DESCRIPTION
"Infantry wins firefights.
Tanks win battles.
Artillery wins wars."

A common motto among artillery and rightly so. There are many weapons in the arsenals of the armies of the Galaxy, most commonly it is the infantryman and his rifle, but various pieces, light or heavy, of artillery are just as common. Most notably tripod or turret mounted lasercannons, a direct fire weapon. Though there exists artillery beyond that, more versatile and able to provide both direct and indirect fire support for offensive, defensive - practically any kind of operation.

Light artillery guns which are easy to move and handle are the backbone of many offensive advances and can provide a strong fire support with concentrated and continous fire. The Ordnance 105 Field Artillery Piece is such a weapon. It is quite simple to use, light enough to be transported in shuttles and gunships and to be moved on the ground by infantry alone but providing a decent firepower with a diversity of shells for various situations and needs.
