SETTING INFORMATION
  • Structure Name: Apartment #87
  • Classification: Apartment
  • Location: 7294 Village Park Living, Misery-Upon-Dream, Denon
  • Affiliation: Daiya
  • Accessibility: A private apartment located in an unrestricted building.
  • Description: A tiny apartment situated in a low-class building in the Twilight Zone of Denon. It's very affordable and built in a minimal style, designed to fit a trend of occupants that desire organization and simplicity over aesthetics. The building has little in the way of amenities, like others in the ward it is in a functional state of disrepair, it only seems to look nice and work well on the surface. Climate controls can sometimes go on the fritz for days, leaving the building too hot, and heated water for showers is a rarity. The apartment functions well as a place to sleep and provide storage, anything beyond that would have cost more than Daiya can afford.
POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Wall of Art - A single wall by the door and refresher, which Daiya painted with art of her own design. It is both inspirational and aspirational for her developing skills in art and otherwise.
  • Bed - A cozy bed situated right by a small window, offering ambient lighting and a decent view without having to get up. The bed doubles as a place to sit and relax, with much of Daiya's personal entertainment and comfort items stashed around the bed. It is rarely made up, except right after the bedding has been laundered.
  • Lockers - Just some metal compartments built into the structure, with doors to keep them closed. They have shelves inside to hold items, and one has a rack to store hung clothing like dresses and jackets.
  • Kitchenette - Barely large enough to deserve the title. Set between the refresher and the limonaia, it has a small cooling chamber and cupboards for food storage, a caf distiller for making caf, and a heating plate for cooking in a pot or pan. No sink and little counter space, it functions only well enough to be an alternative to nothing at all.
  • Refresher - Behind the only door dividing rooms, the refresher contains a small sink, toiler and shower for hygenic purposes. The sink is the only potable water source in the apartment as well, so it is sometimes used to aide in cooking or cleaning.
  • Limonaia - An oxygen garden to supplement the building's crude climate control systems. The plants growing here provide enough oxygen and process enough carbon dioxide alone for one and a half persons.
  • Dining and Workspace - A board mounted on crates and couple chairs that Daiya uses for workspace and eating. Usually filled with clutter or supplemental storage for things better organized elsewhere.
  • Main Window - Just a window to look out of, opposite the wall of art. A nice view sometimes, and a reminder of just how far below the sunlight Daiya lives. Has digital blinds to close off the ambient light at night.

SECURITY
Low - The only security here is that which Daiya provides for herself. A lock on the door and physical objects to barricade it can keep her safe while inside. A few blasters are stashed around the apartment in addition to her carried weapons as well. A very determined individual or moderately-equipped security force could break in without much resistance.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Once Daiya was on her own, she stayed for a time at a safehouse owned by Shenn Rosham Shenn Rosham until the raid on the Blue Flame occurred. That highlighted a need for the teenager to live someplace where CorpSec couldn't easily connect her to Darkwire. Living job to job, with a barely steady income, this apartment was one of the few within her means and the only one with a decent view. Unable to afford better security or amenities, Daiya tries to live without much attachment to her apartment. She keeps enough food and clothes for a girl her age to survive, and always keeps a packed duffel bag in case survival means going on the run.
