–– with the assist of some Jedi younglings dressed as elves –– distributed communicator randomizers to all in attendance so they might prolong the glad tidings beyond the celebration.
The Starbird Holo-Communicator is an entirely unique piece of technology, given its general uselessness beyond the party and holiday sentiment. When activated, any member of The Alliance can send a message out through the network, with no guarantee on who will receive it. The opportunity to spark conversation with a random party puts the potential for senators to speak with custodians, naval captains to marshals, or businesspeople to Jedi.
The badge itself is a small Starbird fashioned after the Galactic Alliance’s symbol and made of a golden, corrosion-resistant, painted metal. It contains a small fragment of Rathalayan Firestones which produce pleasant warmth when in close proximity to another Firestone, most commonly in the form of another badge.
