Return the Favour

”In the Galaxy, new alliances are constantly forging and disintegrating among the flames of war. This is the order of life. A new dawn dawned on the Eternal Empire, we have had to face many difficulties in recent months, the coup attempt of the traitorous soldiers, the disappearance and death of the Emperor. But the Empire is strong and has never been as stable as it is now, and this is due in part to our allies.

That’s why we’re going to help them in their darkest hours! It is possible, and even certain, that we are present in the Galaxy in much smaller numbers than the great nations, yet we are cohesive, the strength lies in the unity that we can always count on each other, on our comrades. And everyone may be in power over us, but that makes us stand still and clings to victory better than anyone!

Today, the Eternal Empire is going to war again!

We have successfully settled diplomatic relations with the Sith Empire in recent months, and while we cannot go to war against the NIO led by Irveric Tavlar Irveric Tavlar under the treaty, we can protect our friends. The Galactic Alliance has also attacked the Sith Empire, and we can no longer leave this manoeuvre without a word, so we will reciprocate the kindness of the Galactic Alliance and strike at them where they will remember. They learn that all their political actions have consequences.

Because strength lies in unity, I am confident that together we can win our aspirations with victory and protect our allies from the two-front war.

Long live the Empire!”

Lady Ingrid L’lerim, Eternal Empress of the Eternal Empire

A number of events led to this attack. All this could never have happened if Kainan Wolfe Kainan Wolfe had not disappeared and had not sacrificed her life for the new Empress. The previous emperor started a war against the Sith Empire, the new Empress made peace and formed an alliance again. The two Eternal. Eternal Empire and the Sith Eternal. And in this war, they joined their allies, which is why they attacked the Galactic Alliance because they attacked the Sith.

The target was none other than Byss. This place was of interest to the Eternal Empire in several ways, on the one hand the Eclipse Rebellion also came here to translate the table, which they hope hides secrets about the Eternal Empire. They arrived a few days before the Eternal Empire, they contacted GA to ask for their help. The enemy of my enemy with a slogan.

The two sides spent days negotiating as they do not trust each other. All this lasted until the fleet of the Eternal Empire and its allies arrived. The Black Sun, the Zweihander Union, and the Sith Empire were also here with them.

Once they entered the system, they could immediately feel the effects of the planet’s Nexus. A Nexus; it was not well known, but the Eternal Empire and the Empress chose this world precisely because of the Nexus. If they already “had to” attack, they had to make a decision. The leaders of the Wardens of the Shroud put pressure on the Empress that their plans were not progressing, so the woman offered the Byss’ Nexus to the Lord Commanders. Even if they can’t destroy the Force itself yet, the Nexus is a great starting point to at least silence them for a while.

The story begins here, meaning it continues rather that the invasion units reached the ground at the Capital and near the Force Nexus.

dRUm20K.png

Objectives

Objective 1.: Assault of the capital's industrial area
td3xnjG.png
Attack on the industrial district of the capital, located in the outer districts. The Eternal Empire does not aim to attack the civilian population, but rather seeks to attack industrial and military facilities. Invasion units land near the city and try to inflict as much damage as possible. It soon becomes clear that it is not the occupation of the planet that is the goal, but the damage to make restoration as expensive as possible. At the same time as the soldiers, Blackwatch agents and saboteurs will set off to neutralize security / defence systems and possibly shut down the power grid.
The invasion begins when EE units have already landed with the dropships. The Black Sun’s members and mercenaries helped the assault, led by Broka the Hutt Broka the Hutt ’s men.

Objective 2.: Where the Nexus rules
Wk45UHq.png
The Eclipse Rebellion Objective: They arrived a few days before the Eternal Empire fleet. They originally arrived to translate the tablet they found before, which hides the secrets of the Eternal Empire. However, the locals guard the Nexus so they didn’t get there. My enemy’s enemy is a situation where GA has been warned that the Eternal Empire is coming so they can prepare, however, this was not the equivalent of being able to get to the Nexus. The race starts with the Loyalists. And they can try to clean up the Dark Side Nexus, which has an effect on the entire Solar System.
Loyalist and Allies: In addition, the Eternal Empire and its allies are sending more forces into this area and this assault is being led by the new Empress Ingrid L’lerim. It is clear to outside and inside observers that they and the Sith want to get the Nexus and take control of it, only the Empress and the few initiated Warden know that they really want to destroy it. The open plans of the Eternal Empire are as follows, if they fail to get the planet and the Nexus, they must destroy it. Destroy it rather than GA or anyone else turn it back to the Light Side. If they can’t get it, then no one should own it.

Objective 3.: Heavenly fight
VfMZmPe.png
Since GA also has a smaller fleet around the planet especially to know that EE is coming, the Eternal Empire will do its best to get through them and try to bomb the surface. From space, only industrial and military facilities are attacked, areas where there are no civilians or very few people. And they try to take the enemy fleet off the sky.

Ingrid could still hear her own voice on the dropship's announcer as they landed on the planet near the Nexus. Her first great war action as Empress. The best possible introduction as the leader of a military dictatorship. Outwardly, it might have seemed that there was no clearer reason for them to attack now. In the background, however, this was much more complicated. This is because the red-haired woman was put under pressure not only from one side, but also from more than one. Which did not ease her situation. She was still playing a very dangerous game that she could easily fall into, as was the Eternal Empire.

It was none other than the legacy of the late emperor, Kainan Wolfe Kainan Wolfe .

The former emperor placed not only Ingrid, but the entire Eternal Empire in a rather delicate and hopeless situation. Ingrid was straighter than the man. That is why she stood by their old allies, the Sith Empire. With whom they have now actually formed the Eternal Alliance. The Eternal Empire and the Sith Eternal. Since they were allies, she had to attack. The woman had to choose, which was not easy. Or yet? It was all a matter of point of view.

The Galactic Alliance or the New Imperial Order.

They had a non-aggression treaty with the NIO, if she kicked it up and attacked them, though the SJC and the CIS would have fought on their side, along with the TSE, it would have become exactly the same as the Emperor. The man was despised throughout the galaxy; for whom everyone thought the Eternal Empire was unreliable. A nation whose Emperor had betrayed his old ally just because a new, stronger party had entered the galactic dance floor. Ingrid wasn't like that, she was a tradition keeper, old values were important to her. That is why she returned to the Sith Empire.

Thus remained the GA, who had recently attacked the TSE, which was the root cause of the war. Return the favour so that they can back down and not continue the war. There was nothing personal about it, they had to do it for the Sith Empire. And it was at this point that the Wardens of the Shroud also came to the fore, who also put pressure on the Empress, as if the invasion had not been enough on its own.

Tacitus’ will, the Eternal Curse, the Legacy of Kainan Wolfe Kainan Wolfe .

According to Lord Commanders, the new Empress did not do her best to do Tacitus' will and is moving too slowly to destroy the Force. The burden she never wanted, just as she didn’t want to be an Empress. She was happiest when she was a simple agent. Ingrid had no desire for power, nor for a task that she thought would kill the entire galaxy. The Lord Commanders disagreed with her, which was no longer good for them, because the woman's word had decided.

The unattainable dream, the impending end.

When she had to choose the planet, she chose the Byss. If they could no longer get the full Force, she gave the Lord Commanders a Force Nexus. They had to do what they wanted with this. She was alone, neither her husband, Tubrok Ragal, nor her fiancé, AMCO AMCO , were here. She was partly happy, she didn't have to worry about her men, but on the other hand, both men's experiences would have come in handy. Tubrok's on the battlefield, Adrian's on the Nexus. She solves it the way she knows, she has always been famous for her ability to improvise.

The eternal hunger that Onrai Onrai condemned her to.

She could feel the bang when the dropship landed, the door opened, she had felt the Nexus ever since they entered the system. The Empress felt its call and hunger, but suppressed it, she was great at it. One thing is certain, Ingrid wanted to stay on her own, not yielding to the Force or what she had become on Endor. These could not have influenced her. The red-haired woman opened her eyes, saw the soldiers and the Wardens walking towards the castle where they had to go. She also got out of the dropship and followed them.

She just hoped this attack would be enough to help their allies.

Byss. Once the throneworld of Palpatine's Dark Empire, and now the target of aggression from the Eternal Empire. A ripe opportunity for Grand Moff Vel'alari and her fleet to prove their worth to the Galactic Alliance and speed the entrance of the Bilbringi Imperial Remnant into their core domain. Her sizeable Imperial fleet had formed a defensive blockade above the planet alongside that of Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen , forming a durable bulwark with which to withstand the coming Eternal Imperial attack.

Battle was soon joined, however, as the Remnant fleet exchanged volleys of turbolaser fire with the Eternal Imperial vessels. Vast squadrons of TIE Fighters and Interceptors were unleashed from the hangar bays of the Remnant's Star Destroyers and carrier vessels, engaging in a brutal dogfight with the enemy. Vel'alari watched the battle unfold from the bridge of her flagship, the Secutor-class Star Destroyer "Hand of Thrawn".

She turned, transmitting via the bridge's holocommunication device to Marlon aboard his flagship. "The Eternal Imperials have arrived with a significant invasion fleet. We cannot allow them to get their bombers past our blockade. I'm keeping my more advanced fighters back in reserve for the moment, incase they break through the lines...."

TASK FORCE XESH
MORIDIN’S CITADEL | NEXUS DUTY

WAY DOWN

The Rebels had sworn themselves against the eternity of the false empire. So much so, that they’d dared to cross into Alliance space and warn the government of the impending attack –– a retaliation for The Alliance’s audacity for attacking The Sith Empire.

Good. All the rats were gathering together for extermination.

While the jury was still out on Maijan’s acceptance to heaven or hell, her altruistic sense prevailed when finance wasn’t a factor. The Alliance, for all their misgivings, was starting to grow on her. The only thing that bothered her about working for them was the nano-bomb ticking away in the sinews of her neck.

And in that sense, the Eclipse Rebellion was apparently as untrustworthy as the persons who composed Task Force Xesh. On their benefit, they’d been given access to the communication required to warn the Alliance, and Maijan assumed some sort of appreciative transaction had taken place, but they had not been given access to the nexus ahead of time. They’d been following some sort of tablet, the script pointing them to this miasmic spread of darkness.

Maijan chewed the inside of her cheek, looking at the whirling vergence of darkness ahead of them. It was invisible to the naked eye, but the Current was consumed by it. Normally pearlescent and pure, she could see it spiralling in a shadow that stained and darkened it. Making it heavy and dangerous.

They’d had to cross marshes that seemed to spread for eternity and abandoned, rotting roast to get to this vantage point, and she’d got muck all up her legs. Presently, she was perched on the crumbling walls of the citadel, catching her breath after the speeder journey to the ruins.

The fortress’ intentions pulsed, and Maijan felt herself recoiling in response. The Current felt blocked here, not able to penetrate and move with the fluidity she was used to controlling.

“This darkness,” Maijan started and looked over to her multi-horned companion, and reached down to scratch some caked mud off the ankle of her boots. “-Forra J dark Jey'daii Do you draw strength from it?” Part of their defensive team were composed of Jedi, and through observation alone, the marble-skinned woman was wary of their ability to actualize the conversion of the nexus. It was overpowering being this near, and she was for all intents a neutral party in The Force. Those who were baptized in its righteousness…. It felt strenuous to be partnered with them and if she’d been able to barter a paycheque for this, she doubted The Alliance would be able to afford it.

She pointed with her chin toward the Jedi, the golden parts of her flesh managing to glint in the murky, waning daylight.
“Because they’re going to need it.”

“Bella, you’ve been assigned a BB unit.”

The voice of the lead technician cut through the air like a hot knife through butter, his words penetrating her peace in a manner that brought the diminutive Togruta to a pause, before turning around to face the man who had spoken them, confusion evident in her expression.

“What?”

“A BB unit. You’ve been assigned one and a new craft.” The technician replied, before glancing back down at the datapad in his palm, slender, grease-stained fingers tapping on the screen in a seemingly indifferent manner.

“Wait, a BB unit? Are you serious? Those are like...a thousand years old.” Bella answered flatly, placing her hands on her hips in disbelief as she attempted to reconcile the new orders. “And uhh...the Ballerina has no slot for an astromech.”

“That’s why you’ve been assigned a new craft, as well, Bella.” The technician repeated with a shrug, his eyes glancing up from the datapad as he set the device on a nearby tool locker, seemingly unfazed by the implications of new orders delivered only minutes before their arrival in a hostile system, in a hangar that was already busy. “Follow me.”

“But, hold on, what about my Ballerina?” Bella said, following after the man as he walked across the busy hangar bay.

“It’s not on the Dancer, otherwise you would be flying it. Since they couldn’t just have an ace pilot like you sitting around, they told us to figure something out to get you in a cockpit. This is our solution.” The man began as the pair moved past one of the new Forsaken interceptors as it was being worked on by a team of technicians. “However, I will say that the Ballerina is a kind of…spiritual successor to it.”

“And what is it?”

“A Delta-7B.” He stated, just as the pair rounded the corner, the tiny, yet ancient fighter and its designated BB unit coming into view as a thoroughly perplexed expression colored Bella’s magenta features.

The droid, who had been told to remain by the ship until further orders, spotted the technician he'd seen-- and the pilot he had been assigned to. The BB unit's photoreceptors narrow, studying the new figure with heightened lenses. The droid was taken aback somewhat; he hadn't seen a Togruta in person before.

Tired of waiting around, BB-610 begins rolling towards her, a low whirr as he closes the distance between them. Soon enough, he's at her feet, and the droid's flat head reclines as to look up at her. The Togruta's magenta clashes beautifully against his cyan plating.

' You're my partner, ' he beeps in binary, and it sounds... surprised. Disbelief, almost. ' You will not be disappointed. I was designed with high-class First Order technology. I have served the Agents of Chaos before. '

A tall, slender technician inches closer, eyeing the droid, before letting his gaze meet Bella's. "Yes... Er, this BB unit was discovered by Miss deWinter." He'd turn his nose up, lips curling with a bit of disgust as he focuses on the astromech once more. "The droid is... prone to malfunctioning, I thought you'd best know that now. It seems that its First Order programming kicks in every now and then, regardless of how much tweaking our engineers have done to it."

The comment gets BB-610's attention, and his head swirls up to glance at the technician. His optic widens, and the anxiety settles in once more. His partner wouldn't mind the malfunctions, would she...?

"Nonetheless, this droid is the most technologically advanced and capable one we've got access to."

Bella was quiet as a stone.

She glanced down as the BB unit rolled towards her, the thing’s bulbous photoreceptor staring up at her as she took in the droid, bearing a look of marked distaste across her features.

“Prone to malfunctioning? Then umm...why didn’t you just...mind wipe it.” Bella answered, ignoring the BB unit’s greeting as if the droid was not even there, while speaking to the pair of technicians as if she were stating the obvious. “Besides, I’ve never flown with one of these things before. I can do just fine without.” She added in a slightly arrogant tone.

“I promise, you won’t be disappointed, Bella.” The lead technician replied. “This droid is very experienced and the Delta-7B has just seen extensive refits to modernize it. You’ll find that the fighter handles almost as well as the Ballerina.”

To that, Bella rolled her eyes.

“That said, I think it might be polite for you to introduce yourself to him.” The technician added with a wink. “I anticipate that you two will be working together more in the future.”

At the mere mention of a memory wipe, the astromech would physically recoil, a worried whirr leaving his vocal processor. deWinter had promised the droid’s memories would be left intact; the subject being a particularly touchy one given his past experiences with both the First Order and the Resistance.

As if on cue- “We’ve been… instructed to not wipe its memories unless absolutely necessary. Doing so- and I quote- ‘gets rid of the charm and personality of him’.” The other technician turns away, arms behind his back. “I’ll let you get to it. Our odds shoot up exponentially if the two of you cooperate.” And with that, he’d walked off.

Now left alone with the Togruta, BB-610’s head twirls once more to readjust his optic and focus on her. First impressions were everything, and the droid certainly wasn’t impressed. The woman hadn’t even acknowledged he was there- icing on the cake of belittling him right before him.

‘ I would like to remind you - astromechs are designed for high-maintenance repairs and assistance regarding starships. I do not doubt your abilities, but I am specifically built to calculate hyperdrives in mere seconds, and regulate the ship’s behaviors while you work. ‘

The anxiety residing within the droid was immeasurable, his beeps low and uncertain. Despite the worries, however, he would try to remain polite - the spherical body rolling back to rotate the appropriate tool bay-disk in front of Bella, before a compartment would slide open and the astromech’s data probe would come out.

The gesture of a handshake.

‘ I am BB-610. I won’t let you down. ‘

As the two technicians departed, Bella gave a resigned sigh, glancing down at the droid as it whistled and chirped at her in binary, a communication system which she only understood due to the flash training she had underwent before she emerged from her growth tube, lending her a strong instinctual knowledge of the language. With a deep breath, Bella slipped her helmet over her montrals, letting it seal around her lekku as the BB unit extended its data probe in what she reasoned was a gesture of understanding.

Whatever... Bella groaned, shaking her head at the droid as she moved to look over the Delta-7B, her eyes taking in the angular lines of the craft as she did.

“We don’t have much time.” The diminutive Togruta said more to herself than to the droid. Having never flown a Delta-7B before, Bella knew that learning the machine would be an on the fly experience. Fortunately, even from outside, she could already tell that the controls were similar in layout to the Ballerina. It would only be a matter of telling the onboard computer or the astromech to match the control scheme from the Ballerina to the Delta-7B.

At the shameless dismissal of the droid’s rapidly fleeting politeness, BB-610 would retract his data probe, his optic narrowing as he watches his partner conceal her face within her helmet. Head inching down to stare at the ground with a sad whistle, there’s a brief click as the astromech’s body jolts forth-- his optic a bright red.

BB-610’s body rolls forward, faster than usual, as it slams into the back of Bella’s legs, before a disk opens up to reveal his electro-shock prod. With a bright blue crackle, the Togruta feels a zap of electricity up her thigh.

‘ YOU TEST MY PATIENCE. I AM MORE EXPERIENCED WITH THIS SHIP THAN YOU. IF YOU INSIST ON DISMISSING MY CAPABILITIES, WE WILL BOTH BE KILLED AND OUR MISSION DEEMED A FAILURE. ‘

And with that, the prod is retracted, and BB-610 sends his grapple hooks out to attach to the side of the Delta-7B, proceeding to swing himself up and land inside the astromech slot with a thud. His optic returns to his normal cyan, and he looks at Bella as if nothing had happened.

Adron turned from the viewport as he took hold of his helmet, giving the piece one final inspection before slowly sliding it down over the crown of his head. He adjusted his gauntlets silently, waiting for the inevitable pain that came from this horrible excuse of a suit. His gauntlets held a number of buttons that came to life as they were hooked into the main suit's grid. The HUD came alive in a golden shine, slowly overlaying the interior of the man's ship.

"Ok, we're online in three...two..." He could not even manage to say one. The suit injected a number of micro-needles into his skin, piercing into his body at different points. The bacta-injectors, for all their worth, were the most hated part of the suit. Adron's knee faltered and he was forced to the ground. He exhaled, the filtration system in his helmet activating as he did, causing a soft hum to echo in his ears. This was one of the reasons the man expressly hated attachment to technology. He righted himself before pulling the cloak over his shoulder and turning back to the cockpit. He settled into the pilot's chair as his HUD beeped back at him. The ship had been traveling through Hyperspace, but in the next moment it gave an even shift as it reverted back to real space.

Adron crossed his hands over his chest before tapping into the console. A single transmission pinged from his comm device, allowing a single person, Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim to know he was present in the system. After that he checked the stealth systems on his starship before taking hold of the controls.

He exhaled, allowing himself to tap into the deepest reaches of the Force and open his sight to exactly what he was hoping to see. He could feel the presence. The boy was young, yet he had an impression in the Force just like his father. As the Sith Lord's eyes came open, he knew Caedyn Arenais was on this planet and he would take the boy.

That was his only true mission.

A Fleet of 11 Ships laid in orbit of Byss watching as the First Eternal Imperial Forces arrived and began their invaison. The Fleet along with the Planet's Orbital Defense Network watched as the First Wave of Troop Transports simply passed by and began landing in the Capital. Sitting down in a a Chair located in the front of the Bridge of the Fleet's Flagship was a Man , wearing a Crimson Uniform bearing the insignia plaque of a High Moff. That man was none other then the Lord-Imperator of Byss , Marlon Sularen.

Ever since he was dishonorably discharged from the New Imperial Order , Sularen had been plotting in the shadows and seeking a way to regain their favor and make an official resurgence in the Core Worlds. But his plans of rejoining the New Imperials at Dantooine were ended prematurely when news reached him of an impending attack on his Throne World of Byss. The World he had secured control over after executing a secret coup and rigging the following elections in his favor , the World that now served as the centerpiece of his plans to regain prominence in the Galaxy after nearly 4 years of failure after failure.

The Invaders in question were the Eternal Empire , the very nation the Zweihander Union had integrated itself into upon it's collapse in Chiss Space. Now that very nation was at his doorstep , making moves to invade his world , damage his infrastructure and leave Byss in ruins and Sularen knew it well this act had the name Zweihander Union written all over it , and he would make that poor-excuse for an Empire pay for what they have done to him over the past 2 Years. But now the priority was here , to defend his World from a Large Hostile Force from the Unknown Regions.

While his Fleet had allowed the initial wave of Eternal Imperials to land , Sularen had intended to utilize it as a trap. The
Captain of the Predator soon came up to the Lord-Imperator and informed him of the situation. "Sir the initial Wave of Eternal Imperial Forces have landed at the Capital." the Captain said. "Good , contact Kenth Berik Kenth Berik and tell him to initiate the trap and activate the Planetary Shields and then proceed to mobilize our Surface Army of Special Security Forces to confront them. I won't tolerate any damage done to our infrastructure." the Lord-Imperator Said.

The Captain nodded and then turned around to order his men to begin initiating the trap. Then the Lord-Imperator gave additional orders. "Also Captain ," he began "Have Gauntlet 1 to 6 open fire on any Hostile Warship that enters the system. I want all of them destroyed before they can even approach our forces." The Captain simply replied with "As you wish my Lord" and simply moved forth to relay Sularen's New orders to the Gauntlet Stations who then began preparing their Offensive Weapons ready to annihilate anything Non-Galactic Alliance or Association related that entered the system.

Thus , the Battle for Byss had begun as Sularen's Fleet along with those of his Bilbringi Allies patiently waited behind the Line of Gauntlet Stations , the Stations ready to destroy any hostile ship that came into sight and the fleet's behind them ready to overwhelm their enemies with waves of Starfighters. Sularen would not allow any force to undermine his authority here on Byss and if they prevailed here , he would make sure the Eternal Empire or the Zweihander Union would not rest after the events here on Byss. Sularen's will was undeinable and he would demonstrate that today here on Byss. This was going to be the beginning of a long struggle , Sularen thought , but he smiled upon thinking of that as he was going to make sure that this would be the bloodiest battle fought by the Eternal Imperials to date.

Byss // The Nexus @ Moridin's Citadel // Task Force Xesh // Mesh Zetnu with 1x Bronze Lightsaber, 1 REC/STA-02 Advanced Shocktrooper Armour; Series Two, 1 Dark Khaki Over Cloak, satchel with some food and water.

Mesh was leaning against a crumbling wall of the citadel looking passively at the Dark Force Nexus before him. It pulsed with the power of the dark side. It was most intriguing. Mesh was certain this place had once belonged to a powerful Sith. The architecture itself and the seclusion of the Keep were fairly dead giveaways and Mesh had begun feeling and channeling the Dark Side forces as soon as he had first sighted the Citadel. Now he examined the inside of the Keep itself as well as the massive nexus that was drawing in the force energy from around it. Certainly bending the will of the force if not consuming it. Fascinating. As Mesh calmed his mind and his own force energies attempting to shield himself from the power of the nexus he noticed a soft rumbling in the ground. He felt it again through the force.

The Alliance and the Rebellion against the Eternal Empire had informed this Task Force he was assigned to that there may be an incoming incursion from the Eternal Empire. It seemed their intelligence was right for once. Landing ships. The rumble in the ground Mesh had felt. The nexus and its very interesting power may have to wait for a moment. It seemed they had company. He was muddy and tired draining much of his energy to shield his own presence from the Nexus that existed here while he explored it. He very much did not want to deal with visitors. He hardly wanted to deal with the rebels and other miscellaneous characters who had been brought together to form this Task Force. For a moment he thought of perhaps not saying anything. They would surely notice themselves and have time to prepare. He could stay here against this wall and continue to explore this power before him. It was intoxicating.

He shook his head abruptly. So it does know I am here. He reached out with the force towards the nexus attempting to communicate with whatever it was that was occupying this space. Why are you here? Why do you stay in this place? Why do the Empress and her minions come for you? He then refocused his energy and drew himself together. It had heard him of that he was sure. For the moment Mesh had another issue to deal with and that occupied his time. He pulled himself off from the wall with some effort dropping his over cloak behind as he did so and ensuring his lightsaber was on its clip. Now he moved towards his companions.

"Dropships have landed. I sensed them through the ground. They must not be using any suppressors on their landing sites it was quite the rumble. Either way, we should prepare ourselves for some kind of confrontation. This place cannot fall outside the hands of the New Jedi Order. It is dangerous and powerful. The Jedi must study it."

Mesh glanced up towards Maijan Paisea Maijan Paisea the coloration in her skin was rather intriguing and he was not sure he had ever seen a being with quite the same appearance. She was by his judgment rather dangerous. He could feel her affinity in the force and knew she had the experience that was beyond his. Certainly, there would be some form of a plan for this. Intelligence had warned them that an incursion was likely.

Below was an expanse of blocky architecture and snaking pipelines, the target of her descent as she free fell from the Eternal Empire transport. It was sorely, painfully ironic. The engineer herself was on route to aid in the dismantling of that which she worshipped: Industry. Progress. It was her god of gods, that which she had given so much of her life to establish and promote. But within the Galactic Alliance's hands it was a misused gift of advancement. They threw their manpower at the Sith Empire, taking up precious time and resource from both sides, and ignored that which no longer loomed in the southern reaches but consumed hourly. And thus she was here, now, not to bring bodily harm but force the Galactic Alliance to look inward and reassess. Maybe then they would settle and see what mattered.

Her conviction to be rid of the Bryn was all that brought her here, yet as the explosive devices rattled against her chest the thought of what she came to do gutted her. It was for the galaxy's wellbeing, the whole, not the individual. She had to refresh the mantra in her mind constantly to stave off the anxiety for the mission below. The light in her helmet's hud blinked, warning that she'd hit the correct altitude and it was time to engage the jetpack. She had cast one more lingering stare at the industrial sector before steeling herself, then slammed the the jetpack trigger. Twin blue flames curbed her plummet then leveled her path, moving her into the section that was quickly filling with the clatter of oncoming forces. Cara slung the jetpack from her shoulders and into her hands. The metal of its outer shell warped then shimmered, seeming to liquify yet remain solid as it coiled onto the ground then snake around Cara's right boot. The mass of chrome groaned as it solidified into a plated greave, and having what she needed Cara threw aside the jetpack's wire frame and empty innards.

The digits of her hand scraped across the concrete sides of one building as she strode past, her farewell to what was built here. It was too late to make reason with the Galactic Alliance and for that she was disappointed and frustrated. But now was not the time to dwell on mistakes. Deft fingers had already begun rigging the first incendiary device out of ten. Catching the light, a bronzium inlay of the letter dorn graced the top of Cara's left hand as she worked, the letter matching the emblems printed on the explosive's packaging. The bombs were terrifying in their power, and even more terrible in the hands of the one who had designed them.

Industry. It was what kept the regulars marching and the starships flying, he knew. It was the cornerstone of a well-developed military and the civilian sector it protected, he had been told. It was utterly essential, as had been repeatedly stressed by different people at different times.

That did not make it any less boring.

There was no fear in cogs, no blood, no chaos. Not unless one knew the strange art of speaking to machine-minds as they were men, but that was beyond him. He might have thought it fiction, had he not seen Sylvia Virtos Sylvia Virtos do it on more than one occasion. He idly wondered if she yet lived.

Elsewhere troops were landing, eager to seize and destroy. They were the hammer, but he was a scalpel... albeit an exceptionally bloody scalpel. Amber eyes staring down at the evacuating workers, a smile that seemed more like an animalistic snarl made its way onto his features.

They were not supposed to hurt noncombatants - but no one said anything about them hurting each other.

A slender tendril of noxious smoke slid forth from his mouth, whispers of madness followed in its wake.

Red lights flooded the cabin of the
ST-149 as it descended below the atmosphere of Byss. They had been able to narrowly slip under the Imperial Remnant and Byss security blockade. Others had slipped underneath the blockade's grasp, others were not so fortunate. Ben stared through the viewports as yet another Eternal Empire dropship was torn to pieces by TIE fighters.

With him was a combination of former Zweihander Union soldiers and elite Eternal Empire operatives, the best of the best. The integration of Union assets into the Empire had gone quite smoothly with each nation learning from the other. As soon as the shuttle touched down, the ramp lowered and the passengers disembarked taking defensive positions around the shuttle. Last to step out was the Blackwatch director himself, Ben quickly surveyed the landscape before nodding satisfactorily and motioned to an abandoned building nearest to them.

Harsh wind was picking up slightly obscuring the director's vision of the area. He knew there were other Eternal Operatives as well as Black Sun mercenaries and Sith Empire allies, however he wouldn't be able to reach out to them and coordinate for fear of the enemy tapping in to their communications feed. Plus the harsh weather didn't help. Thankfully, he had brought two PSI corps members who were able to communicate with each other telepathically should Ben split the group in two.

Some time before the attack

The Holoscreen flickered, showing the recording of the emergency senate meeting. The SIA had sent it to the Corellian, explaining the entire reason she was sent to Byss. She listened and shook her head; when she had arrived, she was under the assumption she was helping an old colleague. Instead, they had another mission for her. One that would continue to grow the annoyance in the Corellian about the NJO and the Alliance government.

The video finished, and Allyson looked at the datapad. The document files that were appearing as she scrolled through were heavily blacked out and left only what she was supposed to do and how she was supposed to do it. Assassination missions weren't something that came too lightly from the government. After reading, the datapad suddenly began to smoke, and its contents were heavily damaged. Unlucky for the SIA, their top agent was a technomancer. She extracted the contents with care and loaded them to her own tablet for safekeeping.

Assassinations weren't at the top of her list of tasks the Corellian liked getting assigned, and it seemed like they were becoming more frequent. With the disruption among the Jedi, things were getting nastier. Allyson thought she was done with this sort of work. After the failed attempt on the Emperor's life, she assumed they'd pass her over for this work. Instead, here she was with the order to assassinate the Imperator of this planet. Guess no one was safe. Crossing her arms, she decided she hated this mission and decided to work on another case while on Byss - one that would actually help people instead of the government.

Shuffling the different tablets on her makeshift desk, the Corellian read up on the murder case that should have been an open and shut case in a sense that it is evident as to who was the killer. Instead, she started to uncover a relentless circle of drugs and other unsightly things happening in the Byss underground with the investigation. Assassinating the Imperator sounded like an even worse idea now. Even if he's deeply unliked by the government, killing an official would only send the planet into a downward spiral. Shaking her head, Allyson realized that she couldn't deal with this alone.

There was a first time for everything; the Corellian was never the first to admit she ever needed help. Allyson quickly thought of one person, one that would cost her more than an arm and a leg. Either way, explaining why Seniya Nehir needed to be hired was an easy thing - getting her here was a whole other story.

Hopefully, paying whatever she requested would be reasonable enough.

The sound of the land speeder roared over the sound of dropships coming into the atmosphere. It seemed the Senate was right with their call on the invasion of the Eternal Empire. Allyson would be lying that she was surprised that the EE had decided to retaliate. She never figured the Eternal Empire to be anything but a puppet for the Sith. Guess the new Empress was something different, though she didn't expect anything less from Ingrid.

As the speeder burned through the evacuated city streets, Allyson looked at the horizon and wondered how much the Eternal Empire was sending to Byss. Either this was going to be a full occupation of the planet's capital or just utter destruction. She didn't like it and had a bad feeling about all of this. Their speed picked up, and the Corellian fed the craft the Force making its engine accelerate past what it comfortably wanted to. She took the next turn sharply, already the city was becoming filled with whatever the dropships were delivering.

"UH!" Allyson called out to her companion, Seniya, over the noise of the engine and the now blaster fire that was echoing behind them. "So, how was your trip?" The Corellian smirked and nodded towards the three speeders that were chasing them, "Mind taking care of them? My hands are a bit full right now! Shi- hold on!" The speeder whipped around another corner, nearly becoming vertical. Nodding towards the glove compartment, "There's an extra blaster in there and some grenades or whatever the SIA decided to pack."

She could no longer deny the BB unit’s passion.

The diminutive Togruta gave a high-pitched squeal when the droid slammed into the back of her legs and tazed her, the grotesque assault on her person causing her features to turn an even richer shade of pink than they already were in response to her embarrassment. Enraged, she attempted to respond with a kick, baring her sharp Togruta fangs at the droid in a fiery display, which was ultimately an empty threat as her teeth were really only able to cut through meat and as such represented no real threat to the BB unit and its durasteel exterior.

Giving a frustrated groan, Bella slinked into the cockpit of the interceptor, not wanting anyone to see her face after the humiliating display. Then, with a resigned sigh, she began to run through the pre-flight checklist, slender fingers moving deftly across the various switches and buttons in the unfamiliar cockpit as the hangar bay began to surge with activity, technicians and pilots making last-minute adjustments to their machines before flying into the void.

“You okay, Sapphire Seven? That BB unit looks like it got you pretty good.” The voice of mission control came over the comms, his words taking on a sarcastic, yet playful tone. For the sake of her wounded pride, Bella did not respond, creating a few moments of awkward silence in the channel as she worked through the agenda of system checks, diagnostics, and other tasks in her pre-flight checklist.

“Well, uhh...good hunting. We’ll let you know when you’re clear for launch, Sapphire Seven. Control out.”

A deep breath escaped from her lips as she finished, flicking a finger over one last switch before leaning back in the surprisingly comfortable acceleration couch and injecting a stim shot into her neck.

“Let me know when everything is clear on your end, uhhh...BB.” Bella said to the droid with more than a bit of unease in her voice. “We should be getting the order to launch soon.”

“Uhh...godspeed, or whatever you droids like to say.”
She added, her gaze shifting awkwardly across her holographic displays in a conscious effort to avoid making eye contact with the droid’s spherical photoreceptor.

Prior To The Battle
It had been many years, well over a decade, since he had set his eyes upon the decrepit silhouette of Moridin's Citadel against the distant horizon. Back then, the One Sith held dominion over the center of the galaxy, and it was the Republic and Jedi who were pushed out towards the galactic edges. Now the Jedi held sway over the Core Worlds, including the mysteries of the Deep Core.
But they did not know it as he did.
Sharp and sleek, his shuttle sped over the marshlands which bordered the citadel grounds in every direction. Sensor-reflecting technology masked their approach from any prying eyes, although he was not overall concerned about them becoming alert to his presence. They would have much greater concerns within a few hours than a lone shuttle transmitting Alliance transponder codes. If they were watching, they would be especially confused when the transmitting codes suddenly went silent as any semblance of a shuttle disappeared from their scopes entirely.
Because while they may have known about the citadel, they did not know its secrets. Not like he did.
The hangar doors closed overhead, trickles of water continuing through the cracks as the black shuttle settled down on the old forgotten deck. After a moment of hissing hydraulics, the shuttle's boarding ramp creaked down to thud against the moss-coated floor. From within emerged three individuals, one far larger than the others in both height and weight class. All were cloaked in the garb of the Sith, wide hoods pulled up over their faces to conceal their identities. Not like they needed to, this section of the citadel had been abandoned and forgotten for so much longer than the start of the Alliance's trespass.
Wordlessly the larger figure led the smaller ones on, past barely functioning doors and a broken turbolift shaft they had to scale by hand. Above the citadel was in far less disrepair, but only marginally. Wiring still hung loosely from broken wall panels, and small critters scampered away at their approach.
They reached a winding stairwell and descended down into the darkness.
On The Eve Of Battle
That had been several hours ago, and the trio had not budged from their chosen destination since then. Ahead of them was a massive vault door, sealed shut with the faint scars of previous attempts to open it scattered all over the walls and floor. The skeletons of these would-be robbers were also nearby, their bones blackened by the magic which warded the door against intrusion. It was why the three had been sitting there for so long, for unlocking the vault was a delicate procedure and could not be rushed or improvised.
Even when they could all feel the looming conflict above their heads, knowing that it would be a matter of time before whatever fighting broke out spilled down into the vault's entrance.
"Ensure that I am not disturbed," the larger man said, his voice a commanding rumble. With both hands, he drew his hood back revealing the scarred and bearded face of Carnifex, the once-Emperor of the Sith Empire. His long black mane was tied back in a warrior's knot, his beard kempt but still lengthy. The smaller beings at his side were the Twi'lek Iash'arha, one of the few acolytes of the Sith Order that had garnered the once-Emperor's attention over the past few months, and the mysterious warrior known only as the Second Son.
Why he had chosen them to accompany him was only his to know, neither Iasha nor the Second Son knew of his designs.
But whatever it was, it had to do with the unknown contents of Moridin's vault.
The spoils of the Dread Lord.

A few months ago...

The glowing yellow orb shined brightly, radiating intense, scalding heat across the Dune Seas. A hot, dry wind blew fiercely across the sand dunes, kicking up a choking dust into the air. The sand did preciously little to cushion Elpsis' descent. Certainly not at the height and incredible speed she was travelling. It was not the first such fall. Just the one where she had been able to break the invisible chain around her throat. As it was, she was certain that she had at least one broken rib when she crashed into the ground.

Her throat hurt and she sucked in oxygen. She was sweating and in a lot of pain. Blood streamed down her skull, as it had hit something hard. Siobhan Kerrigan stood above her. "Tell me, daughter, did you cower like this on Tephrike? The Unchained seem to hold you in such high esteem, so surely you can do better. Or did you just let the Dominion brainwash you?"

Her body hurt, but Tephrike had taught her to deal with pain. So had her father, and Matsu Xiangu Matsu Xiangu . Elpsis spat blood, and drew in the sheer heat that permeated the air. Blazing heat spread across her body like wildfire, and found and found an outlet when the flames blasted towards her mother. The fiery onslaught met Siobhan's barrier of the Force. The latter absorbed a good deal of it, but then the matriarch was burning.

Elpsis got to her feet while her mother poured her power into getting the flames under control, tearing off her outer robe when it was ignited. Siobhan was incensed by pain, as the fire coalesced around her before she managed to banish it. Flesh felt like it was peeling off. Elpsis actually heard her cry out in pain. There was a part of her that felt bad. Another felt satisfied.

Then Siobhan had banished the flames and was finally able to breathe. "Now that's better," she spoke, and for a moment, there was something like true approval in her tone: "Much better."
"I've come a long way, Mother. Held my own against the psycho Sith you obsess over for one," Elpsis spat. It hurt to stand, but she did so. However, even now she readied herself.
"Yes." Siobhan's tone was stoic, though her breathing was laboured.

Elpsis was about to say something, but the words died on her lips when she suddenly winced in agony, as Siobhan wrapped her willpower around Elpsis' leg. To be precise, it was the leg that had been injured by heavy slug round on Tephrike and never completely healed...not the least because she had been forced to remove the projectile with the Force and then cauterise the wound with fire. It was like a gigantic pressure was suddenly clamping down on it.

"That's your tibias," Siobhan informed her helpfully. "You really don't want to lose it."
Elpsis lost her footing - she was kneeling. She could feel a bone splintering. Siobhan would not do anything to permanently ruin one of her soldiers - especially one who was her adoptive daughter. But she would not pull her punches. As pain coursed through her body, so did rage. The pyromancer roared. Her agonised shriek was potent enough to produce a shockwave. As the blast surged towards Siobhan, it gathered columns of sand. Possibly at enough velocity to tear someone's skin off.

"This is a bad joke," Elpsis snarled, dropping the document whose contents had been so helpfully written in braille.
"It is her will,"
Royal assured her.
Elpsis glared at the Chiss court lackey - Siobhan's majordomo. "Bullchit. I told Mother to take me out of the succession. Signed the document and all that. Swore a oath to protect Livy and Addy and not, I quote, 'usurp' them."
"You did indeed. I drew up that document. However, it only pertained to Firemane. Per this decree, you're the acting head of House Kerrigan-Alcori, until such a time as Lady Kerrigan recovers from her injuries." Injuries Siobhan had sustained in her duel with
Darth Soteria. The fight had left both opponents broken and close to death in a scenery of devastation. Elpsis had narrowly saved her mother, but the Sith had gotten away. She had not been quick enough - or strong enough. Mother was still in a coma. "You also have custody over her holocron."
"Have Tegs do it."
"Lady Kerrigan chose you for a reason. The Young Phoenix of her house. A brave warrior of Firemane. And you can be so much more."
"Don't, just don't, ok?" Elpsis snapped. "She doesn't get to pretend that we're a happy royal family and I'm her obedient princess." Siobhan had went to war for her on Tephrike and Elpsis would be grateful for that. But she had not loved her. She had not treated her well. Nor had Tegaea, for that matter. "And in case she forgot, I've got duties - at the frontier."
"I'm sure no one is expecting you to go over profit margins and manage the family's property. I would be happy to manage these responsibilities for you," Royal said sweetly. "There are some events that will require your attendance though. Of course, I'll be there to advise you."
"How very selfless of you."
"I only wish to serve your family, my dear. There are many in Firemane who believe they can ignore their oath to it because Lady Kerrigan is temporarily...indisposed. There must always be a Kerri..."
"Her body's still warm, y'know. She's gonna wake up. You're just a lackey looking for a chance to suck up. Fortunately for you, I don't care about any of this nonsense...otherwise you'd be scrubbing toilets." Then she turned away.
"Where are you going? You still need to meet the family lawyer..."
"Work."

Now...

The Citadel was not a pleasant place. These grounds were cursed. The dark taint permeated them. Fortunately, Elpsis had rejected the Light a long time ago, just as she had the chaos and destruction of the dark. She could still feel the hunger of the nexus. It was difficult to centre herself under such circumstances.

But this was familiar. This was what she could deal. Siobhan had balanced politics, business and battle. She had achieved great success, as even Elpsis could acknowledge. Yet the 'Fire Princess' was also certain that she had lost something on the way, as had Tegaea. Wealth always eroded principle. Elpsis would be the first to admit that she had no mind for business or political machinations. But battle she understood. She felt at home when surrounded by its flames. And she had a cause to devote herself to. There was little love between her and her domineering mother, but Siobhan had trained her well. Maybe I'll have some trophy lightsabres to show off to you when you get better, Mother, Elpsis thought. She laughed at that, but there was no mirth to be found in her laughter. Her throat itched.

She had found a place to meditate in one of the many chambers, even as the nexus' influence clawed at the sanctity of her mind. The location was imperfect, for she would have preferred to be surrounded by nature, but it would have to do for a simple prayer. "You are the Lifeweb - the source of everything. And the Red Lady is a messenger. You are everywhere. Large and small, we're all part of you; we all weave ourselves into the tapestry. We are born, we live, we die, are judged and reborn. I don't ask for power or money. Gold corrupts even the noblest. I beg for bravery, strength and justice. Give me the strength to be brave and just," she said quietly. "To smite the wicked and deliver them to the hell they deserve."

That done, she arose from her meditative position. Her comm beeped. She took the call. "Alcori?" The message on the other end was simple. Enemy dropships had landed on the planet. "Understood," she said simply and cut the connection. She picked up her helmet. her scarlet mane and heavily scarred face vanished inside it. "Triumph over adversity," she muttered under her breath. They were the Kerrigan-Alcori house words.

Politics was a dirty game, Caedyn's father had always said as much, however, his Son hadn't involved himself within the profession for the things he and his Sister had witnessed growing up on Commenor under their Parents monarchy. It didn't seem to matter nowadays of course, whether one was an active part of it or tried to steer as far clear of it as possible, for even the Silver Jedi Order had been dragged through the recent waves created through the affairs of the Concord. Despite their hopes and eyes for the future, they'd made some extremely difficult choices to come to terms, thankfully pressured by the Silver Assembly into correcting their stance towards political relations across the Galaxy.

While there were some alliances that Caedyn couldn't fathom, their cooperation with the Galactic Alliance wasn't one of them. Perhaps one of the only other democratic Government that also strengthened the influence of the Jedi and of the Lightside of the Force amidst the growing darkness that surrounded both themselves and the Silver Jedi Concord. Together, as neighbours, the Silver Jedi and the Galactic Alliance represented a hope for a brighter future for society as a whole, away from the oppressive dictatorship that was the Sith Imperial Blocc, the corrupt and criminal rogue organizations and the seemingly unstoppable momentum of the Bryn'adul.

Upon the first sign of an invasion force heading for Byss, the Silver Intelligence Network sent word out across the Concord's emergency channels alerting not only government and military personnel but so too the Silver Assembly that would see Silver Jedi dispatched to help defend and support the Galactic Alliance World however possible. Among them, Caedyn Arenais had arrived on the ground within Byss' capital city. It seemed that the industrial sectors were being targeted primarily by the Eternal Empire, the very same government that he and his Padawan had recently clashed against in order to protect and rescue his Sister Loreena Arenais-Valhoun Loreena Arenais-Valhoun who was deeply involved within the Rebellion against their control in the western regions of the navigational map.

Reaching the surface alongside other Rangers, the troop dropship landed hastily and the doors slid upon while orders were barked for all to hit the ground and secure their landing zone. Among them Caedyn had requested no authority nor station over the squad and instead sought to work independently of their orders, seeking to free himself of any restraints in order to listen to the calling of the force for where he would be most needed. As quickly as it had landed, the transport took off and made for orbit, leaving the squad to dig in behind cover with the Jedi Knight alongside them seeking to get the lay of the land.

if they're watching anyways

When she'd said the New Jedi would help Byss in its time of need, she'd been half expecting Vosh-Sularen to refuse them. The Imperial world's leadership was rarely amenable to the Jedi -- or the Alliance as a whole -- so it had come as a bit of a surprise that the Jedi weren't shut down. Given Byss's defense fleet had swelled to a relatively dangerous size she might've expected the Lord-Imperator to be so prideful as to face the attack on his own.

As the attack progressed it was clear that the Alliance and Byss had prepared well. The evacuation was well on schedule; the civilians holed up in the shelters across the capital -- thankfully not armed like the citizens of Dantooine. Even the Lord Imperator would not risk (or rather, waste) his people's lives in battle. The Defense Force units deployed on Byss would be enough to stop the Eternal Empire's soldiers. With the planetary shield activated it would be impossible for the Empire to gain reinforcements. Of course, that was only a basic understanding given her rudimentary military sensibilities.

Yet she had another sense. The Force twisted and wrenched, forewarning something dark well on its way. Even so far from the nexus, she could feel it attempting to cloud her mind. Byss had been destroyed so long ago; yet even through its rebirth, there was still a lingering presence. Palpatine had been a powerful and dangerous man. Though he had long passed it was as if his spirit clung to the places he had once known. Perhaps that was why imperialism still reigned here -- those whispers could push the people to embrace a single leader who they believed had the strength and spine to overcome any obstacle or enemy. She wondered if the Eternal Empire's attack today would strengthen or weak that sentiment.

It was the darkness that led her, beckoned her to meet it. She'd abandoned the command center in favour of a trip to the edge of the city where the defenders fought off the Empire's legions and saboteurs. Their destruction of the industrial area over an attempt to take the city showed they understood the situation; they couldn't hold Byss, but they could certainly hurt it. Intelligence reports believed that the Eternals's orders were not to harm civilians, only to destroy what they could of Byss's infrastructure. Not unlike their Sith allies they had forgotten there were a great many ways to hurt another; it could take a great amount of time to repair Byss after the attack, during which time poverty, unemployment, and any number of social ills would rise. Even so, the Alliance's sanctions could easily do the same to the Eternal Empire. There were no victors.

So often she wished that the galaxy would take time to look inward instead of searching for enemies. There were problems greater than the Sith or even the Bryn'adûl.

Yet there she was, a Jedi, a little light to stand against encroaching darkness. For a brief moment she hoped she might be able to reason with whatever approached. She exited the speeder and ran closer to the sounds of battle. A desperate hope -- that she could stop this then and there.

But there was a darkness that she knew would not see her reason nor could she ward it with her light. Ahead, it beat loudly; the heart of a tiger as it prepared to pounce on its prey. She stopped in her tracks.

Prazutis.

While worn, decrepid some would say, Moridin's Citadel struck Iasha with awe. As their ship descended down, she compared it to a holographic model of the citadel in its prime. Like many acolytes, she was something of an amateur archaeologist. Unlike some, she simply admired and enjoyed the architecture of the sith that came before her. When she was a young spireling, after they recolated to the Empire, her parents had taken her to see many of the archeological and architectural wonders the Empire had to offer. Many on Jaminere where she had grown up, but also others in Greater Tion and beautiful Galidraan. Nothing had beaten the old things she had seen on Korriban, though Dromund Kaas came close.

This? Seeing the remains of a structure from the great Darth Moridin? That was going to be a highlight for life, she thought.

In part because of the company.

The young twi'lek did not know how she had garnered the attention of the former Emperor, the founder of their Empire: Darth Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex , but she counted herself fortunate. She had been clearly instructed to follow every order, even if it sounded as if it would lead to her death. Insolence would not be tolerated, and she was only to speak when spoken to. The last part was the hardest. She had so many things she wanted to ask, wanted to know. Yet, when she felt the dam holding her questions at bay beginning to burst, she had no clue where to start.

So she remained quiet.

Byss - A world that belonged in the hands of the Sith.

The conflict grew overhead. At times they could see the glints of light from plasma explosions, and hear the din of explosions carrying all the way out here. She followed him inside, keeping her hood up and scanning the horizon with her senses. It was a responsibility she felt placed on her shoulder even before the Sith Lord demanded it.

"Yes, my Lord."

She nodded simply and turned her back to him. Her eyes set on the distance, but her senses reached out in every direction. Slowly, carefully, she unclipped her sabre and kept it along her arm, hidden inside the black cloak that obscured most of her physique.

Even when he knelt, he was close to her full height, and his bulk was more than twice that of her. While his black hair was combed and tied back, her lekku were brushed forward to crest over her chest. There they curled toward each other and tied together, shaping themselves along the wide hem of the hood. It was almost as if two serpents protected her throat.

Protecting the former Dark Lord and Emperor of the Sith.

She hoped this wasn't just a fluke.

She really needed to do this right.

It had been nearly two months since he saw combat - and if it were up to Wyatt, he would never see it again. The Ghost of Atollon had seen, and done, things he never thought he would have to; many he hid himself from in fear of themselves. Of all the times he had come close to the Dark Side - he had never lost the impact that came with killing; but on Atollon he lost that sympathy.
If there was ever something that he feared, it was losing that empathy.
Now that fear began to resurface as he kneeled outside of the brigades pseudo outpost. Wyatt was no longer the Grandmaster, no longer privy to the meetings of generals - not that he would demand it; but he still felt obligated to help the Alliance - because he made them a promise that the Jedi would serve the ideals of the Republic. Now, in the midst of a poorly done meditation stance, he almost regretted that willingness to put himself in the line of fire.
There was a quiet desperation to escape the constant warfare that embroiled him and the galaxy as a whole.
It’s time, Master Morga.”, a commando said as he rested a hand on Wyatt’s shoulder.
For all Wyatt was worth, he had lost the calmness of touch - and he flinched at the mans touch. There was the briefest moment that his muscles commanded him to grab his lightsaber; strike at the hand that threatened him. But he stopped himself only a twitch before he would have.
But the Commando could see it - in the Master’s eyes, in his tense jaw. The man had seen shell shock a thousand times, and now once more in the eyes of a Jedi that once was looked up to by the entirety of the Core. A symbol of strength, a pillar of stalwart courage, now marred with the micro fractures of war.
All it would take is another crack, and the entire foundation will break.
The man pulled back just as quickly, and gave him a quick nod, but Wyatt knew that even that simplest of interactions could have cost that soldier his life. The first strike at his moral, knowing that Wyatt feared what was to come; but while the soldier thought it may have been because Wyatt knew not if they would win - Wyatt knew it was because he feared what he might do.
With a carefully rehearsed slowness, he stood and rolled his shoulders - hearing the first bombing alarms go off in the industrial district. Much of the city was already evacuated to fallout shelters; but for those who were contained within their homes he could do little more than hope they had the good fortune of a strong wall between them and the Eternal Empire.
Commandos moved to find their positions in pre-fortified rooms and balconies, anywhere they could to strike out at those who encroached on Byss. Wyatt, however, would look for the leader of the assault - end them, redeem them, do whatever he had to cut the head off the snake. He could almost sense it, a familiar darkness he had become all too accustomed to - like a harsh stench in the air, of rot and pestilence permeating the very nature of the Force.
But it wasn’t nearly as dark as one like Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex or his flesh avatars, but rather something that trailed it; like someone who simply waded through the filth, but didn’t partake in it.
With his senses trained, his vaulted himself off the balcony as the first shots rang out. His feet hit the ground with a resounding crack of duracrete beneath him - a minor thing, but something that encouraged him. He wasn’t as fast as he was two years prior, but he was fast enough. At least, he hoped he was.
Breaking into a run only exemplified his wounds - but he could feel his target not far in the smoke; and in only a few seconds the force enhanced Jedi broke through the dust to make eye contact with Cara Dorniarn Cara Dorniarn - his gaze narrowing as his infamous blade snapped to life besides him.
In an almost fictional setup, he was bathed in a heavy blue light as he spoke -
Leave, Sith. Do not throw your life away so needlessly.”
He had to offer it, even if it didn’t ever work.

One of the aura she felt really surprised her, Ingrid was expecting everyone here, just not him; the Former Sith Emperor, Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex . She didn't get a report that the man was here either, so it was a very unexpected turn. But now she didn't have time to deal with it, because she had to get to the castle too. In fact, she could have done it easily, all she had to do is to use Force Cloak and walk across the battlefield without anyone noticing she was here. She would have done it any other time.

But now these people were here at her command, they will fight at her command and go into battle. They will die at her command. She remembered her first fight when she was already a disciple of the Emperor, when she first had to be commander, it was a different life. Meanwhile, she received a message, The Raven has arrived. She just sent a quick reply back that she had received the message and the man was free to navigate with the code she had received earlier. The man, whoever he may be, will have no problem with all this. The Eternal Empire will not attack him.

Returning to the battlefield, she cut herself through the enemy with her two swords, for Ingrid was a soldier. She may have been made a master assassin by her training at the Shadow Company, but even then, they were soldiers as well. She had been trained as a soldier since childhood and as an assassin, an agent, a spy. Neither melee nor range-fight caused her any trouble. She just missed the sniper rifle, but with the vibroswords she was an artist on the battlefield when she used these weapons.

Death was there in every move she made, one cut, one dead. The artist who plays with life and death, the shadow that lurks there everywhere. Her movements were graceful, elegant, like that of a big cat a predator, only she was more deadly than they were. Whoever may not have died in her cuts were lying on the ground due to the venom of the swords. She was hit by a few shots, but her armour protected her from them, but those who shot her were nowhere near as lucky.

They hadn’t landed too far before, so it was only a few minutes to get through, cutting herself through the enemy. True, more was probably waiting in and around the building, but the woman still arrived. From behind, one of the dropships pierced the wall, exposing the inward path. The Nexus was in there, down there exactly, at least as much as she felt. If the plan succeeds, she can silence the Lord Commanders for a good while.

She looked back at the battlefield for another moment, then headed for the castle.
