The attack on Coruscant is still fresh, but life has begun to move again. The Galactic Alliance sees rapid expansion, despite inner turmoil, as planets in the Rim and Unknown Region seek asylum from the atrocities that creep further south. The Senate has resumed business as normal under their new leaders, looking for ways to address the threats to their democracy and rekindle faith from the population at large. The New Jedi Order looks for a way to navigate new-found autonomy as the move away from Alliance rule, whilst still protecting the people of the core.

Objective I: Galaxy at Arms

The raid on Coruscant has seen previously stalled defense bills pushed forth for evaluation. The first to see the floor is proposed by Senator Vel'alari of Bilbringi, which was initially written to challenge the previously defeated Regulation of Planetary Militias Act. Rather than regulating planetary defenses, the Alliance Defense Enhancement Act opts for planetary governments to receive additional funding and resources to allow their systems to better address the looming threat of the Brotherhood. Additionally, the bill highlights a growing need to repeal the ban on cloning.

Voices in the senate have been split on the drastic measures the Alliance Defense Enhancement Act seeks. Supporters say such means are necessary and argue that this is exactly what the budget- paid for in taxes by the people- is exactly meant for. Given the fate of Jakku and the battle of Coruscant, those on the northern edge of the Alliance have been particularly staunch, hoping to avoid the same devastation. However, opponents argue a planet should be able to defend itself without charity from the federal government. The talk of repealing cloning is also a cause for concern, with some going as far to say the creation and deployment of cloned forces are nothing more than slave labor.

Objective II : Sleep of the Sun

In ancient times, Tasar crystals were revered for their great power. Possession of one granted great societal esteem, while it was rumored that those whose lust for more was so great performed blood sacrifices to unlock more… mystical capabilities. As centuries passed, Tasariq began to shun these practices, and they all but vanished- though caretakers carried the tale, teasing little children when they refused to listen. The sacrifices faded into nothing more than tall tales and dark history within dusty tomes as crystals became family relics and a backing for currency.

However, these myths have led to the rise of a death cult within the rolling dunes of the dusky desert world. The old and the new come together as the crystals are seen as the means to their ultimate end- rebirth under the avatar of war. Several have gone missing from nearby villages, presumed dead, killed in the holy ritual and reborn for their contributions.

Locals report activity in the craters to the east of Tasariq city and within the tunnels that connect all craters together. Their government has pleaded with the Alliance for help in resolving this matter. Venture down to find the cultist, but ensure they don’t find you first.

Objective III: Amongst the Stars // Operation Heartseeker

Destroyed by Revenant Squadron, the Battlecruiser Magnus, originally belonging to the New Sith Order, floats shattered and immobilized above Coruscant.

There are early reports that the navigation system onboard the Battlecruiser is still detectable and could be active. IVI IVI suspects that with some reverse engineering, or The Force’s blessing, this system will reveal the location of The Maw’s unknown capital. With information this close, The Alliance cannot afford to let these findings slip through their hands. M will not allow the chance to strike back at the heart of the Brotherhood. Failure is not an option.

Operation: Heartseeker is activated with several strike teams under M’s directive. They’re to ascend to the atmosphere and explore the floating remains of the ship. Revenant Squadron has been deployed alongside SIA teams to provide air support. While most of the crew is deceased or evacuated, some still linger.

The massive metal spiral at the base of the cavernous Senate Chamber opened and the Chancellor's Podium issued forth like a flower in bloom. This would mark the first time that Aerarii Tithe Aerarii Tithe ascended into the room as the leader of the Galactic Alliance. It would subsequently mark the first time that Mirana Praji rose alongside him as the Vice Chancellor and the de jure Speaker of the Senate. The young Coruscanti's rise in galactic politics had been anything but meteoric. She, like most of her family, were staples of public servitude in the Core. Her mother, Mina Praji Mina Praji , had previously served as the third highest ranking officer in the Alliance government and Mirana herself had devoted much of her free time to local politics and acts of charity that had been highly publicized by the capital media.

Still, even Mirana had not expected to be elevated to the role of Vice Chancellor. Yet, when the opportunity arose she graciously accepted.

She had chosen a bright blue gown for her Senate debut, paired with a sparkling sapphire necklace and coronet which crested the pristine curls of her golden hair. The spotlight that shown down on their high seat made her twinkle like starlight. Resting loosely in the crook of her arm was the
Speaker's Staff, the symbol of the Vice Chancellor's authority in the Senate. She wielded it coolly as if it had always been meant to rest in her delicately manicured hands.

When the podium reached its zenith, she carefully grasped the staff in her right hand and let it fall heavily against the durasteel floor. The sound was thunderous, amplified by the microphones. Mirana smiled blithely as silence fell over the chamber. Laid before them was the grace business of war, but with all politics they also had to contend with the changing of the guard, something that all of the Senators were no doubt eager to observe at last. "The Senate of the Galactic Alliance will come to order," her voice was airy and melodic, but it carried the weight of her office all the same, "before we proceed with the legislative business of today's session, Chancellor Aerarii Tithe Aerarii Tithe will address the assembly."

She bowed her head in deference to the Chancellor before taking her seat next to him. Her entire political career had been largely characterized by her staunch, yet un-newsworthy loyalty to Chancellor Chandra. Mirana toed the line of the Federalist Bloc. Her votes followed the party line, her speeches were benign and uncontroversial, and compared to her scandal-ridden predecessor, Ido Bastra Ido Bastra , Mirana was a breath of fresh air for the people of Coruscant. While Ido's career had been dominated by unadulterated greed and corporate gamesmanship, the new Vice Chancellor was mostly seen handing out food rations in the lower levels of the ecumenopolis or proposing new names for air traffic lanes.

Still, despite her relative mundanity, Mirana Praji represented the support and power of the wildly popular former Chancellor. Her presence next to Aerarii gave his administration legitimacy and control over the largest voting bloc of Senators. The Coruscanti Senator intimately understood the power that gave her over the policies of the new executive office and she intended to make use of that.

For now, though, she merely smiled out at the sea of politicians who were no-doubt on the edge of their seats, awaiting the careful words of their new Chancellor.

Straight backed and alert, Zaka flew in with his StealthX around the wreckage of Battlecruiser Magnus. It was only a matter of time until the vessel was inspected and scrapped. But waiting for the Alliance to do it? That'd take weeks at the minimum. Months was more likely with a ship of this size. And although he didn't have the best idea of what he was really looking for, Zaka had heard how the Brotherhood had appeared in the skies over Coruscant abruptly.

No warning to their approach.

Not so different from when he had been on Sarvchi.

The star specked black hull swooped around and in his periphery, he could see an opening in the ship.

Cutting the thrust to the engines, and jerking the yoke to the right, the X-Wing canted and turned on its axis before he righted it. From head on, he could see that the opening was definitely a hangar door.

The fighter landed, and it was only then that he realized there was still artificial atmosphere active. "Huh." The buckle securing him to the seat was undone and the cockpit top was flying up. Emergency power, he realized when he noted the dim lights. In a hangar like this, they should've been near blinding at full strength.

"At least I don't gotta worry about this baby flying away, huh El-Bee?"

There was a confirming clarification by the astromech and he turned. "If anyone approaches, give me a shout." Another blare of understanding and the Jedi was taking off through one of the doors leading further into the ship.

We'll have to go up, he thought in regards to his brief run about the exterior.

At least the ship was dead.

Standing atop a tall building in Seven Corners, Xan's new mask hid the enormous grin that was pretty much permanently affixed along her features. The smog and noise was loud and smelly as ever... and by the Force, she missed all of it. The wind that blew through her hair and tugged at her jacket, the thrill of accidentally falling off the wall she stood on. Even the hunger that growled in her stomach was something she purposefully left unattended, simply for the joy of feeling it again. The people of Denon didn't know how much they took for granted.

With a laugh she spread her arms out and leaned forward to plummet down to the streets far below her. The wind blasted past her as the ground grew closer with each passing second, and all the while she laughed and cheered like a maniac as she fell. She waited until the last moment to extend the blades from her forearms to dig into the duracrete wall next to her, slowing her down until she could safely jump off and land on the ground in a roll. Picking her hat back up, she turned to the nearest person who was quite understandably shocked by her sudden appearance. "I'm back, baby!" She shouted at him as she brushed her hair back and slipped her hat back on. The horns immediately lit up as she sprinted down the streets, no attention given to the crowd around her as she stared in shock at her.

She had a reason for her rush, though. Aside from enjoying the feeling of being alive again, she had been keeping her eyes on a certain Jedi that seemed to roam the streets like some comic book vigilante. From the chatter and reports she saw, she had a feeling why he was on Denon. Sure, she had a body now. But that didn't mean she didn't have the ability anymore to simply peer into the systems and connections of Denon in order to find him again.

Using her pistol's ascension cable, she flew up onto the roof of a building and ran along the block towards his last location. He would probably pass a camera again eventually, finding him wouldn't be a problem.

He'd been walking for a few minutes now. The goal of ascension was rather easy at this point. The only obstacles he had to avoid were vented rooms and doors that led out into open space.

"El-Bee? You got anything?"

At first there was silence. Was the droid as bored as he was wandering?

The snappy whistle of a response seemed excited enough to push that notion out of mind. Suppose not.

"Alright. Try to hook up into a console somewhere, I need to know where I'm going to make this faster."

Confirmation bleep. Good.

The hallway he was going down currently was more or less empty. The intersection he had just passed may as well have had all arrows pointing in this direction. Zaka couldn't help but follow them. When he got to the door, he peered through the glasteel window to see through to the other side.

Nothing inconspicuous. He was moving his hand to hit the button beside the door to cycle it open before he saw a figure pass the window.

His heart leapt into his throat. In an instant, his hilt was in his palm, but his widened eyes shrunk when he realized what it was.

An empty crate, floating aimlessly through the compartment.

Vented.

The lack of atmospheric pressure and other smaller objects floating about warned of a breach in the hull, but being garbed in the enviro-suit assured him that he was entirely safe. He hit the button. letting the door cycle open and lurched out to the other side. He hit the button once he was through and let the door shut before the way he came ran out of atmosphere as well.

But now, he was floating.

Quickly taking a bearing, he saw a rounded corner and pushed off the wall, floating through the vented cabin towards it.

GADividerPurple.png

LB passed many consoles on his journey to help his partner. There were a few functioning consoles in the immediate hangar bay they landed in, but they weren't perfect. Not that they needed to be - he could just slot in and have access in minutes.

His interior hummed and whirred, internal droid brain working as he turned about a corner. Reinforced doors up ahead. Based off travel time and directional travel, LB quickly determined it to be the hangar observation room. This would give him a better view of everything and anything.

The corridor broke out into separate ways, both to the left and right, but LB continued forward to the blast doors. A front slot slid open, the retractable jack springing out to plug into the opening. It twisted left to right, working, working, working...

There were heavy steps nearby.

There shouldn't have been - his partner had exited the other side of the hangar. It'd be impossible for him to be here so quick already.

Removing himself from the jack prematurely, as sheepish as a faceless droid could be, LB shifted to the right, nothing. Then to the left, and saw the approaching shrouded figure.

Too big to be his master.

He wasn't wearing big robes either, if his data memory recalled the enviro-suit properly.

More heavy steps. Menacing.

Time to go.

GALAXY AT ARMS
SENATE CHAMBER // CORUSCANT

Mirana Praji Mirana Praji | Grand Moff Vel'alari | Senators

cFh2335.png

Aerarii Tithe, Chancellor of the Galactic Alliance, looked out over the Senate Chamber. It was an auspicious day. He was the first Aargauun to hold the seat, and most likely the first member of the Corporatist Party. He was certainly the first person in recent history to take the reins of the government without having to face an election. Undoubtedly, he was the first Chancellor to have previously been an enemy combatant with the Sith Empire (or rather, a ‘minor functionary’ as he preferred). The debate was still open as to whether he was the most morally dubious person to sit in this seat.

And yet, here he was. No challenger had risen from the wings to question his ascension, though such action would have been politically risky as Coruscant smouldered around them. Their constituents looked to the Senate in great times of need for unity and civility. Of course, the challenges to his leadership would come. Just as he had in business, Tithe planned to shore up his position and make timely investments to stay ahead.

Vice Chancellor Praji opened the session, just as Tithe had done in the position she now held. The former Secretary of State brought with her years of elected experience and expertise, and most importantly, shored up the Populist Bloc. The Alliance needed the certainty of a career politician at its helm, all the better given her lineage.

“Now, let us start with a moment of observance to remember the tragic, tragic events which unfolded short weeks ago.” The Senate chamber fell to silence - a feat the Chancellor wished he would wield more often during debates. “And of course, our heartfelt condolences go out to the dear, dear, Chancellor Emiratus, Adhira Chandra Adhira Chandra .”

Tithe consulted the order of business on his datapad. “I’ll call forward the Member for Bilbringi to table her motion. We’ll then open the floor to, ah, parlay.” He motioned to the Bilbringi delegation. “Senator.”

The cabin shook and flickered to life as lights flashed from crimson red undertones to overhead lighting. Masks. Bucket-like helmets, the signature look of the galaxy’s stormtroopers, these were no Imperial Stormtroopers however.

Their black visage and crimson marks differentiated them as did the dark crest on their shoulder, the symbol of the Final Dawn. Cultists with guns, trained since birth to fight a war that never came, taught by the whispers of the One Sith and left in a galaxy that didn’t want them. The men in this cabin were the best of the best, Sith Troopers, not just that..

They were Purge Troopers.

Alexander made sure his helmet was sealed tight before rising from his seat, veiled eyes flashing immediately to his team of death dealing zealots as his heads-up-display came to life over his visor.

He moved his lips to speak, the vocabulator immediately sparking to life as the
stealth vessel closed in on the shattered Resurrection Class Battlecruiser Magnus floating high above Coruscant.

Three wheeled legs spun as fast as they could to escape the hulking being behind them. Bend after bend, slipping around each left behind body that it could.

The heavy steps behind continued, each a heavy step, but every single one drawing nearer and nearer that LB wasn't quite able to escape just yet. This being must've been familiar with the layout of the ship... Or maybe there was more than one!

GADividerPurple.png
Zaka pressed past bodies and objects of all kind. Rifles floated through the air, datapads, things that were mostly useless to him. From time to time he had to reorient himself by activating his magboots, but otherwise it was uneventful. What he did come to recognize was, there was something here. It was beyond a reasonable sense of thinking, as if he could sense it.

Up ahead, light seemed to pour into the corridor, and it was not long before he realized it to be the breached bulkhead that must've seen this part of the ship vented.

He moved past it, but there was a flopping sensation in his belly that was born when he eyed the passed breach.

Being encased in a behemoth sized ship like this must've made the occupants feel invincible. He was a pilot, he'd been surrounded by metal around him on all the sides. Had felt the rumble when his ship was damaged, the pang of fear that it'd end prematurely, but he survived. One missile explosion too close, one stray laser that wasn't even aimed at him, and it could be over like that.

The potential for dying in a craft as small as a starfighter was much higher than any reasonable person would like.

A ship this big? God complexes must've been shattered into a million pieces when it was knocked out of commission.

He stopped, eyeing the corridor in front of him. Blast doors.

No window to see, but he could only assume the other side of that door had atmosphere. Only way to find out.

"LB? You reach a console yet?" Even as he spoke the words he was realizing the adventurous astromech had taken much too long.

GADividerPurple.png
LB was moving too fast and crashed into a door.

It didn't open.

Proximity sensors must've been broken...

He rotated around, retractable tool prying back the jack covered and he slotted in once more.

The steps got closer...

He heard his partner's voice.

Working.

Heard it again,

Working.

This time he didn't repeat himself, but the space that was filled was the stomping sounds getting quicker. Hurried.

Working.

Stuck to the wall, LB rooted himself to the ground and as close to the wall as he could manage. The door was already unlocked. Domed head rotating about to watch the pair of Nephilim, he waited until they moved past any obstacle they could latch on to, and he cycled open the door.

Breach protocols were overridden. It was already over for them. As the door slid open, LB was working to locate his partner. A shrill warble, first of concern, then of satisfaction as he conveyed the story.

Meanwhile, he felt himself tugging, the two hulking Nephilim flying forwards through the air along with equipment. An unladen hover cart whipped past, striking the second of the pair from behind and shoved them forwards unexpectedly. Tumbling head over heels their grasping hands found purchase on nothing, even as they went past LB and into space beyond.

ChVAW7n.png

The Ommin-Class Infiltration Shuttle peeked through the veil of one of the starboard side hangar bays, broken and empty. Debris floated in the midst of the once proud Sith Battlecruiser, shattered support craft and empty TIE/fd launch pens gave a sense of haunting foreboding for what true terror awaited within.

The stealth craft touched down, releasing it’s landing gear and loading ramp as it magnetized to the flooring beneath it. A light flashed green within the confines of the cabin, immediately the Purge Troopers moved into action, disembarking and clearing the hangar bay with swift movement in the weightless chamber. They had to move quick, with limited oxygen supplies to their pressurized armor they could not compromise the mission by lingering too long in any one place. There were unsavory elements still lingering here, ones that would not have been dealt with so easily and without the control of the Dark Side Adepts they were to be mindless killing machines. Not only that fact, but the idea of the Alliance recovering the Wayfinder was unacceptable to the Neo-Imperial zealots.

Time was of the essence.

Garrick led his team from the front, motioning them forward with the efficiency of one would expect from a Death Trooper of ages old. Entering the nearby corridor they let the lack of gravity propel them down the long winding halls. Blasters at the ready, they scanned as they went with thorough eyes and steady trigger fingers.

Approaching a nearby set of sealed blast doors, Garrick twirled his index finger and redirected it towards the doorway. His team regrouped around the door and began cutting through while the others readied themselves for the breach

There were two other people on the ship, but they were taken care of. Behind the enviro-suit he frowned. Based off the description he just received, they didn't appear to be the average Maw Marauder, or Neo-Imperial Trooper. Zaka glanced over his shoulder, looking back the way he had come. Was he in over his head?

Looking back to the door ahead of him, Zaka's head bobbed up and down thoughtfully.

"If you're in the system, LB... Get me a path, fastest way to the bridge."

Another task, another excited warble.

On the edge of his mind he could still feel a lingering presence. Perhaps it was more of the beings that LB had encountered, but Zaka could sense that it was more. He slowed his breathing, shutting his eyes as he turned his focus inward, calling the Force to aid him in this endeavour as he reached out. He trusted completely in the Force as his Master had taught him, and he let his mind roll across its currents, even in this behemoth graveyard.

He felt the insidious nature of the Dark Side lash out. Only the glimpse of an image, of something, that he had never seen before. But with that image came a deep foreboding, more than he could understand. His eyes shot open, and he was in the midst of trying to discern what the hooked up equipment meant, but then he heard the familiar warble, but this time it was filled with concern.

"Intruders?"

A door cycled open, but not the one in front of him.

Emergency bulkheads sealed behind him, somewhere between the breached hull and him, and the seemingly sealed corridor retained its atmosphere. He saw the bodies on the ground, LB warbled again, and Zaka blinked blindly. The blast doors had been sealed because the compartment was contained, but when the ship was destroyed, life support systems in most areas were disabled. The corpses within had suffocated.

Zaka stepped past them unbothered.

"Wait, how close?"

His features set into stone once LB warbled a location. On the other side of that door were the Maw intruders.

His second hilt found its way into his other palm. From the looks of it, this had been some kind of observation room. He could see Coruscant and the true scale of this ship, at least to some degree.

Windowed rooms weren't the best environment in a boarding situation.

He crossed the room in leaps and bounds, positioning just a few steps away from the door.

There was at least squad. Breaching procedure would send a few crossing paths in the confusion of the doorway in typical breach and clears. But this was a dead ship. He held his hilts at the ready, ready to leap through the doorway into the first that stepped through the threshold.

Vel'alari's senatorial hoverpod floated forward when the new Chancellor made his invitation for her to put forth her proposal to the senate. "My esteemed fellow delegates of the senate. Before I begin, I too would like to extend my personal condolences and those of the people of Bilbringi to both the Chancellor Emeritus, and to the people of Coruscant who have suffered the merciless brutality of the Brotherhood. We must band together in such violent and uncertain times, now more than ever."

She was silent for a brief moment, paying respect to those who had fallen before commencing her proposal. "I stand here before the senate today to put forth the proposal for the Alliance Defence Enhancement Act. As the senate is well aware, many worlds lie vulnerable to the relentless offensive of the Brotherhood and their endless raids within Alliance territory. While worlds like my own have invested heavily into building strong Defense Forces, many others do not possess the financial means on their own to build up their own defenses in such a manner. If the Alliance is to endure against the threat of the Brotherhood and their obvious Sith masters, this government MUST provide additional funding to every vulnerable world so we might strengthen ourselves for the coming onslaught. The Brotherhood will not hesitate to strike where we are weak, as their brazen assault on Coruscant, our very capital, has proven. We must prevent such atrocities from happening again at such a bloody scale."

Vel'alari peered out at her fellow senators across the chamber, before continuing her speech. "The Defence Enhancement Act also proposes that the ban on cloning be suspended. I know quite a few senators here had moral issues about the usage of cloned soldiers, but the ban was an ill considered and highly disadvantageous move. I propose, instead of a ban on cloning, that cloned troops be offered a full military pension the same as any none-cloned soldier, in exchange for the bravery that we must ask of them so the Alliance might survive. The fact remains that the Sith are well known to make ready use of cloned soldiers to give themselves a numerical advantage. It is a weakness in our own military policy that we do not make use of such ourselves and instead draft our own sons and daughters to die for us. And in this ever increasingly violent age, we MUST be willing to make the hard choices if the Alliance is to have a proper chance of enduring against it's enemies. The Brotherhood are just the tip of the iceberg...."

Senator of Chandrila

Eboi was a person of peace in a Galaxy that was hungry for war.

Now his principles were once again challenged in the cry for a retaliation, he once again sat on his seat while people argued whether or not they should not only repeal the ban on Cloning but for have every planet to receive funding for planets to defend themselves. While Eboi had no problem with the latter, it was the former that concerned Eboi. Releasing the ban on Cloning was something that he was against, though admittedly there was a clone soldier in Chandrila who excelled at leading the local armies to victory whenever they were attacked. Eboi though was not elected Senator at that time and while he respected Major Zanvic "Ironhide" Dak Zanvic "Ironhide" Dak he did trust the people who created them. Throughout history there were nefarious cloners who would give away clone armies including the infamous Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars hundreds of years ago. It didn't end well for any of them.

Taking the stage, Eboi guided his chair "honorable senators," he started. "First I must say that I understand the need to retaliate against the Brotherhood, however we should be so hasty as to vote for a bill that may contain a lot of..... Pork Barrell inside. I am very concerned about the repel on the ban against Cloning. Might I remind you of the Clone Wars where the Old Republic magically received a Clone Army out of nowhere only to have them be in the new Emperor's pocket? I like the funding as we need as much funding to our local armies as we can. However I cannot bring myself to vote on something that historically ends up in disaster. How can we trust cloners to serve us? I know that the Silver Jedi Order has their own Clone Army which repelled the Bryn but they have the same dubious origins as it was during the Clone War era." If there were separate bills, I will say yes to local funding and no to the Repel Clone ban."

He sighed. "But because the Clone Army is included into one big bill, I cannot bring myself to say yes. Fully aware of the threat ahead," he said. "We must quickly revise it and make it so we can better defend ourselves without blindly trusting others."

Denon.

Never before had Dagon Kaze felt such immense relief to be back to Coruscant's troubled little sister world. The breeze of endless streaks of speeders brush against his raven locks and the stench of diluted tibanna fumes and cooked spice from Baker's Row down below seemed to wash away the hollow numbness in his chest that formed after the Sacking of Coruscant.

For the first time, returning to Denon did feel like a real homecoming. Oddly enough.

Atop one of the thousands of cloudcutters piercing the thick smog Denonians called sky, the Jedi Watchman of this world observes the brimming cityscape he had self-appointed to protect, looking for a specific person. Or half a person, now. Arthur's solid as always and shows him the tracks through the white lens of the funny-looking domino mask - more and more he'd been leaning on tech and gadgets. He blamed Yula for it. Who else?

She would've found him a few seconds later if he hadn't found her first. You set foot on the rooftops, you're in his domain. His dark garbed figure is crouched casually on top of a flashing billboard - one of the trillions of those headache-inducing ads across the world - and just as she waltzes past, Dag's mouth opens.

"You're a hard woman to find, Xan Deesa." he calls out smirking. His reputation with the so-called shadowrunners of Darkwire was mixed. They were criminals, but they also fought against the despotic reach of the corporations running the world. They were Yula's friends and that often led to him sleeping on the couch.

But sometimes there was hardly anyone else to turn to when it came to cracking DireX chips he 'acquired' on Mirial.

Fighting the Sith really made strange bedfellows.

Xan neared the last location she spotted him in, he seemed to like the roofs. She landed on the rooftop with a thud before she calmly walked towards the edge to study her surroundings. Camera feeds popped into her sight as she combed through options and sightings to try and find him, unfortunately he seemed to have ended up in a blind spot-

Xan whirled around and raised her fist, her knuckles opening with one of her many cybernetics as she took aim at the figure. Once she realized who it was, her knuckles closed and she relaxed with a smirk behind her demonic neon mask. "Glad someone at least remembers my name." She quipped with crossed arms. "Even if it's a kriffing yuppie vigilante." Her head tilted slightly as she studied him for a moment. "Had my eye on you for a while now. Rather funny to watch you blundering about like you know the planet."

She crouched down and leapt up high into the air to join him on the billboard. Gracefully she touched down and stood tall on the billboard for a moment, smiling all the way. "How much do you take for granted, Dagon?" She asked casually. Looking back to him, she removed her mask and slipped it into a pocket. She had all the time in the world to ID him and see where else his gaudy outfit made an appearance. "You've been on Denon for a while now. Harassed Darkwire, sort of made progress with the Corpos, still no fashio sense which is a shame." She winked at him as she sat down on the board.

"But in all your life, how much do you take for granted?" She asked casually. Her stomach growled and she glanced down to Baker's Row beneath them. "There's a fantastic burger stand not too far from here. I'm getting a burger. You want one?" She offered him before she leapt off the billboard to fall to the ground.

Using her pistol's ascension cable, she slowed her descent with the billboard's supports and gently landed on the ground.

The Space around Coruscant had transitioned into quite the ship graveyard after the massive battle, with debris aimlessly floating just outside the gravitational field of the planet. It was quite a pain to maneuver through safely, but Valery's ship was luckily quite capable of the tight maneuvers needed to get around the remains of large ships of war, and especially the smaller pieces that were hard to detect against the dark background of space.

"You took quite the beating," Valery said within the cockpit as her orange eyes focused on her destination: the battlecruiser Magnus. Recently signed up with the SIA as a Jedi Shadow, Valery figured following up on this assignment was a good first step to take. She figured the bridge would hold the information she was after, so she brought her ship closer to a large gap that was blown into the command tower.

Normally, a hangar would have been more appropriate, but she wanted to keep her ship away from anything or anybody else who wanted to take a look inside.

Finding a safe enough space to land, she brought the ship down and activated the magnetic locks to secure it. The canopy opened and the woman jumped out, her two lightsabers secured to her belt and the space-suit activated. Her Keshian eyes quickly adjust to the lack of light and she approached a blast door that had gone down to secure atmosphere inside the hallway ahead.

Valery was now several decks below the bridge and walked through the dark hallways, her mind focused on the mission. She was able to drop her space suit just outside the door, and proceeded carefully, her senses sharp. Something told her she wasn't alone.

He huffs a laugh at the remark. Apparently, he'd been attracting all the right eyes, after all. Good. An eyebrow slightly lifts up as she removes the twisted mask off her face and a gleaming grin meets his eyes. For all the 'borg' enhancements, the wide smile did look genuine. Xan's question remained unanswered, it got Dag thinking on things he preferred not to and things he had no time to ruminate over. He can't be slow no more, he can't be late. Coruscant had paid that price.

"More than enough." the Jedi finally responded through an involuntary murmur before slinging down after her, then took off his own domino mask. She, after all, knew exactly who he was.

His black jacket with rolled-up sleeves battered against the rush of air coming down on the street with a feline's grace; there's no need for ropes and cables when the Force's your ally. "Only if you're buyin'." his signature lopsided smirk crosses his face - Hutta Burger's always nice. Maybe Xan knows an equally good and greasy joint.

"You were lookin' for me. Why?" he asks as they meander through the ever-busy, ever-hurrying crowd of commuters.

Naturally the Jedi had to show off with his descent to the ground below. Xan huffed as she lead the way through the crowd around them, her hat and other neons cutting out as she wove through the crowd. "Oh, of course the girl needs to pay!" She teased with a smirk as she glanced to him. "What a way to show a girl a good time." They reached the stand and she ordered two cheese burgers for them. She helped herself to the Duros shopkeeper's drinks cooler and tossed him a can of soda.

"I've been in a rather crappy position for the last year. But that position let me listen in on all kinds of chatter and see all kinds of things. Seeing as you're on Denon after the mess on Coruscant, I don't think it's a coincidence." She paid for their meals and took the two polystyrene containers from the cook before she led him up a stairwell in an alley. They were back on a rooftop and she plopped down on a wall. "If my info is correct, you guys are looking for a ship that belonged to the Maw." She popped a fry into her mouth, practically melting in on herself as she tasted the food. "Oh kark me, that's good. Karking hell, I missed this." She muttered, helping herself to a few more.

She composed herself and looked back to him. "Anyway, I wanted to lend a hand. Figured I could see what a Jedi is doing on Denon. You don't seem like the type who deserves a blade through the throat, so I figured that you could help me out as well." She offered. She fell quiet for a bit as she picked up the burger and melted all over again at the first bite. The Doc did an amazing job, she couldn't deny that for even a moment. "So, choom? How's that sound. I help you and your order with that nav system, maybe those files you guys lost on Coruscant if you haven't gotten them back, and in return you'll owe me a favour. Whaddya say?" She asked with a smug look on her face. The last time she had a Jedi owe her a favour... best not to dwell on that unless she wanted to get ideas.

Returning to Coruscant had been a tough choice. He was closer than ever to home now that he was retired from the Alliance Navy but after the attack on Coruscant it was clear that nowhere was safe from a surprise attack from the Maw. Even still he couldn't bring Ava Cartwright-Pryce Ava Cartwright-Pryce and the twins to Coruscant. Truth be told, he had greater faith in Corellia's defenses than Alliance's on Coruscant and that was his professional opinion. Much like Bilbringi, Corellia had a vast network of defenses and spent a good amount of money on them. It was one of the benefits of being in a star system with five inhabited and bustling planets.

But reneging on the cloning ban?

"I spoke to a clone once," he said without indicating he wished to speak. The pod shuddered as it moved to its speaking position anyways, startling Pryce and nearly causing the freshman senator to spill over the edge. The tall Halcyon commando standing beside him reached out and grabbed his arm, steadying him. Pryce cleared his throat and started again.

"I spoke to a clone once. A clone bred and trained for war. To bring the tyranny of the Core Imperial Confederation across the stars. What he told me was a story not unlike many of our own young men and women who join the military, with one key difference. He didn't have a choice."

He looked pointedly at the Chiss senator.

"For clones that are made for a war, at least they have the option of making new lives after...But what about those made to defend? Will they ever have that chance? We might as well invest in battle droids. Don't get me wrong, I think that our less defended worlds, worlds like Jakku and Jedha who don't have much of a planetary defense force need that aid." The words came out in a rush but they wouldn't stop. "But we're stretched thin as it is. At least we were when I left my post as High Admiral. Obviously, I can't go into very much detail for security reasons, but I can tell you we would be much better off giving systems like Corellia and Kuat and Bilbringi the licenses to fight on behalf of our neighbors. Or whoever can afford to fit their own men and women with the gear they need. I think the Jedi are a great example of a group who functions well alongside the military."

There are a few inviting retorts to her coquettish words and attitude that's he's got in store but the thought of sleeping on the couch kept them at bay. Exploiting charm was a last resort move but... meeting Xan Deesa of all people already was a last-ditch effort and there's nothing more crucial to Dagon Kaze now than figuring out a way to defeat the Sith and their Maw servants. Csilla, Coruscant, and countless other worlds had already paid a price too steep.

It has to end.

He has to end it.

"Maybe." replies Dag after swallowing a piece of the burger. The taste snaps his eyes wide open for a moment - hell, synth-meat or not, this tastes almost as good as Hutta burger. Reluctantly, he sets it aside on top of an AC unit he'd been leaning on, dusts off his hands, and crouches down beside her, "Depends on the favor."

Glancing down at her fries disappearing, he force pulled his own and offers them as if they were a pack of cigs, "Want mine?" wasn't his cheat day today, right? Arthur would've mentioned it.

Walking through the dark hallways of the drifting Battlecruiser, Valery sensed that others were somewhere within the damaged hull as well. She couldn't exactly tell who they were, though, but her focus was quickly grabbed by one presence in particular that stood out. It was nearby, and its signature was tainted by the Dark Side, although it didn't feel to be in touch with it too greatly. She had been around Sithspawn enough to know what this meant.
Taking a left turn, Valery stepped into a more narrow hallway that was alongside one of many power generators onboard the behemoth of a ship. But this is where she spotted it - a massive cloaked figure that was nearly 10 feet tall. It was wielding an enormous Vibro-halberd and seemed to be guarding something. Likely the path to the bridge.
This felt rather strange to her. Why is it still standing guard? she wondered. It wasn't a machine but it still appeared as if it was programmed to carry out this task it was given, despite the ship not being operational. For a moment, she considered taking an alternative route. It wasn't going to survive out here anyway. But then she remembered all the other presences she felt. She couldn't risk other SIA agents running into this thing unprepared.
There wasn't much more time for her to think though, it had already spotted her.

With great momentum, the giant stormed towards her and without exchanging any words or sounds, the halberd came for her with a powerful overhead swing. Valery blinked and jumped into action, evading the strike with a Force-assisted leap towards the wall to her left. The purple plasma of her lightsaber ignited immediately, just in time to bat aside a piercing strike that followed.
The beast was big and strong and threw several more powerful attacks her way, but she was agile and fast. With hops between the walls, ducking and rolling, she was able to evade the strikes. She hadn't retaliated yet because, in this lethal dance, she was analyzing the patterns in his attacks.
Luring him closer to one of the walls, Valery finally had him where she wanted him. As she dashed by, another horizontal swing was sent to intercept and destroy her, but due to his proximity to the wall, the weapon cut into it mid-swing and was stopped. As powerful as it was, it lacked the intelligence to adjust to this environment, and it was wielding a rather large weapon for this particular hallway.
In response, Valery jumped into the air, tucked in, and transitioned into a backflip to get behind the giant in what seemed like the blink of an eye. A purple flash followed, and the figure's body dropped, separated from its head. Valery landed with her usual elegance and returned the lightsaber to her belt. A hand went up through her long hair, and she'd stare down at the body for just a moment.
"I hope there aren't more of your kind out there."
She took a deep breath and carried on towards the bridge.
