INTO THE STORMLANDS - A DARK EMPIRE STORY

The galaxy is in turmoil. In the aftermath of Operation Shadow Hand, the Empire sets its sights on the heart of the galaxy, Coruscant, determined to reclaim its former glory. Taking the worlds of Tython, Empress Teta, and Prakith, the Empire finds themselves one step closer to their grand plan. But if they are to succeed they will need the resources of..

NYRIAAN - Wracked by frequent and ferocious storms and beset by mean temperatures that would be unbearable to most without the the ability to escape into cooled shelter, Nyriaan was an unfavourable posting to the average rank-and-file of the preceding Empire, and a further distasteful destination for some of its Imperial Knights, owing to the inexplicable interrupt to their Force-borne connection while transiting through the planet's atmosphere. In the decades since the fracturing of that imperial state, Nyriaan has been largely abandoned by the institution of Order… until now.

Acting on a report submitted by Inquisitor Amena Kader Amena Kader of the Dark Side Elite, the Empire makes for Nyriaan and the promises it holds beneath the ferocity of its climate.

OBJECTIVE 1: CLOUDFALL

"You see, boys, everybody thinks they want freedom, but what they really want is order. And when they realize that, they're gonna welcome us back with open arms."

At the behest of Imperial High Command, the Empire unveils their audacious plan to re-initiate the ancient protocol - Operation Cloudfall. A meticulously orchestrated campaign originally enacted by the Galactic Empire and the Mining Guild in 8 BBY, to strip Nyriaan of all its madilon ore. Initially, the Old Empire was successful, however it sparked significant unrest among the Nyriaanan clans, so naturally, the Empire had them killed or enslaved. The project eventually brought ecological disaster to a quarter of Nyriaan's land mass, and was ended in 2 ABY, as a result of the actions of a Rebel Alliance-sponsored insurgency.

Lacking ORDER, Imperial forces have made short work of planetary defenses and divided clans in opposition. Imperial & Scar Hounds Auxiliaries alike must brave the violent Stormlands and reactivate the long-dormant mining facilities. Imperial Intelligence will accompany those deployed and seek to take samples of the deadly Falsin's Rot for future use by the Imperial Science Bureau.

Beware! The extraction of madilon ore comes with a cost, the deep drilling has and will continue to destabilize the planet. Expect hostile opposition from the locals, including up to armed rebellion, or enemy espionage. Falsin's Rot is rampant, claiming the lives of many, do not allow it to claim yours. Any connection to the Force is weak here, Force users will find that their abilities are useless while in the atmosphere, and dampened when they land on the surface. Ensure the extraction of the precious resources needed to fuel the Empire's war machine, and in doing so we will have claimed victory!

Mission Objectives:

  • Restore the Mining Facilities and prevent rebel forces from halting our operations.
  • Extract Samples of Falsin's Rot for future biological weapons development.

Imperials, Scar Hounds, etc

OBJECTIVE 2: EYES ON THE PRIZE

THE CHAMBER OF THE TRIBUNAL - CADEMIMU V - IMPERIAL SPACE

After a brief recess and the arrival of the Ren, Jin Kyrel Jin Kyrel , who takes it upon himself to enforce order in the chamber, the Tribunal reconvenes with more decorum to focus on its primary task - the deliberation over filling the vacuum left by the Imperial Despot, the late Ignacious Korvan Ignacious Korvan - as well as other matters concerning the nascent war with the Galactic Alliance.

With the Emperor's sights now set on the long-standing Crown Jewel of the Galaxy, the Tribunal must not be bogged down in matters that detract from this path, and the growth and security of our nation.

Work counter to the interests of the Empire at your own peril.

Mission Objectives:

  • Nominate and discuss candidates for the position of Grand Vizier.
  • Discuss preparations for the Empire's move on the Imperial Center - Coruscant.

Moffs, Governors, Admirals, Generals, MAW Khan, Master of Ren, Executor, Church of Dark Side, Administrators

The Tribunal of the Dark Empire proved to be as sturdy as a soggy paper bag, losing its power as soon as it encountered any minor obstacle. Their previous attempts to engage in a civilized conversation regarding the selection of a Supreme Commander for military affairs and a Grand Vizier to manage bureaucratic matters were utterly fruitless as the chamber devolved into shouting matches and beatings of chests.

After the conference finally regained its focus, the Gossam settled into her seat. The main agenda shifted from appointing a Supreme Commander to discussing the Grand Vizier position and the absurd idea of attacking one of the most heavily fortified planets in the galaxy. Coruscant, the crown jewel of the galaxy and the longstanding headquarters of the most influential faction.

Despite the significant risks involved, this endeavor had the potential to transform the Imperial Economy into a formidable force. With its robust industry and solid infrastructure, it was an ideal hub for weapon development and civil projects.

However, these advantages would be short-lived if they didn't conduct a thorough diagnostic scan of the entire planet, meticulously clearing out any remnants of Alliance Resistance in a step-by-step manner. The cost of such an operation, coupled with the need to maintain defensive fortifications around their recent acquisitions, would be exorbitant.

"Now that the meeting has been called into focus once more, no thanks to certain individuals around the room. We need to appoint a Grand Vizier who has long time diplomatic experience yet rigid enough to withstand an ever expanding imperial bureacracy as we absorb more planets nearby. Although such an individual must be tightly controlled to avoid them assuming power in the event of the Emperor's demise later if such an scenario were to occur." The Gossam spoke up once more, wanting to position the Trade Federation in a more favorable place.

"I agree with the Representative from the Trade Federation," Derix intoned, leaning forward in his seat ever so slightly, "Even if I find her...assumptions disconcerting."

His mind raced with thoughts of his own candidacy for the position. He had the experience, the cunning, and the ruthlessness required to navigate the treacherous waters of Imperial politics. And with the backing of Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen and Onrai Onrai , his path to the Grand Vizier position seemed clearer than ever.

But as he contemplated his next move, a nagging doubt crept into his mind. Was this truly what he wanted? Did he want to deal with the endless greed and squabbles of the Tribunal, manipulating them from the shadows while they basked in their own self-importance? Or did he aspire to something greater, something more...direct?

He shook his head, banishing the doubts from his mind. Now was not the time for hesitation. Now was the time for action.

"I believe I am the ideal candidate for the position of Grand Vizier," he announced, his voice carrying a steely resolve. "I have served the Empire faithfully for years, without question or hesitation. I have the knowledge, the skills, and the dedication required to lead our nation into a new era of prosperity and strength."

He paused, letting his words sink in. "I accepted the nomination for the position of Grand Vizier, and I pledged to serve the Empire and its people with unwavering loyalty and devotion. This Tribunal should hear further nominations, further acceptances and should submit a finalized list of candidates to His Imperial Majesty, without delay. There are other matters on the agenda to discuss."

With that, he leaned back in his seat, his gaze sweeping across the room. The game of politics was ever-changing, but one thing remained constant - Derix Tirall would always strive to come out on top.

“I believe not much has changed despite the in my opinion unnecessary interruption.” Onrai said, once more seated in her chair of choice with her formerly human form as a front-facing personage. “Frankly I was under the impression that we had already agreed on Derix Tirall’s nomination to the viziership as he possesses the appropriate qualifications for the position and was already supported by myself and Grand Admiral Sularen without any resistance. Considering the desire of some to speak of other matters, ie. the future invasion of Coruscant, I believe that there is no need to regurgitate our arguments. Support for Vizier Tirall stands.”

The entire interruption of Darth Ayra Darth Ayra had been something Onrai had viewed as unnecessarily detrimental to the order and stability of the discussion. They were not barbarians to shed blood here - though if it was shed, perhaps the rites of the Fellowship of Kooroo would come in particularly handy.

His black cape sweeps the dust and dirt on the floor as he rounds the last corner. The datapad nearly cracks in his grasp as he reads through the pages of the Tribunal meeting’s typed-out draft protocol. His frustration is already palpable before he even arrives at the meeting; he dreads the meeting’s sluggish pace, its so-far nonexistent progress. He’s not one for talking about things, but doing things. Cold light dances on his glaring mask as he passes an overhead spotlight.

His walk quickens, each echoing footstep foreshadowing the Blasphemer’s arrival. The corridor leading to the Tribunal chamber is now empty of the Dark Empire’s leading figures and otherwise present attendees; the recess is over. Memories of his youth claw at his composure; feigned meetings, obscure ambitions, veiled threats, he has seen all of this before, and hates these indirect proceedings with colossal passion. Three, two, one step separates him from the blastdoor. The datapad disappears beneath the folds of his robe.

The mechanism tears the twin doors open, and for a couple of seconds he stands there silently, the maroon mask’s ominous gaze meandering across those gathered in the room. The Blasphemer then starts walking toward a vacant spot at the table. He waits until the previous talker finishes their sentence, then addresses the Tribunal.
- Emperor’s greetings to the tribunal. - Ptolemis allows the significance of the reminder to linger. - I urge all of you to focus on getting this problem solved. Useless objections will not suffice; provide a counter-offer, or stay silent. Remember that none of us are above the Emperor's will. - He looks at several of the participants in the eye. - We are here to build his Dark Empire. If you are not here solely for that purpose, this is your last chance to leave this Tribunal. - The Blasphemer's distorted voice echoes in the room.

His lightsaber cleaved through a Stormtrooper, falling to the stack of bodies surrounding Rhis. He was far from the core after his transgressions against the Jedi, for their experimentations with Sithspawn. Though he no longer was a Jedi it did not stop him from his indefinite crusade against all he deemed unholy.

The Sith, the corrupted Jedi, all who had maleficent intentions would fall to his lightsaber.

A lone paladin with only his lightsaber to pave his path through the darkness.

This deceased squad of Stormtroopers was only one of many to eliminate for the Fallen Jedi. Though independent, he worked along with the native tribes who also aligned their interests in resisting the Dark Imperials.

The twin doors opened slowly to reveal the robed form of Detritus Ren would emerge as he walked with a heavy gait. His wounds would flare up, and he could feel the gnawing of thousands of little teeth embed into him. Detritus was always in some form of constant pain and rage. He had thought best to have sat the last meeting out, for he had suffered greatly in his Duel on Tython against two Cathar Jedi Knights that had cost him. He was lucky to survive, for next time should he encounter those two again he would be ready for them. In that time he had rested within the cooling liquids of Bacta as they started to restore some of his body. Through the use of Sith Knowledge did he manage to keep the toxins at bay, even as his nerves felt like they were burning.

Unfortunately, by the time the Shadow Priest had awakened from his his slumber, Imperial Officials had notified him of a change within the meeting. It was from then that the enraged Detritus marched towards the chambers. He had confronted most of them, notifying them of how displeased he was there was the slightest delay in the Emperors plans. He was fully enraged, but had managed to contain himself, lest he further agitate the creatures that fed on them. The Master of Ren wasn't pleased as he had stepped into the Tribunal chambers. He took note of who had left last time, and if those potential troublemakers would appear in the Tribunal this time. He had surely hoped that wouldn't be the case.

Detritus maintained a level of his seething rage as he walked. His steps were heavy as boots pressed against the floor. His eyes through that of his helmet would gaze at each face. Noticing that the Shadow Hand himself had appeared, it was quite the occasion for the Tribunal to have his presence. Detritus surely hoped not to disappoint the one that answered to the Emperor himself, for he hoped that the great work would resume once more.

Detritus would nod to the Shadow Hand's words, while he listened for the talk of a Grand Vizier to be elected. He wondered who had been worthy of such an important position. Grand Vizier was not one to be taken lightly. Thats if there was no one else to disrupt important meetings as this one, or Force Forbid too much interference by the New Sith Order. For now he had hoped that things would be put back into order. He nodded. "I concur. There is too much in play, and too many plans in motion. This Tribunal must be united if our Empire is to be realized along with our Emperors vision. As long as results are produced." He paused, his fiery gaze heading to each face in the room. "Now for the matter regarding the Grand Vizier. Who would be ready to take on such a task?" He looked to the candidates even trying to read them through the Force. Never again would there be further interruptions to the Tribunal as long as Detritus was present before an audience such as the Shadow Hand himself. For now Detritus didn't wish to delay the proceedings of this Tribunal any further.

Blaster fire crackled through the air, mixing with the shouts and cries of battle. The roaring engines of a Lambda-class shuttle arriving as reinforcements drowned under the cacophony of violence filling Lieutenant Raftin's ears. His attention was diverted by a tap on his back from his XO, prompting him to turn and observe the expected arrival of stormtroopers pouring out of the shuttle's ramp.

Raftin's jaw dropped as a lone figure, donned in light-armor, emerged from the shuttle instead. She briefly stopped to scan her surroundings, much like a predator seeking its prey. A sigh of relief escaped the officer's lips when the Dark Jedi's piercing gaze skipped him and locked into the sole figure of her interest -- the Nautolan Jedi keeping Raftin's advance at bay.

The lieutenant watched her carve her way through the ranks of the local resistance, crimson blade in hand, before lunging from above to strike down the Nautolan.

TRIBUNAL CHAMBER // CADEMIMU V

qXu9Rp6.png

“Ah, if I may, with the utmost respect and deference to this illustrious Tribunal, venture to place before you a proposal, a nomination if you will. one that stands this growing Empire in good stead as we liberate the Core from the corrupt Galactic Alliance.”

Tithe returned to the Tribunal Chamber and resumed his seat. He had endured Korvan’s funeral procession long enough to be seen by important Imperial figures. The visage of Tithe, adorned head to toe in dark mourning clothes as he paid respects to the fallen Imperial Despot, was an investment in his future. He would never admit publicly to the insincerity of his attendance at the event, or that he had never known Korvan nor cared about the man.

“The, uhh, splendid victories we've notched at Tython and Empress Teta, they've laid before us a golden runway, a chance to decisively outmaneuver the Alliance. But, and it's a significant but, this opportunity, it hinges on our ability to keep the wheel spinning, to keep the momentum at full throttle. The market, you see, is as fickle as the wind, constantly shifting, and we, oh, we cannot, dare not, let our adversaries bolster their positions. It's absolutely, unequivocally critical that we preserve an unbroken lineage, a continuity in our governance.”

While Tithe had watched Korvan's funeral procession, his thoughts had not been on the fallen leader. The Despot could not reach out from the grave to influence Tithe's future. Instead, he had used the brief interlude to look to the future.

“The Imperial Administrator, Shannic Wulf Shannic Wulf , she’s been on this relentless quest, pouring every ounce of her energy into sculpting a robust government that truly embodies the Emperor’s audacious dreams,” Tithe explained. “She’s already armed with the essential expertise, the network of connections, indispensable really, for propelling our initiatives in the Core forward without skipping a beat. Instead of diverting our precious resources to the herculean task of building a new government from scratch, we should, indeed we must, concentrate our efforts on fortifying our freshly secured markets.”

VVVDHjr.png

Derix sat back in his seat, listening to Aerarii Tithe's impassioned speech nominating Shannic Wulf for the position of Grand Vizier. While he found Tithe's words to be overly dramatic and self-serving, he couldn't deny that Wulf was a competent and skilled administrator, more than capable of handling the responsibilities of the position.

"I agree with the nomination of the Imperial Administrator, Shannic Wulf," Derix spoke up, his voice calm and measured. "Her dedication to our cause and her expertise in governance make her a strong candidate for this esteemed office."

He then looked around the chamber. "Are there any further nominations for the position of Grand Vizier?" he inquired, wanting to ensure that all potential candidates were considered. "If not, I move that this Tribunal submit the names of Administrator Wulf and myself to the Emperor post haste as its endorsed candidates for the position of Grand Vizier."

With that he turned to Darth Ptolemis Darth Ptolemis . "With your permission, Lord Executor, I would like to move on to the topic of invading Courscant."

"I propose a strategy that leverages the untapped potential of soft power." Derix continued once the Sith Lord gave his permission. His eyes gleamed with a calculating intensity as he made contact with each member of the Tribunal. "We must first create chaos in the lower levels of Courscant, using orchestrated attacks and conflicts to disrupt the Alliance's control and create an atmosphere of fear and unrest. Both the Imperial Security Bureau and the Church of the Dark Side have contacts on the ground that can serve us well in that particular endeavor, and we can always augment those forces with hired labor. As our dear Aerarii Tithe Aerarii Tithe would agree, credits are a powerful motivator."

"As the lower levels descend into chaos, the New Sith Order will infiltrate and exacerbate the situation, further destabilizing the Alliance's hold on the planet. This will create an opening for our forces to make a decisive strike, quelling the unrest and establishing total Imperial control."

He paused, letting the gravity of his words sink in.

"With your approval, we can set this plan in motion and pave the way for the Empire's ascension to its rightful place as the dominant power in the galaxy."

Like a moth to the flame.

Though weak in the Force, his attention focused on the corrupted Mirialan after sensing the darkness she spouted from her person. Now nothing else mattered than this…slave. A slave to the Dark Side. A slave to the machinations of her Master.

Gathering his own strength, Rhis would stand his ground and resist the Dark Jedi’s momentum from her attack. Prepared, before exhaling a soothing deep breath from his lungs as his emerald lightsaber intercepted her own. He retreated a few steps only to regain his lost ground and press the attack against her.

He’d match his fury with the Dark Jedi’s, dismissing any passive stances.

“Here lies your tomb,” with a snarl before his lightsaber came downward from a high guard. The power of an avalanche came from his attack, intending to batter through his enemy.

Sularen remained seated in his seat within the Tribunal, listening as the proceedings went on in regards to who would be selected as the new Grand Vizir of the Empire succeeding the deceased Ignacious Korvan in a political capacity. Already he had presented Derix Tirall, whom he had worked with for a long time as a possible candidate for the position, viewing him as a bridge between the Sith and Imperials from which he can balance the interests of both parties and ensure that disruptions such as that caused by Alicia Drey and Darth Apophion would never happen again. In addition to that, he believe that his close relationship with Tirall would enable him to possess a strong ally in the Empire's political sphere which could allow him to advance his own plans within the Empire to ensure it's success during the upcoming war.

Unlike the last session of the Tribunal, Detritus Ren and Darth Ptolemis were present in today's meeting, which the Grand Admiral knew would ensure that the today's discussion would go smoothly with no insults or threats, although even then what had happened last time still bothered him. The mere fact that a session of the Tribunal had been allowed to be derailed by two Sith was problematic alone and even though individuals like Detritus and Ptolemis were there to deter such behavior, the fact that some individuals within the Empire had such behavior in the first place as still a problem that needed to be dealt with. Nevertheless that was a matter to be dealt with at a later date for today, they need to finally decide who would become the Grand Vizir and make plans for the takeover of Coruscant.

As the members of the Tribunal went forward with the discussion, Aerarii Tithe moved forth to present the Imperial Administrator Shannic Wulf as a potential candidate for Grand Vizir pointing out to her dedication to her position as the Administrator, along with her expertise and connections, proclaiming her as individual with the necessary qualifications to lead the Empire in conquering the Core Worlds. Then Derix Tirall spoke up, shifting the conversation to the topic that Sularen found was now far more important then the matter of who would emerge as the Grand Vizir, the issue of what strategy the Empire should employ to conquer Coruscant.

Sularen listened as Derix Tirall laid out his plan to create chaos within the lower-levels of Coruscant in order to disrupt the Alliance's hold over the planet and create an atmosphere of fear and unrest before having the New Sith Order move forth to infiltrate and further escalate the situation which would then allow the Empire to strike at Coruscant, now crippled by chaos and unrest. It was a sound strategy that could even allow the Empire to disable any major ground-to-space defenses on the surface which would facilitate the Imperial Navy's offensive in orbit and increase their chances of victory.

However as he had done many times now, rather then giving his input on Tirall's strategy, the Grand Admiral would remain silent hoping to hear what ideas the other members of the Tribunal had to present forward before he could move forth to propose his own strategy for the conquest of Coruscant or provide some input to the strategies presented by the other members if he found them to be effective enough to bring the planet under swift Imperial control with minimal casualties. Thus, the Grand Admiral remained seated in his chair, waiting for the others to speak their mind on the matter.

"There will be no issues." Onrai said matter-of-factly to the Emperor's Hand. No one was above the Emperor's will? She doubted that, though she had no objections to Solipsis' leadership nor did she possess disloyalty to the Dark Empire. Detritus spoke, and she was a tad confused - had he not known that Derix Tirall Derix Tirall had been pushed as the nominee in question? As Aerarii gave his soliloquy about how he believed Shannic Wulf, someone Onrai admittedly held minimal regards for over her senseless bureaucratic brain and propaganda-infused fanaticism alone, she merely listened, watching and observing the discussion.

Then Derix supported Shannic's nomination. Onrai genuinely was in sheer disbelief. "Forgive me, but why are you supporting the nomination of an opponent to your claimancy as Grand Vizier? There is no reason to waste the Emperor's time when the majority of the tribunal has supported you for the position." She of course did not want to mention what would happen would Darth Ayra Darth Ayra deign to make a return - if Derix's initial indecision was bad enough, this would send her into utter paroxysms of rage.

Then Derix put forward his plan. While relatively basic, Onrai felt that there was more which could be added. "The plan could use some... additional elements, in my opinion. We know of the utter inhospitable lower levels of Coruscant, lightless and toxic, within which subhuman troglodytes crawl through and cannibalize whatever carrion they are able to acquire. What was recovered from Tython, however, may be of tremendous value." She said, before reaching within her robes and unveiling a pernicious tome. The outer leather of the grimoire was blackened and aged, having the complexion of a mummified corpse, and Onrai's hands were very careful as she held it before her.

"I recovered this from the Jedi Archives, before the inevitable looting commenced." That was where she had met Spindle Spindle after all. "This book details the means by which one can create a gateway between one location and the next, a rift in reality to allow nigh-instantaneous transit between one location and the next. It also teaches necromancy, but nothing more than any scholar of Mechu-Deru Vitae or Tsaiwinokka Hoyakut would already know." One of the relics of the ancient Sith - the so-called True Sith, the crimson-skinned purebloods whose empire laid in shadow for millennia.

"I mention this because I visited the bottom of the Chasm beneath the ruins of Anil Kesh - lying below the Force Storms are the ruins of one such gateway, an unstable primordial pool of untapped energies waiting to be harvested. I propose that we rebuild this gateway and use it to directly transport our forces into the heart of Coruscant when the time is right. No fleet movements to give away to the Alliance that we will be hitting their capitol. No information that might leak when the first steps are made to transit from Tython. Only pure unfettered surprise and a horror the Alliance will never experience again, knowing that all their firepower, all their tactics and planning are useless and the Dark Empire wields total dominion over them."

"Yes..." Sinestra muttered through gritted teeth as the Jedi's heavy onslaught forced her backwards. The strain on her face twisted into a sardonic smirk, "...let the anger flow through you."

With a swift parry, she deflected a slash and disengaged, gracefully leaping several meters backward.

"Let it sear away your weaknesses." she taunted, twirling the crimson blade in her grasp. Her movements seemed slightly restrained, a consequence of Nyriaan's force-dampening atmosphere.

"Is that all you can do?" the Mirialan jeered, eagerly awaiting the Jedi's attack.

The Tribunal found itself in a state of decorum as two distinct options emerged for the esteemed position of Grand Vizier of the Empire. On one hand, there was the spiritual leader and Former High Regent, Derix Tirall Derix Tirall , while on the other hand, Administrator Shannic Wulf Shannic Wulf , proposed by Aerarii Tithe Aerarii Tithe , presented an alternative choice. Each of these potential candidates had their own merits and drawbacks, which were primarily influenced by the personal perception of the two individuals. One sought to manipulate the empire from the shadows, while the other aimed to captivate them with tales of historical imperialism and decrees passed down by their ever illusive emperor.

Only he had the authority to select the Grand Vizier, rendering any additional input futile. Their main priority now was to prepare their army for the conquest of Coruscant, the most prized possession in the galaxy and the legitimate capital of any Imperial regime. Despite being just one planet, it had witnessed the rise and fall of Empires and republics, its existence possibly protected by the guiding hand of the Ancient Celestials. It was a gamble, one that could threaten to repeat the mistakes over Tython by the Brotherhood of the Maw which resulted in their timely demise after the Alliance Counter-Offensive.

While there were proposals to use the vast underworld to sow chaos, one partciular comment got to her coming from Onrai Onrai .

"The strategy being proposed seems to align more with the tactics employed by the Brotherhood of the Maw rather than a well-thought-out strategic plan. The Dark Empire should place its trust in technological progress in weaponry and machinery, rather than relying on ancient magic and portals with potentially limitless capabilities." The Gossam said with a serious tone, wanting to shift from this nonsense about ancient gateways to surprise the Galactic Alliance. They were not the Brotherhood of the Maw whose tactics relied on just brute force and cruelness.

"To ensure the Dark Empire's future, it is imperative that we achieve a resounding triumph over the Galactic Alliance Home Fleet. Only through such a decisive victory can we establish the galaxy's recognition of our rightful Imperial Government, backed by the might of our armed forces. Although it may appear antiquated, the New Republic employed a similar approach when they toppled the Grand Vizier Mas Amedda. Therefore, I propose an additional modification to Derix Tirall's plan, which involves persuading corporations on Coruscant to facilitate our passage by opening a pathway for our transports. This strategic maneuver will enable us to seize crucial locations, including the Power Grid." Meii-Nu said.

For now, the proceedings were back on track. Despite his lack of faith in most forms of government and governmental institutions, the role of a chairman in this situation is somewhat of an acceptable one for Ptolemis, at least on this day. The looming form of the Shadow Hand takes a step back and remains silent, resuming his enigmatic observation of the others’ demeanor, feelings… doubts. The Blasphemer’s telepathic senses are unleashed, crawling like clouds of insects across the room.

And so he senses the oncoming storm that is the Master of the Ren Jin Kyrel Jin Kyrel , leader of a most powerful organization in the Dark Empire’s fold. Ptolemis recognizes the terrible creatures - orbalisks, that are latched onto his body. A deal most painful and unholy; one that the Shadow Hand can respect. Ptolemis registers Detritus’ question and looks to the others, eager to maintain this reignited pace of the talks.

Ptolemis nods once to Derix Tirall Derix Tirall and believes that assured conclusions such as his are what will move this Tribunal forward; Tirall, acknowledging both Aerarii Tithe Aerarii Tithe 's nomination of Shannic Wulf Shannic Wulf and his own, recommends forwarding the two named candidates to the Emperor. Turning the page, Tirall then proposes the sowing of chaos on the lower levels of Coruscant and allowing the flames of unrest to engulf the upper levels of the ecumenopolis in order to prepare the planet for the taking. A plan that the shrewd banker Meii-Nu Suu Meii-Nu Suu amended by adding that influencing key corporations may ease the Dark Empire’s conquest - simultaneously shutting down Onrai Onrai 's plan involving the reliance on the paranormal. Although profoundly tied to matters of the Force and its Dark Side, Ptolemis can’t help but lean more on the banker’s and the priest’s sides of the argument.

Air seeps through his mask as the Sith Lord inhales, and turns to Derix Tirall.
- I sense an opportunity hidden in your plan. A group of hand-picked individuals could spearhead this mission to corrupt Coruscant’s underworld. The heads of each offensive arm could put forth their own selections. Imperial spies, Knights of the Ren, acolytes of the Sith Order. This may strengthen the dark threads that bind us. - The Shadow Hand’s hand gestures end with the clenching of his gloved fist.

"I serve the Emperor," Derix explained to Onrai Onrai . "We are not the Senate. The Tribunal has no business electing a Grand Vizier. Perhaps that is why we have faced such challenges in the past. Our loyalty should be to the Emperor alone, and we should trust in his wisdom to appoint the most suitable candidate for the position."

For all intents and purposes, Derix was certain that candidate was him. Wulf might've been qualified, but she held no direct connections with Darth Solipsis Darth Solipsis as he did.

He continued, his tone firm and resolute. "I believe the Emperor will see the value in my experience and connections. My loyalty to him has never wavered, and I have proven my dedication to the Empire time and time again. We've already established that the position of Grand Vizier requires someone who can navigate the complexities of our bureaucracy while remaining steadfast in their loyalty to the Emperor's vision. I am confident that I am the best candidate for this crucial role."

Derix then turned to address the concerns about his plan directly. "We must be willing to take calculated risks in order to achieve our objectives. The rebuilding of the gateway you mentioned could indeed be a valuable asset, but we must weigh the potential benefits against the risks involved. We cannot afford to tip our hand prematurely or expose ourselves to unnecessary danger."

He then turned to Meii-Nu Suu Meii-Nu Suu . "Your amendment to my plan has merit, and I believe it could complement my approach nicely. By persuading corporations on Courscant to facilitate our passage, we can further disrupt the Alliance's hold on the planet and expedite our takeover."

The anger flowed through his being, dangerous tides to be in for any ordinary Jedi. The only time he faced a situation like this was in Korriban. Storming a Sith Academy and mercilessly slaughtering all those within its walls, hardly leaving any survivors during his onslaught.

What different was this to that moment in time? He was, after all, one of the most radical Jedi during his time.

He’d press on the attack, ignoring her jibes to distract him. Typical for the Sith and its agents to conduct in such tactics.

All he had to make sure was not allow the anger to evolve into hatred…

As he lunged with a slash at her shoulder.

Even with her dampened senses, the Dark Side Elite felt the Nautolan's fury brewing within like a tempest. Her satisfaction almost cost her an arm.

The Mirialan's agile physiology aided her now when Force was harder to reach, but the Jedi was fast. Surprisingly fast. His emerald blade scorched through duraplast, zeyd-cloth and flesh, searing a vertical scar across Sinestra's shoulder.

She stepped back with one foot, narrowly avoiding losing her entire arm, and swiftly countered. She swung at the Jedi's wrist with the tip of her red blade.

A sly smirk of satisfaction etched his lips to see the Dark Jedi struggling against his attacks, even coming close to dismembering her arm. His efforts only burned her armor and left a scar on her shoulder.

However, he overstepped when the Mirialan’s agility easily evaded his line of attack and countered swiftly.

Hand and lightsaber fell to the earth, her lightsaber easily cleaving through his flesh and bone.

“ARGH.”
A scream of pain and anger bellowed from him, his eyes widened as his other hand cradled his wound.

“You…vermin,” although dampened from the Force his anger provided him enough reserves when his remaining hand pointed at the woman and then began to crush her throat with the power of the Force. Little by little choking the life out of her lungs.

I hate you.
