TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS (Ranged Weapon)
Ecthelion Aiglos tasked the top engineers and smiths at Macharian Industries with producing a weapon which would suit the needs of a personal guard: versatility, portrayal of skill and daunting. It must discourage an assassin or warrior to try it before he even tries. Furthermore it should offer the capability to fight lightsabers and to be good enough for battles.
The result was the Praetorians Sarissa, a staff weapon, the king of weapon categories, which incorporated the recently developed Lancer-blaster and would offer a good range, definitive visibility and an intimidating look due to its massiveness. It was designed for Second Generation paladins, the Praetorians, only. There would be no possibility to produce the weapon en masse, neither was it wanted.

- Visible: The weapon is impossible to conceal.
- Large: The halberd requires special melee training to be used well.
- Heavy: This weapon is very heavy and can only be handled by beings of extreme physical strength and stamina.
