So far her day had been going swimmingly...literally. Having found herself within the vast Jedi Temple, Jairdain had done just that. While under the water, a stranger had sat down nearby. Striking up a conversation with him, she had no idea much time they had actually sat and talked together. In the end, she had basically ended up asking him out on a date. A little to her surprise, he said yes. Then again, he had kept complimenting her looks...it shouldn't have been that much of one. Agreeing to meet outside of the Temple, she felt she needed something new for this.

She now had a few hours before they were to meet and she went shopping. Luckily this wasn't the first time she had been to Coruscant and it probably wouldn't be her last. Searching for the perfect shop, she allowed the Force to guide her. So far, today, it hadn't led her wrong. That could always go south but she didn't think it would. Her intuition told her this was meant to be and she wasn't going to argue with that.

Opening the door to the shop that was giving her a warm feeling, somebody approached her right away. He must have the eyes to know she had money. However, her current clothes weren't cheap. Taking her by the hand. He took her through the store and made a few suggestions. Making a few additional choices, she asked for a fitting room to try them on. Putting the new items on, she asked her wolf what he thought of them. After changing a few times, she decided on what she wanted, bought them, and returned to her ship.

Even though she had cleaned up before going to the Temple, she felt like doing it again. After showering, she brushed her hair out and let it hang naturally. Getting dressed, she looked at herself through the eyes of Sage. Liking what she saw, she gave him a treat and smiled slightly. Finding a bag for him to stay in since these new clothes didn't have a pocket for him like most of her others did.

Checking to make sure he was comfortable, she left her. Though they had met in the Temple, they were going to meet in the Entertainment District of the world. Hailing a taxi, she provided the driver with an address and took off into the early evening. The trip didn't take long and soon enough she found herself waiting on her date to arrive.

<So let me get this straight?> BB-12 began to roll around the floor hopping over the fresh Pizza boxes he had consumed this afternoon. <This Jairdain was married and has kids?>
"Yes BB-12," Jax said annoyed. He was busy applying cologne on his chest before he wore his black and white formal suit. It was probably the only decent suit Jax had in his wardrobe. The rest were just either casual or just his usual Jedi Robes, the NJO provided Jax with armor and sneaking suits so he didn't need to worry about maintaining them though he was taught how to repair military armor on the field.
"For millionth time she has children," Jax buttoned his suit jacket BB-12 has been pestering him with this fact about Jairdain ever since he told all him all about the pale skinned beauty. "What are you trying to get at?" The Jedi knelt down in his closet began to dig around the used soda cans and ice cream wrappers that BB-12 shoved in here. "Why do I get the feeling that you're going to say something stupid?"
<I'm just saying Jax....> BB-12 rolled over and used his cable to snatch a Pizza off the kitchen table. <If this date goes anywhere. That means you're a cuck.>
"The frack you just say?!" Jax took found his black shoes that were buried beneath the Krazy Taco wrappers before whipping his head to face his gorging droid who most definitely said a stupid thing. "A cuck?! That's not what a cuck is BB-12!"
<You'll be raising your girlfriend's daughter.> BB-12 began shoving the lone slice of Pizza down the slot located in the middle of his spherical body. <That's not very manly Jax.>
"What did I tell you about surfing the Holonet?!" Jax growled feeling he urge to force push his droid out of the window. "There are trillions of brain dead morons who spout out shit and think their smart. Just because Jairdain has kids and I'm dating her doesn't mean I'm a fracking cuck! Your assessment is way off."
BB-12 continued to consume on the Pizza remaining silent while Jax slipped on the other shoe. "You better not be in the slush BB-12." he said. "All that junk data, the Galactic Alliance dumps will feed conspiracy theories. Remember the fracking time you try to kill Aveline Cuiléin Aveline Cuiléin because you thought she was vampire bat wanting to suck your brains."
<She could've.> BB-12 said.
"You don't have brains you idiot!" Jax shouted. "A man dating woman with kids is just..... that. Dating nothing more nothing less."
<Just makes you a cuck.> BB-12 said.
"I'll see you later nerf herder," Jax mumbled heading out the door. "And when I come home you and I will have a long talk about cuckoldry and what it really means."
What a way to start off a date, Jax rushed out of the apartment hailing a Taxi as it took to the Entertainment District located in the lower levels of Coruscant. The Jedi really needed to be more attentive with monitoring the lower levels at night things like gang battles, exchanging of drugs and illegal gambling goes on. Though Jax does indulge in some of those activities sometimes, as soon as he landed he saw Jairdain dressed in a formal outfit but still looking very beautiful with her pale skin, violet eyes and long black hair cascading past her shoulders.
"Hello there," Jax smirked giving Jairdain a hug. "You look absolutely gorgeous angel face," he said. "I can just stare at you all night and that'll be our date. So what do you want to do? Eat? Gamble? The night is yours."

Pushing her hair back behind her ear, she turned around when she heard Jax approaching. Giving him a smile, she returned the hug he gave her. Letting go of him, he might notice a small nose poking out of the bag at her side.

"Thank you. I picked this out just for tonight."

It was something she would consider casual for her. After having been around royalty for so long, this was just who she was now. She had decided on a suit. It had dark pants and a jacket to match. Under that was a light green blouse that almost matched the color of her wolf. Even though she had just bought it, it still looked like it was tailored just for her.

"I'm sure I would say the same thing about you, but I'm blind. This little guy here can be my eyes when I need to see."

There, she had finally given voice to her handicap. Not that it really held her back in any manner since she could use the Force to somewhat see with. The problem with that was she couldn't see fine details or what anything actually looked like. Unless she used the eyes of Sage.

As if on cue, he finished getting his out from inside the bag and started climbing up to Jairdain's shoulder. Petting him as he got comfortable, he held a paw out to Jax.

"This is Sage."

When he mentioned staring at her all night, she just smiled slightly and shook her head. Then he asked what she wanted to do.

"We're next to a casino. Why not try our hand at some of the games?"

During her time with the Commenori government, she had been the advisor to the crown prince there. He had started teaching her about gambling. Considering that was the life he had come up from, he felt his advisor should know how to play. A small bit of sorrow could be felt from her at the thought and memory of Bradshaw but she quickly pushed it away. Now was not the time to dwell on the past. While she was still recovering from the death of her husband, she felt the man in front of her was going to help heal her. And she would help heal him.

The Force had guided them together and she wasn't going to let go of what might be because she was stuck in the past.

Jax thought he was hallucinating when though he saw small eyes staring at him through Jaridain's bag. He tried to let it slide though assuming that he was just caught up in the moment. "First time wearing it eh?" Jax chuckled staring at Jairdain trying not to be enchanted by her beauty. "So yeah I didn't know you were blind." Jax began to rub the back of his neck trying ease the awkwardness. "I mean with your haunting violet eyes I didn't pay attention to the fact that you were couldn't see I mean- shit I'm making it worse am I?"
He was failing miserably at being smooth was he?
It was then Jax eyes rose up in shock when a tiny wolf popped from Jardain's bag. "Oh shit!" Jax said taking a step back. "So my mind wasn't playing tricks on me!" Jairdain introduced the small animal as Sage and he served as her eyes so to speak. So perhaps she used the force and her abilities to guide her.
"So yeah let's get some games! Lady Luck is smiling at me tonight!" Jax chuckled. "And by Lady Luck I mean you angel face!" Petting the small wolf Jax gave Jairdain a toothy grin holding out his hand for her to take. "Let's get some gambling done!" he said.

"Well, technically the second time as I needed to try it on."

Chuckling with him, she felt him notice Sage and then try to ignore the small wolf. That worked for just a few moments before he came out of the bag and practically introduced himself. Tilting her head to the side, Jairdain wondered to herself how a person could miss that she was blind. Her eyes didn't actually focus on a person.

"You're fine, Jax. If you didn't notice, then does it really matter?"

To some, it might but she didn't feel like it would to him. As Sage climbed up to her shoulder, she felt the shock from Jax and laughed. Rubbing her companion, she moved her hand as Jax came close to pet him too.

"Not at all. Sage is very real. Um, I can't read. So the cards won't mean anything to me. Though I do know some games, just never gamed before. Lake Luck huh?"

Taking a hold of the hand he offered, she smiled as she anticipated a good evening with Jax.

There was a lot about Jairdain that threw Jax off guard, from her unique force powers, to her blindness, to her small pet that could easily get crushed by a unassuming person walking on the street. Now it's the fact that Jairdain can't read? "Shit you can't read?" Jax said holding her hand as he guided her towards the entrance of the Casino. "I would think given my first impressions regarding your wisdom that you are a well read person."
The galaxy at least in the Core Worlds has a very high literacy rate 98 percent according to BB-12's analysis and the majority of the 2 percent who are illiterate are either young children or were born with birth defects. "I mean if you're interested in learning how to read," Jax smiled. "I can teach you. Reading is an important skill to excel in this galaxy. Why else do the slave masters deprive their slaves from learning how to read? It's because they can understand not only the way out from their chains but they can have the knowledge to combat their oppressors. Reading is essential to gaining knowledge you can't just rely on the Force all the time. Just say the word and I'll begin teaching you at the Temple."
Jax chuckled nervously it was really hard to maintain a conversation the small wolf poking his head and staring at him curiously did not help. "I think though it does matter if I didn't notice," Jax said as they began to enter a Casino that was named: Gambler's paradise. "I want to know everything about you Jairdain. I don't want to accidentally hurt you know? Like I did with.... Aveline."
Now that took a terrible turn which was supposed to be a great evening two blue Brutes were standing guard and allowed the pair in. As soon as Jac and Jaridain entered, he was greeted by a haze of smoke and the sounds of laughter and rolling of dice. The Casino was a marble white filled with sharply dressed people drinking, smoking and gambling. Music played accompanying the atmosphere of debauchery, it was kind of indie music that BB-12 and Jax liked while they were repairing his Podracer.
Grand-Theft-Auto-Online_Diamond-Casino-and-Resort.jpg
"Two Jedi living the fancy life!" Jax yelled through the noise. "So you say you don't know too much about gambling? Well allow me to help you on that front!"
Jax winked at Jairdair a gleam in his eye, he definitely played at these Casinos before while undercover or just plain fun and let's just say with the Force anything is possible.

Shrugging her shoulders slightly, it had never occurred to her that she would ever need to know how to read. It wasn't a skill she had considered learning. Now that she had admitted it and given voice to it, Jax said she seemed to be full of wisdom. Smiling just a little, there was a touch of bitterness about her aura.

"Wise a person might be even if they don't know how to read. Life is tough sometimes and one learns from every experience one has. Sometimes more than they expect. I'll tell you all about it at some point. Not tonight. Tonight let's focus on the now."

The bitterness faded as she finished speaking and she walked next to Jax as he led her into the casino. Rubbing at her neck slightly, she cleared her throat and returned her hand to her side.

Listening to everything else her new companion was saying, she nodded.

"I'll be using Sage to look at the writing since...well."

Raising her free hand, she waved it in front of her blind eyes then lowered it again. When he mentioned hurting his Padawan, she squeezed his hand when he faltered in speaking. Feeling the guilt and shame from him, Jairdain was trying to comfort him as best she could.

"I think we have both done things we are not proud of."

As he said he wanted to know everything about her, she tilted her head to the side and let out of breath of laughter. Getting into the casino, the sound of the music reached her ears and she shook her head while it took her a moment to get used to the various other sounds too.

"I think it might be easier to communicate through the Force. How good are you at telepathy?"

Just a simple question coming from a mentalist. That didn't mean everybody was good at it. Having taught countless younglings and Padawans the skill, she did not know how much Jax knew or didn't.

His blink was entirely missed since she was unable to see the fine details of anything.

"There are a few games I know the basics of. What do you have in mind?"

Drinks were on the house and she accepted one that was offered. Checking to make sure it wasn't somehow poisoned, she took a sip of it and kept a hold of the glass.

"I suppose that's true," Jax shrugged holding on to Jairdain's hand. "You can have wisdom through experience but to truly expand on wisdom one must have the ability to read. It's a fundamental tool to have especially when negotiating." If there was one thing that kept Jax under control other than practicing his Lightsaber skills was reading. The Jedi was quite the vociferous reader when he was younger, often spending as much time in the Library than he was in the practice arena. He was fascinated with things such as history and bloodlines, Jax didn't know why he was so interested in reading. He supposed it was because he wanted to learn who he was and where he came from. It was the biggest mystery to Jax, why did his family drop him near the Jedi Temple? Or was it his family? Maybe he got stolen away by some Jedi fanatic who placed force sensitive babies near the temple so the Jedi can pick them up who knows. All Jax wants to know was who was his family and are they alive?
"What if sage isn't with you?" Jax asked. "I'm just Jairdain there are other methods of reading for the blind, ever heard of braille? It's a way for blind people to read and write. Think of it as a tactile writing system."
He'd hoped that Jairdain would accept his offer, Jax couldn't just stand and see a person not know how to read even if she has a pet who can do it for her. Still Jax left it up to her, the Jedi felt Jairdain's peering into his mind as he smirked. "I'm good with telepathy." he communicated in her mind using the force. "I must say you are beautiful inside as you are out. I just can't help but be attracted to you, the brains and beauty I've only a few women who possesses both. I gotta say I'm pretty lucky to meet you."
Jax sighed as he lead her to the Roulette table. "I just hope Aveline Cuiléin Aveline Cuiléin will forgive me," he said. "But right now let's try to leave the past the behind it's coming at the expense of the moment."
Hold Jairdain's hand Jax saw that the table was a 1000 credit one. "Shit," he said taking out a 1000 credit chip. "Time to play Roulette!" Know how to play?"

While he admitted what she said was true, he pointed out he felt there was a need for reading when making negotiations. Chuckling a little, she shook her head.

"That's not true at all. I am a diplomat and have made many without sight just fine. Just look into a few of the records of the Silvers. Or I could just tell you. There was a time in my life when I worked for a King, Queen, and was the advisor of their Crown Prince. All the time being blind. It probably could have helped, but it wasn't needed."

Sensing some of the questions within him, she wouldn't probe tonight. Not wanting to dwell too much on the past, she listened to the questions he posed to her.

"Sage is almost always with me and if he isn't I have a small device that reads to me."

Taking that out of her pocket, he held it out to him. Since she didn't know how to read...yet, she still carried it with her. Replacing it in the bag, she shrugged her shoulders when he asked about Braille.

"Yeah, sort of. There are some datapads made for Miraluka that have the raised lettering. My people didn't teach me. So no, I can't read that either. Something for the future..."

As she said that, her heart felt like it was going a million miles an hour. Her breath grew short for a moment and she almost pulled away from Jax.

"That came out wrong!"

Trying to calm her beating heart down, Jairdain drew several deep breaths and then heard him in her mind. Focusing on the communication helped to soothe her sudden nerves. A bit of a surprised looked came across her face and she softened up more.

"She will."

Shaking her head when he asked if she knew how to play the game, she waited on at least the basics of what was expected.

Jax raised his eyebrows while Jairdain listed off her accomplishments as a diplomat. "Wow," Jax said. "That's pretty impressive but think how much more you'll if you had the ability to read."
Still it seems that Jairdain had gotten far without it but what's one more powerful tool in the arsenal of a diplomat. It was then Jax sensed a great unease from Jairdain as she pulled away from him. "Hey," the Jedi used the force to soothe her entire body. "Are you okay?" Jax helped Jairdain balance holding her hands against his. "If there's something wrong tell me and I'll listen okay?"
Jax then took out a chip and slapped it down. "Just choose a spot any spot." he said. "And the wheel will spin!"

She was about to point out that the others she dealt with were the ones that could read, she was there more as an advisor. Only a few times did she actually have to work out the deals on her own. Even then, they were read out loud so people around them could also hear.

"I understand, but I've gotten along just fine. This would just be another tool in the arsenal I already have. I agree."

And then she mentioned the future. With her recent loss, this wasn't something she was even looking for. Yet...she hoped. Not pulling away entirely, they still held hands. It was more of an emotional shying away.

"I'm sorry, Jax. I spoke of the future and I still hurt."

Knowing the pain wouldn't go away soon or easily, Jairdain had hoped to have better control of her own emotions. Giving his hand a squeeze, tears had come up in her eyes that threatened to overflow. Lifting her other hand, she tried to wipe them away before he might notice.

Taking a deep breath, even Sage nuzzled up against her chin and rested his head next to hers. More than anything else in the Galaxy, the little wolf knew exactly what she was going through.

"There's not a reason on this world why you should listen to the ramblings of a widow."

Her throat hurt again and she didn't know if it was because she was about to burst into tears or if she was getting sick. Hoping it was the first, she rubbed at it again slightly.

"Let's focus on the game and see what happens."

Jax smiled. "Good," he said. "You do have a lot credentials but talking from experience it's better to have and not need than to need and not have. There's gonna be a time when you're separated from Sage or your device starts to malfunction. To have contingency plans upon contingency plans doesn't make ya a paranoid nutcase, it makes you crazy prepared." Jax knew it was always best to remain versatile and whenever problem presents themselves he can always respond. Jax applied the philosophy towards constructing his Lightsaber, upgrading his Starfighter to his fighting style. No matter what the situation, Jax can rely on the myriad of tools that he's given himself.
The Jedi could still sense Jairdair's sadness, her husband's death was still on her mind. Jax felt a pang of guilt the moment he felt Jairdair's feelings was it right to go out with her when she clearly mourning her husband? Even though Jairdair was the first to ask Jax on a date, part of him wondered if it was the right call to act like a rebound guy. "Shit," Jax thought. "I feel like an idiot it's as if I'm taking advantage of the fact that she lost her husband."
"Jairdain" Jax whispered cupping his hand against her cheek. "You can tell me anything and I will always listen. I can sense that you're still reeling from your husband's death. I can't replicate the joy that he's given you but I'll be the first person that you can lean your head on when you want just want to talk."
He sighed. "But yes let us focus on the game Jairdain and try to be in the here and now. We can think about the past but we cannot let it consume at the expense of the moment."

There had been more than a few reasons Jairdain had asked him out. Now as her loss reared its head, she knew she had made the right choice. Even though she finally regained the control she wanted over her emotions, one still clung to her. Fear. She was afraid of losing something that was just starting and leaving her alone again.

When Jax held her face in his hand, she leaned into the touch. This was something she had been missing for months. Connection, touch, and maybe even some sense of intimacy. He was giving her this right now and they had only met hours ago. While he might not be able to replicate everything, what he could provide was something new and different. All she needed to do was set aside her fear. That was going to be much harder to do actively but she would try and make a new future for herself.

"Thank you."

Pulling her head away, she allowed him to explain the game in front of them and watched a few rounds of it through the eyes of Sage. Once she was confident she had at least the basics down, she made her first wager and pretty soon had quite a pile of chips in front of her.

"Want to take our winnings and get food?"

As she asked that, her stomach growled and she couldn't help but place a hand over it. It wasn't like anybody but she could hear it but it sounded rather loud to her ears.

Jax couldn't blame Jairdain for still thinking about her dead husband, some widows he knew would mourn their lost loved ones until the day they died. It was hard if not impossible to replace a soulmate, someone whom you gave all of your love to. Jax had fallen in love multiple times but it never evolved past throes of passion. Love was more than just a night of fracking it was a connection one that takes years to weave, it wasn't something that you can force but feel. Jax felt something for Jairdain but then again he felt something for all the women he's dated throughout his life. The pair only just met and already they were becoming intimate with each other. Jairdain leaned her face against Jax's hand feeling safe and secure but the Jedi could also sense her fear. Jairdain was afraid of taking that next step to allow herself to become attached, but still when she whispered thank you to Jax it gave him the reassurance was that she was at least trying.
Now it was his turn to move on from Korriban.
The Roulette game went surprisingly well, Jax telepathically explained the rules to Jairdain and she approached the table handling it like a pro. Jax couldn't help but smile seeing Jairdain winning game after game Jairdain was a natural gambler. Before she could place another bet, Jax pushed her away from the table. The Casinos tend to get suspicious whenever a player was winning a little too much. Jax couldn't count the number of times that he had to investigate missing gamblers only to find their mutilated corpses in a gutter somewhere. "There's a fish place not too far from here." Jax said regards of Jairdain's curiosity of finding a place to eat. "Because they want people gambling, the food around this district is pretty cheap which is great considering the quality of food is tremendous."
The Jedi held his hand against hers. "There's a place called The Fantastic Fish not too far from here," he said. "It'll take your tastebuds to the netherworld."

It seemed they might have both had the same idea about calling an end to the gambling. As she moved to gather up her chips, Jax stopped her from making any further bets. Nodding in agreement when he suggested a place to eat, Jairdain allowed him to guide her to the cashier to get her credits from.

Luckily these people didn't rely on credit within the casino and they paid her out in chits. Placing these in the bag she had for Sage, they stepped out of the casino and into the night again.

Listening to the description of where the taste of the fish would take her, she couldn't help but shiver just a little. Having been to the Netherworld more than once, it wasn't actually a place she wanted to visit again. However, she took the meaning of what he was trying to say and smiled slightly.

Keeping her hand on his arm, unless he pulled away, she let him take the initiative in leading the way.

"I am just a visitor here. I'll trust your judgment. Lead the way, Jax."

Giving him the nudge verbally, her fear was fading but still present. For the moment it had been pushed away and Jairdain was open to what the night held for them. Sage curled up around her neck and closed his eyes as he started to fall asleep.

"What do you suggest I get here? I have only ever had fresh fish that I've caught and cooked on my own."

Sorrow once again threatened to spill over as she mentioned this. This had happened very soon after meeting Yuroic and well before they had married. Had it really been that long since she'd had any fish? Mentally shaking her head she walked along with Jax in subdued silence.

Jax smiled bringing Jairdain closer, she was reminiscing of the past and Jax wanted to make sure that she had a good time. "Well there is Sushi," Jax said. "With raw fish and peppers sprayed on top aw shit it was my favorite food when I ate there. My mouth is already watering!" Jax laughed bringing Jairdain closer to her to where her head was against his chest. "Oh shit!" Jax pulled Jairdain away from him. "Sorry about that Jairdain!" he said feeling his ears redden. "I didn't mean for that to happen! I just got a little excited that's all."
Sighing, Jax held Jairdain's hand gripping it. He definitely didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable, this date was happening not just because they were attracted to each other but it was also so they can move on from their painful experiences. Jax was determined to make Jairdain happy but more importantly he wanted to finally free himself from Korriban. The training he underwent at Gaias combined with his encounter with the Jensaarai helped Jax deal with his turmoil but it didn't get rid of it entirely. Images of what Jax did lingered like a Wolf stalking his prey from the shadows. As soon as they arrived at The Fantastic Fish. Jax saw a crowd gathering around a large round table, a man was perched on the ceiling calling for bets. "That's odd," Jax said to Jairdain. "There's not much gambling in the restaurant besides the slot machines."
The Jedi lead Jax towards the area where they both saw rotund fleshy aliens known as Lartongues with tongues as large as their bodies getting ready to gorge themselves on large plates of fish. "Place your bets folks!" One of the men said. "If you guess correctly then it's an all you can eat buffet for free!"
Jax chuckled staring at Jairdain. "Hot damn!" He said taking a credit chit. "Let's see if I can save us some credits!" Jax tossed in his bet gambling on the blue Lartounge leaned close to her. "A kiss for good luck?" He chuckled.

Since she was almost lost in her memories for a few minutes as they walked, Jairdain hadn't really noticed as he pulled her closer to him. It wasn't until she found her head on his chest and he was apologizing for his actions. While she had actually heard what he was saying, she had not reacted to his words.

He had already pushed her away from him slightly, she leaned again and rested her head on the side of his arm. This caused Sage to move a little and she was sure he put his tail in front of her nose on purpose. Nudging it out of the way, she attempted to send Jax some calming feeling through the Force.

"Relax. You really like the place. And I think you really like me too. We hardly know each other but that's not bad. In time and I have a lot of that, we will get to know all about each other. I promise."

Holding onto his hand as much as he was holding hers, they walked into the restaurant together. Before getting entirely inside, she could hear the sound of a game just getting started. Listening to what it was about, she couldn't help but know Jax was going to place a bet. Hoping to win them a free dinner.

Not stopping him, she gave him a bit of an odd look when he requested a kiss for luck. Unsure if he was joking or serious, she hesitated for a moment. Noticing he was still leaning in close, she stood up on the tips of her toes and lightly kissed his cheek. Probably hoping for something more, this was what she was comfortable with and got back down on her feet quickly.

"For luck."

Taking a breath and letting it out, she watched the contest through the Force.

Even with a light kiss from Jairdain, Jax's entire face began to redden. Despite trying to maintain Jedi discipline, Jax always found himself bashful whenever a woman he dated kissed him. It was embarrassing but the women always found it sweet for some reason. "The Jedi say that there's no such thing as luck," he smirked at Jairdain before turning to the Lartongue table. "But based on my experience, luck can sometimes play a factor in whether a person wins or loses."
He heard a gong and the Lartongues began to waddle around consuming the food in front of them grabbing the fish with the large tongue eating them whole. The crowd began to cheer on the Lartongue they gambled on, Jax cheered on the blue Lartongue as he seemed to faster than the others in this contest. "Come on blue! Let's go! That's the stuff! No wait don't drink that green stuff! That'll burn your mouth!" The Lartongue consumed the glowing green drink immediately screaming in pain frantically flailing his arms out as he ran to the nearest water station to soothe his burning tongue.
"Ah shit," Jax chuckled before grabbing Jaridain's hand bringing her closer to the event. "That drink is called The Dragon's Fury," he whispered as the Blue Lartongue recovered from his unfortunate choice and continued to gorge himself on the fish. "It's made from a plant called Wakasadi a rare herb found in the jungles of Felucia. Many daring merchants traded with the natives in exchange for tech such as blaster rifles so the tribes can get an edge over their rivals for territory. Tried a few times and all of them ended with me screaming my lungs out. It is so hot that your tongue will feel like it was set on fire. Only the strongest species can endure that drink!"
The Blue Lartongue made a fierce comeback consuming every fish in his way before the gong rang and the judge displayed the results on the screen. Jax gripped Jairdain's hand as the judge held the microphone to his face. "By the Force!" he yelled. "The winner is Rocky! The Blue Lartongue! The people who bet on him please enter the line for your free buffet!"
"Frack yes!" Jax gave Jairdain a small hug. "I found lucky charm!" he chuckled at Jairdain placing his hand on her pale cheek. "Time to spoil you rotten angelface."
Holding Jairdain's hand, Jax took her to the butler and smiled. "Table for two please!" he said.

The Master was quite comfortable with who and what she was but there were still times when she wasn't entirely confident. For just a brief moment, that happened after she gave Jax the peck on the cheek. That was why she took the breath and let it out. Calming her nerves, she allowed herself to almost get captivated by the game in front of them.

Cheering their little blue guy along with Jax and the rest of the people, Jairdain listened as he explained what was going on. These creatures didn't appear to have much sentience but that might be why they were used in games like this. No harm was done and that was important to her. Smiled as the game ended, she wasn't too surprised when the winner was called.

"Maybe I do bring a little luck?"

Getting pulled into a light hug, she was hesitant to allow him to touch her cheek. It was only in her mind though and she physically leaned into the touch...even if part of her didn't want it. Her fear came to the surface again and her eyes became a little moist for a moment. Until she was able to blink the tear away.

"I'll have to cook for you sometime. My husband did most of it for the family but I don't do too badly."

Kicking herself mentally, she mentioned Yuroic again and kept bringing him up. While he had been in her life for so long, he was gone now. It was time for her to move beyond but she kept holding herself back. Letting out a bit of a shaky sigh, they were taken to a table for the two of them.

"So what do you suggest I try? I've never had sushi before."

Again her stomach growled at her and she colored just slightly.

"I must be really hungry."

Suddenly she got really warm and ran a hand across her head.

"It's another one of your many talents," Jax winked at Jairdain when she questioned that she did bring luck. "Can I have some of it? I'm gonna need that luck for future missions." Once again Jairdain felt a bit uncomfortable when Jax touched her cheek. Fear crept up on him when he saw that Jairdan's eyes began to slowly fill up with tears. Was she still thinking about her husband? She probably was. "Sorry again Jairdain," Jax said hastily while holding her hand. "I moved a little too fast, I should've known that you would be uncomfortable."
He took Jairdain to a table for two and seated her first, as Jax sat down a Protocol Droid arrived with two glasses of Wine placing them down. "I suggest trying the Pressed Sushi Leaves Layer." he smiled taking a sip of Wine. "It's the best Sushi for beginners like yourself to start off. And I didn't know you can cook. Don't tell my droid that otherwise he'll be nagging for constant meals."
The Jedi chuckled as he began reading the menu. "I can teach you how to read right now," he said. handing her the menu. "We can start with the basics!"
