponry, armor, and modest hangar size, the Eternal-class Star Destroyer is the perfect ship to send into uncertain tactical situations, while still maintaining some level of confidence it will return intact.

  • Below Average Hangar Size: While modest for most tactical situations the ship would find itself in, the Eternal-class’s hangar could be considered below average when compared to equally sized Star Destroyers.
  • Lumbering: As expected for a ship of its size and profile, the Eternal-class Star Destroyer is not a very agile ship. While moving in a straight path, it can maintain a reasonable pace, it could easily be outmaneuvered by smaller or more specialized classes of Star Destroyers
  • Power Hungry: Given the massive amounts of high-powered armaments the Eternal possesses, it requires massive amounts of energy. While this need is filled by the HAPU Reactor Suite, should the reactor fail for any reason and the ship have to rely on its backup reactor, it goes without saying that it will not be able to bring to bear its full weapons complement.

Given the recent surge in research, development, and production being conducted by the Eternal Fleet (and by proxy, companies such as Karavin Concern), the need soon became apparent to develop and produce a modernized Star Destroyer to fill-in for the aging Adjudicator-class and hyper-specialized Storm-Wolf Class Star Destroyers, as well as to go toe-to-toe with heavier star destroyers of rival military powers (such as the CIS’s Grievous-class Star Destroyer). Targeting three main goals; namely overwhelming firepower, defensive staying power, and versatility, the Eternal-class was born.

Boasting enough firepower to take on numerous smaller ships near-single handedly, as well as defensive systems to secure its survival in all but the most hazardous of situations, this renders the Eternal-class one of the most balanced and versatile ships in the fleet, making it highly popular amongst senior fleet commanders.

The one major point of concern for this ship is its truly demanding power requirements. While the HAPU Reactor Suite serves as a reliable solution to the problem, should the reactor fail, it would result in subpar performance at best, or disaster at worst. To mitigate this, the ship comes built with a chromium encased reactor deck, as well as a backup generator to allow for the operation of basic functions and partial applications of its weapons array in desperate situations. Despite this, there are many within the Eternal Fleet who are excited at the potential this ship holds for the future of the Empire.

From its forbidding sable-black armor paneling, its sleek profile, and massive armament, the Eternal-class is quickly establishing itself as a necessary craft during initial testing and development. Now, the truly intimidating warship is being produced in record numbers to supplement the Empire’s aging arsenal alongside a massive wave of newer technology. Soon, it would be a safe assumption to make that the Eternal-class will be the symbol of the Eternal Empire’s power and influence for many years to come.
