++ Silver tongue - an expert orator who can quickly build rapport with strangers and manipulate them to do his bidding with words alone. His quirky, upbeat and personable speaking style finds favour across the galaxy.
++ Do the maths - highly skilled mathematician and economist, able to understand and efficiently manipulate large-scale financial systems for personal gain. Able to see patterns and connections before others, allowing him to play markets, secure maximum returns on investment, and orchestrate the bankruptcy of rivals.
-- Cowardly rascal - he is an economist at heart, and his interest in war is limited only to the financial opportunities it presents. His instinct is to flee or hide when faced with danger.
-- Lover, not a fighter - his slight build, lack of combative training and inexperience with a blaster puts his at significant disadvantage when a fight cannot be avoided.
-- Blind ambition - his insatiable greed is accompanied by a high degree of risk-taking and a vulnerability to bribery.
Aerarii was born toward the end of the 400-Year Darkness on Aargau in the Core. His family, as with almost every family on Aargau, were heavily involved in banking and finance. His father died during his early teens from illness, leaving his mother to raise him and his younger sister, with who he has not been in contact with since his early 20’s.
He completed selective primary and secondary education on Aargau, which included the expected heavy focus on maths and accounting, and after coming of age completed tertiary education in economics on Corulag.
His early life was spent in the employment of the the largest private sector banks and companies throughout the galaxy, and he built impressive personal holdings and wealth. Rumour has it that some of the companies he helped to establish continue to this day under aliases as slow-growth investments or dormant clearing houses for pilfered credits.
Tithe joined the Sith Empire around 859 ABY at the height of its power as a Treasurer General with the Sith-Imperial Banking Clan. He worked to modernise and grow the Sith economy while undermining his nemesis Beltis Kishar, Grand Treasurer of the Sith Empire and Minister of Finance, while also growing his personal fortune. He elected to remain with the Sith loyalists during the schism that created the ascendent New Imperial Order and was rewarded with a promotion to Moff.
Tithe played a key role in the ultimately unsuccessful defence of several Sith Empire worlds and came to realise the folly of his loyalty as his Sector Group collapsed. He eventually bargained his life in result for political asylum and, after betraying the Sith during the fall of Bastion, set off for a new life in the Core.
Tithe found a new home with the benevolent Galactic Alliance and reinvented himself as an innocent bureaucrat forced into the service of the Sith. He was elected Senator for his homeworld of Aargau and climbed the ladder of Alliance politics, rising to Vice Chancellor to secure the corporatist bloc. He helped lead the Alliance's contribution to the war with the Sith Order, which soon collapsed under unrelenting pressure from the Alliance, the New Imperial Order, and their allies.
Manipulated by the Sith'air Darth Solipsis, Tithe led a public witchhunt of the New Jedi Order in the aftermath of the war. The ruse was discovered when the Brotherhood of the Maw revealed themselves and laid waste to Coruscant. With his predecessor gravely injured, Tithe was elevated to the role of Chancellor and led the Alliance through the early stages of the Second Great Hyperspace War.
Now in the top role, Tithe exploited every possibility as Chancellor to grow his personal wealth. He led what was largely considered the most ineffective and corrupt administration in living memory and did not stand for reelection when his term ended, choosing to return to the private sector with his ill-gotten gains.
