  • Thermomagnetic Optics System: The KC-VISR allows for the wearer to see in low-level lighting and can detect hidden enemies.
  • Integrated Rebreather Unit: Designed to be used in hostile environments, the VA-S Mk1 armour includes an integrated rebreather unit complete with an air filtration system and an internal oxygen supply for environments where this is required.

  • Vacuum Rated: Intended for use in hostile environments, the VA-S Mk1 armour is completely sealable and can be used in vacuum, or in highly toxic environments. This has the side effect that it also protects the wearer against chemical weapons which make use of corrosive agents, or toxic gas
  • Enhanced Visibility: Featuring an integrated optics system, the KC-VISR, the VA-S Mk1 armour offers enhanced visibility in low-light conditions and environments with low visibility
  • Flexible: The armour is set out so that the user has ease of movement to perform manual actions such as restraining a subject or hand-to-hand combat.

  • Luke Skywalker'd: The VA-S Mk1 armour offers no protection against lightsabers.
  • Vulnerable Electronics: The complicated onboard electronics which operate the suit's integrated optics and rebreather systems are vulnerable against ion and EMP-based weapons, which can cripple these systems and potentially severely impair the wearer
  • Dead Giveaway: The VA-S Mk1 integrated optics produce a distinctive, bright orange glow, which can be spotted from a large distance, giving away the wearer's position and making it useless for sneaking up on a target in open environments such as the wilderness, regardless of the time of day

The outfit is designed and manufactured by Visel Arms Ltd. as part of a contract with the Eternal Empire. The state requested an armour system for their security and police force. The system is a vacuum rated which means that the user is protected in vacuum environments and toxic environments, this also covers corrosive agents such as toxic gas. The system also features the KC-VISR which allows the user to see in low-visibility situations, not only does this work in low light but it also detects enemies as heat signatures. However the system as a whole doesn't offer protection against lightsabers, EMP or ion attacks.
