Denon

- Intent: Submit an updated and expanded version of the Denon plant codex entry by carrying through the ideas and vision by the original author Daiya, but written in my own words so as not to take credit for the time and care put into the original submission. The largest changes include government and affiliation updates, new districts and locations, and the history section was updated to include Canon/Legends and recent Chaos events.

- Planet Name: Denon
- Demonym: Denonite, Denonese
- Region: Inner Rim
- System Name: Denon
- System Features:
The Denon System is composed of six planets orbiting a B-type Star, Den. The planet Denon is the fourth in the solar system; with the shattered remains of an over mined asteroid belt floating between the orbits of the second and third planets.
Throughout the solar system are various waystations and waypoints to direct traffic through the hyperlanes or super-hyperroutes (Corellian Run, Hydian Way, Five Veils) that intersect in the sector. Hyperwave transceivers saturate the system to propagate HoloNet communications interacting with countless satellites to fulfill the insatiable demand of Denon's populace.
- Denon, the Fourth Planet

- Primary Terrain: Urban Hyperdensity & Verticalization
- Atmosphere: Type I, Breathable

- Capital City: District One (The Capital District)
- Planetary Features:
A number of lavish gravity-defying residences, factories, and shipyards are also found orbiting the planet. A Space Bazaar orbital platform facilitates financial and cargo transactions for those that can afford the docking fees and prefer to avoid landing on the planet below. Additionally, a maximum-security incarceration facility orbits Denon for the planet's most dangerous criminals.
Neon Heights & Depths of Denon
Weather control stations keep the skies clear, but occasionally cycle rain through the Districts. Rain is mostly for aesthetics or atmosphere; District One's natural habitats are hydrated by other means so as not to carry unwanted chemicals in from other Districts.
Food and water are scarce on Denon with all of the farmland, lakes, seas, and oceans long since filled in, excavated, or otherwise used in the construction of Denon's Depths. There is an overwhelming reliance on the import of such substances; however, substantial water/wastewater purification, treatment, and refinery facilities along with a number of hydroponics farms ensure the people can survive even a prolonged blockade.
Denon millennia ago began making use of the geothermal energy of the planet as well as the solar energy of their sun. Neither of which is enough to sustain a multi-level ecumenopolis such as Denon on their own. A variety of power generators and reactors can be found on Denon having been built over the planet's long history through numerous Districts. A massive energy complex resides in District Twenty-One to ensure generation and distribution of power across Denon, and avoid over-monopolization at local levels (excess draw fees are applied to Districts to curb their appetites and encourage local generator construction).
- Major Locations:
- Districts of Renown:
- District 1 - Capital: The Seat of Power of Denon at the Pentaplex is where the Executive Directorship Board (Direx Board, or Board of Directors) meets. Space is limited making it a choice location for Corporations to compete to claim a building bearing their logo. District One lacks the countless lower levels of other districts as it possesses the only remaining natural features of Denon; which include the peaks of a mountain range, a forest of kilometer-tall trees, and a river that flows through the district. Even the original Old Parliament Plaza, where the former Denon government once met, can be enjoyed for a peaceful afternoon stroll and a museum touting the pinnacle of Denon's achievements. Its cleanliness, order, and opulence is a shining role model for all other Districts to aspire toward.
Base of the Pentaplex- Coalition for Mutual Benefit of Trade Embassies (CMBTE) - The Coalition for Mutual Benefit of Trade (CMBT) is a gathering of like-minded corporate interests that seek to replace Denon's existing government.
- Moonveil Plaza - Owned by Moonveil Communications & Holdings, Inc., a front for The Family, this sparkling cloudcutter was built in an effort to keep them close with the Corporate Authorities of Denon as they expanded their influence in the Core. Moonveil also bolstered Denon's communication network.
- District 2 - Commerce: Also known as the Finance District, the City of Commerce is considered the economic hub with thousands of small and medium enterprises, and several large corporations, spread among the cloudcutters and shopping centers. One of the busiest and most modern spaceports can be found here ferrying countless souls to local businesses; consequently, the Denon Space Authority's premier control tower also resides in this District. Additionally, the Supercity Speedway allows planetary residents to quickly enter or leave the bustling district safely.
- Fiora Centre - Fiora Corporation's main Headquarters.
- Orchid Heights - Home of Marcella Fiora and Ivory Stroud.
- Corell Tower - Corellia Digital Corporation operated a store, banking branch, restaurant, and HoloNet relay from this location.
- The Oasis - The Boolon Foundation's Sanctuary where all are welcome.
- Hello Cathar - A single product company merchandising the imagery and lore behind Hello Cathar.
- District 3 - Moonfall: A largely defunct industrial wasteland, it was once a thriving industrial center for centuries. Over mining of Denon's last natural moon resulted in significant reduction in the flow of raw materials for processing, and the district's eventual economic collapse. It is one of the few districts that lacks high-rises or cloudcutters. Old, enormous gravity concentration stations are still standing to this day; and newer weather control stations and other maintenance facilities are constructed here for effective 'land' usage.
- Squib Reclamation - A landfill and waste management corporation.
- Rachne Industries - Dominique Vexx's personal corporation establishing her rise to power.
- District 4 - Corp Zone: CorpSec can refer to the Corporate Sector that the Authority governs, but often it is used to refer to the Security force that answers to the Board. This district contains equipment, vehicles, barracks, lockups, and other facilities used by CorpSec. As a massive military complex, it is the most heavily regulated District on the planet.
Fortified Complexes
- District 5 - The Spire: The Obsidian Star Mega-Complex (AKA The Spire) is a massive cloudcutter housing much of Obsidian Star Technologies/Aerospace's assets while remaining open to the public to reduce maintenance expenditures. The Eastern Half of the first twenty-five levels of The Spire has a massive, open shopping concourse and a luxury hotel.
- Obsidian Star Mega-Complex (AKA The Spire) - The cloudcutter for which the District is known.
- District 6 - Denon General: Numerous rehabilitation, treatment, and research organizations call District Six home. A massive Medical Plaza, it is widely known for the greatest and cutting-edge medical care on Denon and in the entire Corporate Sector. If something ails you, pray you can afford care here.
- ÆM Conglomerate - Aeronautical and Electronic Medicine - Medical services, pharmaceuticals, and paramedicine services. Also offers private health insurance.
- District 7 - Seven Corners: This district's Town Square is situated at the confluence of several major regional byways providing a thriving city life for residents to move through its commerce center and colorful neighborhoods freely. People of all classes and creeds can be observed interacting at the Seven Corners. The District is well known for Sakedo Tower, which remains a draw to large crowds to this day with its shopping and entertainment venues; and less well known as a major haven for Darkwire members and allies.
- Sakedo Tower - Public hotspot of arcades, shops, boutiques, showrooms, museums, and much more.
- Mirdirmorut Domum Fidelem - Storefront for those seeking to purchase Droids or Vehicles from Mirdirmorut.
- The Blue Flame - A Tavern owned by Shenn Rosham known for its food, and lengthy menu of beverages. Less well known as an Information Brokerage.Once raided by CorpSec.
- Daiya's Old Apartment - Daiya's original apartment.
Commerce & Communities - Daiya's & Hex's Apartment (2022) - Daiya's apartment with Hex.
- Aerial Arts - An Acrobatic Studio operated by Dagon Kaze as a service to the community.
- Skeevi's Nest - Skeevi Merrill's secret abode.
- Raven's Apartment - RAV's apartment.
- Club Iridium - Seemingly nondescript condemned warehouse houses packed, music-filled venue with slicing gear at the ready.
- Reveries Bar & Recall Lounge - Mairéad Solus's bar with discrete Recall booths.
- Goblintown (Tent City) - An infamous gateway to Porfirio's Lair.
- Sargon's Few - A Religious Cult of the Primeval Faith operating out of several warehouses in the Volgho Hollows & Suicide Slums.
- Seventh Corner Loans LLC - If you're hard for credits, call Seventh Corner Loans.
- Brick's Pizza - Vincenzo Valentine's pizzeria and The Family drop-point.
- Wraghl's Droids and Droid Repair - Jerec Asyr's and Wraghl's Droids and Droid Repair shop.
- Quekko's Choice Ship Emporium - The finest pre-owned startships can be found in the Lum Rouge district of Seven Corners since 864.
- Speak Soft Speakeasy - Popular locale for underworld rats following the Blue Flame raid. Its location is only shared with those "in the know."
- The Tombs - Originally founded by The Amavikkan, it is a maze of underground caverns and tunnels that Darkwire uses to evade capture.
- Suicide Slums - A shanty town associated with the District's Midnight Zone.
- Volgho Hollows
- District 8 - NeoBovo: Other districts have casinos, but none have resorts as far as the eye can see with neon signs everywhere not merely of advertisements, but of sights and splendors hidden within the many structures. Water features, street-side entertainment, and endless gambling or sport-betting opportunities can be found around every corner. What happens in NeoBovo, stays in NeoBovo.
The Aurodium Satori Casino- The Nexus - A classy (but not overly ritzy) multilevel club for those that value privacy, secrecy, music, and liquor.
- District 9 - Khrushchyovka: Once a gargantuan prison (relocated in orbit), it was renovated into a residential area and shopping center, the Eden Megamall. While not as luxurious as other district commercial centers, the mall provides more affordable product offerings for lower class residents. Meanwhile, the Underground provides exceptionally cheap shacks and makeshift homes for those short of funds; which CorpSec happily deters guests headed for Liberty Stadium for the day's game from visiting by mistake or otherwise.
- District 10 - Gemini Strand: Formerly a Corporate Authorities of Denon project to eliminate 'excessive and dangerous' augmentations, the District is now home to numerous cyber-parlors and a thriving cybernetics scene. Residents are often low-income and living in tenements; with a variety of dive bars, spice dens, and fight clubs for those that know where to look.
- District 11 - The Double Down: A shining example of Darkwire's vision, the Double Down's abandoned corporate facilities were converted into local draws including cyber-parlors, bars, nightclubs, casinos, high fashion, and classy restaurants. While signs of class-divide remain, it only shows that corporate ownership is not the only way and that the people of Denon can build something for themselves.
- Better Future Society Cloudcutter - The cloudcutter for which the District is known.
- Dark Water Sushi Bar - Watch as your food is prepared by an Artisan chef, listen to the GONK droid delivering noodles, and enjoy the privacy of the secret backrooms.
A Transit Metroplex Terminal
- District 13 - The Fractal
- District 14 - The Wall: A single, megalithic structure that stretches into the sky owned by the Globex Corporation. Without a doubt it stands opposed to everything Darkwire believes. It is a Company Town where every facet of life is owned, operated, and controlled by Globex. Those given leave to enter and leave as they will, however, can find countless products and merchandise for purchase within The Wall.
- 'Second Chance' Criminal Reform Centres - Brutalist architectural structures with labyrinthine spaces providing incarceration and rehabilitation services by Globex.
- District 15 - Grammill: Also known as the MetroPlex, this District is well known for its massive transit station. A ride can be found to every corner of Denon and beyond. Freight and distribution channels also make use of the numerous ports located here on a bustling world.
- District 16 - Lodos: Easily lost under the harsh glow of neon lights that never fade, Lodos houses an enormous diversity of non-Human lifeforms trying to find a place where they can belong. Alien cultures from all over the galaxy congregate here with food venues and entertainment to ensnare the senses.
- Sakhet's Noodles - Noodle vendor. Do they still offer intelligence services? Ask discreetly.
Revitalization Efforts of the Wealthy- Upcity Entertainment District - Anything can be found here including both food and intoxicants. Visitors can find stores offering clothing, holofilms, dancers, maid chefs, and more.
- Upcity Temple - A Jedi Academy formerly affiliated with the Silver Jedi.
- Ayumi's Tower - Ayumi Pallopides's main office in the Upcity.
- Hutt Consulate - A Hutt Palace on Denon allowing resident Hutts all the decadence of home.
- District 20 - Dali: Art Connoisseurs know this as The Art District. Even the building architecture has adopted non-confirming geometries, spirals, jutting sub-buildings, and other decorative additions.
- Kaloran Art Museum - Attractive pieces of art can be found in the sphere located at the top of the building.
- District 21 - The Conduit: The Central Power Distribution Grid has numerous generator towers and reactor cores utilizing multiple forms of fuel or physical processes to generate untold amounts of power for all Districts of Denon. Local District power is strongly encouraged, but this centralized source makes sure the lights never go out.
- District 24 - The Vault: Secure Vaults, Art Exhibits, and an artificial Port with a synthetic lake call District Twenty-Four home. Secure-Set Vault Corporate provides many secure storage facilities as the chief draw for customers, while the district houses numerous shopping and nightlife businesses for residents.
An Artificial Lake
- District 28 - The Blade
- District 35 - Cobalt
- Blackline Dynamics - For your cybernetics, slicing tools, neural implants, AI development, black-market droid mods, Undernet nodes and infrastructure needs.
- District 74 - The Glitch: Guests are recommended to avoid District Seventy-Four due to on-going conflict with a rogue military outfit known as SecNet over control of the district.
- HoloNet
- ICEWALL, Eternal Prison of the HoloNet - A logical construct on the HoloNet designed to snare malicious code. Runners beware.
- Zones & Levels of Renown:
- In Orbit / Satellites
- Space Bazaar: A marketplace that remains open in orbit from the time of the Metal Lords.
- Incarceration Facility: Maximum security prison in orbit of Denon.
- Sky / Cloud Estates
- Residences that defy gravity and cloudcutters alike, whether free-floating or tethered, are owned by the wealthiest on Denon. Few are permitted to visit. Residents are known as 'Cloud Flyers.'
- Zero-G Swimming: Nothing says wealth like swimming through the open skies.
- Upper Levels / Sunlight Lofts
- These are the 'surface' Levels where direct sunlight can be felt or seen in large areas. Cloudcutters and surface buildings are indisputable residents, but even those a few levels down may still be Upper Level due to cutouts in higher levels allowing large swathes of light to shine below. Typically only the wealthy and influential can find opportunity or affordability to reside here. Many businesses can be found here with competition fierce for permits as many residents prefer the lack of countless Levels over their heads. Residents are known as 'Sunnies.'
- Art & Theater: Denon is more than just a Commercial Paradise; art and theatrical displays are enjoyed by its people.
- Multiple Luxurious Spaceports: There are countless spaceports and with so many VIPs transiting through them they are luxurious more often than not.
- Shockboxing: A violent and dangerous melee sport that gets the adrenaline pumping even for the audience.
- Null Hockey: Now with a third dimension and no gravity, and more walls to ricochet pucks and opponents alike.
- Grav Ball & Anti-Grav Ball: Get the ball in the hoop. A fan favorite especially with the bookies.
- Rianza Parlors: Tile game involving betting, bluffing, and a sharp intellect.
- Mid Levels / Twilight Belt
- Capable of receiving only a few hours of indirect sunlight at best, the Twilight Levels are more affordable. With hundreds of Levels found here, it is Denon's most populous region with the majority of employment opportunities. While rain is common even this far down, in some Districts it can turn toxic due to runoff from the higher Levels; with the effect growing worse the deeper one goes. These Levels are often considered the lowest where respectable residents might be found. Their residents are known as 'Duskers.'
- Battlebots: Assemble your warrior, and test their mettle against their rivals.
- Street Racing: Big world, endless streets, why not give it your best shot?
- Brothels: He's out of line, but he isn't wrong. The class divide exists even here.
- Cyber Parlors: Clean, direct, accredited, or disgraced you can find a cyberdoc ready to install the latest or cheapest gear imaginable.
- Street Vendors: Countless vendors offering food, drink, trinkets, art, counterfeits, and everything else for the right price.
- Gambling Houses: Dens of depravity and wonder with lights to blind and debts to bind. Pick your poison, or your place your wagers.
- Lower Levels / Midnight Zone
- There is not a shred of natural light to be found this deep in Denon; it is where only the lowest of the low care to go. Residents are considered to be destitute or in hiding, and employers are no better than predators. There is no natural rain, with only drainage pipes and channels from higher levels providing water to these denizens; the toxicity of which can be well beyond the pale. Even the atmosphere of certain, deeper levels strain being considered Type I and may be better classified as Type II (hazardous). While arguably the largest of all zones in sheer size, living conditions are often too poor to even consider housing the poor and wretched of the galaxy here. Residents are known as 'Shadows.'
- Lights in the Deep: Even in lower levels the neon glow is always there.
- Secret Laboratories: The perfect spot on Denon for your nefarious needs. Don't mind the decor.
- Deep Levels / Abyss
- Certain regions of Denon were ripe for building some of the deepest Levels on the planet, but not without cost. These Levels are considered mere rumor or the subject of ghost stories; most don't believe they exist, or if they do they're merely too hazardous to venture into with hallucinations a result of exposure to untold gas mixtures. It is said, however, there are countless Levels beneath the habitable ones that comprise the original Levels of Denon; some say hundreds, others say thousands of forgotten, uninhabitable Levels for Type I lifeforms. Many, deeper Levels are swamped in chemical clouds expected from a Type III atmosphere not from a world like Denon. Within this forbidden zone, new life and a foreign ecosystem has developed capable of surviving in this hostile environment; which only adds to the dangers of anyone exploring their depths even wearing appropriate protection. Anyone brave or foolish enough to reside in these depths are known as 'Ghosts' -- a quality they may engender literally and in short order.
- In Orbit / Satellites
- Districts of Renown:

- Native Species: Human
- Immigrated Species: Near-Humans, Twi'leks, Sullustans, Trandoshans, Ilthorians, Devaronians, Defel, Kel Dor, and many more.
- Population: Crowded, over 500 Billion
- Demographics: Over 60% are Human or Human-like, with the remaining 40% in constant flux among the many other species inhabiting Denon at any given time. Creatures of all walks of life are welcome (though being financially independent is strongly recommended).
- Primary Languages: Galactic Basic, Huttese
- Culture:
Denon is a capitalist's paradise; a world whose law bends in the corporations' favor, but whose market manages to function with relatively little regulatory oversight.
Despite having long since run out of land with which to fit any further corporate or industrial footprint, Denon countless years ago took to building Level upon Level making ever more room for endless growth. So much mass has been added to the planet that its rotational period has literally slowed by an entire minute -- the planet's rotation speed has slowed from its sheer weight. And the expansion continues to this day. There are very few 'new' Districts added, only existing ones revitalized, overhauled, or repurposed; the entirety of the planet has been covered by the urban sprawl.
Towering, Endless Growth
Corporations are offered extremely generous offers and tax breaks to coax ever more market and creative geniuses to Denon to benefit from a galaxy's worth of profit. They're allowed to police their own grounds as they see fit, often with their word taken for gospel if accusations arise against the corporation or their internal security. Spaceports and transportation systems cover the surface of the planet ensuring product is delivered to and from all Levels of Denon, and that any merchandise destined off-world arrives on-time and in-tact according to contractual obligations.
Meanwhile, the wealthy owners of successful businesses can enjoy some of the most luxurious, envious residences ever seen; a sliver of a sliver can even enjoy residences that float high above the 'surface' of Denon. Art, theater, and entertainment venues of all nature and style can be found on Denon even for the most esoteric of tastes. Those with enough money can buy their way out of almost any criminal activity, depending on who is slighted, in which District, and how influential the criminal is in higher society.
All of this comes at a cost, however, which the wealthy and successful are prepared for the masses to pay.
Some are able to afford the education or training necessary, attend the affluent academies, or get invited to high society gatherings needed to land a lucrative job in order to live comfortably on Denon. Most are not. While many can find 'gainful' employment enough to afford a roof over their head and enough nutrition to stay on their feet during the day, the conditions in which they may be forced to work can be deleterious to most lifeforms; even if the stressors are unreasonable work hours or unpredictable schedules, many workers are subjected to enduring physical and mental hardships with lackluster healthcare. Numerous invisible barriers -- often the demands of their employment necessary just to afford food to eat -- hold the majority of residents back from scaling the social ladder and affording a residence on a higher Level.
A Productive Member of Society, A Corpo
Those fortunate enough to fall somewhere between the Haves and the Have-Nots -- those that can almost taste success -- give the appearance of upward mobility to many. Those fortunate few often have to make life-long decisions between a life of luxury, advancement, and enabling the elevation of their children, however. Some would call this the 'Middle Class' of Denon. A rare gem that shines all the brighter, and like so many other shiny jewels leads others to disaster.
Individuals inclined to favor, support, or show sympathy for the needs or vision of the Upper Class are referred to as 'Corpos.' Meanwhile, those that are just struggling to survive are known as 'Discretes' -- but often only in certain Corporate social circles or documents. Among the Common Person, most simply view the world in terms of Employer and Employee, with the latter controlling the means of survival and the latter simply grateful for finding stable employment.
Citizens striving for success are expected to be ambitious but loyal, cunning but not disruptive, and analytical but social. Meanwhile, workers that demonstrate unquestioning loyalty, profit-driven mindset, and efficiency-driven are rewarded. Anyone participating in 'extremist' discussions or activities -- including protests, HoloNet posting, unauthorized slicing -- can become blacklisted within a District and sometimes throughout all of Corporate Sector Authority space, which may leave them incarcerated at best or cast into the Lower Levels or Abyss at worst.
Brand loyalty to one's place of employment extends to almost every facet of life. Denonites are not only expected to have brand loyalty for every type of product or service, but are even proud of supporting the wildly successful ones as others crash into bankruptcy. Picking the right product to support demonstrates a person's good decision making (or blind luck), which can spell the difference between ascending the ladder of success or ending up in free-fall.

Because of the challenges inherent in the system were half of success is luck, some among the masses have taken to gambling on get-rich-quick schemes to make money fast or participate in criminal activity (evidence of which is often held by the syndicate to hang over such a person's head to extort them later should they manage to become successful). As a result, gangs and criminal syndicates can be found in almost any District of Denon, granting untold numbers of illicit employment opportunities and means to acquire wealth. Crime and insurgency have a tendency to coexist in certain groups, such as Darkwire, that focus on undercutting the corporations and their sympathizers; and whose Shadowrunners might often hold alternative identities to pass as everyday citizens. Other insurgent groups, such as The Amavikkan, may engage in benign resistance by establishing 'underground railroads' or 'freedom trails' to enable the liberation of indentured or enslaved workers from their owners.
It is far from unusual for a Denonite of any Class to engage in risk-seeking or adrenaline-junkie behavior. There are as many stadiums and race tracks as there are shopping malls on Denon. Risk of life or limb is common among every sport such as speeder races, shockboxing, and null-G hockey with regulations or referees often as trustworthy and unbiased as an officer of CorpSec. Bragging about participating in illicit activity is also not unheard of to give the appearance of higher social standing than a person's bank account would reflect; confidence scams sometimes open up doors where fake-it-until-you-make-it can literally come true.
One trend that has yet to fall out of favor with the masses are cybernetics (AKA implants or mods). Certain modifications can improve performance, which increases the likelihood of promotion. Others view it as simply a way of taking back control of their life and having something tangible to hold on to that can't be taken back. Some companies may even sponsor an individual receiving a single implant, or numerous implants and becoming full-on cyborgs. Many whisper warnings to each other about stories of such corporate provided benefits being repossessed should someone leave their employment or become incapacitated. Fashion trends involving the latest in cybernetics spread throughout the HoloNet frequently.
A Cyberneticly Enhanced Denonite
Few citizens believe in higher powers with a system stack against them and no invisible hand lifting them out of poverty. This lack has resulted in a number of spiritualists or religious orders setting up Temples or enclaves on Denon in an effort to garner new followers with promises of a brighter future. Because such groups use similar recruiting or promoting methods as the Corporations, however, many are skeptical of the motives of such well-meaning organizations; some believe them little more than another con-artist trying to take what little finances or possessions a hard worker has managed to acquire.
Likewise, standing out among the crowded Levels of Denon is extremely difficult. With so many clamoring to ascend the ladder of success, Corporations have as hard a time finding genuine talent as that talent has developed in the first place. Scams work both ways, and consequences for hiring a con-artist can be extreme among Corpos -- loss of face is a serious issue that can cut a promising career short.
Among the Corpo Elite, membership within the Executive Directorship Board as a permanent voting Director is highly sought after. Anyone on the Board is afforded considerable respect and leverage in dealing with other corporations in the Corporate Sector Authority. Directors over other Districts are often beholden to the permanent Board members, while periodically non-voting Director members of the Board are cycled to give visibility and allow participation in budgetary approvals. The difference in voting privilege, and even role as part of the Corporate Sector Authority entity with broader authority than a lone District Director may hold, provides its own stratification among the wealthy. Furthermore, should a permanent member abruptly retire or die without a successor there is often a period of turmoil as Directors vie against one another to fill the seat.
The Executive Directorship Board
Great efforts are made to avoid the masses recognizing their ability to unit for collective bargaining against the Upper Class. As a result, inter-class violence is rare and often painted in a heinous light with severe consequences. Meanwhile, intra-class violence is met with a laissez faire dispassion as common occurrence. Despite all of this, however, the last few decades have had an increase in class-warfare recognition led by efforts by groups such as Darkwire, which has required the Board to redouble efforts to placate the masses. The struggle for Denon's -- and the Corporate Sector Authority's -- soul continues to this day.

- Government: Corporatocracy
Corporate Sector Authority- Executive Directorship Board
- Territorial Administrator - Sector/Planetary Governor
- Regional Directors - District/City Mayor
- Executive Viceprexes - Secretary/Minister Level
- Viceprexes - Department Level
- Assistant-Viceprexes - Branch Level
- Affiliation: The Corporate Sector Authorities are a member of The High Republic
The Heights of Wealth & Taste//Corpos - Currency: Authority Cash Vouchers, Credits (e.g. Republic Credits, Galactic Alliance Credits)
- Wealth: Wealthy, Denon is a major industrial and trade hub in the galaxy. Countless corporations call it home or have their headquarters hosted on the planet. Fees and taxes ensure the world authorities have enough to keep its infrastructure functional, while eager capitalism ensures the profits of resident partners. Denon's corporation-friendly policies and well-established corporate legal precedents make it an attractive locale for businesses across the galaxy.
Not everyone reaps the rewards of Denon being such a well-off world, however. The majority of business owners and entrepreneurs are exceptionally well-off, but not nearly as wealthy as the 0.01% that own the loftiest of residences and yield the greatest influence on Denon. While some seek to hoard all the credits, others strive to maintain a balance allowing their lesser peers to strive and earn as they would to perpetuate the delicate balance of their industrious world. As a result tax revenue for the ultra wealthy is exceptionally low, and burdensome but not all-consuming on the lower classes.
The Humility of the Commons//Discretes
The largest class of resident, the Common Person, likewise, may not end up in the career of their choice; those with too exacting a standard for a job may find their social standing quickly slipping and at risk of becoming destitute. Spacers, Traders, Bounty Hunters, Thugs, Shop Owners, Street Vendors, and more share in the everyday worries of holding on to what they have. Meanwhile, the more artistic souls struggle to make ends meet, or find supplemental jobs that don't place them in harm's way; they possess the same problems as others made all the more stressful in balancing acquiring funds with their passions. While there are a number of Districts with affordable services and products for those found at this more middling financial state, few could say they're satisfied with just enough while lavish displays of wealth are commonplace on Denon. Some have even resorted to illicit activity just to survive, or for a chance at basking in the glow of their own sun.
Truly destitute souls don't even warrant consideration by those in power. Even elected officials would be more inclined to saddle those without as being an anchor weighing society down rather than reallocate funds. Services are few and far between, often provided by well-being third parties that only have so many credits themselves for so many people. Those straddling this realm, fearful of being thrown into the depths never able to escape, often resort to or are enveloped in criminal activity.
The Abyss of Criminals & Gangs
- Stability: Medium, Presently Denon has a modicum of stability, which is built on a combination of heavy-handedness of CorpSec, a reduction in activity (but not the cessation) of Darkwire, riots or protests of the discontent masses regarding the wealth distribution, and the constant fluctuation of territorial disputes among differing species and criminal organizations that all seek to carve out their own enclaves of influence on Denon.
Visitors can be relatively assured of their safety, provided they avoid specific Districts known for open criminal activity, especially the closer to District One they get. They should be aware that CorpSec makes great effort to enforce the Law, but Denon is a massive city-planet with countless people of all kinds and cultures; be mindful of cultural norms, be respectful, keep your belongings on your person, and make sure to check the HoloNet for local CorpSec offices or safety corridors.
CorpSec Keeps YOUR Family Safe!
Meanwhile, Corporations should be mindful of the corruption and espionage that is prevalent on Denon. The larger a company gets, the more they should invest in security to keep competitors from a hostile takeover or disrupting their distribution channels. Likewise, it wouldn't hurt to be aware of any financial compensation expected by your local enforcement or judicial representative. And find a good arbiter you can trust not to work for your rivals for the inevitable contractual dispute.
Denon's government is, however, exceptionally stable. The corporations that aspire to join the Executive Directorship Board understand a stable government in a turbulent world is for their own benefit; though that doesn't rule out subtle means of undermining an existing Director in order to free up a seat.
- Freedom & Oppression: Under the Corporate Authorities of Denon in the Galactic Alliance, CorpSec earned a ruthless reputation. Riots were put down violently, and in the wake of the assassination attempt on Valery Noble CorpSec locked down an entire District with accompanying dangerous consequences as they hunted for the Darkwire terrorists. The Board at the time had no regard for the people caught in the crossfire, nor the political fallout with the Galactic Alliance's Senate. As a result, Denon was often subjected to numerous investigations and even a Vote calling to curtail the corporate ownership of planets.
When both Darkwire's activities decreased in frequency and the Planeshift happened, the then Corporate Authorities of Denon (CAD) believed it an opportune time to cast off the Galactic Republic, and restore their ironclad control of their world. This occurred over an extended duration of time; a turbulent time with both the markets and planetary security. A former Alliance Senator cast aside as no longer necessary for CAD's purposes rebuilt their power and sought to sway the opinion of the Board in a new direction for Denon. Later this resulted in negotiating a deal with the then-named Royal Naboo Republic, which was later known as The High Republic.
Do Not Fall for Insurrectionist Propaganda
Since that pact, Denon's incident rate with excessive force has been reportedly reduced, and the democratic functions of governments have received renewed focus to tout their alignment with the Republic's democratic ideals. To stabilize local affairs, and to demonstrate their "commitment to the Republic's principles," the Board was reorganized and renamed back into the Corporate Sector Authority. It wouldn't slough off Denon's reputation, but it was marketed as a new day for Denon, its people, and other worlds that were members of the Authority.
In Denon's New Day, as part of re-branding back to the history Corporate Sector Authority, the elected officials -- including the President -- touted the needs of the masses. While work schedules, cost of living, and the ease of firing and hiring workers are often used to control the populace's focus and participation in electoral matters, extending an olive branch of worker-focused initiatives was intended to help mend the shattered spirit of the People. Where the previous Board was utterly dismissive of the Common Folk, certain elements of the new one sought to better utilize optics in their favor. As a result, the complete collapse of societal order seems to have been at least pushed off for a time, and travel advisories could be lifted on the most prosperous Districts.
Should these programs not be received well by the people, however, and the riots persist, CorpSec remains poised and capable of enforcing peace and order on Denon. Officially, efforts have been made to hold their officers to account for excessive force; but at the same time Denon has broached a desire for those with 'concerns' to coordinate efforts to restore the peace -- with outsiders often directed to the extremely hostile zones to in an effort to lessen their fervor of Denon being too heavy handed.
Political and social strife aside, the people of Denon are free and encouraged to enjoy the countless luxuries and products their home has to offer, though not all of them might be entirely legal elsewhere in the galaxy. The more people spend, the more profit the corporations make; a little investment to encourage more visitors goes a long way.
Indisputably, corporations continue to have the lionshare of freedom on Denon. With Denon's focus on commerce and trade, the commodities available to be bought or sold are limitless. Yet local Law governing the quality or safety of said products is not always enforced as intended. Contract Law, however, is extremely strong, but so are the capabilities of the Lawyers on both sides that drafted them. Meanwhile, renewed efforts are being made regarding the toxic water conditions on the planet, and ensuring the stability of power delivery, but calls to increase taxation on the wealthy or delving too deeply into the larger corporations' books have gone largely ignored or otherwise placated. Directors are given considerable leeway in how to manage their own Districts, with corporations their primary customer rather than hostile mobs; if only the Directors of the People knew perhaps things might be different.

- Military:
The primary armed forces of Denon, which defends against threats both internal and abroad, is colloquially known as CorpSec, or Corporate Security. CorpSec officially reports directly to the Executive Directorship Board though certain high ranking officers within the organization may ultimately be loyal to particular Directors; however, any Director found overriding the Board would be held to account, so judicious or clandestine use of such loyalty is exercised. The organization is directed to ensure the safety of the Board, the Corporations, and the People -- largely in that order. Uniforms are black and red, and officers carry both lethal and non-lethal weaponry to subdue subjects.
Only The Best for CorpSec
Personnel are often sporting the latest in enforcement protective equipment, armament, and vehicles to ensure a rapid and effective response to any situation. In the event a novel technological marvel is necessary to track, incapacitate, listen in, or otherwise deal with one or more subjects, ample budget is often available -- though Directors may squabble over whose version of competing product is used, and where the money goes.
Emplacements or vehicles and ships are likewise well-furnished and maintained. Corruption has been known to happen, but with so many Directors competing with one another one of them inevitably launches an audit for gross misconduct and improper allocation of resources; this helps avoid the Corporate Sector Authority's forces from being left without proper response capabilities when bad things happen. The fact the officers' lives are literally on the line, and irate lower-ranked officers could easily turn on corrupt higher-ranked officers, also helps misappropriation of funds.
Corporate Security Divisions- Sector Defense - Responsible for monitoring and coordinating security activity across the sectors and worlds where CorpSec provides security and defense response measures.
- Sector Auditors - Tasked with investigating security breaches and corporate overstep throughout Corporate Sector Authority controlled territories.
- Sector Patrol - Patrol craft and officers that routinely check for enforcement breaches, unlawful activity, and threats to the free-transit of merchandise.
- Sector Intelligence - Clandestine operatives tasked with rooting out threats against the Authority and its assets. At times engage in activities outside of Authority space.
- Orbital Defense - Orbital defense platforms and strategy command against extra-planetary threats or hazards.
- Planetary Defense - Response coordination and strategy command for threats or hazards occurring within planetary atmosphere.
- District Auditors - Local Investigators often tasked with finding culprits of crimes as determined by those closest to the District Director.
- District Patrol - Local Patrol Officers that monitor those disturbing the peace, threatening to organize unruly protests, and engaging in violent crimes.
- Private Security - Guards whose loyalty is to a particular Corporation or Enterprise whose authority is officially limited to their territory.
- Technology: Galactic Standard+. Denon is a world known for trade, but also for research and development for its relatively low corporate tax rates, and lax environmental regulations as there is practically no environment left to regulate. As a result, the corporations often have cutting-edge technology; but this doesn't always translate into its residents having that technology in their hands (unless they're independently wealthy). Situated on the border between the Core worlds and the industrial Southern Reaches of the galaxy, Denon has easy access to resources and off-world advancements, which it takes advantage of routinely.

Long, Long Ago…
Archaeologists, Historians, and Anthropologists believe that Denon was originally a colony of the Rakata some time between 35,000 BBY and 25,000 BBY during the reign of the Infinite Empire. Most believe it likely occurred prior to 33,598 BBY as the Rakata fought to remove the Celestials and their influence from the galaxy. By 25,200 BBY Denon had broken free of the Infinite Empire alongside many other rebelling worlds as the Rakata species rapidly fell into decline.
Shortly thereafter, Denon joined the Galactic Republic as one of its earliest members. Records have been lost, but this is generally accepted to have occurred around 25,053 - 24,169 BBY. The Corellian Run hyperspace route was mapped during this period, which ran through the Denon system.
It wasn't until 17,000 BBY that Coruscant and Alsakan began a fourteen thousand year struggle for the right to be called the capital of the galaxy. These clashes became known humbly as the Alsakan Conflicts where Denon supported Coruscant's claim. While Coruscant managed to hold the upper hand throughout the engagements, Denon made good use of being far from the front lines to catch up with its Core world rival in terms of development and industry. Even when the conflicts shifted from emphasizing capital ships to the use of squadrons, Denon's shipyards adapted quickly to demand.
Contispex I's rise as Supreme Chancellor in 11,987 BBY gave rise to the Pius Dea Era. A fanatic humanocentric religion resulted in Crusades against Outer Rim worlds, which resulted in Alsakan and much of the Axis seceding from the Republic around 11,820 BBY with the Sixth Alsakan Conflict. Soon Inquisitions were launched to excise heresy, as the Caamasi and Jedi Order sought to encourage the Renunciates movement to restore the Republic. In 10,967 BBY the Renunciates declared themselves, and the Seventh Alsakan Conflict began.
Denon weathered these turbulent times the best it could; spared the brunt of the Pius Dea fanaticism, there were planetary struggles among the faithful and the greater secular elements that the people themselves had to contend with as Coruscant was too busy with its Crusades against alien species. When the Pius Dea Civil War began, ships from Denon joined with the bulk of the Republic Navy that defected to aid the Renunciates in restoring the Republic and ended the Pius Dea Era with the arrest of the Supreme Chancellor Contispex XIX.
Nine more Alsakan Conflicts occurred, but grew vanishingly less significant with each passing encounter over time. It took over seven thousand years later before they would come to an end with the Seventeenth Conflict; but not before the Sith had something to say about the fate of the galaxy.
The Great Sith War, otherwise known as the Great Shadow Crusade to the Mandalorians, was a galactic conflict that occurred in 3996 BBY. It was also the first conflict in what is called the Old Sith Wars. Ultimately led by Exar Kun and Ulic Qel-Droma, a series of campaigns were levied against the Republic to pave the way to Coruscant. A fierce conflict that set the galaxy on fire with Denon being no exception as fleets struggled for control over their system along the Corellian Run.
Unlike other great conflicts, Denon was not spared by comparison to Coruscant. Its people set to work rebuilding the damage brought by the conflict between Jedi and Sith, undeterred and determined to be a shining jewel in the galactic community.
A fate repeated nearly forty years later in 3959 BBY during the Jedi Civil War. Fortunately, as happened during the Great Sith War, the Republic forces were victorious, which kept the Sith Empire's forces from laying waste or stripping the world bare.
Two hundred years later in 3703 BBY the Brentaal-Denon hyperroute extended a stable path to the Outer Rim Territories. This would later be incorporated into the super-hyperroute of Hydian Way around 3700 BBY, which ran from one side of the galaxy to the other.
Three hundred years passed in which Denon's industry and development continued. Levels upon levels with seemingly limitless growth in bodies and manufacturing. Raw materials were in great supply as the mining of the second moon had recently begun. Then the Sith Empire's return that led to a Galactic Cold War heated up in 3641 BBY. One of the last defining battles of the Galactic War was in Denon's exosphere in 3637 BBY between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. A fierce war that demanded the construction of ships and cities alike, but a costly one. Darth Malgus, Darth Karrid, the Dread Masters, the Revanites, the Infinite Army, and the Rise of the Eternal Empire made this period a formative, if nightmarish landscape of opportunity.
And while the galaxy grappled with dark tidings, Denon had a scandal all its own. Mass embezzlement resulted in the disappearance of the money reserves of thirty of Denon's most important companies. Though that hardly compared to the Eternal Empire's invasion and occupation of Denon of 3636 - 3631 BBY. The people of Denon revolted resulting in the massacre of protesting civilians. Those tasked to carry out the orders later defected from the Eternal Empire and turned against Emperor Arcann.
It would be another two millennia before something as horrific befell Denon's people. Enough time to build ever higher and amass more influence among worlds. Time enough for its people to forget the travesties of the past and look ever forward…
Toward the thousand years of the New Sith War. With the Galactic Republic in decline, the influence of the Sith rising, and the Jedi becoming more militant in response, Denon was yet again forced to ramp up in a desperate bid to protect the system that fed it. The war raged until the inevitable move on Coruscant came, and the Sith waged battle over Denon itself between 1004 and 1000 BBY. Ever on the road toward the capital and a junction between hyperlanes, it was an economists' dream and a natural waypoint for military forces. The Jedi repelled the dark forces swiftly, minimizing casualties and damage to Denon's infrastructure.
It wasn't until a few decades before The Galactic Empire when one of the most historically prominent examples of contemporary Denon culture is documented in the Archives. Investors from both Denon and Ardru created the Denon-Ardru Mutual, a powerful mining and refinery corporation with operations across the galaxy. An organization whose private security force was claimed to have exercised excessive force and repressed local populations. Some groups even tried to stage rebellions against the company; and in response the company used various means and methods to take over local government and implement law in their favor – allowing for the confiscation of weapons, or the seizure of land.
Later, during the Clone Wars, the 2nd Sector Army was tasked with defending the hyperlane junction at Denon. No matter how much time has passed, the confluence of hyperlanes has always been of strategic significance – and responsible for the planet's continued rise to power despite setbacks. -

The First Galactic Empire...
Despite Denon's long support of the Galactic Republic, when it was reorganized into the first Galactic Empire Denon remained a loyal member world that sought to improve its relations – and position – with the new government. By 4 ABY it had even become an Imperial fortress world. A continued consequence of Denon's strategic position, which resulted in the liberation of Denon by the New Republic in 6 ABY. The New Republic struck from the Spirana system where they'd gained a foothold into the Inner Rim worlds. Their victory in orbit over Denon advanced Admiral Gial Ackbar's plan to encircle the Core Worlds in an effort to capture Coruscant.
Denon remain a stronghold of the New Republic during the Hunt for Zsinj in 8 ABY and the Thrawn campaign of 9 ABY. Despite their support, however, it was forced to surrender to the Empire during Operation Shadow Hand in 10 ABY. A return to being an Imperial fortress world was under way when the Imperial forces began to tear at one another. With Coruscant suffering catastrophic damage in recent wars, Denon sought to leverage the opportunity to position itself as the premiere manufacturing and production center of the galaxy. Imperial interference did little to aid in that endeavor, and Denon was looked upon more to support a particular Moff or Admiral's personal ambitions.
Their suffering would not last long, as the New Republic would drive Imperial control out of the system before 25 ABY. It was the Yuuzhan Vong War that continued to impede Denon's ambitions for the next four years despite the overwhelming need for research and development against such an alien foe. The end of that war did earn Denon the honor of being named [temporary] capital of the Republic, but only until the Yuuzhan Vong's efforts to rebuild Coruscant were completed in 30 ABY much to the chagrin of some, but the relief of others. That the war had left their world relatively untouched this time was a considerable economic boon. -

The Gulag Plague…
In 425 ABY a terrorist released the Gulag Virus on Csilla, which soon spread throughout all of Chiss space. Scientists and researchers from Denon joined others from the Republic in an effort to discover a cure. Despite their efforts, no cure is discovered and by 426 ABY the Outer Rim is enveloped by the plague. As it spread, worlds began isolating themselves in 427 ABY; while panic spread faster than the virus itself, and billions perished as it ravaged the galaxy. By 428 ABY Denon and Coruscant were both afflicted. Containment was meted out harshly in an effort to slow the spread in Denon's packed Districts.
Despite all efforts, billions perish on Denon alone. By the time the plague ran its course over four hundred years, practically all order in the streets had been lost. The economy had long since been brought to a stand still across the galaxy, and efforts to restore some semblance of order on Denon alone took decades (835 ABY). -

A New Age…
Just when civilization was beginning to return, mindless, savage people began spreading a new infection among the living. Without timely intervention by Omega Pyre (AKA Omega Protectorate) to sanitize the 'zombie' threat, Denon would have been left to a gruesome fate by the galactic community none too eager to weather another viral outbreak.
After the Omega Protectorate left Denon, the One Sith moved in to blockade the recovering, industrial world that was still the second-largest by population in the galaxy. The Galactic Republic soon moved in to break that blockade to restore trade, and to prevent the collapse of the recently stabilized government. While their efforts were not as successful as desired, the blockade did break and the One Sith's influence over the system diminished. Around 847 ABY, the Galactic Republic moved in to bring stability and order back to the planet and take back control of District Twelve in particular from the growing criminal underworld.
In short order Denon's new Senator in the Galactic Republic, Ayumi Pallopides, then began to work toward restoring Denon's glory. Yet, Supreme Commander Suravi Teigra Loyalists later contributed to driving the democratic-leaning Exiled Republic members to later evacuate from Denon. -

The Corporate Authorities of Denon…
After 850 ABY, the Metal Lords took advantage of the situation, and sought to use Denon as their Capital of Droid Space. Their plan was to form Embassies on their orbiting platform to establish relations with other people and governments of the galaxy in an effort to establish a droid-organic utopia. An electric dream switched off all too easily. But, soon after the Free Worlds Coalition arrived in orbit with the hope of wrestling back order from chaos.
With the Metal Lords' ambitious dream on hold, the Commenor Systems Alliance sought to move in and re-establish democratic governance for the people of Denon. Former Republic Senator and Denon Representative Macharius Solaire and CSA Representative Kay-Larr, however, reached an impasse at first regarding the handling of HK and the Marduk; but ultimately the CSA agreed not to interfere in the pursuit of capturing or killing those deemed enemies of Denon at the time.
In the aftermath of the Great Galactic War raged, the organization known as Darkwire appeared on Denon with aims to undermine the Corporate Authorities of Denon's hold on the planet, and free the people from their enslavement to the almighty corporations.
Recent disruptions to Denon's markets and Darkwire's appearance contributed to dissatisfaction with both the Authorities, but also with members of Darkwire and their ilk from the inconvenience they caused in supply chain disruptions and CorpSec crackdowns. As a result, the black market on Denon thrived with Hutts, Syndicates, dethroned Metal Lords, and all other manner of criminal element finding legitimacy with members of the public. Meanwhile, Parliamentary elections became little more than a sport among the wealthy, and the Legislature's daily activity was too banal for public notice. A new collective of ultra-wealthy individuals later dubbed 'Corpos' appeared and took advantage of this instability; they replaced parliament with their own Direx Board and cemented Denon's government as a corporatocracy by 858 ABY.
Despite Darkwire's warnings to the people, life on Denon did appear to improve under the Corporate Authorities of Denon's leadership. Supply chains had stabilized, corporations were making record profits, and the people didn't need to wonder who might 'invade' next.
What was not apparent to the everyday citizen, however, were the subtler changes to their society occurring behind the scenes. The Direx Board replaced the standing police and security forces with a hardline Corporate Security, or CorpSec, that delivered peace and tranquility at the end of a baton or blaster. While charged with law enforcement, CorpSec's officers were given broad authority to dispense responsibilities (including enforcement) and responses to criminal activity as necessary – the faster and more effectively suppressing dissent or violations were handled the better.
Overtures were even made to Darkwire by the Corporate Authorities of Denon to encourage them to weaken or topple markets before even setting foot on a new world to bring under their authority. An uneasy, but prosperous peace for both parties. Yet, as their sphere of influence grew, both grew bolder and questions arose within the factions whether there was any longer any need for the other. Aside from the shadow war the public was largely unaware was unfolding around them every day, the Corporate Authorities of Denon directed their efforts to backroom deals, crushing opposition, manipulating markets, creating legislation to justify their actions, and even subverting external governments to encourage seeing things their way. -

Darkwire the Resistance Rises…
Numerous projects were explored to further their interests. One such initiative – Project Brightband – involved the use of advanced Human Replacement Droids (HRDs) that could pass as an Organic in order to infiltrate enemies – corporate or criminal in nature. Its success exceeded their expectations at the start. As it drew on, however, arrogance in their design led to faults enabling people to identify the fake from the real person.
Around 865 ABY a widespread groundquake shook the foundations of multiple Districts across Denon. Despite all the foundation laying and weather control, the planetary mass still managed to slip and churn under their feet. The poorer the region, the more affected by the tremor as shoddily constructed buildings or entire Levels far overdue for maintenance collapsed. The greatest damage struck the Volgho Hollows where much of the District lay in ruins. The MirCir Detention Facility suffered a massive riot in the aftermath of the quake with some inmates managing to escape in the ensuing chaos.
Later, once Darkwire became aware of the duplicity involving HRDs, which had been levied against temp directly as well, their counterattack was directed at the Direx Board itself. The assassination of Quanatain Xopsaloff, Direx member and Bursar of the First Bank of Denon, not only effectively ended Project Brightband, but pushed Denon's markets back to the brink once more. With this one move, the Corporate Authorities of Denon and Darkwire had been set on a collision course with there only being room for one on the planet, and perhaps the galaxy.
In response, in order to stabilize the economic and political landscape, the Corporate Authorities of Denon initiated contact with the Galactic Alliance in order to negotiate favorable terms. A short while after talks concluded, the Direx Board selected Dominique Vexx to be their Senator in the Galactic Alliance. -

The Galactic Alliance…
Members of Darkwire detonate explosives that send the 79th floor of the Hyperi-7 Apartment Complex up in a ball of flame.Shortly thereafter a protest against the Corporate Authorities of Denon at the foot of Sakedo Tower was broadcast live with CorpSec's "heavy handed" response on display. In response to these events, the Senator of Epoch put a proposal to a closed council of Senators regarding the Corporate ownership of Alliance member worlds, and some "basic" or fundamental rights that any such worlds must adhere to in order to be in good standing with the Galactic Alliance. This proposal was later introduced and passed in the Senate despite Denon's strenuous objections (which would be echoed less than a year later).
In 874 ABY, ExO Marlene Starlight of the Corporate Authorities of Denon's Direx Board replaced the former ExO, Fey, the original founder of the Corporate Authorities; evidence suggested Fey had an alter ego as the Storyteller, the head of the Darkwire criminal outfit. In response to this scandal, the newly elected ExO Starlight declared Darkwire a terrorist organization.
The new ExO's rise did nothing to tamper concerns regarding recent instability on Denon, however. The newly elected Corellian Senator, Misha Kaskadov, a Denon native, appealed to the Galactic Alliance Senate about the on-going suffering of the people of Denon, and to demand the Senate step in and declare the Corporate Authorities of Denon an illegitimate government.Dominique Vexx argued against the proposal as matter of sovereignty, and in turn earned the Direx Board's favor. A short while later Darkwire sliced a broadcast into the public channels calling on the populace to unit against the "Corporate Machine," and take back their planet. These events culminated in drawing Valery Noble to Denon to meet with the Direx Board in the interests of peace. What she got was an attempt on her life intended to plunge Denon into open Civil War. An act that prompted the Direx to lockdown the district and hunt down Darkwire at any cost. While the elusive terrorists were able to narrowly get away in the end, after an appeal to Valery Noble herself (skirting around who tried to kill whom), it was a watershed moment for all parties involved.
ExO Starlight issued a statement in 876 ABY regarding the terrible events that'd befallen District Seven and the attack on the Galactic Alliance's "dignitary". The capture of a lone Darkwire agent was hailed (Doc Painless, whose memorial was held in District Nine weeks later), while reassurances of the Corporate Authorities of Denon setting up emergency shelter and provisions were made in an effort to prevent another protest that would get out of hand.
Senator Vexx found Master Noble back at the scene of the crime investigating her own assassination attempt. This prompted the Senator to invite Master Noble to her office in the hopes of allaying suspicion and providing reassurances regarding the long-term forecast for Denon's future.
The Family criminal syndicate then established their foothold on Denon using Moonveil Communications & Holdings, Inc. as a cover in order to make themselves indispensable to the Corporate Authorities of Denon. And it started with a lively All Hallows Eve Party at Reveries. High society life and events such as Fashion Shows were just some of the means used to establish influence and form connections across the planet.
Meanwhile, Dominique appealed to representatives of the Mandalorian Empire for matters related to security; after all, Denon was in the business of equal opportunity enterprise and after recent events a little more security would do wonders. Such efforts weren't restrained to the Mandalorians either as Dominique went on a Public Relations campaign to win back the people's and galaxy's confidence; this included meeting with the former Senator of Denon, Ayumi Pallopides, in order to meet the needs of the People rather than rely merely on political speeches.
The Corporate crackdown of District Seven initiated in the wake of the attempt on Valery Noble's life endured for an extended duration. It forced certain members of Darkwire to seek shelter elsewhere, and to evaluate how best to reunite. At the same time, certain criminal elements saw an opportunity to exploit while CorpSec was busy elsewhere. -

The High Republic…
Time passed and soon history repeated. The Corporate Authorities of Denon came to believe they no longer required the Galactic Alliance to bolster Denon's stability, especially in light of continued efforts to curtail and undermine their authority. As the struggle to remove themselves from the Alliance unfolded, Dominique Vexx's services were no longer necessary and she was cast aside. As fortunate then had it, the Planeshift of 902 ABY struck the galaxy not long afterward, which distracted every galactic government with galaxy-imperiling risk. The Corporate Authorities of Denon took advantage of this chaos to remove the remaining Galactic Alliance influences on Denon and otherwise curtail their Jedi's efforts to interfere in local affairs.
At the same time, Darkwire continued to operate in the shadows to reassemble in the wake of the crackdown still concerned for the fate of their world; especially as Denon sought to shrug off the gains eked out of the Senate over years of cajoling and disruptive activity. To say nothing of their personal losses and brushes with CorpSec's gentle mercies.
What the Direx Board had not accounted for was Dominique Vexx's determination for the betterment of Denon, and by extension herself; and her bitter refusal to be so carelessly cast aside. With a special project developed in the forlorn District Three underway, the former Senator took direct control of it to leverage it to her financial and societal advantage. By the time the Planeshift struck, however, Rachne Industries was already on its meteoric rise. Using every trick she'd learned from cleaning up after the Direx Board, she clawed open a seat by leveraging its existing members using her insider knowledge.
What the Corporate Authorities of Denon managed to claw back, however, was placed in jeopardy once again as the influence of both the Galactic Alliance and the Royal Naboo Republic collided over Denon. Its historic significance for trade, commerce, and industry made certain one galactic government would claim jurisdiction to keep the other out from imposing their laws and policies. Yet again, Denon was forced to choose. Having already witnessed the inclination of the Galactic Alliance against their world and way of life, the Direx Board invited the Royal Naboo Republic's delegates to the world to feel out where they stood with relation to the Corporate Authorities of Denon – or, officially, toward Denon.
Having spent time managing the Galactic Alliance Senate, Dominique Vexx took it upon herself to welcome the delegation to Denon in District One. They were afforded every possible accommodation and luxury during their time on Denon. Some refused the overtures out of an abundance of caution of impropriety, however. While Denon's history with protests – and Darkwire – inevitably surfaced, the overall tone and outcome of the meeting was surprisingly positive. As a Republic touting all the hallmarks of a free and democratic society, the Direx were left wondering if they simply were naive or desperate enough for a world that could rival Coruscant itself. Many of them believed it was both. The choice was then obvious, and one that Denon yet again entered into willingly with the belief the Board would manipulate the system to their advantage.
Thereafter, the Royal Naboo Republic entered into fashioning a new trade route in the Southern reaches of the galaxy known as the Five Veils. Once Dominique found out about it, after being newly inducted as now the Royal Naboo Republic's Senator for Denon, she offered up a proposal to have the planned route extended a little further North to its natural convergence point at Denon. It was not, however, a venture without its challenges as a nefarious shadow organization sought to monopolize the trade route, and would go to any lengths to see that it happened. Dominique, however, had no compunctions meeting such a foe on the economic and physical field of battle with CorpSec and an army of analysts and litigators.
In the wake of the Royal Naboo Republic renaming itself as The High Republic, Dominique Vexx along side Castor Crane, former ExO of Etti IV and recently added fellow Direx Board member, it was time for a similar change on Denon as well. Much as they had done to begin a new era by renaming themselves as the Corporate Authorities of Denon, they sought to do so again by becoming the Corporate Sector Authority. The wheel of history truly had turned, but would the sins of the past repeat or could they find a way to break the cycle?
