The Medical ship jumped out of hyperspace close to Cato Neimodia's orbit, Jax placed his hands behind his back his eye focused on the planet. The GA had received word about a hostage situation as well as the SJC and the Praxeum. Yet the Jedi Master couldn't help but feel that something was definitely off, ever since Jax got the call to join the strike team, he sensed a disturbance. Jax couldn't make out what was causing the disturbance, but it was somewhere..... elusive, hiding in the shadows waiting for a chance to strike. He didn't want to jump in right away, he had a feeling that this was more than a typical hostage crisis.

His padawan: Madison was inside the mess hall eating with the rest of the crew. Jax felt his stomach growling begging for food, he hadn't eaten all day having been focused on the disturbances. He wondered if Madison sensed it as well, walking towards the intercom Jax pressed a button. It was time for her to learn another lesson. "Bridge to Madison Starr, this is Jedi Master: Jax Thio I need you to come on the bridge on the double Padawan."

They'll have to stay and wait for now, hopefully the others will follow suit.

The city was locked down, comm systems continually played the insidious sermons of the nefarious BANDO GORA. Whilst the planetary military attempted to wrestle control over the situation, all their attempts were for naught. Locating the bombs under heavy guard by the dark cultists was like finding a needle in a haystack. The choke points were under their control, and any attempt to take back these areas would lead to disaster as the high speed monorails could easily deliver the bombs to any other key point as one fell leaving the city to fall into the abyss. It was a precarious situation, one that needed expert attention. Needed Jedi attention.

Objective 1: Head of the Snake.

This mysterious KRYLL must be dealt with. If he is captured or taken out of commission the Bando Gora leadership will fall apart and they will lose all sense of coherent structure. This dark cult leader must be taken down at all costs!

Objective 2: End of an Era.

The high yield explosives are being carted around the city by high speed monorail train systems. If they can be located then perhaps the they can be defused or stripped away from depraved hands. Some are rumored to be within the city palace while others may reside on the trains themselves. Let’s strip them of their weapons and end this threat.

In an attempt to get away from all the craziness and relax together, Kahlil and Valery had taken his ship to go on a small vacation with their baby daughter. But only days into the trip, the two became aware of a new problem on Cato Neimoidia. As much as they wanted time away from work and stress for a bit, a call for help like that simply couldn't be ignored by the two Jedi.
So in a hurry, they abandoned their vacation plans and dropped their daughter off with a trusted friend, before taking the bastion to respond to the emergency.
"I've looked through the latest reports, and I believe we should try to enter the city. Hopefully, we can find this Kryll and take him down, or at least disturb their plans enough." Valery said as she looked up from her datapad. Kahlil had been piloting his ship, while she was looking through recent updates.
"We should be careful though. If we expose ourselves and they feel pressured..." she frowned, "They might set off those explosives." She then put away the datapad and looked his way, a small smile forming on her lips but she didn't say anything. She just watched him pilot the ship until they finally began approaching the planet.
"Take us down as close as possible — we'll have to likely walk a bit, but I'm sure we can handle that. We need the stealth."
Valery then stood up to tie her ponytail together tightly, checked if her lightsabers were secured to her belt, and drew in a deep breath. It felt strange to go into a tense situation like this so soon after a short vacation, but she was ready to do what needed to be done. The people of Cato Neimoidia could count on them.

Ashla’s Will
Objective 2: End of an Era

5m5qOKV.png

He’d just left Denon with his master Heinrich Faust Heinrich Faust and already something new. Comms went ablaze as a call for aid was dispatched across the galaxy by the Neimoidian people as a dark threat loomed over the once peaceful world.

The Bando Gora. A dark cult from dark days long passed, he’d heard that their number had been in the Southern Systems but to hear of their recent move in Concord space was troubling. All those innocents at risk, all for the corruption of a hundred youthful innocents blessed with Ashla’s gift. It was despicable.

The Jedi leaned in toward his master, sitting in the co-pilot’s chair.

“We are on approach.”

Their course was At-La’o where these dark beings held the population hostage. They would approach in the thick clouds, flying low to avoid detection. Even with the city locked down the train network still was running, and quite busily. Odd.

The youth scanned the locale for more hoping for a lead as they approached.

The Wrath of the Maw was one of the first to arrive. Along with his scorched earth campaign in burning a bloody swathe, he brought the cannibals of the Crimson Hands to oversee the demands were met. Having his own interest in the force sensitive children. The behemoth of a man was in disguise as one of the Bando Gora . Observing the Jedi that would come to the trap the Maw had in store for them.

He blended in hiding his dark aura, even if he could be detected among the gang of the Vado gora he would reveal himself when he thought it was time. Yet even so he could sense a familiar presence. The one he sensed when Bendak was slain was close. He could feel her moving about, so much so when the surprise came his guard was let down. The darkness could be felt for the briefest second as his hunger emerged. Hunger and anger mixed in of one who dared slay a Knight of Ren.

It took every fiber of his being for the very moment to remain calm. With him we’re several hands disguised as the shadowy criminal group. All skulking about, and some say that people went missing. No doubt his men often couldn’t control they’re basic instincts. But while the Wrath was here to observe the Jedi nothing out of the usual seemed to occur on his watch.

He even walked so close to the Jedi, he often couldn’t help but feel silly at how the Jedi did not detect the Maw yet. Only now his patience was starting to wear thin. This day he would avenge Bendak. He would get the terrible vision from his head, he even would certainly have the Jedi killed by his own hand.

The dark robes that he wore were begging to be let out. He screamed in the back of his mind to reveal himself, and see how many Jedi would die. Frantically he told himself to wait, as he watched Jedi come and go from the alleyways of the city held hostage. The Maw ready to bare its fangs.

Eina was at home and teaching the Children of Ashla. They were still a very new species and many had to learn what this life was like, what it was like to exist in this form. She and the rest of the Valkyrja understood this better than anyone else at Netherworld, so they dealt with the "new born". It was an interesting thing, but Eina loved doing it. That's why she always dealt with the new Valkyrja as well. But ironically, Children of Ashla was also partly her "child," as they were created under her leadership. She was glad she was able to help Ashla's followers in this way.

She was about to go home to Geiseric, when there was a disturbance in the Force. She felt that something bad was going to happen to someone close to her. Eina also felt who it was. It wasn’t Geiseric, it was someone else who was in Realspace. Her adopted brother, Heinrich Faust Heinrich Faust . The Valkyrja didn't just want to leave her beloved crusader here without warning, so she sent him a telepathic message.

~ I feel like Heinrich is in danger, I'll go to the Realspace and see if he’s safe. After that I hurry back to you, you don't have to worry! ~ her voice, as always, is kind and caring.

Luckily, she knew Heinrich well enough, so she could easily tune in to his Force signature. It required a little more serious concentration because they were still in two separate worlds. But she soon found him. Eina opened a rift to the place where the man was and crossed it…

"Ouch! Ugh!" she groaned.

There was a huge bang in the area behind the cockpit where Eina arrived and slammed into the wall because of the ship's movement. The Valkyrja arrived in a physical body, so it slammed into the wall with its armour. Her spear fell to the ground, clattering loudly, and the red-haired woman groaned painfully. She hit her wings the best. When she rescued Gei from the captivity of the Sith Lord, she had a similarly unpleasant experience.

The Valkyrja's strong Light side aura was already felt the moment she crossed the rift, so despite the loud arrival, everyone could feel she had arrived. She felt the man and someone else. After getting up off the ground, if she could then she entered the cockpit, if not, she just looked inside from the corridor. Because of her wings, she may not fit if the room is not too large.

"Heinrich, in Ashla's name, I'm glad you're unharmed. I felt you're in danger… I felt it through the Force." she said quickly, in a worried voice. Then she noticed that someone else was here, Eina might have looked the same age as the young man, whose features she recognized almost immediately. She spent quite a bit of time with Cedric while the man slept after the siege of Ession. "Oh! Welcome, Lord Grayson!"

Stealth.

It wasn't exactly his thing. But, he did at least look more like a spacer than a Jedi. Maybe he could play that up? The ship was parked a distance away from the city, as Valery Noble Valery Noble suggested. And the walk to the city was pretty unimportant and certainly not brief. But now they were there. He followed her lead as they snuck through the checkpoint. Naturally people were on the lookout, but a former shadow?

He at least didn't slow her down.

But it was inside the city that something felt.. Off. Not just everything that was happening. Kahlil's lips thinned, his gaze shifting around them. The briefest moment he felt it. Hate and anger directed towards the one he was bonded to.

".. So, miss Shadow, you have an idea on where we can start looking for this Kryll fellow?" He didn't bring attention to it. More likely than not she felt it too. But it was gone too quick for them to figure out what it was. They'd handle it, if it ever came up again.

Madison flew her T-71 X Type into the hanger bay of the frigate. Then took the lift to the cockpit. Dozens of people lined the hallway outside. All looking quite pensive. If eerily silent.

"Mmm." She didn't like the look of this.

She slowly shouldered past the comm officers and peeked in the cockpit doors. The captain was sitting against the far wall. Tapping his fingers impatiently. All three pilots watched their instruments closely. But nobody said a word.

"Captain?" Madison queried.

He just held up a finger to shh her. As if distracted by the lights on the dashboard.

A moment passed in silence and nobody moved. Not even a soul in the hallway. Then a hand touched Madison's shoulder.

"Hey. Look. They're busy. No offense. Um. Here. This way."

The ship's cook took Madison aside and pushed her slowly back through the pensive crowd. Until they could talk alone in the next corridor.

"Okay. So. What's the situation?" Madison frowned softly.

"The usual." the grumpy human sighed, "Leaderships all gummed up right now. The Nemos want their militia to handle it. The Magistrate is requesting an Allied Jedi response. And The Secretary back on Commenor is clambering for intel and updates about our cannibal friends. So yeah. It's messy. Comms have been a mess since we got here. The cities gone dark and we've already got agents prowling about all on their lonesome down there."

"So they're waiting on updates from the ground teams?" Madison shuffled anxiously.

"Yeah. People want a plan. But, we don't know much about what's going on down there. Troop strength. Citizens harmed. Bad guys in other cities. Yeah. It's a mess."

"Well. It kinda feels like a distraction to me. Or worse." Madison looked around the corner. Making sure nobody could hear her in the cockpit.

"Yeah. You're not the only one who feels that way. The Secretary thinks it's just the beginning too. And the Brass are itching for the next piece of the puzzle. They all knows its gonna get worse." He mimicked her movement. Making sure to keep his voice down.

"Mm. So. How many?"

"Jedi?"

"Yeah."

"No idea. We're decentralized here. Heard of people coming in from all sectors. Could be... Half a dozen by now." He scratched his chin. Then shrugged.

Madison nodded and looked back down the hallway. Still no update from the cockpit.

"Okay. So what's the plan?" She insisted.

"No idea. They'll probably wait until something happens or somebody gets some intel flowing. Nobody wants to take the blame for something like this. You know how it goes. ...Mmm. Otherwise. It's probably the usual. Poke the Fleet for available ships and get the Medical Corps ready to respond to another planet-wide disaster."

"And the cannibals?" She sighed. Harder this time.

"Who knows. Frukking loonies. Screw em'."

They both chuckled. But. Just a bit.

Mm. Then Madison shrugged and kicked her boots against the bulkhead. Mostly in annoyance.

"Okay." She nodded, "Guess I'll get some food and wait to see what the GA do. Want something?"

"Nah." He waved the idea away, "I'm good. Think I'll just wait here. See what happens next. Comms are bound to light up soon, anyways."

"Right. Pfft. Good luck with that." She smiled and moved to leave. Mess hall was downstairs anyway.

"Oh hey!" the man remembered, "...Where's that New-New Jedi Master of yours anyway? Ain't he supposed to be here too?"

Madison smiled as she stepped back into the lift and hit the button.

"Oh he's here alright. Probably off doing his Superman thing. Heh."

"What..?"

Sssspt. The doors closed with a happy hiss. Leaving Madison smiling and nodding to herself. Anxious to see what kind of Jedi Crazy happened next.

We all fall in parallel
"You sure about this?" the shaky voice ripped Taku from his thoughts as the captain stared back at him from the cockpit. Klaxons were blaring as they broke into realspace, just outside of Cato Neimoidian airspace. The gravity well that pulled them out belonged to a massive destroyer that came clearly into view on the horizon. "We're getting hailed," the man cut in again before he had a chance to respond.

"Our decision was made when we jumped," Taku said quietly as he stepped past the other man and flipped the comm online. "Alliance Unit 003873 responding," he reported in the fashion he'd rehearsed so many times as a Jedi Padawan.

There came a pause that only enhanced the collective anxiety.

:: The records we have from the Galactic Alliance indicate that Unit 003873 is considered Missing-In-Action as of four years ago, :: the female voice rattled through the comms device, and Taku could feel the sudden terror of the Captain. He shot the man a quick glance and held a finger to his lips. Wait. :: In addition, that code belonged to a Jedi Padawan named Takui Mihzu. The New Jedi Order has cleaved from the Alliance for various reasons. Because of the irregularity surrounding this situation and due to current circumstances, we ask for your cooperation in a routine search of your vessel, and a temporary hold for questioning. ::

He pursed his lips. "You have my word that the crew of this ship will cooperate with you," he said quickly. "However, I am going to jettison an escape pod and respond to the threat on Cato Neimoidia on my own."

:: Negative, if you are who you say you are, we will verify your identity and you will be released into Jedi custody. Please power down your engines and await further orders- ::

"I knew this was a bad idea." The captain grumbled as he powered down the comm unit and turned to Taku. "We said we'd have your back, and nothing's changed about that." He tapped the console and gestured toward the back of the ship. "They will be able to intercept your pod if you wait too much longer. Go, don't worry about us- we'll be fine."

They stood for a moment as Taku looked inside himself for something to say. The conflict began to take hold, whether to stay with his friends or to continue forward, but the man spoke again. "We came here resolved to do this," he reiterated.

"Go."
The escape pod jettisoned less than a minute thereafter.

Their ship shot by Heinrich Faust Heinrich Faust 's the two groups meeting having come to a stop not even an hour before.

"They here too, Master," was all she said, her hand pressed to the cockpit glass as Dagon guided them on by. Her belt felt heavy with the new weight that sat there. Jem brushed her father's saber with her fingers and looked down to the holonet.

"It's chaos," she reported, reading from the text. "They've hostageded the whole city. There's .... controlled chokepoints cutting off the people's militia. They...." Jem paused, her skin color blanching. She looked, disturbed as she held his gaze. "They're demanding force sensitive children."

She closed the report, the whole incident sitting wrong in her gut. What would anyone gain from that? Unless...

A familiar flash of paint caught her attention, followed by a tug. "Master Noble?" The ship passed their peripheral as it lowered towards the city outskirts. "Follow them."

Gravity pressed against them as they broke atmo. Jem scuttled to the far window and watched the streets raced up to meet them. She could see some of the aforementioned choke points... on the street. They could could circumvent by simply traveling above. She scanned the rooftops for a clear path. On top of a nondescript terrace close by, she saw an out of place gleam of metal. Jem blinked and pressed forward, only to have her overhead view cut off by them touching ground.

Then

By a stroke of luck, Finley had been in the area when the distressed calls first reached him, having visited with the paternal side of his family on Corellia (well more like on a big rock of Corellia) for Life Day and the New Years. It was a bittersweet end to an otherwise pleasant vacation. The Force Sensitive could feel the trepidation radiating from his family as they watched him slip on his holster and jacket, never too far out of reach no matter where he rested his head.

They didn't want him to go, and Ashla knew he didn't want to leave them.

However, this was the gig he signed up for.

"Cato Neimodia is just a light skip away." he pointed out. "I'll be back before the curry cools." He gave a weak chuckle, his attempt to bring some levity to the room.

Faces remained dour.

"It's...been great." he continued with a more sober expression, shoulders falling slack. "Took my mind off things for a while."

His eldest aunt Trishaa was the first to latch onto him with a strong hug that nearly made him wheeze. That triggered nearly a dozen other of his family to converge upon his position in one mass embrace. Finley couldn't help but chuckle again, but this time the gesture was genuine.

"Give 'em hell boy," Trishaa practically demanded. "Save your people."

"Yes," he promised, then slowly peeled himself away.

As he freed himself from the glob of Dawsons, he felt something hard and smooth pass into his gloved hands. When free, he saw it was a bottle of Whyren's Reserve. Even before the calamity on Corellia, this stuff had been a pricey item, now the premium whiskey was liquid gold.

"For the flight," his Uncle Doren beamed. "Might as well go in on a high note."

Finley laughed while passing it back to him.

"No, I'm coming back for this."

ZXDmlmR.png

Now

It really was only a skip from Corellian space across the GA border into Cato Neimodia, arriving with the first wave of responders. A quick reaction force was gathering in orbit while Jedi operators of all different stripes were already on the ground. He didn't follow them to the surface, opting to remain in orbit and to assess the situation in detail before diving in, docking with the Airmed. The cruiser was purpose-built to triage entire planets and systems with its advanced medical suite. There was a chance that the bombs could be diffused, and the cultists rounded up with the minimal loss of life, but the brass was signaling it was preparing for the worst-case scenario with the appearance of the hospital ship.

Finley would act in kind, grim acceptance that many would probably perish before the day was done.

He accepted that, but he couldn't accept how easily the cultists had disarmed the forces of a major Core world near the Concord's political capital, only a stone throw's away from the Galactic Alliance. Many of their forces were still arrayed along the border dealing with the mop-up of the Bryn, but he hadn't expected the defenses to have such massive holes in a strategic area like Cato Neimodia, a major financial hub of the Core.

In a holographic conference with local commanders and government officials on-site, they were equally perplexed. For now, there was nothing to be done, but moving forward it was a serious issue that had to be addressed by the Silver Jedi and Concord government.

Now it was onto more pressing matters, namely the bombs.

"I see we have people on foot providing HUMINT, but I'm afraid it may take too long to suss out every bomb location by an individual search. We can take advantage of satellite footage and the surviving CCT infrastructure planetside to backtrace the incursion of the terrorists and their signals, and track them in real-time along with the ships in orbit. I've also reached out to the Silver Fleet to divert additional ISR assets to us. They're coming by way of Commenor, so they should be here shortly."

"In the meantime, I'm working with the Captain of the Airmed to start sniffing out the particle traces of the bombs - she is retooling the lifeform scanners on board with the Antarian Ranger's explosive database. Hopefully, we'll be able to share this data with Concord ground assets as it becomes available."

So Finley had the wheels spinning on the initial response from the air. Medivac teams were on standby and all surveillance elements on the scene were being redirected to root out the terrorists and their explosive payloads.

The Knight would feel much better hunting down the ring leader of the attack, though, so as soon as more senior officers showed up he would hand off all macro concerns to them, including coordinating with all the Non-Concord friendlies steadily piling in.

He let out a heavy sigh as the first briefing ended.

What a way to start out the New Year.

The Set was seeing action sooner than Briana expected, having only returned from her trip to Hapes before the broadcast went out. The train had whipped below them like a bullet of light only a few minutes prior, the thick streaks of fog that hung around the worlds atmosphere making it seem like it was disappearing into the clouds.

The repulsor's whined in the air as she fought to hold the ship in place long enough to switch out with Seever, "Make sure to stay on course with that train, she's fast enough to keep up." Her hand clasped his metal shoulder before unbuckling from the crash webbing and leaving the trusted droid at the helm to go and address the small gathering that'd amassed on her father's old ship.

Friends, allies, and even pillars. She couldn't have asked for a better group of Jedi to watch her back for the dangerous mission that lay ahead.

"In about five minutes Seever is going to release the access hatch, we have about..." she looked to the chrono nearby, her lips pulling up to one side. "Three minutes to make it onto the end of that train before it makes another go around. We've already been over it, but there's no telling what might be waiting for us once we get onboard, we should expect resistance. Everyone make sure that you are well stocked on your stim shots. Danger. Oppression. Fear. Iris could see it all as she stared out the window of The Set. She wasn't sure what to make of it all. It wasn't war. It was innocent people being held hostage. An in exchange, they wanted more innocent people. Children. Force Sensitive children. Why, Iris couldn't fathom. But she was here now to try and help fix it. The train was rigged to blow. They needed to get on board and stop it.

That much she could do.

Flying wasn't particularly one of Lossa's favorite things in the galaxy. Heights weren't terrible comparatively given there was something solid and affixed to the crust of the planet beneath her. It was dizzying sure. But the largest worry high up was the thinner air throwing her into a coughing fit.

Or compounding a dizzy spell until she passed out.

Things she hadn't let on just yet as she kept herself from white knuckle gripping her seat even after taking a discrete dose from her prescription before they had taken off. The last thing she wanted was to get into a tizzy halfway there and get the weird stares.

Or even explain herself on the matter. Deep and steady breaths, made quieter with concentration, she kept her wits about her and managed to fight off the creeping anxiety in the back of her mind.

Briana seemed like a good flyer. Hadn't given Lossa a reason to make her second guess hopping into the ship when the call had been made.

But every space worthy, or even atmospheric craft aside from landspeeders, made her question the sanity of people. She distracted herself from thinking on it more, touching the hidden bag beneath her robe for a sense of security as she looked ahead and glanced about the cabin.

Her grandfather would be smiling seeing her inside a ship like this.

Briana swapped out for the droid pilot before giving instructions, her calm channeling through her pheromones as she glanced to Romi when Briana gave her the floor.

Absent-minded, she undid the buckles that held her in before beginning to pop her fingers slowly. Even through the medicine, a nervous habit was kicking in.

The idea of tackling something like this a staunch first as she thought on the task ahead.

Mykal-class Courier Rimward Repose, moving to dock with Pelta-class Medical Frigate Bellaguise, in orbit via Cato Neimoidia

The space around Cato Neimoidia was chaotic - while a number of vessels had attempted to leave the bridge city, many more filtered in as the appearance of the Bando Gora became more well known. Travot tilted the yoke of one such small craft, banking around a lumbering star destroyer that was part of the newly arrived Task Force Undertow. He narrowed his eyes. It's always like this when I get to the Core Worlds. Too many people. His console chirped several times in rapid succession, alerting him to the fact that it had located the rendezvous location. He spared a glance at his nautolan padawan, Lanyria.

"Go ahead and plug in those coordinates while I work on making sure we aren't eaten by a wayward bulk cruiser."

She smirked as she began to type on the console, "Those can be pretty devious enemies."

He brought the craft in an Immelman maneuver around a cruiser to spot the Bellaguise, which appeared to have already taken on another docked vessel. Through the Force, the jedi guardian could feel the presence of several other of their kind. This must be it. He cut back the throttle as they approached until they neared within several dozen meters of the frigate, at which point he let the auto-pilot finish the docking maneuver - partly out of convenience, and partly because that sort of precision flying he found tedious. As he got up, Lanyria quickly followed behind him.

"I sense that Master Jax Thio Jax Thio and his padawan, Madison Starr are onboard already."

The two quickly made their way through the frigate, with the man navigating through the maze of corridors and doors via dead reckoning while guided by the Force to their presence. Travot offered a curt nod of greeting as he met with the other jedi.

"Master Thio, Padawan Starr," said the bulky man, gesturing to the nautolan to his right, "I am not sure if you have met my padawan before, Lanyria."

His padawan offered a respectful bow to the pair.

"What news is there from the planet?"

Planetary Operations Center, Emerald Undertow, entering orbit around Cato Neimoidia

"Latest intelligence estimates suggest that they number no more than three hundred," announced Ariela.

Admiral Quee studied the flatscreens and holos around the room which showed live feed from within the bridge city itself. While beautiful and spectacular, the cities seemed so vulnerable to him now that he couldn't understand why anyone would knowingly live there. A thought that the Bando Gora had apparently very intelligently sought to exploit for their own needs. He studied on particular chokepoint and briefly considered the use of a precision strike but quickly dismissed the thought. Too much potential for collateral damage. And this close to the Core, everyone would know about it too if there was a mistake...She interrupted his thoughts once more.

"More Jedi seem to be arriving," observed the HRD.

He slowly nodded, "This probably more of their area of expertise. It seems the deeper I look into the archival information on the Bando Gora, the more tangled it becomes."

She nodded in agreement, "It would seem that several distinct groups have used the name in the last dozen years. THere may be a few common members between them, but it would appear to be thready at best, especially compared to the comparatively well known group which fought the Omega Protectorate."

"We'll let the jedi take the lead on this one," said the blonde man, "but we can get things ready to support them, and for the worse case scenarios."

He turned his eyes to face the shrouded holographic visage of the Atropos unit, "See what you can do to get us more intelligence on what's going on down there. Hack the security cams, look up train movement records, etc. We need to know how many of them are down there, what their capabilities are, and what's going on these rumored bombs."

The artificial intelligence offered a brief acknowledgement before dissipating. Gir looked around the room, looking past dozens of officers and technicians. And now I lost the other one....He cleared his throat.

"Dryas."

A holo of a Chiss wearing an unranked military uniform appeared in front of him. Changed his appearance yet again it seems...He offered the other AI a brief smile.

"You already know that we're gathering more information, but I'd like you to begin to select and assemble a rapid reaction force based on available forces within the task force for a rapid response, based on your own analysis as the data comes. Let me if we need to move any ships for optimal deployment."

Dryas abruptly disappeared to begin his own task.

The Praxeum was just starting to find its footing with the actual construction of a campus after helping rebuild Knossa. A nice size group of students assembled there shortly after, and the usual process began. However, beyond the first cohort, they weren't many in terms of available Knights ready for dispatch; these things took time. Though of course when on alert they had to spare what resources they could. So she asked for volunteers...and quite a few students stepped up to the challenge.

She liked that.

She got a quick re-brief off to the side -- wrapping her utility belt, she found comfort in the fastener clicking.

"A city-wide locked down, comm systems hacked with Bando Gora propaganda -- a group that's been mildly silent for, I don't know, how many several years now? The planetary military are struggling to gain control and have been sparse since we've entered the system. And, the threat of bombs...all out of nowhere? No signs leading up to this?" She glanced over to one of the Knights--he was a techy type--with their group, "Sounds fishy...but-" she shouldered on her bomber jacket, throwing her hair loose. "Lets just move with caution. I get the proverbial bad feeling too. Make sure to connect with other teams if possible, least of all for coordination. In fact if you can get a message out to Dagon Kaze Dagon Kaze that'd be great. He's one of our best investigators."

"Admiral Gir Quee Gir Quee has taken position in orbit." he responded, "Oh nice, might be good to get a line through with him too. If you can patch through that is."

She sauntered over towards the paddy-pack. She was just on the tail end of Sal-Soren's prep speech.

Briana said:
"Master Jade, is there anything else you'd like to add?"

Jade's face screwed up as her mind wondered for words, honestly she was hoping to say something that wouldn't possibly seem grim -- she could literally feel how anxious Lossa Darcuhl Lossa Darcuhl was from across the room; it was practically nipping at the air.

She shrugged, "Erm, right. Well it's seeming like a pretty thick situation down there, but the best type of training you can get is down on the ground. Trust yourself-your instincts and uh...Kark it, try to have fun? Keep looking up, always."

Heh

"You got this. Briana I'd like you to be my second." she had spunk. "Everyone ready?"

Space above Cato Nemoida

Juno entered the space above Cato Nemoida in what was a fairly non-descript freighter. She flew down to planet noting several warships, fighters, and nicer freighters had begun setting a perimeter around the planet. Was it really a perimeter if you had to cover three dimensions? Or would 'establishing a surface area' be a better description? Juno pondered this for a moment, then decided it wasn't worth her time. At least not while the Bandit Gora where causing trouble on the planet. Juno opened a channel to whoever might be listening and signalled her intent.

"ALCON, this is Alekandor heading down to Al-Toa to provide support " Juno messaged and began her descent not to the trains, but towards the palace, trying to find a landing spot within a few kilometers of the palace. Juno had a suspicion she was needed there. Juno also had a suspicion she wouldn't be the same after this job.

BLACKFANG - THE (NEW) JEDI vol. II

Issue #4 - Crisis on Cato Neimodia

GADividerPurple.png

Something willed the aloof Padawan to Cato Neimodia.

Undeniably the Force, but to what end? Was it the hundred of lives threatened to be killed? Was the determination of the malevolent being behind this so powerful? So strong to shift the currents of the Force to draw so many to a world ignored by most?

Whatever the reason, it was his duty to intervene. Even across Alliance borders and into another government that housed their own Jedi Order's space. He'd not done it before, but the voice of his master from so many years back echoed in his mind. Speaking of the inaction of those from his generation who had given up the fight, who had regrettably allowed tyranny and monsters to grow roots and become strong.

N'Jazaka came today, so that he never became that.

In the wake of challenging his own Order's leaders to be visible monoliths of their beliefs, was it not his duty to do the same?

He felt a slight rumble in the cockpit of his X-Wing, shaking slightly as it entered Neimodia's atmosphere, streaking down to the source of the undulating woes. He was determined to make quick work of this, to put an end to the creeping feeling that had grown in his stomach the closer he got to At-La'o.

Find the leader. Cut off his head. Bad guys scatter. Other people find the kids.

Wherever the Bando Gora came from, without a strong force guiding them, they were sure to disappear into the same shadows they came out of, he reasoned. Definitely going to be easier than it sounds.

"You better be ready to take control this time, Bee. We almost died last time." His time in Saber Squadron was not the most pleasant of experiences. The fuselage still had scarring in some spots by the proton bomb's explosion!

Ignoring the chirping and tweeting curses from his trusty astromech, he glanced out the side of the canopy, tilting to see the city below. Not the best of options for landings, considering the goal.
