SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Slicing Made Simple - Governed by an advanced slicer computer brain, the multi-slice tool effectively allows the operator to bypass many types of security systems. It is ideal for boarding operations and infiltrations in enemy installations. Most significantly, the operator does not need to be a competent slicer for the system to be effective. However, that is not to say that a specialized hacker or slicer could make the system more efficient or successful.
  • Field Disruption - The field disruptor allows the wearer to potentially bypass many types of shields via a disruption bubble, allowing them to infiltrate secure or fortified areas, thereby creating opportunities for operations behind enemy lines. The field disruptor can also be harnessed as a defensive tool, in order to transmit an electrical discharge to hostile agents who touch the armor.
WEAKNESSES
  • Surge - If unprotected, Ion/EMP discharges can damage the electronics in the FAE/C-05, rendering the system disabled or less efficient.
  • Simultaneous Use - The field disruptor can not be used in tandem with any shields or cloaking devices.
  • Practical Limits - Dedicated counter-slicing technologies can counter the slicing systems, especially if the operator is not a skilled slicer. While the suite is good for getting through basic programs, it is likely to struggle against larger, advanced systems.
  • Brute Force - With many of the systems incorporated into the multi-slice tool being rather brute force in approach, they leave behind plenty of trace. This can reveal the operator’s location and allow security to converge on them.
DESCRIPTION
A comprehensive package of anti-security systems to aid soldiers and operators in the field, the FAE/C-05 Infiltration Suite is a more robust suite of the systems typically included in the armors manufactured by First United Astral Engineering. Including a field disruptor and a multi-slice tool equipped with a variety of functions to break down security systems, the FAE/C-05 is ideal for boarding operations and engagements within hostile installations. The field disruptor may allow the operator to bypass energy shields which might otherwise impede their progress, while the multi-slice tool can disable cameras, crack locks, hack basic computers, and potentially more.

However, most of the FAE/C-05’s systems are very brute force in approach, meaning that while it is fast, it leaves behind plenty of trace. Nevertheless, the suite is hoped to improve mission success rates and give operators a useful tool in the field.
