- Armour-weave: The clothing itself is made from Linen but is lined with Armour-weave throughout. This provides good protection should the wearer come under attack whilst not in combat uniform. (x)
- Lightweight & Durable: The linen itself it lightweight and is known as a strong fibre material which is perfect for this outfit as the risk of damaging it, whilst still possible, is more difficult to do. (x)
- Padded: The boots, knee-pads, shoulder pads and some other parts of the uniform are padded to provide support the wearers long-term health.
- Near-Blasterproof: The uniform is near blaster proof due to the lining of the armour-weave.
- Lightweight: The linen and thin lining of the armour-weave makes the outfit lightweight and flexible.
- Durable and Breathable: Linen is known for its strength and breathability, hence why it was used.
- Non-Combat Outfit: This outfit isn't designed or meant for combat, although it can be used in combat, it isn't recommended.
- Lightsabers & Slugthrowers: The armour-weave properties don't particularly compensate for kinetic and lightsaber attacks.
- Boots: Although the rest of the outfit is lined with armour-weave, the boots aren't. Making this area a weak spot for the user.
The outfit is designed and manufactured by Visel Arms Ltd. as part of a contract with the Eternal Empire. The state requested a formal and functional uniform for use of the Blackwatch Secret Police, the intelligence agency of the Empire. Few of these are made as to ensure that the Blackwatch cannot be impersonated.
The outfit itself is lightweight due to the materials, linen and thin armour-weave, and is breathable due to the linen; this ensures that the wearer will be able to cope in various temperatures as it keeps appropriate levels of heat in and lets in enough cold air to ensure the wearer isn't overheated. Armour-weave is also used to add some more protection against blasters, although it cannot withstand significant shots, smaller and less powerful shots can easily be dispelled. The only downside to the outfit as a whole is that the issued boots offer little to no protection against anything except environmental effects. Although the uniform isn't meant for combat it can still be used, there is just a greater risk of getting injured by a projectile or weapon.
