Strengths:

• The Eightgun is, as its name implies, a fighter with eight guns. This provides it with an immense amount of firepower, capable of shredding even super-heavy bombers with little effort.
• In contrast to most Sith fighters, the Eightgun fits a hyperdrive, allowing squadrons to operate with reasonable independence from their ships.

Weaknesses:

• The Eightgun, being an assault fighter, significantly lacks in maneuverability. While this isn't an issue when dealing with bombers and other heavy fighters, it leaves the Eightgun extremely vulnerable to dogfights against more maneuverable craft.
• The Eightgun lacks in ordnance, carrying at its max four missiles. This gives it minimal capability of dealing with interceptors and other lighter fighters before they get into dogfighting range.

Description: Originally developed by Subach-Innes under the identity of Project Strongarm, the Eightgun-class Assault Fighter was intended to be a heavy assault fighter fitting weaponry beyond what would ordinarily be considered as sultable for even a standard assault fighter. The Eightgun mounts, as its name suggests, eight primary weapons - the standard HL-7 Xaser, giving it enough firepower to easily dispatch anything short of a corvette. While a potent anti-bomber ship, the Eightgun's minimal ordnance tubes leave it quite vulnerable to interceptors and space superiority fighters should they get into dogfighting range. The Eightgun as it currently exists fulfills a strategic niche in the Sith Empire, capable of, in squadrons, dealing with the Liberte-class Light Corvette as used by many Light Side factions - along with whatever bombers they choose to bring forth.

Eight laser canons and missiles on a ship this small is pretty high. I'm gonna need you to to bump that rating up to Extreme and bump something else down if you want to keep this.
