  • Commander-in-Chief: Colonel Victoria Chubar
    • Colonel Chubar is a Winter-born woman who grew up in a military family and took her service extremely serious and would serve with distinction through several campaigns earning her the regimental command eventually. She is said to be one of the toughest and most strict individuals in the Ultranaut Corps, her obsession with discipline being fanatical and making her the perfect fit to keep young aristocrats in line. She is tall grown with black hair, sharpe cheekbones and bright brown eyes.
  • Second-in-Command: Lieutenant-Colonel Wen Daur
    • The Kel-Dor who stands next to the iron queen of the regiment is an intelligent, calm and very composed individual, excelling at thorough planning and a well educated specialist with artillery and how to handle it. He is a typical Kel Dor who grew up within the Eternal Empire and graduated military academy.

Formed on Winter as one of the guard battalions of the Windshear Keep, the unit soon evolved into a full sized regiment of the line, acquiring experience and a talent for the handling of heavy guns. Their commander ever since if Colonel Efried Halbrecht, a veteran of the early days of the Shrouded Republic, seasoned and harsh, putting his men through hardships and battles without remorse but also taking good care of them.

Now the Regiment is part of the famed Winter Division, the unit of Belisarius Vactovion , working alongside the 42nd and 28th Regiments as an Old Guard, highly experienced veterans who have seen dozens of battlefields and serve the Eternal Empire cold-blooded and with an unshakeable will.

I see what you're going for here, but I think this submission would fit the Army template in the Lore section better. Combat Units submitted to the NPC section are the building blocks of regiments, like the Ultranaut Corps and Ghost Trooper companies you've linked. This is why a Small size combat unit is less than 12 people; by that logic, a group of 6,000 troops is definitely not Medium! Full, unique regiments composed of multiple NPC units organized into battalions should use the Lore section.

If you'd like to edit the submission to use that template, I can move this to the appropriate section. If you disagree, I'm open to hearing why.

I know other submissions are not to be taken as justification and I do not intend to.

From what I have done so far, here and here, both were NPC Combat subs, one equal sized, the other a lot bigger. If you say it should be army template, then I am a bit confused due to all the regimental (or similar military organisation ranges) subs I know. :D

If you insist on it for this submission, please put it to the other forum and I will alter the form. :)

This question provoked a good discussion among Codex staff. Here's what the Codex admin ultimately ruled. We don't want hard caps on NPC unit numbers, so we won't make decisions on that basis. However, a unique submission made up of multiple NPC Combat Units is an army, whether it's called a regiment or a battalion or an army in its internal materials. Since we don't operate on precedent, we won't require changes to any previous submissions. However, future submissions of this nature should use the Army template, as should this one.

I've gone ahead and moved it to the appropriate section. Please tag me when its ready or if you have further questions.
