SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Augmentation - Achieved via an energized and reactive polymer construction, the FAE/A-02 lends its wearer a powerful boost to strength, speed, and athleticism. This has many benefits in the field, including the ability to carry heavier equipment with minimal loss of mobility, more potential lethality in hand-to-hand combat, and many other significant boons.
  • Neural Interface - The FAE/A-02’s integrated neural interface allows the wearer to control virtually all of the armor’s functions and attached subsystems with only a mental command, allowing them to activate systems at the speed of thought, greatly improving their reaction time in combat.
  • Face the Sun - The Kinnara achieves a strong resistance to lightsabers and energy weapons via high-quality Gammaplast, Norris Root dye, and Integrum, in making the armor effective in defending the wearer against these threats.
  • Sonic Weaponry - Equipped with a sound dampening overlay and sonic nullifiers, the Kinnara provides the wearer with a good level of protection against sonic attacks, which while somewhat rare, are nonetheless lethal in the right circumstances.
WEAKNESSES
  • Mechanical Mutation - Given the degree of advanced technology and automation implemented into the suit, the Kinnara is quite vulnerable to malicious influence from a skilled practitioner of Mechu-deru, provided that they have a clear line of sight to the armor.
  • Neural Interface - As the Kinnara depends on a network of computer brains to filter sensor data and the wearer’s brain activity readings, the failure of these artificial intelligences will have a deleterious effect on the armor’s efficiency, especially in combat and other demanding theaters of operation.
  • Sensitive Passive Sensors - The passive array of sensors on the surface of the armor is an extreme boon to the wearer’s battlefield awareness, they are also very vulnerable, as even glancing blows can destroy or disable the sensors on or even around the affected areas. In essence, as the armor takes more hits, its surface-integrated passive reception array will become increasingly ineffective.
  • Bone Chill - The Kinnara’s performance in defending the wearer from weaponized cold leaves much to be desired. While its protection is better than nothing, the wearer is better off depending on an external system to defend against this class of weapon. However, the armor’s protection is sufficient to protect the wearer from arctic environments the likes of Hoth and Ilum, owing to the fact that the cold in these biomes is significantly less concentrated than that of the conditions generated by CryoBan or similar cryonic weaponry.
  • Paddle Beams - While lethal only at close range, paddle beam weapons are nevertheless a vulnerability of the Kinnara as its defenses are not optimized to protect against them. As such, these weapons can quite easily inflict disabling effects on the wearer upon being struck, effectively paralyzing them.
DESCRIPTION
As the first mass-produced armor manufactured by First United Astral Engineering, the FAE/A-02 “Kinnara” Energized Combat Armor represents a culmination of technologies developed from building armors for exclusive clients. Although the designers did not implement many of the more expensive systems and materials that were integrated into their earlier exclusive armors to minimize cost for mass production, the Kinnara nonetheless is a highly integrated platform, capable of facilitating the wearer’s agility and versatility under the extreme duress of combat and during extended operations in the field.

All in all, the Kinnara is an extremely adaptable and rugged armor system, which is capable of seeing to the survival and victory of its operators in the perilous battlefields of the modern Chaos era.
