Public Ozymandias

Darth Vornskr the Second had never been one to settle into her best chair and prepare a fresh monologue when enemies were at her door. Instead, the once Empress tore through the inner halls of the Black Pyramid, pushing past acolytes and zealots. Her frustration summoned a low growl as her jaw clenched hard.

Then she stopped.

Her head shot up in alertness before it turned rapidly. Her honeyed eyes glared down the way she had come, searching for something she had sensed. Had she heard something? Or was it perhaps only a shadow upon her mind?

She sensed her former brother, among other light auras, hot on her tail. Ahead, there was darkness, thick and oppressive. Slower, but still determined, she delved deeper, following the trace of the Sepulcral like the very hound after which she had named herself. While she was not sure what she would be doing when she got there, but a sense of imminent destiny drew her forward.

The sword writhed in her hand, wanting to slash, rend, crush and devour the Jedi. Even now, waves of heat rolled off the black blade, sparking cinders wherever it touched metal.

"You were given poison so your flesh could fight it and grow stronger. You were broken down so you would rebuild yourself stronger than before. And your mental barriers were broken so you could rebuild them stronger than they were before." Onrai said with no spite and a calm voice. "You attempted to steal away precious things from my possession and schemed against me. Why would I not threaten such against them? As for frolicking - I have spent the last few years rebuilding one of the worlds they reduced to ash, establishing a civilization and providing my followers with what it is a god is to provide them in exchange for their fealty. I am tempting you to do nothing. Only telling you that with me - not the Maw, not the diseased warlords and feral barbarians who squabble amongst themselves - the home of your people can be restored to what it is supposed to be."

The Force push caused Onrai to slide back a couple of feet, though she remained firm, Inanna's withered and severed arm still in her hand.

"You seem to not understand what you are being offered." She said, pondering over the understanding of Shi'ido physiology she had acquired through the procedure performed on Darth Mori that had finally given her what she had needed to ascend to a primordial nature. "Perhaps this will explain." With a focus of her power, Onrai firmly squeezed the free hand not holding the severed arm, her focus upon the one organ that was Inanna's heart. If she was able to coax it into arrhythmia somehow, the conflict would be ended in short order.

The Sovereign Elite Battlecruisers still had individual overwhelming fire over the Conservators, and soon rallied together around the Heresiarch, the lead ship of the quartet. Joining them were the pair of Legacy-class heavy cruisers, the Guardian assault monitors, whose super-heavy turrets fired upon them at range, and a smattering of the modified Massassi corvettes.

The Silencer dreadnoughts, formed from aging Harrower IIIs, moved to try and take pressure off of the Carracks at the hands of the destroyers, joined by the entirety of Crimson Command. The remaining vessels continued to press onward, with the Saturns seeking to gang up on the command ships now that the advance of the Mercury-led flotilla had been distorted. Lances of beam fire struck at the Silver City and Celestial City, seeking to eliminate the expanded power of the supercarriers' disgorging of shuttles and starfighters.

Aboard the docks, Darktroopers began to first meet the invading marines as they sought to secure portions of the station, even as damage was further caused to the docks. The shielded droid troopers opened fire with rotary blaster cannons in hall-sweeping maneuvers, effectively spraying copious quantities of blaster fire and suppressing or killing enemy troop movement in their regions of the station. All to keep attention away from the real prize.

The cyborg darktroopers were able to find one of the docking bay command consoles. The commander of the small unit inserted a datachip into the console, which contained a worm that would travel to the station's computer core and provide them with the access codes needed to remotely activate the remaining Imperial ships that were stuck in mothballs. Now they only had to wait. A signal was transmitted to the Ablution to signify their point of progress, and to provide the ship with a remote link to the station's computer network in the event they were to become casualties of war.

Darkness. So much darkness.

Kahlil's run doubled as he ripped open the door into this tomb like temple. He didn't pause for a moment, using the massive slab as a weapon to batter away the temple guard. A ritual was happening, he could feel that much through the haze of darkness. There was something at the core of it. A ritual? Something the Master's needed to stop, that much he could tell.

Pausing for nothing he ran through the halls, his green blade lighting the blackened walls. Guards, acolytes, cultists. He weaved through them all like a blur, focused only on reaching the main chamber before it was too late. The final doors came into sight.

And so too did a large shadow.

His mad dash came to a pause as he took one last step forward. Stopped mere feet away from the taller Zambrano. And smiled.

"Hello sister. Have you met my wife?"

I attempted to escape your clutches, you mean,” Inanna replied. “I didn’t steal anything from you, unless you consider me your property, you disgusting freak.

She hadn’t even noticed the severed arm Onrai was clutching like a serial killer clinging to a totem made from their victim’s flesh. Her body had long since regenerated the lost limb. It was meaningless to her.

Her heart, on the other hand, was a rather important organ. The moment she felt it being tampered with, she knew it was Onrai, and she did not tolerate it. While she resisted the attack, she called out to two of her companions.

Zurvan! Ornella!

The two Cytherai, Shi’ido psychic warriors, descended upon Onrai’s mind while she was distracted, seeking to tear it open and empty it of knowledge. If nothing else, their joint offensive gave Inanna a chance to recover from Onrai’s brazen attempt to stop her heart.

I’m not your apprentice, your slave, or your partner in conquest. Give it up, Onrai, or die!

Her whip of yellow plasma lashed out at Onrai, aiming to lasso around her neck and yank her to the ground.

"I sense familiar presences."

It had been a long time ago since she met Darth Empyrean Darth Empyrean for the first time, but she wasn't one to forget these things. Her Shadow-trained mind was like a directory of Sith, Dark Jedi, and other corrupted problems she still needed to take care of, and today it seemed like there was an opportunity to make quite a lot of progress.

But for now, she kept that in the back of her mind and followed her husband closely. He was leading the way, breaking down doors, and taking out guards while she focused more on her senses. Something terrible was happening here, and she felt confident that the two of them could fight to stop it all. This is what they ultimately trained for as Jedi, and together, they were at their best to make it work.

It was only when a large shadow approached that they finally stopped, and her eyes fell on a woman she had never met before, but still recognized instantly.

"Sorry we didn't visit with Life Day, but better late than never, hm?" Valery said as she looked from her husband to his sister. The violet blade of her lightsaber was drawn defensively in front of her, ready to be used in the inevitable clash that was going to follow. This was the woman who had once taken her husband's arms and played a part in all the struggling they had gone through to finally be able to be together and feel somewhat safe.

Yet, there was no anger, no desire for revenge — just a sense of duty.

Maliphant had gone from kneeling to deep meditation - floating a few feet from the dusty surface of the temples floor. The Sepulchral chanted and channeled their dark magics while the Worm looked upon them. The nearing presence of the Jedi became taxing of the sanctity of the Ritual - so the Emperor spoke with a terrifying resolve.

"Praetorians. End the Jedi. May this ritual never be disturbed."

The Praetorian duo moved with a clinical efficiency. Exiting the ritual grounds, to the elevator, and out towards the collection of others. They stopped where the Zambranos gathered, stares hard and imposing. Igniting their sabers, they waited for the first of them to move.

"F**k the Worm"

-Ophidia muttered to herself as she slipped through the shadows. Light and matter bent to her will as she pushed to the entry point of the Pyramid. In her casual stride, she reached inside her sleeve and set a new shikkar blade in the vambrace on her left hand, then awakened the sleeping serpent that coiled around her waist. While she did not have her armour or her tools of war, the Pale Assassin was not caught unarmed or unprepared. If there were to be evacuations, then the Jedi had to be pushed back and away from the Pyramid.

If there was to be any salvage, then they would need to stop the tide.

Finally, she unclipped one of the sabres from her side, but rather than activate it, she hid the curved hilt inside her palm as she neared the entrance. She considered the many things she could meet out there, from old foes to new reports of rising Jedi.

Wham!

She saw him land and rise, blue sabre in hand.

Her face twisted in disgust as she stopped just within the shadowy interior of the pyramid.

"You enter the valley of Death, Wyatt Morga."

Objective: 1

The first signs came, the ship departed and with it the silent scales of the nightmare child. Moving across the expanse as it contorted and twisted. Jaws closed until the last possible moment. She was making her way towards the fighting.. the largest group. THie new dark council, this new emperor... they were beneficial in the long run as much as they could be a problem. The jedi though were much the same and if she could help it well might be able to take a few down. The sith sorceress hersself wasn't going to be going after a lot. If this was the last bastion there was also the opportunity this presented to preserve knowledge and use it to an advantage... like feeding all of the death, destruction and chaos into something far more devastating. The first step was to move around after she landed and see about it... pruning the other Zambrano's might also be a given as she remembered a time when it was just Kaine and she took the name as a symbol of honor after being exiled from her clan.

In through the open doors came a titan casting its great shadow over the immense library.

A huge, billowing darkened fur cape draped down from the giants immense pauldrons. The plate was dark as pitch interwoven with unique designs of intricate gold. Large bulbous orbs blazing a molten orange displaying terrifying eyes and holding precious, powerful souls within to be utilized at a whim. Dark side enchantments were woven in runic script over each piece ready to unleash while the suit passively drained in the energy around the area, a flowing wellspring for the immense figure to tap into. The Dark Lord of the Sith swept past the kneeling supplicants waiting beside the doors they dared not cast their unworthy gazes upon him as he moved.
But the Dark Lord didn't move alone.
A cadre of black robed Shikkari moved silently through their bodies hidden beneath the folds of their cloaks, they swiftly began to disappear like roaming shadows passing beyond their lord. They had their missions on the upper levels of the library to swiftly and efficiently kill everything that moved. In a slower procession staying closer to their lord were a set clad in robes and armored mantles, attached with a variety of cybernetic and mechanical apparatus were a specialized group of Artificers designed to utilize the dark side of mechu'deru to manipulate, dominate, and modify all forms of technology. Their innovations allowed the design of dark, technophage viruses and the manipulation of systems through the superiority of the sith. They would use this debut as their opportunity to shine against the formidable firewalls erected by followers of the Worm Emperor.
The giant strode through the library passing the carnage of the butchered defenders, he raised up his gauntlet and pushed on the communicator button and spoke. "I have made entry nephew and my forces are on the move through the upper levels of the stronghold. I'll be escorting the special units directly to you. They will help get us what we need."

--------------------------------------------

There was little time to waste, all that they could do was try and fight off the enemy as best they could and evacuate as many people as possible. Whether that would be the actual priority of Odavessa's defensive strategy was doubtful but one could hope. Or in their case, try and convince the leader of the defense otherwise. It mattered little at the moment, their main focus had to be getting to the Pyramid and theoretically as safe as possible from the battle raging on around them.

Already the airspace over the city was being filled with enemy ships and landing craft, the anti-air defenses struggling to keep up with the incoming waves of ships from orbit. Fighters and other vessels were destroyed before they even got off the ground, the defenders of Odavessa still arming and rushing to try and halt the enemy from landing.

He had a sinking feeling that it was too late for that.

The masked Sith didn't know who had caught up with them and asked them about the situation, but he wasn't stopping to find out. "We're under attack! Find someone to kill and somewhere to defend!" In his defense, he did answer the question Anthysius Soraysom-Calimondra Anthysius Soraysom-Calimondra asked to the best of his ability. Were it not for him rushing to find his master and force the Lords into action then he might have stopped to converse more, but there were already ships flying close to the Pyramid and he didn't want to risk it.

Besides, he could sense that his master was near. And worryingly enough, she wasn't alone.

Objective 1

Personally he thought this was a bit over the top.

Not that he stood against the effort and the idea, for all their victim complex moaning of being persecuted by the Jedi throughout the years, the Sith were very much an active threat to stability and standard conventions of morality. Hubris was their trade, lives meant nothing to them, simply a currency to be spent, each and every one of them seeing power as their right and were arrogant enough to believe that the universe existed to serve their whims. But a mission of utmost extermination like this did feel somewhat sour in his mouth. Even if he knew that letting a wound fester would simply cause the rest of the organism to sicken.

Aaran would admit that the Jedi were hardly squeaky clean, they had failings, bouts of hubris, and controversial decisions. But he always found the mental gymnastics of those that thought the two sects to be just as bad as each other quite impressive.

But now was hardly the time to wonder over such things. Now was the time to deal a crippling blow to the recovering Sith assembled here and hopefully by the Galaxy a few more years of peace before they came crawling back out with their cries of vengeance for the Jedi;s audacity of being offended at their blood rituals and mass slaughter of the innocent.

Saber ignited, he delved deeper and deeper into the complex, not so much following anything resembling a plan or cohesion with a greater team. He was never one for group tactics when he fought with the Alliance, preferring to simply let the Force guide him as he did his own thing, and sought out his own objectives.

Which was exactly what the former Warden of Peace was doing right now, not caring much for tactics or a grander plan, in a situation like this, surrounded by Sith, plans were mostly useless anyway. All there was to do was to trust in the Force and see where it brought him.

370d9lz.png

Was running for the Pyramid really the best use of their time? Alina bit her tongue on the question. Well, they were running. Too fast to just start a conversation. Without the Force she had to actually pay attention to where she was stepping less she end up tripping on her face midsprint. Her gaze shifted to Anthysius Soraysom-Calimondra Anthysius Soraysom-Calimondra , simply nodding in agreement with Alisteri.

There were fights everywhere. And yet-

When the pair finally reached the temple Alina reached out. Stopped Alisteri from running any further with a tug on his wrist. She could see them. The pale woman she didn't recognize as anything more than a Sith. But the man before her.

"Ali, that's Wyatt Morga. I- We should go around, right?" Despite her question, she was grinning. A wide, adrenaline fueled sort of grin. It didn't take a profiler to realize she wanted to fight. She gripped her sword, pulling the whole thing from her back. Pulling the scabbard off to toss to the side. She didn't wait for an answer. She sprang forward, lighting the edge of her heavy blade as she swung across for the Jedi Master. Trying to use her speed and strength to catch him off guard while the other Sith spoke to him.

That'd totally work, right?

The disharmonious notes of blaster fire and sonic weapon discharges filled the interior as the Kainate troopers stormed inside, cutting down the Legionnaires of the Worm Emperor. The jet black armors of the enemy soldiers were distinct from the crimson suits worn by the strand-cast warriors of the Kainate, a clear demarcation between the soldiers who served at the will of opposing, yet sometimes collegial Sith Lords. Concealed by her armor’s integrated cloaking device, UX-0626 advanced on the flanks of the hostile Legionnaires’, before raising her sonic rifle to eye level, setting her crosshairs on an officer’s skull, and squeezing the trigger. Less than a split-second later, a nigh-invisible bolt of compressed air struck the officer’s head, causing it to go off in an explosion of crimson and duraplast with a violent crack! Three more Legionnaires were struck down in a similarly visceral, explosive manner, felled one after the other in a rapid-fire sequence of three shots that punched bleeding, melon-sized holes into chest plates and rendered skulls as naught but paste and shattered plating, while the remaining were swiftly cut down by the other strand-casts.

“Sector clear!” UX-0626 called out to her cadre in harsh, guttural ghoul-speak. Then, shifting her attention back to the Dark Lord, her features went frozen as He addressed her directly, more so when He crouched down to stare directly in her eyes, causing the strand-cast to feel as if she were naked beneath His withering gaze, even with her features concealed by the crimson mask of her helmet.

“It will be done, your Darkness.” The Hapan answered swiftly and without question. When she was younger, receiving such personal attention being of her reverence would have threatened to shatter her poise, there and then. Her willpower and faith had only grown since then, the fall of the Empire having molded her into a warrior of greater fanaticism than any conditioning could impose.

Immediately, the strand-cast took her cadre—a team of three snipers—and organized them along the second floor in sniping positions. As she did, an image of the Jedi Jax Thio Jax Thio was projected onto her HUD. She intended would allow him through without resistance or even revealing her presence, trusting that the Dark Father would not deny her the opportunity to slay the Jedi, should he no longer fit into His plans..

Comms were a complete mess; Jedi killsquads were being reported throughout the city, targeting the Lords and Ladies of the Sith. The Praetorians had confirmed Maliphant was safe, but the battle was ongoing. That was all Venn knew. Meanwhile, splintered groups of Alliance and Crusade marines carved through the city streets, executing practitioners and gunning down anyone who stood against them.

The situation was rapidly deteriorating. Venn's enhanced senses screamed of danger everywhere, nearly distracting him from the combatant before him; a warrior garbed in blue and gold, wielding a bright sword and assaulting the apprentice's mind.

Wincing at the latest psychic attack, Venn narrowly avoided the flashing sword, and released a blast of fire from his palms. With unnatural reflexes the man dodged, his shape twisting to contort away from the attack. A skinchanger? The Sith apprentice was breathing heavily; even using the Decoction Terentakus, he was just barely fast enough to keep up.

It's not always about speed, Venn.

At his master's voice the young man gritted his teeth. A message in the Force? A memory? He poured his desperation and fear into the ring on his finger. Dark flames arced through the air, ethereal and pulsing, as the Alchemist's Eye amplified his voice in the Force. {"SUFFER ME NOW!"}

The pale swordsman dropped to one knee at the psychic overload, and in the moment of hesitation, Venn's hands reached out. "Emberfly."

Small motes of fire flew from his fingertips to strike the man in his helmet, before detonating like a cloud of explosive rounds. As his foe fell before him, Venn clicked on his wristcom. ["Eslo, have the Qatilovçu release Maalraas packs to aid in rudimentary search and rescue. Don't linger; with these butchers in the streets, we won't be able to save every-"]

An enormous insectoid turned the corner to find Venn, and promptly tried to bite his head off. He sighed tiredly, his enhanced reflexes narrowly saving him. Where were they even coming from?

There was an alien roar like a thousand injured mynocks, and death swooped out of the sky on leathery wings. Bigger even than the bug, the Drexl plunged its barbed tail through the attacker's chest, and began savaging it. Venn caught his breath a moment, before returning to his comlink. "Thanks, Narroth! [Bor, status update?"]

["I'm on the roof of Mycosia Tower. A small team of marines has deployed about 100 yards down the street, alongside Force Users. The Crusade. They cut through some acolytes and a squad of the city guard. Looks like at least one master, golden saber, a handful of knights, and some kind of holy woman...]

His voice trailed off. Several seconds of silence ticked by. Something was wrong. ["Bor, what do you see? Talk to me."]
Heavy breathing. Then... ["She's... performing last rites on our dead."]

370d9lz.png
Shaking with rage, he watched her close the fallen acolyte's still eyes. Watched her stand, the words of a prayer still on her lips. Her eyes so pitying, so sanctimonious. Perched on the tower's rooftop, Bor forced himself to steady his hands, and the scope of his rifle. His master's voice over the comlink was full of restrained panic. ["Control yourself. The Force Adepts will sense your bloodlust. Heresy will not go unanswered, but you cannot win alone-"]
["I watched them. They killed them all, and I just watched. Killed in the name of their Tyrant God. Corpses defiled with their prayers."]
["Bor!"]

The young soldier switched off his comlink. Aligned her blasphemous head with the blinking cross in his rifle scope. The murmur came quiet and low under his breath. "Peace is a lie."

He squeezed the trigger.

“Battery Delta One, initiating reload sequences!” KV-6000 called out. All the while, her enhanced mind swiftly processed the damage reports of her shots on the “Mercury” class Artillery Cruiser. Direct hits to what the AI projected to be the middle decks. While estimating damage on an enemy warship was an inexact science at best, there was a good chance that she had succeeded in neutralizing some of her target’s firepower. How much? Even the AI could not make a confident assessment at the current stage. It could just be limited to some point-defense weapons or if she was lucky, potentially the main batteries. Regardless, the strand-cast did not intend to let it fall to luck or a simple guess. She needed to be sure, and in a chaotic battlespace with multiple fleets exchanging fire at close and long ranges, the best way to be sure was an explosion or a listing.

In the meantime, the gunner did not remain idle as the mass driver reloaded. She assumed direct control of the five point-defense cannons which were integrated into the battery, instead of leaving it to the auto-tracking fire control systems. The weapons were designed to protect the battery from strafing runs and attacks by hostile small craft. As the “Starfury” Starfighters moved to engage, those that chose to approach the belly or the sides of the Decline would find themselves beset by blistering salvos of point-defense fire, the cannons controlled by a gunner with enhanced, superluminal reflexes, setting first priority to those that were closest, before firing on any others.

Before long, KV-6000 felt a satisfying clunk through her neural connection, indicating that the mass driver was primed to fire. With a mental command, the battery shifted on its base, rotation gears churning until they came to a measured halt, pointing towards the artillery cruiser. Then, the strand-cast willed the gun to fire. With a reverberating thump that echoed into her neural connection, the mass driver unleashed a 900mm detonite core shell into the void, followed by another as soon as the vibrations from the first shot dissipated, aimed for the port and starboard nacelles respectively, with the objective of achieving a mobility kill!

  • KV-6000 takes direct control of the five point-defense cannons on the PGEM/FMDC, utilizing them to target the Starfury Starfighters, prioritizing them from closest to furthest.
  • KV-6000 fires two detonite core rounds from the PGEM/FMDC, one from each barrel of the turret and targeting the port and starboard side nacelles of the Mercury, respectively, with the objective of achieving a mobility kill.
  • Damage on The Decline to be called by Errix Feh’room’s writer in a subsequent post.

The swirl of emotions that centered around battle was a miasma of chaos and near constant agony. Pain of the dying. Pain of the living. The constant and cyclical cycle of hatred and loathing poured out by one foe unto another and the same in return. Her mind had slipped back into her old memories as preparation for wading through the thick fog of self righteous justice and equally thick fog of persistent ire to merely exist. To exert ones will upon the galaxy as they saw fit.

She was not angry with either party in this regard. Death was as natural as the seasons that passed. The nature of a plant to take hold, to sprout and grow, to reach skyward for reasons that perhaps it understood but could not fathom. Or for little else than to see its existence bear fruit and blossom before the endless wheel brought upon it the wither of time as it let loose the once beauteous petals that some being might have glimpsed in their passing.

The blossom that might have never been seen but existed in its own right.

As all things deserved in some measure she had supposed. Memories of a dark room, and pain that she recalled with a clarity she had never spoken of to anyone besides the deacon that kept her.

That clarity granting her the chance to feel the intent. To understand the rage that drove that grievous hatred. The sounds round her settled to a low murmur as her world focused to a narrow point. A fixation on the feeling of intense loathing directed at her specifically. Where it for another purpose she might have bothered with a smile.

It was easy enough to hunt the truly devout Sith in the face of her prayers for the dead.

Her eyes rose slowly, the distance dulling the sound of the trigger pull as her senses sharpened to that figure upon the rooftop. Her face becoming a glassy facade of neutrality for the task at hand. By the time her eyes found the source, the shot was in the air and the coiling energy was aimed for her face. Blurring the figure behind it as she lunged forward into a running stance.

Pain and temperance had been the instructors for her specific style of fighting. Not that her oath as a medic mattered in the end. That wasn't what drove her to be the merciful fighter she was. She felt the ghostly hand of a memory whipping her back. The sensation of pain not yet forgotten as the bolt sizzles through the coif she wore.

The force swirled around her in that moment, pooling power into her legs as the point of contact narrowing to the slim sliver of toe that touched the ground. Propelling her forward and into the vortex of wind that whipped up around her. A prayer passing her lips in rhythm with footfalls to keep her breathing steady as she allowed the overwhelming presence of the force energies to build in her.

Then focused into path before her.

"I am but the method for which these souls are bound to meet your light." She exhaled as the vortex angled upward, water molecules freezing in a path before her that hung in the gale of wind.

Further solidifying her foot holds as she spun in flight. Throwing her momentum this way and that to make her already blurred figure more difficult to target.

Maneuvers that had been so burned into the blank and exacting mindset she had driven herself into they came almost automatically. The gentle step of her toes against the small blade of frozen water shattering beneath her step as she leapt up and sideways.

The weapon that her father aimed to create being brought into Ashla's service once more. The tender peace of her gardens the farthest thought against the blank and purpose driven mind she held herself centered in.

"I am but a lowly vessel sent out to bring before you the souls of the tormented and deceived." Her next step rocketing her across the sky in another long blur across the face of the building as the final step found her launching skyward.

"I send these misguided souls before your feet and beg your mercy upon their sins. For they know not their folly." The vortex lifting her upwards as she clapped the two Concussion Batons together while passing the lip of the roof.

An attempt to further startle the one that had taken the shot at her as a concussive shockwave emitted from them and was aimed in Bor's direction. The move slowed her assent, her first step reaching the lip as the toe of her lead foot froze to the edge while she pulled herself upward towards her target.

The Decline slowly ebbed forward and away from the rear of the enemy formation, the engines not yet disengaged as the Starfury's tangled with their own Droid starfighters. Engaging in little more than delaying maneuvers, the droids pulling their flight trajectories across the automatic point defense turrets vectors of fire.

While it wasn't as readily able to defend against starfighters, it was putting what it could into fending them off while it was still able. Deflector shield generators came to life across the turreted weapons aboard the ship. The turret bases providing the auxiliary Shielding from their own generators as more main power was diverted to the hull shielding.

The enhanced servos and cross tracking built into the independent systems were further aided in processing and coordination by the artificial intelligence that supervised the fire control system. The streams of fire highly accurate for being automated. Though human creativity was the only thing the predictive software was struggling with given the vessels maiden voyage.

The Spray Cannons were supplementing the nimble point defense cannons that sat atop all of the weapon turrets aboard the ship. The spray cannons triad of laser fire filling the area around the ship with defensive fire against starship and ordinance alike.

The scene outside his viewport was a hectic one.

"We are taking fire from satellite drones. While ineffectual for the time being. I would advise distance from the weapons." Molder informed him, materializing after coordinating with the gunner who was earning more than a little appreciation from the AI for her effectiveness.

Status reports and target identification flew across the bridge as Molder spoke. His slow inhale centering himself among the words that filtered across the deck. He didn't need to breath, but the physical movement was something familiar and helped him maintain focus.

"Why the suggestion?" Errix gave the shimmering hologram the side eye as he stepped closer to the sensor displays detailing the battlefield around them. Fire from within the enemy formation suggesting some other allied vessels had broken free of their holds and were making their stand.

"The largest concentration of the incoming ordinance seems drawn to the armored plating of the hull and altering in flight trajectory, suggesting magnetic rounds." Molder informed him, the look he wore now of concentration. KV-6000 gave a status report as the vessel finally stilled from the trembling of the main batteries salvo.

His mind focused once more on the task at hand.

"Coordinate select turrets to focus on the satellites as well as the generators. One ion, the rest spectrum. The remainder are to concentrate fire to assist Battery Delta One on that Mercury Class." Came the downward trickle of commands. His arms crossed, one hand rising to his mouth as he chewed on the tip of his thumb. The battle wouldn't be entirely decided by any one persons actions here. But to at least give some of those fleeing a fighting chance at escape was all he was truly required to do.

The Pseudointerdictor system had fully spun up, projecting false gravity well readings around the Decline's location and to the rear of the enemy fleet. While he wasn't sure what good it would do with the enemy already present, further surprises were something he wished to avoid.

The majority of the SIPC Turrets along with the STl Turrets began to focus their fire upon the same vessel as KV-6000. The downpour of fire attempting to wither the vessel into a retreat.

The Tractor Guidance operators shifted their plotted trajectories to slingshot more of the energy bomblets in steady rhythm towards the satellite drones.

The SlC Turrets and one SIPC Turrets began to target the satellite drones as well. A withering storm of spectrum laser fire following the first shot of ionized plasma as they focused on each satellite in singular fashion.

"Sustain our course, keep the enemy within range. We need them to back off of the docks." Errix hissed, his eyes affixed to the display of falling vessels.

Issan withdrew her blade from the corpse of yet another Concord marine, adjusting the Sith-Imperial marine helmet she now donned on her head. Despite the defensive fire of the Cruiser that shot down several gunships and transports attempting to board the station, a group of Concord soldiers had landed and attempted to storm the Dour Predator, assuming little resistance from the skeleton crew, but were instead greeted by a fully-fledged Sith. Only a few wielded maser weaponry and most were quickly dispatched with the judicious application of telekinetic force. As Issan led the Sith-Imperial marines on the ship on a flanking manoeuvre around the corridors occupied by the Concord soldiers, she realised they were willingly moving deeper into the Heavy Cruiser even though more of their shuttles were docking on the station, which should theoretically encourage them to fall back to be supported by the growing number of friendly forces.

"Heavy weaponry!" called one of the Sith-Imperial marines. Issan and her contingent dodged out of the way into connecting passageways as the Concord marines down the corridor opened fire with a portable assault cannon, the Marauder herself throwing herself to a leftward connecting passageway. She felt a tug in the Force, and sensed imminent danger.

"Scatter!" She called out, just before she heard the telltale clicks and beeps of detonators rolling down the hall. The marines, trained for such procedures, further scattered down their respective corridors. When the detonators rolled into view and exploded, none of them were injured due to Issan's preemptive warning.

The assault cannon had stopped firing, and Issan saw from her wrist-mounted display (connected to the ship's security systems) that the Concord marines were moving down their passageway to her left.

"Continue pursuit," she ordered. The Sith marines broke from cover and tailed the Concord marines, firing whenever they achieved line of sight.

"My lady, this is the bridge! We have important updates!" her comms crackled.

"I know who this is. Report."

"We are getting priority hails from the station. The enemy is making their way to the armories and C&C of the station!"

Issan cursed. The enemy was definitely going to seize and destroy the station. She might have enough soldiers to halt that effort... but that would abandon this ship to be scuttled by the enemy. If she abandoned the station entirely now, she might have time to evacuate more crew from the station.

"My lady, boarders are getting close to the engine blocks," the marine captain at her side informed her as they continued the chase.

She had to make a choice. And now.

We're under attack! Find someone to kill and somewhere to defend!
Anthysius had half a mind to say something smart in retort, but he was much too busy trying to take stock of the full-scale invasion that was happening all across the planet. He was almost about to clarify his query when Alina, spotting a Jedi she evidently knew, stopped, then changed the direction of her sprint, weapon flashing out from her back.
Saber ignited, he delved deeper and deeper into the complex, not so much following anything resembling a plan or cohesion with a greater team.
"Master," Argus pointed. Anthysius saw a Jedi on the other side of the open pavillion, lightsaber in hand, somehow slip past the impromptu frontline of duels and into the Pyramid complex itself.

If Korriban was any indication, they can handle themselves, Anthysius told himself about Darth Strosius Darth Strosius and Alina Tremiru Alina Tremiru . Without another word, he and Argus split from the group and gave chase to the Jedi. Two on one was more than favourable odds, and Anthysius had a hankering for blood.

They followed the Jedi into the side entrance, its doors blown open, and reached within thirty metres. Anthysius nodded at Argus, and reached out with the Force, aiming to hold and crush the Jedi. Rearing back, Argus ignited his lightsaber and threw his blade at the helted Jedi, its path guided by the Force, whirring through the air in an angry crimson flash.

Objective 1

He was wondering how long it was going to take to run into some actual resistance, sure with all the chaos going on, it was relatively easy to slip past most of it and head deeper into the complex. Like small children, most Sith are easily distracted by loud noises and flashy lights, making them fairly easy to misdirect provided one had a base amount of cunning.

Seems that one had finally noticed him, he could feel the Force being twisted and compressed around him, his own reflexes kicking in as his Will contested that of his assailant, dulling what would have been a shattered ribcage, to a merely uncomfortable grip around his midsection, preventing him from moving forward. His pace stalling as a grunt escaped him, he could break this, force his Will against the one who was holding them, but he would rather be patient, see what their next step was, gloating or action?

Oh, no, the big one just threw their saber at him, seems banter was off the menu and they were just going right for his head. Well, it only made sense, the Sith were on the backfoot here. The banter only ever really came when they were feeling smug, not when they were the ones under attack.

As the saber spun through the air, he considered his options. His talisman was securely fastened under his robes and operating fine, he could just stand there, let the saber bounce off and deal with some minor burns and bruises later in order to capitalise on his attacker's surprise. But such a brazen tactic would show his hand too early.

He could simply force this binding off him and dodge, but he'd rather conserve as much energy as possible for any upcoming battles.

So that left him with another plan, something audacious and potentially stupid, but his instincts were rarely wrong and his gut told him to pull something reckless that can conserve energy.

He waited until the last possible moment, the grip around him was strong as Iron. But there were ways around such potent barriers. As the saber drew ever closer, the Jedi let out a slow exhale, his mind focusing, before lashing out with his intent, his own power like a thin stream of highly pressurised water, piercing through the bindings and allowing his arm to lash out with impossible alacrity, catching the spinning saber by the hilt when it was a hair's breadth from giving him a rather painful shave.

The rest of his body followed suit, twisting out of the supernatural grip, spinning to face his aggressors, two sabers now in hand, one crimson, the other gold, a fierce grin splitting his face as he stared them down. While his eyes were covered by thick wrappings, the confident way he held his stance told the two Sith that their opponent was perfectly aware of his surroundings.

"I'll give an A for effort." He called out, giving a brief bow. "But cheap shots are tricky when your opponent expects you to fight dirty." His head tilted ever so slightly to the side.

"Don't suppose you'll forget you saw me." He queried. "I'll give your saber back if you promise to look away." He even wiggled the stolen blade in a mocking gesture, daring his opponents to try something else.

TEAM DARKSIDE

Each Sovereign Elite Battlecruiser could easily outgun probably 2 “Conservators” in a head to head fight. That is why the Helmsman and Navigators were doing their best to make the enemy gunners chase them and hopefully miss, hitting their own compatriots. The Silver ships were not out of the fight or entirely outclassed there. Their own hypervelocity, and MassDriver cannons keep their targeting randomly to keep the ships guessing as well as setting up their own backup.

Scott, keep on the Broodica-class Star Destroyer but I want those “Sovereigns” targeted as well, mainly those heavy weapons. that just went active.

[“I’ll pull some X-wings off as well.”]

I like the way you think.

Pulling off the comm system, he ordered his “Conservator” Class heavy cruisers to move in and utilize that very “advantage” to their fullest on the opposing Sovereign Elite-class Battlecruiser Maybe this will not be as successful as one would hope, but they could hold the much larger vessels’ attention.

The fighters were the real warriors here. From one direction came the Sovereignty Heavy Fighters, from the other came the N-1000 X-wings, all en masse until the last moment. Once the attention was drawn, they would split and attack different targets of each ship, but all in their own distinct patterns. Make no mistake, they suffered losses, but the Ashera Fighters were stepping up to help make sure that any losses came at the hands of capital ships and not Sith Empire fighters, those were being kept away.

There were Carrack Cruisers in this fleet. Carracks were traditionally anti-fighter and that would not do. So that was his next focus and that meant that the “Apollo” class cruisers were still targeting them and keeping their firespray style of attacks away from the fighters. This was also going to hopefully push those ships (which traditionally were not strong head to head) into the long range fire of the “Mercury” class destroyer.

This may not be effective against the Carracks, but the Silencer Dreadnaughts were the ships that the Mercury was targeting. The strength of Angellus’ fleet was in the fighters and it needed to stay that way. That meant that these ships needed the focus of the ships he trusted in a fight. The beam weaponry of those ships were barely missing the targets that were the “Celestial City” as well as the “Silver City”, that tore it.

Nobody has seemed to pick up our Stealths… let’s make them regret. Target those dreadnaughts and focus all fire on them.

The Decline and her complement of Droid fighters had their chance, but now things were going for naught. “The Silver City” was damaged, but she made more than enough short range weapons to work alongside the auto turrets to give this enemy vessel a very bad day. The automated cannons on their own were not the most dangerous weapons but intersecting fields of fire combined minimized the Maw ships chances of coming out clean. She took more hits, but the shields were starting to hold. If the Maw wanted to create false gravity well readings, or even real ones, go ahead. If they want to run, go ahead. The targets were in sight.

The Starfury pilots were an interesting lot. They were not really that concerned about getting into the middle of “the soup”, they had plenty to do defending the ships when deployed. These pilots were by no means compensating for any shortcomings, they had a unique ability of making an attack run and then angling their “reverse” engines to position their guns multiple times over. The purpose was to keep the fighters weapons on a specific target as long as they could keep an LOS (Line Of Sight). The gunners were becoming too successful with their shots on The Mercury class artillery.

Pull the “Ezekiels” off of their assignments and back to cover the 4th and our aft for the moment, get those womprats off the “Mercury.”

Colonel Telaskta was not happy with the numbers she was losing, but that was the nature of a mission like this. Luckily they were able to continue with their maneuvers due to the sheer number of troops hitting the stations and docks themselves. The Darksider who was leading her assault had done well, but there was only so much that she could do. Soon the teams of “jarheads” and “Devil Dogs” were able to reach several Command and Control stations and began releasing ships setting them adrift.

Yes, many of them were being held back by DarkTroopers, but those that were had been able to get outward toward the accessways with viewports. This was so that the Marines could call in fire support from Cherub gunships who were all too happy to open fire and blast holes in those transparisteel hallways and let “explosive decompression” take care of the rest. The Marines were in vacuum sealed powered armor, they would be fine.

  1. “Conservator” Class Heavy Cruisers continue battling Sovereign Elite-class Battlecruisers utilizing tactics like “Ackbar Slash” and “Slingshots” to maneuver into and around to better firing positions.
  2. “Celestial City” “Silver City” and “Ethereal” Deploying auto-turrets and engaging “The Red Dragon” of Tithon Antilles Tithon Antilles directly with long guns
  3. “Avalon” Class Destroyers are keeping a firing solution on enemy Resolute Supercarriers, but engaging enemy Thanaton-class Corvettes
  4. “Apollo” Class Destroyers are now focusing their attention on the Carrack II-class Frigate
  5. “Mercury” cruiser engages Silencer Dreadnaughts..
  6. “Ezekiel” class patrol ships break off engagement of the Flotilla and move in to attack “The Decline”
  7. The Decline is now being engaged directly by auto-turrets and Starfurys as well as short range cannons of “The Silver City”.
  8. “Revelry” Class cruisers using “Anti-Starfighter” capabilities to engage enemy fighters alongside “ArchAngel” Interceptors.
  9. Stealth fighters attacking Silencer Dreadnaughts.
  10. Archangel Interceptors engage enemy interceptors directly, working along with “Revelry” Class Cruisers.
  11. Ashera Fighters engaging enemy fighters, clearing paths and drawing fire away from X-wings, Heavies and Bombers
  12. X-wings are retasking, attacking the Sovereign Elite cruisers, the other half attacking surface guns on “The Red Dragon”
  13. Heavies pull off attacking Broodica-class Star Destroyers and are turning their patterns to assisting the Conservator Cruisers in attacking the Shield generators as the Superheavy beam and heavy cannons on the Sovereign Elite cruisers.
  14. Bombers attacking Red Dragon
  15. Starfurys in Defensive Screen targeting The Decline’s fighter screen
  16. All auto-turrets deployed, “Point-Defense” and “Incoming” and targeting The Decline..
  17. SCAR Teams are attacking, and “ZERO G” Boarding and breaching Baras-class Star Destroyers and Eradicator-class Heavy Cruisers
  18. Marines have reached various C&C points and are releasing docking clamps on ships prematurely
