Project: Genesis saw not only the rejuvenation of progress and research in the bio-engineering branch, but also to rework the equipment the Rim-Guard had used and was now considered largely outdated to be given to the new troops. Yet despite the secrecy under which the project was pushed forward, the Olympian Forgelords had the task to devise new weapons under the disguise of being weapons for the High Imperator himself.
Among the revisioned weapons was the Aggressive Guardian Staff, a weapon devised of the Rim Guard Orders Agema elite units of bodyguards. It was reimagined and constructed, a few versions for the Imperator to test and get acquainted with. Only to be revealed that the smiths would now have to fit entire units with these highly sophisticated weapons.
The Pike Variant was a heavy tool, using concussion rifle technology to create a devastating hybrid weapon, and offering a heavy blade atop a long staff to offer both range and the possibility to put energy into thrusts and cuts. Only the physically most fit would be even able to lift it and to wield it effectively, it needed a true master with extensive training.
