- Fyrirdögun: The weapon is capable of resisting lightsaber attacks.
- Serrated Upper Edge: The upper edge of the Lucius-pattern bayonet is partially serrated, allowing it to be used as a multifunctional tool, thus giving it the versatility of a combat utility knife
- Lightsaber Brawler: With this knife you could theoretically take on a lightsaber as its blade can resist its attacks.
- Only Blades: The weapon is only capable of defending against other blades or similar melee attacks, it is absolutely useless against the Force or against non-ordinary attacks like sonic or ion.
- Its Just a Fleshwound: Even if the material is regenerative, it will not be able to repair itself if it sustains too serious damage.
The Eternal Empire's military is uniformly fitted with melee equipment to supplement its close combat focused battle doctrine. The Lucius-pattern is serving its ranks very well and is far from being outdated. The Ultranauts and most units will still be standard issued with the Lucius to counter those enemies they find engaged in close quarters.
With the introduction of the Superior Aggressive Tactical weapon series, the need for an additional bayonet being able to keep up with the power of the weapons was apparent. Furthermore the equipment of the Stahlrim Pact had to be upgraded with a new bayonet, their doctrine even more dictating the brutal means of close combat.
