Jax specializes in Shii-Cho backed up with an advanced application of Ataru and Shien while also having an intermediate understanding of Makashi and Niman. Fast paced and dynamic, Jax charges into battle with an offensive flourish that is designed to end fights as quickly and efficiently as possible. Backed up by force assisted acrobatics, Jax often ramps up the speed and power of his attacks chaining in force pushes, punches and kicks to gain the upper hand and has an above average skill in Tutaminis blocking Sith Lightning or other energy based attacks. When dueling Jax favors the unorthodox relying on techniques such as Tràkata and the The Three Rings of Defense to use an opponent's momentum against them and strike when they are out of position. He also likes to fiddle with the power level of his lightsaber or his blade length seemingly at random further puzzle his opponent and have them adjust to Jax. In addition to his high level knowledge of Lightsaber combat, Jax also received blaster and explosives training and is familiar with the double bladed Lightsaber having briefly practiced it when he was a padawan.
Jax is a good pilot capable of outmaneuvering his opponents and is talented at using speeders and ships utilizing these skills to Podrace and winning multiple races around the Outer Rim. Being a veteran of many battles, Jax is known to be tactically brave and tactically brilliant leading troops into battle and making sure that the plan goes as smooth as possible while he did his own thing. While a cunning warrior Jax does fall short when it comes to his defense. While not a terrible defender, Jax's options become limited the moment he's on the defensive and is known to break off an engagement and retreat if the enemy too powerful. He's also something of a Jedi Maverick often bending the rules to get things done which earned the scorn of the Jedi Council. In addition, Jax often seen drinking trying to forget about his experiences of past battles and can butt heads with his Jedi companions and is rumored to have liaisons with prostitutes or other Jedi though he denies this.
APPEARANCE:
Standing at 6'0 and weighing 185 pounds, Jax has dark skin, black eyes and black hair which he occasionally stylizes. He wears the typical Jedi robes, with brown linen shirt with a brown boots. Jax wields a green lightsaber which he constructed when he became a Padawan, it has multiple small power cells that are stored on the hand grip. Also, Jax modified his blade to where he can adjust the length of his blade though he hasn't practiced it that often.
BIOGRAPHY:
Jaxon Thio doesn't remember his parents or where he was born, all he knew was that he was dropped in the Jedi Temple when he was 2 years old and was raised with his peers to become a Jedi Knight. Even as a child, Jaxon was restless and mischievous playing pranks on his peers and his elders with one moment using the force to blow up the toilet while one of the masters was using it. Despite his trickster nature, Jaxon longed to leave the temple and explore the galaxy maybe even find out where he came from and who is parents were. Jaxon dominated the Lightsaber tournaments as a child and excelled in his studies..... if he put his mind to it. "Brilliant but lazy" was what Jaxon heard through out his training as a youngling, teachers would if he spent less time putting itching powder in his friends robes and more time applying himself, then Jaxon would've been a promising Jedi.
One person decided to take a chance on Jaxon, Jedi Master: Oda Marson: A female Zarbark who took Jaxon under her wing when she saw him win another Lightsaber tournament at age 11. Jaxon was difficult to handle with him often disagreeing with his master about the best manner of approach but the young man saw her as the closest thing he had to a mother and learned a lot from her. 9 years later, the two were called to battle and they lead the Galactic Alliance forces however during that battle Oda was killed in an explosion risking her life to save Jaxon who found himself surrounded by the enemy. It devastated Jaxon nearly sending him to the dark side but persevered and lead the troops into battle winning. As a reward for an act of bravery, Jaxon was promoted to Jedi Knight though the young man found it hollow now that his master died and he's with nothing more than her memory and scars of battle.
He spent the next few years taking whatever mission he can from stealth, to commanding troops, playing peacemaker or solving crimes partially because he wanted to explore but mostly because he wanted to forget about what happened to his master. Jaxon is still a snarky and relaxed individual with plenty of experience as a Jedi, but lately he'd been addicted to the drink and has done some hedonistic activities to the side in addition to become a rebel of some sorts. Something that worries some high level Jedi, Jaxon could be tempted by the dark side of the force and join the Sith. Which was something Jaxon finds amusing and would make fun of that statement, he was still loyal to the Alliance and the Jedi but he wants to do things his way and it was his way or the hyperspace way.
SHIP:
Jax has a Eta-2 Actis-class interceptor that is 5.47 meters in length. It's hull is colored black while the wings are a dark red, Jax's starfighter is fast and maneuverable capable of running circles around common ships and he added some mods which increases the rate of fire and also gave it some shields to have it tank more hits. It's operated by his trusty Droid: BB-12 a blue and grey BB-series Astromech droid who can at Jax's request overclock the internal systems of the Starfighter to either increase damage potential, have stronger shields or to have it go even faster. Also Jax placed two blaster canons in front of the wings having it fire four shots instead of two increasing kill power. Despite these benefits, Jax's Starfighter is still lightly armored and is vulnerable to blaster fire when his shields are down.
Jax also has a Podracer but it's currently wrecked from his last race at Malastare.
