Rebellion Rebellion | Fires over Kesh - The Bryn'adûl v The Kesheri Imperium

Alexandra Feanor

The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian
Objective: 1

Forces: See Solan Charr's post

Location: Western Defenses

Equipment:

Alexandra settled into her stance as she looked on, her silvered robes moving around her like water and walking along the western trenches and battle lines, waiting for the arrival of the enemy as she moved with her hands crossed behind her back. The blade at her side, her sabers beside it, as she walked still and watched the sky. Fighters would launch, airfields within Gyn and those sent to follow the enemy would find Hrajlmak'Natok Hrajlmak'Natok air support under fire itself. The City's heavy anti-air turrets coating the sky and cutting out the strafing fighters where they could. She blinked as she felt the heat as a few shots landed in a trench nearby, a man killed instantly, another harmed and likely to lose an arm.

She watched this but moved on, looking for targets that these soldiers would be unable to deal with. Alexandra looked on out over the reaches, staring and wondering just what would be coming as her hands clenched tight. They were coming, she could feel it and her feet stopped. Soldiers would soon be reacting too, turrets, turbolaser platforms, rifles and repeater cannons firing out at the charging enemies. The approaching beasts and monsters as she herself reached down and undid her robes. The silvered waves leaving her body as the wind caught them and leaving her there in an armor she had long thought she would never need to use.

Her hands gripped the sabers, her breathing slowed as time seemed to slow and when the first demon of a creature would come close, she would charge forward, past the trench works. She would not go far, but far enough to stand with her weapons ready and to cut down the first creature that came close. Those who wouldnt would find her more than capable of holding her own at range, though she had fought vong in the past and knew biological races like the vong preferred physical weaponry over energy ones, ready to expect slugthrowers and the likes.

The shields of Gyn were being hit, and hard. Scherezade could feel the vibrations, a smile on her face as she looked up to get a better view. How much slaughter and carnage would happen once they came down? How many of the promised monsters would come to play? A speech sounded on the open comms. Scherezade smiled, and switched it off. She'd heard such speeches hundreds of times before, and she didn't need a morale boost. Her blood itched beneath her skin and tickled, waiting to flow with the adrenaline in the wake of battle.

Looking to the redhead and the Sith beside her, the Blood Hound grinned.

"Do you think monsters have enough brain power to figure out that they can walk through these types of shields?" she asked as he removed a small paper bag from her pocket, opened it, and offered it to the others before digging in herself. Of course, the contents of that paper bag consisted entirely of various cheese cubes. Cheese cubes were life. Anyway, her question wasn't entirely one of mockery. She hadn't known that with the first few such shields she'd faced. If her memory server right, it was only on Taanab that she was told she could just walk through it. It had been a big oh moment for the SIthling.

And who were those monsters anyway? Scherezade herself was considered 'crazy' enough to go tackle a krayt wearing nothing but her underwear and come out entirely wounded, probably close to death, but still victorious. Yet about these creatures, there was precious little information that she had received. 'Big and strong' were all she was told, and so she'd brought a variety of weapons to handle it.

Well no, she'd have brought the same variety of weapons to almost any situation that assured violence. But still, it was always nice to feel prepared.

Of course, she had no clue about what other creatures lurked in the shadows today.

"Wanna run bets on how long it takes them to figure it out?" she offered, "Five hundred credits say over an hour."

The Primarch was one of few Draelvasier who were sent back to the Fleet, arriving to make preparations for Hadad's deliverance. Arriving on the Carrier, the Primarch was confronted with the sight of the great beast, Hadad was closest in scale to ancient Paeldrak creatures, born of Sraeljoarsk. The colossal Servitor stretched over nearly four thousand metres in length, the black scaled beast had no eyes - none Drek'ma had ever seen. Its grey carapace seemingly stretched as far as he could see, it was seemingly endless. Even though they all knew there was an eventual end to Hadad, the mind played tricks when you were presented with something so primordial.

He wondered if it knew he was looking at it, or if it would ever know if it was looking at him. The Primarch stared into its gaping maw, an endless void. The Shaman had seen the endless void of space, but the living nature of Hadad was enough to make even him shudder. The Shaman extended his telepathy to the massive beasts, every time it was like the first time. The darkness of the creatures mind echoed through his, its thoughts or lack there of spoke of nothing, all that remained was an instinctual hunger. It existed to feed, to survive. As Drek'ma touched its mind, Hadad growled - the air temporary turning into a storm, his body shook, shivering in response to the great wind. Hadad had no respect for any but the Chieftain himself, dominating the creature was a seemingly impossible task. But, Drek'ma could feel its power, so much raw power.

He tapped into that, he fed its hunger with the delights of anticipation - it knew if it succumbed to his will it would be unleashed and thus Hadad succumbed to the powerful Shaman's mind, its bestial nature was prominent - powerful, all Drek'ma could hope to do was direct it. Hadad would serve their purpose, he was their greatest instrument of destruction and today he would bury Gyn in the sea. The Carrier descended into orbit at incredible speed, escorted by twenty Ra'maks, the Carrier joined with the descending thirty-eight Ra'maks from Tathra's fleet.

Above in the sky, the Carriers of the Invasion fleet deployed their remaining Squadrons to the surface, a total of three-hundred additional Squadrons of Phedrak fighters dipped toward orbit, joining the others inbound towards the planet. A haze of nine thousand Phedrak fighters came down toward the planet surface, performing strafing runs and some small attacks. However, of course - as Tathra had requested the Bryn'adûl held back. Waiting.

The Conquesters of the initial invasion force began to open fire on the vulnerable fleet of Kesh, primarily focusing their weapons on the Cruisers the Shields were being generated by. Hundreds of Ballista's fired at once, massive spiked shards fired toward the back of their ships.

Once the Carrier had landed, the Primarch departed via Orkale Gunship, he'd need a birds eye view. The Carrier had landed a fair distance away from their forces, closer to the other side of Gyn. From there, the Carrier retracted itself like a mechanical cocoon- the ground would shake for miles, rumbling as the very earth would crack - Hadad alongside his six Servitor brethren would begin to descend under the earth. The M'gaelak Siege Towards deployed on the edge of the Quilxyn Shield, deploying their own Shields.

Drek'ma could feel everything, the dirt - the suffocating darkness of the underground, the great black tendrils of Hadad tore at the very earth; its mass moving in a circular motion as the beasts was directed toward the city of Gyn.

Bazh'Thu, with his Malabast staff-mace in hand, glimpsed on the multitudes of mass-graves that rested the Coalition remnants upon the misty Keshiri jungles. Alongside the Shaman stood the Brutes of the Tenth Regiment, stockpiling their precious spoils of war in the form of the flesh and blood of men, The wretched carcasses of the Coalition soldiers lay wasted beneath their feet, upon the feeble footings of a once-mighty Empire, with their bones desecrated and their fleshes torn. As the tidings of war come to the Crusade's favor, the Deep Space Coalition met its demise. The Bryn'adûl Crusaders enthroned themselves victors in their decisive campaign against the Wild Space's "last hope", scavenging and butchering the frail men's remains to feast upon. At the behest of their Chieftain, the forces of the Bryn'adûl rained down eternal fire upon the final strongholds of the Coalition, putting an eternal eclipse to their foes' unrighteous cause. Throughout the campaign against the Coalition. the Beast Master masterfully held the Brutes' lust for blood and war with utmost authority. Yet circumstances have changed, for his soul yearned to revitalize his inner connection to the Cosmic Force once again. Bazh'Thu's thoughts were clouded, as a newly-arrived challenger awakened from the depths of the very same ground that they stood upon. With no time to waste on inconsequential festivities, Bazh'Thu departed alone from his brethren immediately into his own course to seek guidance with the Cosmic Force.

Bazh'Thu delved deeper into the more-arboraceous portions of the quiet wood lands. His Malabast-constructed staff rested within his deathly-pale grasp, as its blades dripped dark-red liquid.. The Shaman Beast Master was donned in natural bone plate armour, embedding a thin layer of Verikast chain-mail. In self-isolation from his Drael brethren, the Beast Master had taken the arboreal path to seek refuge from the enemy he had foreseen in his visions. In every footstep he took upon the fertile soil, the Earth rumbled with all might, as the creatures it housed fled in terror of the Beast Master's elephantine figure. With his quarter-staff in hand, Bazh'Thu ascended up on to a hill formation, in hopes of finding a lone sanctuary for him to engage himself in self-contemplation.

At the Beast Master's ascent towards the mountain ranges, the Draelvasier runes imperiously engraved on Bazh'Thu's clay tablet suddenly set alight upon his touch. The stone artifact glimmered brilliantly, as it emitted a glow of amber colour, The aura that emanated from the mystical object grew within the Shaman's thoughts. In his visions, Bazh'Thu saw the mighty Chieftain, who had come to aid, along with myriads of Beasts and Drael alike under his authoritative command. The once-vivid blue skies that surrounded Kesh were engulfed by thick clouds of pitch-black smoke discharged by the Drael machineries of war, as they triumphantly sounded their arrival.

The blood-thirsty legions of Brutes and Zealots, donning the finest of Barad weaponry and armour with them, raucously chanted songs of war, as they stood upon the platforms of the titanic Ra'maks on their descent, The Drael Warriors, fresh from the war-torn world of Eadu, fueled themselves with instinctual blood-lust and rage, as it flowed within their thoughts. Their distaste for thriving Weakness, and their ever-lasting love for Man-slaughter were marked within their spirits. In the center of the Darkness, a great City of renown laid their heretical defenses against the incoming Crusade in hopes of deterring the invaders' advance, as their champions of bold stand ground, manning their pagan weaponry, and waiting for the impending onslaught to come.

Bazh'Thu arose from his trance, lifting his cadaverous hands from the mystical stone. The rune markings of his Draelvasier tablet dimmed quickly at the absence of its Master's touch. Standing upright over an intact boulder, the Beast Master proclaimed Death over their sinful enemies, and Life never-ending for his Drael brethren. Raising his quarter-staff on to the howling winds, Bazh'Thu bellowed out a deeply intense and thunderous roar, as its inordinate sound plunged down upon the forest floor, echoing with all vigor. Within the Shaman's pale, blanched flesh, blankets of white fog began to appear upon his mere presence. The pale shroud continued to condense itself, veiling the presence of the Shaman Beast Master out of sight. The concentrated mass of clouds descended upon the wood lands, moving its direction to the path that leads toward the hopeless City of Gyn.

" You dare oppose the might of the Bryn'adûl.
For your sinful acts, you must receive eternal punishment.
Now, you heathen warriors must pay.
"

Battlefields were inherently places of chaos interspersed with the slightest bit of order. One such point of order could be found in the many Sraelvun drone majors currently involved in the conflict. Whereas savage drones were deployed as very literal meat-shields, and were used to weaken points of substantial enemy concentration, many drones still needed to obey some degree of conscious order and didn't have the luxury of unthinking animalistic behavior. For those intelligent pushes, a major was required to lead the relatively unthinking drones to victory, following the commandments issued by their Baedurin and Aeravalin betters.

Osam ducked a split second before a particularly heavy blaster bolt caught him squarely in the head, the shot whizzing by without harm. Landing had been the responsibility of someone else, but now that he was here on the ground, alongside the Rhivaks and his drone kindred, he had taken on his role as if though he had been born for it... he almost had. Spotting the offender who had fired upon him, he directed his squad to the enemy's position with a shrill noise, jutting his spiker towards the foe as a rain of spiker shots fell upon them.

With one threat brought to death, Osam listened intently for additional orders as his seven-man drone squadron continued forward, performing the will of their immediate superior, and of their ultimate master in the process.

Salis heard Solan Charr Solan Charr and his speech. Not that she really cared for it herself. It wasn't meant for her though. She wasn't here for them, she was here for the enemy and for the Red Dragon. She chuckled to herself as she watched the enemy send in droves of Drone Battalions and these massive creatures (Obalisc) fired upon the city. Thank goodness for the city's shields, in turn of course, both her forces ad the cities defenses started firing. They had the advantage of being already set up and on defense, meaning they had tanks, droids, and turrets a plenty sending out the heavy firepower at these oncoming targets. Salis herself began sending out focused blasts with the paladin blaster rifle as they started getting in rage. Aiming for heads and throats intent on removing as many as possible before they actually made it to the front lines. They'd be forced to slow down before getting past the shields, which left even more time for the forces to shoot them down.

She let out a chuckle as the enemy forces began to get closer, "Let them have it." she said simply, all her droids firing, along with the attacks of the astro-class-lx-combat-freighter, easily enough firepower to take on tanks let alone the drones that were trying to rush the city. Salis herself had a more interesting plan in mind, using the force allowing her to leap up, grabbing her ship and tossing herself onto it's roof while she slung her rifle around her back. She gave a chuckle, "Give us a run."she said into her comm talking to Zepher. Quickly the ship began to move, racing across the edges of the battlefield keeping it's vulnerable points away from the enemy as it began releasing an assault from it's turrets and laser cannons into the enemy as Salis laughed to herself, taking shots at them as she did so. Her interest quickly changed however and she pulled back as she sensed something, and saw the smoke of Bazh'Thu Bazh'Thu begin to form. But more importantly, sensed Bazh'Thu Bazh'Thu himself.

Her smile grew even wider, "We have a new target. Open the doors." she ordered swinging herself around to get inside her ship, to pilot it. This was going to require the hands of a force sensitive to accomplish. A wicked sensation grew upon her as she began to weaver her way directly into the smoke as it grew, feeling through the force for threats to herself and her ship. But especially for the location of the enemies. Long before she actually drew near, she started firing. An onslaught of the two Laser Cannons, two ion cannons, and two Quad Laser Turrets all were sent after the nearest being she sensed and then she changed direction completely. Although the ion cannons might be less effective against beings, it should cause damage for the technology that they did have. They might be able to cause damage to their weapons, while the rest might at least pose some threat depending on the armoring and size of the creatures it hit, "Shoot at the ground forces then drop me out. Get out of here and I'll call if I need help. Return to behind the city shield." she ordered rushing out to the back of the ship as Zepher once again took control, attempting to use the blasters to fire on them while the ships shields took a few hits before Salis leapt out from the back, leaving her paladin rifle behind as she plummeted towards the ground and Zepher flew off focusing on evasion.

The woman landed, and with that landing came a terribly gleeful laugh,
"Let's dance!" she challenged and began rushing the rest of the way, her saberstaff entering her hands as both blades ignited while she kept her left hand free for movement. She could sense the shaman, sense their power, sense the joy she was going to derive from this. The Shaman and his troops would have only a spare few seconds to react to her landing before she was within striking distance of him, using the force to accelerate her speed and reflexes. These creatures would be hard to hurt, as she often did not increase he strength. But through the force, anything could die.

Until a few moments ago, Alwine Lechner, Head of the Speakers, was mighty pleased with herself. In her endeavor to convince the very people that had given her purpose that they could use to redefine their routes of action, she had been sent to Kesh in order to offer them a deal – that they would be aided by the Agents of Chaos, if they gave up the Imperium part by releasing territory once they had proved to successfully defend their capital planet. For once, they were not here to swing swords at the locals, not here to push everyone off. No. This time, the Agents of Chaos had come to actually aid in the protection of a planet. It had made her proud.

For all of five minutes.

When the deal had been made, Alwine had imagined something on a much smaller scale. Known enemies. Something… That was different than this. And, she failed to imagine the glee of some of their people when told they were here to kill an enemy that was simply described as monsters. But, she had seen it all before. She knew of it. So why had it taken her by surprise? To that, she had no simple answer.

Initially, the job of her and the people with her ( Anse Baenshaol Anse Baenshaol and Dexter Zytros Dexter Zytros ) wasn't even to be here. The former had been asked to come in case of required mechanic repairs were needed on the go, and the latter… Frankly, she wasn't entirely certain, for it was a new person she had yet to meet, and she hadn't had the time to review his file prior to them coming here. They were meanly meant to wait somewhere safe in the distance until their people were ready to return to the Unknown Regions.

But of course, life happened while plans were made, and suddenly they were needed. An urgent request from the Keshians had come, as in all their own planning, the planet's shields had not been fired up. Alwine could not pretend to understand it. Even during her Warrior days, she fought on the ground and did not meddle with affairs of technology. Things such as shields up were a given that someone else had to deal with.

But not this time.

So she's grabbed two people for the mission. One, because like her, he could shift into a wolf. The second, because of a gut feeling. She prayed the gut feeling would not come back to haunt her.

Their pods had dropped them in the city, but at the precise location they needed.

"Five hundred meters, that direction," Alwine said and pointed as she studied the holomap, "A bridge to cross about four hundred meters from here, and then it should be simpler. Let us hope that the monsters s do not breach the city before we get there. I suggest we run."

In orbit -

When the Phedrak Fighters drew close, the Keshiri fleet retaliated - opening fire on the incoming swarm of Phedrak, however they could not cover every angle. The Phedrak Fighers danced through the endless void of space, their speed enhanced by the very recent jettison from their Carriers allowed many to close the distance between themselves and the Keshiri fleet whilst others, hundreds of Fighters were annihilated in plasma and flak fire from their enemy fleet. But for every fighter destroyed, many Phedraks swarmed around their enemies shits, blanketing the entire area in shards and fire. They were a swarm, and unending swarm. The individual fighters of the Keshiri would find themselves matched by hundreds of Phedrak Fighters - dodging it all would've been impossible if not for the intervention of a force user. Some Phedrak Fighers spun out of control, crashing into one and other - it was a valiant effort. But there were simply thousands of them, thousands more.

Throughout the expanse of space around Kesh, four Carriers were destroyed by the impressive firepower of the Keshiri Fleet, whilst another two were destroyed by an explosion of dozens of seismic charges. A few hundred of the Phedraks turned their focus on the bomber vessels whilst the others continued to swarm the fleet and its fighters. The Conquesters deployed their Debauchers toward the enemy vessels, those that got close would latch onto the Keshiri Ships, and begin the process of Vampirising their energy. The Bryn'adûl didn't care about casualties, especially not of fodder. They would do anything and everything to win.

The Conquesters continued to fire, each ship carried two-thousand Ballista's firing all they had at the enemy fleet whilst the Invasion force began to open fire from behind as well. The remaining thirty eight Ra'maks would initiate their tri-beam, all four-hundred and fifty-six of their modular plasma cannons connecting into one massive, continuous beam of powerful solar ion capable of surpassing conventional shielding directed at the largest ships in the enemy fleet.

Planetary -

The dispersal pod landed, Tathra took his Axe in hand, red vapour igniting from its crystalline Beard. The dispersal pods hatch opened with the pull of a latch, the sizzling vapours of red energy gushed out from the confines of the Pod as opaque golden eyes glowed with a fierceness previously unseen in the Chieftains eyes. Today, he was here to prove a point not only to the weaklings of Kesh - but to his own kind. To rise against adversity, to rise above and seek strength - become its harbinger. That was their way. The Bryn'adûl required education.

Tathra did all but stall his hand from grasping the throat of the nearest creature, stomping with hot vapour pouring out from his nostrils. The molten-blooded Draelvasier looked to the Field Marshall, whom had no doubt awaited his arrival. Anger bubbled beneath the surface as the Titan looked with unforgiving judgement upon every. Single. Thing.

He had been appraised of the entire situation during his descent, he had no time for pleasantries now. The Keshiri forces anti-air cannons would not relent upon their shields, and their shields were not infinite.

Tathra raised his Gauntlet; "Planetary Ra'maks, configure to Solar Ionization. Configure Tri-beams and target their anti-air."

The Titans gargantuan torso anchored around to the present Shaman with great speed, the Shaman visibly recoiled - afraid for his life. "Deploy the Seekers, target their bunkers, vehicles and turrets!"

In unison, the fifty units of Seekers deployed in their groups of hundred - moving with incredible speed a few metres under the earth until they reached the ground beneath the Kesh defences. In seconds, a few thousand corrosive explosions capable of tearing apart heavy vehicles would attack throughout the defensive lines of the Keshiri Imperium, aiding the swarming Savage Drones as they died in hundreds but attacked in a massive horde, pouring out from the Dispersal pods dotted throughout the defensive line.

In the sky, the Squadrons of Phedrak Fighters combined into one large force of nearly ten-thousand fighters, now in atmosphere - their screams would be audible. The organic ships split into two groups, as two-thousand of them split off to head directly for Gyn - suicide bombing the city. The others began targeting all hostile craft outside of the shield. The fifty-eight Ra'maks in the sky split off into groups of three with the remainder tagging along. They activated their tri-beams, opening fire on the shield. Their targets - the defences of Gyn.

A grin of merciless satisfaction dragged over the Bryn'adûl Chieftains face, he turned - raising his fist. All eyes were upon him, and they knew what it meant. The Shamans among them ordered the floating Quilxyn force, the massive M'gaelak Siege Towers roared so that all would know the Bryn'adûl were coming. All throughout the city, the bellows of the M'gaelaks would be heard, the horns of war sounded as Tathra would lead the forward march of their mobile-protected force toward the City.

The speech fell on mostly deaf ears for Leo. She was either dead by tomorrow or she wasn't. There was no point in hope or praying or believing in an outcome. It either was or wasn't....
As the woman next to her spoke Scherezade deWinter Scherezade deWinter , Leo would smirk under her helmet.
"Probably not.... enough to shit away from their food and fire the big guns at it, I'd say." Leo's cold and metallic voice to would sound, neutral, toneless, gender less, fearless. Her head would turn now cocking slightly as the proposition of the bet came.
"... I'm on for a bet.... though I doubt they will be walking through those shields in an hour.... they are going to break them.... Look at them... so many... and they aren't playing nice.... I say we have minutes not hours. If I'm wrong.... I'll pay up if we live to see tomorrow." The flat tone would hide the light spirit Leo had, she didn't actually care too much either way.
She would look up at the shields taking the pounding before shaking her head.
" I'm Leo by the way.... just in case you need to know who to looking for when the times up." Hold up a hand of fingers closing one after each second, closing her fist as the alarm for the shield breach would sound.
" Oh Look at that....." She'd say shaking her head before opening her hand again to her men this time.
"Stand ready!"
Turning back to Scherezade deWinter Scherezade deWinter .
"Lead the way, We'll follow and flank you."
It's go time boys and girls, finally some real action.

In all honesty Dex had joined the agents of chaos out of utter and sheer boredom. His contacts had been dry for awhile and having no more money to drink himself into an early grave, royally sucked.
So he found himself as useful to someone who passed his name around and some how he wound up here.... in this shit hole..... in the middle of a war.... absolutely marvelous.
Still, at least he might make some money from this hell hole.... no one said a 5 finger lift was out of bounds.

Once out of his pod he'd group with his team. Eyeing each of them up for a moment.
One was already talking and making all the decisions so he supposed for now he was following this one.
He'd toss up his hood with his as he glanced in the direction they were going to be heading, his other taking out a metal flash of bitter smelling liquid. The muscles in his twitching as he drank it before slipping it back in his breast pocket.
"No point in lolligaggin then." He'd say smoothly as his foot scooted back and kicked his staff up so his other hand could catch it, he wasn't fancy or flamboyant with his weapon, he carried it lazily and it seemed almost too light in his grip to actually do much damage.
Then they were running and he would follow. Already thinking of a nice cold drink later.

"Sir, I don't know what your idea of fun is, but when you told me that it was just beginning... I don't think our definitions quite match up," Harlow grumbled. Three hundred years did a lot to disillusion a man from war. Harlow's superior however, stood at a tenth of his age, and sat i the trenches with a wild grin on his face. Ducking down as another solar beam raked across the ground, the Valde cherished the rain of dirt which rained down on him from the impact.

"Alright. Time to get our heads up! Wild dogs! Fire on the eyes! Harlow, radio in and have the missile droids do the same!" Rising up from the trench, Vulpesen found himself faced to face with a horde of crimson creatures. Each one snarled, growled and cursed at him. They wanted to rend his flesh from his bones and devour him... They wanted to raze the planet and turn it to dust. Fury pounded in Vulpesen's heart as he raised his hand and called on the force, now known to him as the spirit of the wilds. If there was ever a time to show me you have a will... and that that will is done through me... its now. Like an opening floodgate, the force poured through Vulpesen, his body acting as a conduit for its power. His men unleashed fury from their weapons, a hail-fire of blasters that hammered on the enemy personnel. But Vulpesen unleashed an entirely different hell altogether. As if they'd dived into a storm cloud, several squads of the Bryn'Adul invaders would find themselves caught in a blast of golden electrical energy. Fueled by Vulpesen's desire and instinct to protect the planet it was an all consuming onslaught of force judgement. If they wanted Gyn, they would pay for every inch. "You want this position? COME AND TAKE IT!"

Grenadiers bombarded their advance, snipers took down specialized targets and support gunners didn't even bother with aiming as they mowed down the waves ahead of them. For any enemy that came close, a flurry of fire and ice was ready to meet them as the Huskies stepped up.

Even within the inner edges of the city, the other half of his forces were preparing themselves, shooting at whatever they could hit. Unfortunately every pass of the Ra'Maks left them huddled into their buildings, only able to listen to the screams of comrades who's limbs were turned to ash. They needed help and freedom, something which would come as the radiomen transferred orders down to the city's defenses. 76 Ra'Maks causing trouble for the Vitae and allied forces. 500 Hyperion droids were being diverted to change the course of the skies. Wild dogs hurled missiles like their lives depended on it, aiming for the weakest points they could. And 500 droids against 76 drifting beasts gave them that much more to dodge.

Solan would watch as the enemy landed far off, the force twisting and mangled as the lives of many creatures stood out there, the darkside of the force twisting in his hands as he smiled and looked on at the forming armies as they began to encircle his home. The Sun still in the sky, the enemy still wide out in the open and he smiled as he watched them start to move on the city. The fighters above would become a threat, but as long as the shield for the city remained up, it would limit the use of those fighters, it would keep the combat ground level if the outer trenches fell... but then there was something new. Some kind of flying serpents gathered in the sky, firing and slamming into the shield, but bypassing it as well. They would be targetting the anti air towers.

Though Solan found another equally dangerous threat on his mind the moment his head began to turn and the force shifted greatly. The moment of life forms, normally was not all that noticeable alone. One or two individuals could escape notice if the one in question was not actively looking for them but Solan's eyes had been abandoned to the force and his head turned towards the enemy. It was something coming, something fast and his hand gripped at the darkside, twisting it in his hand and confused when he saw nothing. But then, his eyes turned down and noticed the mass moving under the ground.

It was this that both made him interested but drew his hand forward as he used a power that Romeo Sin had taught him long ago. For a moment nothing would happen but infront of him the grass would begin to wither and die, life drained from them, spreading out like a cone as he continued to take in more and more, reaching for the creatures heading the way of the defenses. He would not be able to stop them all, but a thousand, maybe two, would be enough as he gave himself over to the dark and screamed out, all life being stripped from the ground between him and his targets as he sucked it into his body. His veins turned ebony, darkening further as his body shook and his grip on the saber in his hand tightened. His skin become white as marble, his eyes closed and his hair further fading.

He continued though as the wound on his hand reopened, blood starting to run from his palm down his arm, keeping it raised and stopping as many of the creatures before they even reached the line, draining from them any and all life they had then and there in the field as he fell to one knee and his nose began to bleed too. His hand remained up, continuing to kill as many of these creatures as he could but it would not be enough. Even as creatures fell below the ground, dying before reaching their targets, more would do so and the sound of people becoming victims to this acid attack, the sound of vehicles and droids taken out of commission, made Solan scream out in anger at these monsters taking from him his home and his people. They would all die!

With that his hand finally lowered, stopping as many of the seekers as he could and breathing heavily, his saber no longer in his hand as he knelt there, several of his legionnaires helping him into shelter as the battle continued and shots were being sent at the enemy forces. Screecher missile droids unleashing their payloads on the approaching creatures and repeater laser cannons from the Revenants sounded like rain, streaking past the trenchworks and towards the Bryn. Solan himself would take a minute to recover enough strength to hold his saber, to stand and to look from the trenchworks, still consumed by the dark now as his hand was bandaged up and his nose wiped clear of the blood.

"Aithne." He reached to grab his comm, speaking to his daughter above them in command of the fleet. "Conduct operation Immolation. Hold out as long as you can, atleast until the planetary shields are back on. As soon as the shields are on, escape with the fleet and call for help... You must hold, no matter how many die. And bring hellfire upon those down here... I want to see them burn." Solan did not wait for a response from his daughter as he started walking along the trenches, staring out and looking for the signature of the one leading these monsters. His mind reached out, searching for a controller, a hive mind, or any mind that was more prominent and when he found a few he gave them a clear message.

Before he could send the message, another feeling caught him as he looked up, seeing tens of thousands of fighters coming down. Those aiming for the city would find that the moment they impacted the shield at high speeds, they would be turned to paste, the shield designed for only slow traffic through it to protect the city from projectile weaponry... but anything targetted outside the shield would be quickly reduced, the rain of living weapons coming down and coating the trenches with detonations and suicide strikes. It was amusing that he and the demon had had similar ideas... though not the same.

"Demons, Monsters, and all other filth that can hear this..." He would project to the minds of those more prominent in the force.

"Come for me, the emperor of the Keshiri await's you. Unless you fear what will come of you in facing me, then hide behind your tricks and your drones." He waited, hunkering down and keeping his own presence clear in the force. If any of these monsters could sense it, it would be easy to find him, especially as he continued to drain from the dying and the dead life force, twisting it around his form as visible shadows flicked about before disappearing again.

Shields...really, they employed shields. Well, that was kind of unexpected, but not at all out of her calculations, even if they had shields, the Rhivaks would not be stopped as they weren't projectiles nor were they detestable machines, they were beasts of war and some mere shields would not be able to hold their brute force at bay for as long as these annoying defenders would hope they'd last. "Tell the drones to retreat with me, have the Brute captains in command of the Rhivaks and the Brumaks, I want themto tear down those defenses without any restraint," Turning her back to the obalisks and brute companies, Hraelga retreated her drone companies to a point where they'd be harder to spot by the defending forces of the megacity, with the arrival of the invasion forces under the command of the chieftain himself, the Marauder thought it best to be a bit bold and create an opening for the invasion force to act as the hammer of fate upon those pesky opponents that stood in the way of the glorious Bryn'adûl crusade.

Arriving at her intended location, she and her drones surrounded a large tunnel which had been burrowed by the Servitor she had been given under her command. It was best to let the defenders at the very least have some semblance of safety in their mind, a spark of hope, which would make the realization of defeat all the more painful and all the more crushing.

Jumping into the tunnel, the Marauder motioned the entirity of the drone batallions to follow her, which they did, flooding the deep and dark tunnel by the droves. With her own Hellhas hunter pack and the drones behind her, Hraelga ran as fast as she could towards the resting servitor she had kept as a trump card. When she finally found the massive beast coiled up in a large open space it had carved out for itself, she managed to get atop of the massive beast, clacking her tongue loudly, at which point a deep rumble could be heard with the beast writhing as it woke up from its slumber.
"Time to use some force on these defenders," With the Servitor knowing what to do and starting to burrow itself through the dirt and rock again, the drones followed in its wake, the idea was simple: they'd avoid any and all of the city's defenses and surprise the defending forces by pouring out where they were the weakest: at the very heart of the megacity.

While chuckling to herself in confidence, Hraelga awaited the moment the servitor would reach the layers of sediment underneath Gyn's foundations, so that she could finally end that which she had started: the conquest of Kesh.

L

ALLIES: Bryn'adul
ENEMIES: Kesh and Co.
OBJECTIVE: Take Gyn

Leknion stood within the smoke filled pod as it fell from the bosom of it's mother ship. The war master's beat upon hide drums to the tune of familiar cadences that had been drilled into the Xamora warriors head's since birth. It gave the adrenaline that came with the threat of impending doom a fierce tiempo. The drums had been played and the warriors had been ready for so long that even their hearts matched the battle beat. The smell of burned incense was thick in the air as shamans held the large sticks and waved them around the massive warriors frames.

One of the priest approached Leknion and began to chant prayers of strength. He reached into the chained incense holder and retrieved a fowl smelling liquid. His prayers grew more fervored as he unscrewed the vial's lid, all the while the drums seemed to emphasize the importance of the priest's odes. He lifted the grotesque beaker and began to throw it's contents upon Leknion. The distinct smell of copper filled his nostrils and he entered a frenzy at the stench of the ichor.

It was the blood of Baedruin warriors, preserved by embalming fluid and kept fresh inside sealed tight jars. It was taken from only the greatest of warriors who had proven themselves time and time again, those who had died valiantly in the line of battle, and as it coated Leknion's body he felt his own strength grow exponentially. He matched the holy Draelvasier's own zeal and began to recite the divine incantations himself. Blessing his blade with the strength of the father Tathra.

Leknion was part of a warrior caste of Baedruin that had survived perverse mutation and come out stronger because of it. They wore no armor, because said mutation had doubled their strength and thickened their hides to phrik. They wielded parasitic shield and biological short spears. Through the spears veins flowed a vial acid that burned flesh upon cut. The shields, when interlocked, created such a dense cloud of argon gas that it dampened even concusive waves.

Only the Baedruin's two enhanced hearts allowed them to breathe within the gas, but even when not interlocked in phalanx the Xamora warriors were more than capable of fighting with sword and board. They proved excellent melee combatants that lived for the honor of a hard fought fight won. They were believed to possess a piece of Tathra himself within their bodies. It was said this was the only way they could survive such a mutation.

While all Draelvasier were the Chieftain's children, the Xamora were an extension of himself. So, as the pod descended through a rain of hell fire it was to the sound of a beating drum heart and the creed of strength. Turbolaser fire exploded all around them and the pod quaked violently. But, even so the warriors managed perfect discipline. Their formations never breaking, nor their stance ever faltering...

Bazh'Thu's thoughts were disoriented on the sudden flux in the Cosmic Force, as a heretical ship hovered around the vicinity of the mountain ranges, bearing a newly-met champion of the Light in their midst. The pagan ship's ion armaments were directly pointed at the specific position of Bazh'Thu's scouting party, with the sole intention of dispatching the Beast Master's contingent down below. At the sight of the incoming enemy,, Bazh'Thu instructed the soldiers to swiftly take cover behind the evergreens and conceal their positions from the direct sight of their unidentified opponent.

As their commanding Master, Bazh'Thu directed the Brutes to fire a continuous barrage with their Wendigo Spikers toward the rear-end compartment of the pagan ship , in which they narrowly missed. As the space-craft made its initial fly-by near the patrolling party's positions, the ionic projectile ejecting straight from its cannons slugged upon three of the Brutes in the open, grazing the Draelvasiers' protective covering,, and immediately rendered them unconscious from its impact. The exchange of fire became much more intense between the two parties. Without notice, the Brutes' weapons started to jam and dysfunction once hit by ionic energy, forcing the squad to take cover from the cannon fire. In their retreat, another Brute befell from a direct hit, as the projectile sneaked into the crevices of the Drael's armour, and into his bare flesh.. In an evasive feat, the meagre squad of Brutes moved their position behind a natural stone wall, as they maneuver away from the heretical gunship's cannonade.

The skirmish between the unsung aggressor and the scouting party ensued. Meanwhile, the Beast Master had other plans. Incessantly chanting songs of war, the condensed blankets of white smoke that continuously released from Bazh'Thu's body thickened much further at his summoning. The Beast Master's pale visage siphoned the natural essence lingering over the arboreal lands with distinguished mastery. The heavy mist compellingly shrouded the Brutes' positions from the heathen vessel's ionic broadside. Baah'Thu's armour-plates rattled upon the dead air as he sauntered through he great fog. The fertile soil beneath his feet began to tremble, as it growled in every foot step he took. Now, it is time for the Beast Master's presence to be known.

The Beast Master pointed his staff-mace towards the remaining members of the scouting party, as it pierced straight into their war-spirits, possessing both their physical and mental bodies alike in absolution. Albeit more passive, Bazh'Thu employed the similar technique in manipulating the simple-minded Beasts, but a Shaman may bind even with the minds of his fellow Draelvasier. Bazh'Thu immediately took advantage of the Baedurin minds. Strong-willed, yet susceptible to rage. But for a Shaman to ensure total control in their complex minds, the host must be prepared to face its grim consequences, even in the blight that is Death,

FzPii08.png

" Arise. "
They did not hesitate. The minions of the Shaman heed their Master's call upon hearing his voice. Bazh'Thu had completed the entire process of the blood ritual, the Brutes' minds were bound in eternal servitude for their Master's cause. The rage that dwells deep within their veins was ever-growing. The symptoms of their lust for the flesh of men began to show itself, as they were consumed by their own savagery. They had become more primitive and barbaric, as they wielded their Barad Glaives in their hands, carrying their newborn mission engraved within their souls - to unleash Death upon the cancer that resides in the fragile worlds.

UBXJRR1.png

" Mortal scum. "
The Beast Master felt an unusual sensation as the once-unknown challenger descended from the heretical vessel, in the form of a warrior lass. Taken aback by the enemy's sudden appearance, Bazh'Thu aimed the tip of his staff toward the direction of the heathen warrior, calling on his Brute minions to begin their assault upon the enemy. As the Brutes strode forward in their charge , the Shaman remained behind. The Baedurin raised their glaives screaming death and glory upon their enemy., their Master entered back into the clouds that permeated around him, before disappearing in the mist.

Allies: Kesh Imperium, Red Dragon, The Dark hand, anyone not a monster.
Location: Engaging Bazh'Thu Bazh'Thu

Salis let out a laugh as she sensed the oncoming enemies, as she sensed the change in the force as Bazh'Thu Bazh'Thu made the smoke thicker and mastered the minds of the baedurin. She wore a rebreather so she wasn't particularly worried about it potentially being toxic. She was more concerned with killing, she sensed them coming towards her and her lightsaber whirred around her body, this time not even staying in her hands as she moved, not fearing the rush into the shadows at all as her weapon flew towards one of the scouts only to return to her immediately as the baedurin approached, instead of the shaman.

She lightly stepped past the first, bringing her weapon around to split the weapon in half before leaping directly into the air, her double bladed weapon attempting to split the throat of the creature as she rose into the air, and before she would come to fall, trying to use the glaive telikinetically, whether or not it was still intact, to stab the next baedurin that attempted to approach the cackling woman. Interestingly the weapon had survived the attack and seemed perfectly intact. She wondered whether it was due to a form of alchemy or if there as a type of material they were using like duraplast. Her landing would of course be immediately assaulted by the creatures. She would commend their speed for their size, but they were fighting a master of ataru who enjoyed the wonders of the force in combat. She ducked down, again using the force to increase her speed allowing her to dart to the side of the group. "Come on coward, can you not face me yourself! Do you really think this smoke will save you." she challenged. Although she was having fun with the Baedurin, she wanted to fight the Shaman directly. Killing another force sensitive could be fun.

Another glaive came towards her, they kept coming at her from multiple angles. Made this all the more fun, she partially deflected one with her lightsaber, pulling closer to them and using them as a springboard to turn around and grab the blade of another one attempting to stab them in the eyes with her lightsaber but continuing her leap off the last to go past them. Regardless the success she reached out her hands with the force, a laugh coming from her as she attempted to lift two of them up by their throats through force choke, which required at least a bit more difficulty but was considerably more entertaining as she attempted to place them in the path of the other baedurin and throw them at them.
"Oh how I've missed this." she said quietly.

The Baedurin were certainly dangerous, she admitted that. They were big and heavy, which meant they required more strength in the force to move. And they were using longer ranged weapons which were resistant to lightsabers, which put them at a lovely advantage against many jedi. If she were a bit slower, or if she became tired out, they'd certainly pose much more of a mortal danger. She wasn't there yet though. But she wouldn't just ignore them to go after the shaman, that'd be a foolish move. Even if she could fight them, the shaman might have tricks up their sleeve. And she'd rather not attempt completely unnecessary actions.

Ship: mki-enforcer-multipurpose-fighter-transport using the pod seeting of Two laser cannons, one Flex Tube proton torpedo launchers fitted with Proton Bombs to take on the bigger ships.
Squadron: With a squadron of the-apollo-class-interceptors.

Rocho's squadron were able to evade and keep to themselves, having the time to prepare as they split off from the rest of the group. However their assistance became necessary when the brynadûl-debauchers went after the allied forces, apparently able to drain things of energy. "Keep your distance, but we're hitting those tentacle looking big ones." he ordered, and immediately the crew were off towards them. Rocho preparing the Proton Bombs while the interceptors were arming their concussive missile launchers. They would actually be able to shoot before he could due to the concussive missiles being much faster than proton bombs. So he gave another order, "Split off, 1-3 you go after the next one, Me and 1 will take on the first one." He ordered. Quickly they shot off, in their own directions, "Aim for the center and those holes. They're probably the weakest." he called.

He watched as they attempted to evade and manuever their way through the enemy forces. This was no easy task, they were in huge numbers and there was only so much that could be done. However they'd launch their combined 6 concussive missiles regardless, a bit early in his opinion since they could potentially hid enemy fighters if they were fast enough, then attempting to regroup with Rocho before he got in range, he had to get closer, and as a result 1 already released his two concussive missiles. Rocho released the one Proton Bomb and then had to turn quickly in order to avoid getting in range of that energy sucking creature. The proton bombs were slower than traditional missiles, but his ship was fairly fast and its inertia would help carry the powerful weapons right towards the creatures stomach where it should be the weakest. These were designed to take down capital ships, so it should do plenty to one of these biological beings he figured.

He heard someone scream over the comms as someone tried to call for help when he was chased inside the vampires range before the creatures sapped his energy and phedrak fighters managed to shoot him down before coming after Rocho and his crew yet again. Even if both attacks worked in disabling the creatures, there would still be plenty more unless the main fleet could deal with them. One of the crew released a seismic charge towards the enemy threatening to hit a group hopefully giving Rocho and his team the time to make their escape yet again. Darting and weaving while they fired away with their laser cannons. He gritted his teeth as more of them came after them, some getting in several good shots on his ships shields due to their considerable numbers. He wondered how many of these creatures the Keshiri forces would actually be able to take down. They were much more limited in numbers by comparison. Though, by comparing the ships, he was fairly certain if the numbers were equal the Keshiri would have won the space battle with relative ease. But that was not the case. They were greatly outnumbered, and Rocho could only do so much. "Keep on them, we should be able to take down enough of them that we can aid the rest of the fleet." he ordered. And they were off again to attempt the same maneuver on another two of them while trying to keep out of the way of allied forces and enemy alike. This...was hardly considered a simple task. Rocho perhaps had the advantage among his squadron, having the ability to sense incoming attacks, and greater overall design for his ship even if he was a bit larger. But that didn't mean that dealing with thousands of aspects was a simple task.

Galak had only ever seen the Chieftain like this once before, and that time he was scared for his life - as were many others trapped in the laboratory with him. But now, that rage was directed at their enemy and the General had never felt more certain of a victory in his life, even at this scale of combat - the tactics employed by the Chieftain were ones to marvel at.

The General raised his wrist, speaking into his comms unit to Tathra. "The strategy is working sire." Meanwhile, the Shamans who took control of Seekers found themselves in conflict with another force-user attempting to usurp control - draining them of life, his intent was so far spread that their defence of the individual groups was easier. Not even a thousand, more closer to hundred Seekers were destroyed by the force drain attack. Once more, it seemed as though their enemies had greatly underestimated the foe they pursued.

When the Chieftain called for their forces to move forward, the Rhivaks and Brumaks had already been moved to the front of the Quilxyn Shields circumference alongside the Drones, the Shield was still holding, even against their Revenant Cannons and Missiles. They were giving them enough to be concerned about. The massive formation marched orth, soon the defences of the enemy would be but a few steps away.

Fighting was already on-going throughout, the Savage Drones number in the hundreds of thousands - attacking from every direction and slaughtering many whilst also falling in great numbers, some were even caught in the thousand of corrosive erupting explosions, missile droids culled through dozens and laser cannons battered at the Quilxyn Shield. But again, that was their purpose. All creatures, had purpose. Galak knew that, and even with Maldra and Garn in mind he was confident of his. His purpose was with the 10th, as a General.

The Bryn'adûl Generals of the 10th relayed their strategy to the Field Marshall, who in turn relayed it to the Chieftain. As their forces drew closer, the Quilxyn shield was minimised, fortifying their position as the Rhivaks would leap out from the shield, the massive beats of great agility diving into the Trenches and unleashing their gigantic plasmatic beams on the infantry. The Brumaks moved slowly - their energy chains igniting along their spines, their power compounding on one and other as all five-thousand Brumaks empowered each other, focusing their fire on the heavier defences; tanks, bunkers, turrets. Their weaponry melting everything in its reach into slag.

The Drones now pushed into the enemy defences whilst the Savage Drones would be ordered to move to the very back of the Keshiri Imperiums defences, they would trap them in their own trenches. The Quilxyn Shield would continue to fortify itself as it grew smaller, now only containing the 10th, its Shamans and the Chieftain himself.
