Location: Kintan Orbit
Objective: Protect Kintan

Kero's Kad: Shield-100%, Hull-100%
Enigma: Shield-100%, Hull-100%
5x Enigma-class FACs: All, Shield-100%, Hull-100%
6x PS-1 "Tagger" Corvettes (Escort Variant): All, Shield-100%, Hull-100%
6x GF-2b Super TwinTail squadrons: 36
2x "Kodashi" Viper MKII squadrons: 24
3x HA-1 Beskad squadrons: 12

Mig looked out at the seeing the frigates turn. It seemed... odd. He couldn't see any heavy weapons on them. He questioned his ships A.I., hoping to learn more. He looked at Kaddie's interface, waiting for the A.I. to respond. It was strange that they'd only bring those ships around. Then the Kad's central A.I. spoke up, honestly sounding concerned. "Sir.... They're escorts. Anti-fighter and missile escorts. They're throwing escorts at an attack fleet. The Legator II and long range cruisers in the Sith fleet have also started firing." The Alor sighed, looking out. That Dreadnaught was a major threat, and needed to disable her, and she was pushing forward. Mig looked to his A.I.’s interface, determined to stop the Sith.

"Kaddie, keep up with the Sith fleet, and open long range fire on that Dreadnaught. If the escort frigates get close enough, target them." The A.I. respond with only an “Aye,” and lightly turning the star destroyer to face the Dreadnaught’s tail before firing up the engines and weapons. Mig then commed the rest of the fleet. "Vaux, keep the squadrons wide of the escorts. Those frigates are designed to cut strike craft down, but try to find an opening. To all Enigma-class, push in and light up the escorts! Taggers stick with us." With that, the battle for the Mandalorian vessels had begun. The Kero's Kad unleashed her long range batteries. Four bow mounted hyper particle cannons, and sixteen turreted heavy railguns, the weapons were all aimed for the Legator II. Meanwhile, the Enigma and her sister ships darted forward, keeping their flight path outside of the firing line of their flagship. When they got in range, the corvettes would turn in and unleash their heavy turbolasers, and the Enigma's turbolasers, on the escorts. The Enigma would also show he mine launcher, dropping magnamines in the frigates’ paths.

Meanwhile, Vaux would direct the Mandalorian squadrons to fly around the edge of the frigates range. They held out for now, but stayed vigilant. There was a strong chance fighters would come after the fleet, and while to Tagger's had stuck with Kad, they needed to be ready to defend the fleet, or pull a attack on the larger capital ship. But then the flight commander realized something. They were there to protect the evac ships. She looked back at her squadron, waving her red painted TwinTail’s wings.

“Dawn squadron, Varactyl squadron. Follow me in. We need to protect any evac ships out. The rest of you, you know your jobs.” She then flipped her comm channel to the Jedi frequency, sighing and swallowing her pride. “Jedi ships. I’m going to try to get fighters in the blue to help the escorts out. We can’t spare enough though, unless the Mando and Force are on our side today.” Vaux didn’t wait. Her and her two squadrons gunned it, making a wide sweep for the atmosphere.

As these squadrons went for the surface, the others kept their distance for a little longer, but soon turned on one of the Longbows. It was a risk, but they could setup. The squadrons began to move wide, trying to get a good approach to avoid the escort frigates before starting an attack run.
  • The Kero’s Kad opens fire on the Legator II Dreadnaught with her hyper particle cannons and railguns.
  • The Enigma and other Enigma-class FACs engage the Velox-class frigates.
  • 2 TwinTail squadrons swing wide and head towards Kintan’s surface
  • The rest of the squadrons prepare for an attack run.

To say it was a surprise to see a legionnaire, let alone an officer able to dodge Lanik’s strike would be an understatement. For a second the Jedi couldn’t believe it as his saber sliced through empty air. He’d thought the officer would fall like the rest, and instead he’d reacted unlike any of the other troopers. It was impressive, to say the least, and made Lanik just what sort of figure lurked within the confines of the ceramic armor.

The padawan’s thoughts were cut off by a sudden blossom of pain within his ankle, more specifically the back of it. The Jedi roared out as the vibroblade hidden within the boot sliced into his Achilles tendon. Having taken a lightsaber to the ribs Lanik wasn’t new to the extremes that pain could reach, that didn’t mean it wasn’t still a hell of its own. His left ankle and leg gave way collapsing the Jedi to the mud. As he met the ground the famed lightsaber slipped from Lanik’s grasp, rolling away and becoming lost in the wet surface. The mixture of brown and red coated his face and infiltrated the man’s hair. The padawan’s jaw was so tight that his teeth ached. Thankfully the officer hadn’t gone for a portion of the Jedi’s body to bleed him out.

To stop in battle due to pain wasn’t an option, adrenaline pumped through the Jedi’s veins as he cast a glance to the oncoming officer. He didn’t hesitate to return the favor of an injury. Rising to his left knee, Lanik’s right leg kicked out. Every muscle from the man’s back down to his calf was put into the kick aimed right above the rushing officer’s knee. On impact, the force released with a clap of telekinetic might to snap the officer’s leg backward and break his knee. This wasn’t out of revenge, no this was out of survival. The officer had already killed a far more skilled knight, Lanik did not want to be another that ended up on his list.

Pushing off the ground with his left knee, and right foot Lanik asked the force for aid and it came. It coalesced around the wounded ankle, binding and putting pressure on it. Enough for the Jedi to at least stand. His left leg shook from the effort of being forced to stay aloft. His ankle screamed in protest yet the Jedi did not falter, his sky blue eyes carrying nothing but the promise of determination.

She let out her twisted smile again behind the helmet as she activated her blades and did a ballerina like spine as the blades were dug into the floor carving it out as she and the piece fell down behind Kyra Perl Kyra Perl she saw Prazutis between the two padawans.

It was a shame for them to meet such a creature on the battlefield but when she landed the helmet gave her voice the standard effect of any other helmeted trooper would but she radiated with the dark side as she spoke her blades aimed towards her ''Finally I found someone to play with, I thought I was going to be given the boring jobs''. Was all she said as the adrenaline in her veins pumped and her excitement was at its peak she was pleased to finally meet another Jedi to face and only hoped Prazutis would be kind enough to allow her atleast the Jedi before her for entertainment

It took a lot to inspire true fear in Kiff. Part of that was due to the fact that, for someone as young as he was, he'd been through a lot; countless invasions, pitched battles, life threatening situations, assassination attempts, and more. Kark, he had faced down a battlecruiser with only a rinky-dink star destroyer when he had only been captain in the Defense Force. But none of them compared to the report that the Twi'lek had just given; that the Emperor of the Sith Empire had landed on the base and was proceeding towards the Command Tower. That, and the fact that currently he appeared to be unstoppable. Kiff was not a combat fighter -- he'd operated on the ground and had fulfilled his share of personal engagement, but his set of skills were best employed from a station of command, not a one-on-one duel. Nevermind that the Sith Emperor was supposed to have an arsenal of magical powers that Kiff couldn't even begin to make sense of, and yet this being of almost legend was probably only several hundred meters away from him.

All in all, it was not a good situation for someone who valued his life. And for all of his recklessness, Kiff did value his life, very much. "Get me a reading on the intruder and I want confirmation that he really is the Sith Emperor. Either way, do we have any more droids we can throw at him?" Kiff asked the Twi'lek without any hint of his anxiety as the siege echoed around him, the floor of the command tower shaking as he did so. Even in the chaos, Kiff did his best to maintain his composure. If there had been one thing he'd learned through his years of experience, iit was that it was the commander's role to keep the morale of the subordinates alive. Without that, there was no hope, and without hope the battle might as well have been lost.

"The majority of our forces are still in the trenches, or are retreating. He's already taken out a good portion of the remaining garrison," the Twi'lek said as her blue lekku whipped in the air with the shaking of her head, her bright eyes shone with fear that she could not hide as well as the High Marshal. Kiff couldn't help feel pity for her. He was so used to commanding droids that he'd forgotten what it was like to command over actual people, people who would die if he didn't make the right decisions. This Twi'lek was not under his command, or at least she wasn't officially, but in that moment the old Kiff who'd faced down a battlecruiser on his own shined through his shell of fear. This Sith was just another battlecruiser, and Kiff was determined to come out victorious.

Taking to the holomap, he used the manual controls to zoom into the layout of Fortress Kh'aris itself. A push of the button then indicated the position of the Emperor with a pulsing red icon, something not very hard to track with the base's security systems and the echoes of blasterfire, screams, and absolute carnage that radiated from the Sith Emperor's position. Fortunately for Kiff, and the rest of the small remaining command staff in the Fortress, the Sith Emperor was still very much well within the Bastion which served as the main building of the Fortress. Yet as he studied the layout of the base, an idea suddenly came to his mind. The architects of Kh'aris had put the Command Tower as a completely seperate building behind the Bastion, which had been a source of annoyance for the garrison there especially during bad whether. But whether or not it was some sort of a design flaw, it worked perfectly for what Kiff was beginning to put together in his head.

"Lieutenant, order our repulsortanks to fire on the highlighted portion of the Bastion. Whoever this guy is, no one can withstand an artillery barrage of that magnitude," Kiff said at length with a look of steely intent in his eyes as his vision zeroed in on the red dot identifying the man who was currently making his way through the fortress, presumably to kill Kiff, the command staff, and the rest of the Silver Jedi forces on Kintan. But whatever it would take, Kiff was determined not to repeat Pandora. This time, it would be Kiff who'd send the enemy home licking their wounds, not the other way around.

"But High Marshal -- we still have forces in that portion of the tower, and doing so would cave in the underground network of tunnels under the Fortress. It's our only means of escape if Kh'aris falls," the Twi'lek officer said in protest.

Kiff whipped around, and the fire of determination burned bright in his eyes. "Listen -- if that really is the Sith Emperor, and those soldiers are in the same area as him, they're as good as dead. As for the tunnels, a means of escape won't be any good if that Sith guts us with his blade. Order them to fire," Kiff said, giving emphasis to the last word. The Twi'lek, taken aback by the sudden ferocity in the High Marshal's turn, swallowed and nodded as she keyed the orders into the datapad.

Boom.

Boom.

BOOM.

It wasn't like any of the artillery strikes that the Sith had been launching against the base. The pure shock impact that came from those Howlrunner tanks firing their railgun cannons point-blank into Fortress Kh'aris threw Kiff and the rest of the Command Staff off of the ground. Dust shook from the ceiling and the entire tower ominously groaned, and for a second the holodisplay at the command table flickered from the impact. Shakily getting to his feet, Kiff looked out of the window of the command tower to see a cloud of dust emerging from what had used to be a main section of Fortress Kh'aris, now nothing more than debris and rubble. The Twi'lek standing beside him put a hand to her mouth, muffling a primal cry of shock that had managed to escape from her lips. Kiff offered no such emotional reaction, but his face was grim as he looked down on the settling dust. For whatever damage they had done to the Emperor and the Sith, they had paid a heavy price for it.

But now was not a time for reflection; that would be after the battle was one. Putting a steady hand on the young Twi'lek's shoulder, he gave her a steady look that did not require any words to convey what he meant. This was war, and war was full of death. Now was not the time to grieve. Now was the time to fight. Kiff turned once more to the holodiagram of the battle. "I want our forces to hold their position; we must keep the Empire at bay. Are communications up and running?" he said, his voice emotionless as he surveyed the map of the battle.

It took several seconds for the Twi'lek officer to recompose herself before shakily responding. "Not yet, s-sir, although the slicer droids are reporting progress."

Kiff nodded his head, solemn as he did so. "Have them continue. Outside of keeping alive, getting our communications up and running again should be our top priority. If we can get reinforcements to Kintan, that very well may change the tide of battle."

"Duuuuuude, I know right!? The last installment of Unto Valor was such a letdown...what was the campaign even, kriffing Mon Calamari? How the hell do you even put a first person shooter underwater?! Not to mention it was so buggy, like, you can literally clip through the ground at the second-to-last mission where you have to defend the star destroyer without even trying, and since there's no death barrier and you can't exit the level when you're airborne, it frakking softlocks you! It's ridiculous! And Day 1 DLC!? Don't get me wrong, the Office of Truth normally makes this stuff so well, but they really freakin' dropped the ball this time...I dunno who's in charge of Holonet Gaming Propaganda but best believe, I'm literally going to shove Force Lightning down their throat until they release a patch. I could make better games than that, I swear."

Nitrogen and the rest of his entourage had been kept in a holding pattern patrolling near the ship they'd taken off from, their orders having immediately changed since take off. Apparently the intelligence division of the Imperial Navy hadn't found an appropriate target for his boarding party, and neglected to mention it until he and his Marines were already in-vacuum. The errant fighter or bomber had came around once or twice that a half-squadron of fighter escorts had no problem taking down, but for the most part it was incredibly boring, tantamount to flying in circles for no reason. Thankfully Dominion 14 seemed to be as into gaming as Nitro was, easing the wait for action with some small talk over their comms. But all of that was swiftly about to change as the familiar voice of his direct commanding officer broadcasted to his comm.

"Mandalorians just came out of hyperspace in defense of the Jedi fleet. Their flagship Kero's Kad is your target. Engage immediately. Turn their weapons on the Jedi fleet, and capture one of their fleet officers for questioning. Any means necessary are authorized. Will be engaging radio silence from here on out, over."

"FINALLY! It'll be ours in 30. Uaffell over and out."

After the orders were relayed, they wasted no time in setting a course for Mig Gred Mig Gred 's flagship with the help of their ships' droid brains, taking a roundabout curved line underneath the ship to avoid at least half of the likely-massive amount of armaments the Star Destroyer possessed, as well as potentially tricking the crew of the Mandalorian star destroyer into thinking they were headed for another ship. It'd be a difficult swing up to enter the hangar safely, but Nitro was convinced of both his and the Marine pilots' abilities to keep their ships from ramming into their shields. To that effect, a precision assault on the hangar from some of the heavier guns of the Sith fleet nearest the Kero's Kad would be prepared, ready to pound open a hole in the dreadnought's shields just as Nitro and his boarding crew would be coming up. It'd mean a smaller window of entry, but a much less obvious one at the same time.

At least, until he saw two more escorted gunships taking a much more direct route to the targeted ship's hangar. He half hoped that they would be there to support Nitro's efforts...but something told him that if they were in fact heading for the Kero's Kad so directly, they wouldn't be lasting long. The thought of calling to them crossed his mind, but it soon vanished. It was the nature of life, after all. Some were chosen, like Nitro and his Marines, to be the greatest beings on the face of the galaxy. The rest?

Cannon fodder.

ACTIONS TAKEN: Targeting the Kero's Kad for boarding with a slightly roundabout route. Two more boarding parties with escorts taking a much more direct route to the ship.

Though his helmeted visage mirrored that of the array of troopers surrounding him it was blatantly clear to Lanik that his opponent was different. Not clamoring for a gun or blaster desperately to try and delay the inevitable. No, Irveric was wholly prepared to best and kill a man in far more primal brutality than the precision engineering of a blaster shot. He showed that well enough not moments before. War like this was a different beast than most others. Close quarters, trenches, mud with whites of the enemies eyes starkly visible. An existential conflict, neither belligerent could perform a half task and march home intact, no. The survivor would be the victor and the victor alone.

There wasn't much time to process the miraculous save he'd made in preserving his life in the wake of the Jedi's flying slash. Beating his heavy boots against the mud his advance was swiftly halted when the Jedi planted a harsh kick against his knee. Though the ceramic-duraplast composite padded enough of the blow that his leg would be all but surgically non-repairable afterwards an audible 'crack' of bone and tendon sounded out as his knee flexed in an unnatural position.

Through clenched teeth an audible groan of searing pain sounded out from his helmet. Were it not for the adrenaline surging through his senses he could've very well cowered and screamed for minutes as he clutched the end. But his leg was still in place, even if he could only feel sharp splinters of nerves beneath his kneecap. There wasn't time enough for a combat stim, not now or else it would've already been buried in Tavlar's neck.

He knelt down for a moment in pain, all but mirroring the Jedi as he set a hand to his side, gripping one of the metal supports of the trench as he caught his breath. There wasn't any time to lick his wounds, his body sounded the dread alarm ; calling on his primal instincts to muster everything in this last push to stay alive. Tightly grasping ahold of the dura steel beam he was able to lift himself unto his feet. The second he set pressure on his right let a bolt of nigh intolerable pain surged through his nerves, sending out another low, pained note through clenched teeth.

He had maybe a second or so window in which he could tolerate the bonecracking pain before he'd collapse again. Tavlar could survive that second so long as he collapsed over the Jedi he faced against. His mind centered within a crown of desperate, life-preserving adrenaline he jolted from the wall with one surge set from his good leg, briefly setting his weakened foot behind him to grant another vital jolt of momentum before he sough to plant his right shoulder into the Jedi's chest and send him into the mud beneath all the while his left hand surged down, seeking plant the knuckle mounted vibroblade of his gauntlet into his upper right thigh in yet another desperate drive to take their scrap to the ground where he might stand a chance from his deeply inhibited mobility and inability to carry a lightsaber duel.

----
The spearhead continued its unrelenting advance ; the frantic barrage of Tavlar's artillery barely able to sight in a creeping adjustment, raining ordnance deeper on target in New Kalandra though a more meager offensive when matched against the greater forces among the Sith coalition the severely hampered defenses facing its advance saw lesser casualties as it carried forward, the armored personnel carriers carrying forward into the panzerkeill to disembark its infantry platoons behind the forward armored wedge of heavier vehicles, how more able to pick out precise targets among what was left of the defensive emplacements ; prioritising lighter anti-infantry weapon systems and anti-air whilst the armored squadrons matched the anti-tank emplacements to clear the way for a final push into the city proper ; paving a clear way through the already battered Northern defenses to prevent encirclement.

Darkness had taken her vision once the blinding flash that followed the explosion that brought the shuttle down had faded. The ensuing crash, the explosions that riddled the outskirts of the sky that came soon afterwards, and the defensive push of the Jedi that trailed behind went unnoticed by the unconscious Firrerreo. Had the Sith made a push in? Had the Jedi kept them out even now? Feeling returned to her fingers, then arms, and as the sound returned to her ears, and light to her now open eyes, Braith could only find one question that the raging ache in the center of her mind could bear to ask openly.

"Why are they still alive?"

Words like venom hissed with the same intensity as the blood she spat from her mouth, the tone of which set the mood that she was to remain for the rest of this miserable engagement - pissed. Had the Empire opted for the entry she'd requested, drop pods from a reasonable height over the city, this would have been over already - had the Empire acquiesced to her request, she would have already been knee-deep in iron-rich mud made from the mixture of dirt and the blood of Jedi and their filth. Rising from the ground, the pain that pounded behind her forehead eliciting a grunt of frustration, Braith ignored the circumstances she found herself in, entrapped by a burning prison of steel and glass, while she lifted her dominant hand to blow away a section of debris and open up a way out into the comparably cool air.

Managing her headache a bit better now, she stepped out from the wreckage and glanced around, aware that she was still somewhat further in than the main force had been able to penetrate, but also more than aware that the area that lay between her and the rest of the Empire's ground forces was very clearly bombed to the nine hells and back again. And what did she find herself welcomed by; a Sith scout, or maybe even a Jedi to cut down? No. Looking up to the sky, eyes narrowed as focus instinctively set in and her anger channeled deep within her, left and right hand both rising with palms exposed, a mortar of some sort came whistling over her and across the sky, among the dozen others that trailed nearby.

This was what plagued the troops that lagged behind her? This was what kept the greatest invading force in the history of the known galaxy from ripping and tearing the occupying Jedi force to ribbons? Heat rose in the sky as the atoms of carbon in the air from all of the smoke excited, as they moved with such intensity that the oxygen in the air, high above, shimmered momentarily before they gave into the pressure she'd put on the air. A master of controlling the environment itself, from ripping the ground from beneath Jedi and Sith alike to igniting the very oxygen in the air, Braith was no novice to dealing with the tools of the soldiers that lacked the ability to call on the force. Temperatures in the air skyrocketed around the projectile that had caught her eye before it succumbed to the intensity of her gaze and its exterior ignited - before it exploded mid-air. Like a domino these mortars became a bright flash across the sky as the flames spread, taking most of these nuisances out of the picture to halt, at the very least, one moment of annoyance.

Arms lowering, gaze meeting the city before her, Braith marched on while her rage built higher, dug deeper, still.

It was perhaps sixty paced before she realized there were others that had seemed to be in a similar predicament as she, though by the absence of feelings such as her own denied the possibility of them being one of her own. She reached for the saber at her hip with her left hand while her right curled into a fist, a gust of wind pushing aside the smaller debris that littered the ground at her feet to form a path between herself and Ryv Ryv . Nearby she could feel the presence of another, Erika Garter Sin, but had her attention drawn to what appeared to be keeping the man occupied and ignorant to his would-be assailant.

A child?

The fist raised, her lips curling into an expression of disgust. She hated this part, the feeling that would come, as they always did, whenever she erased the life of someone who wasn't holding a weapon. If the circumstances were different, if it had been their own world that had been struck by the Jedi rather than the other way around, if the child hadn't been trapped and afraid, then she would have taken that alternative route, but the damage had already been dealt - the moment the child had everything ripped from them and had been dealt the trauma of pain with the association of the Sith Empire as the aggressor was the moment that a future rebel was born. Unlike the rest of the imbeciles that trained their victims as their proteges only to meet their end at the hands of the one they thought they had raised to control, Braith had no such reservations with snuffing out the enemy the moment their resolve was cemented.

She closed her eyes and jerked her fist down, bringing down the duracrete that trapped the child beneath.

Finally, an enemy worth facing. Smoothly spinning out of the projectile's path, he emerged in a crouch, heavily-accented voice shouting out in greeting. "Mandalorian! The stories have you as great warriors, yet you oppose the culling of the weak and the degenerate! Why is that?"

Even as he spoke, he prowled at the roof's edge, heart thundering with the excitement of battle to come and relished in and drawing strength from the carnage that surrounded them, the encroaching darkness upon fading light. The sounds of battle, of armoured advance and fierce resistance, grew closer, but he had eyes only for his prey and her imminent demise.

Telekinetically grasping a piece of rubble from a nearby impact crater, he flung it towards her, even as he leapt down, kicking off from the ground in order to propel himself towards her, vibrosword flashing with lethal intent.

A dry wind whistled loudly through the yawning portal where the building's door had once stood. It wound through the interior, coating Karina's bloodied face in concrete dust and ash, and exited the ruin through the broken windows along the rear wall.

The soldiers looked over the street from the second floor, hidden in the half-darkness of the abandoned restaurant. Below, a squadron of Legionnaires, lay dead amidst a pile of fallen masonry. Whatever compelling force had felled them had since moved on, and now the street corner was quiet as the grave, but for the occasional scrape of her soldier’s boots against some piece of debris or the other.

The dead soldiers had belonged to the 46th Recon Battalion, Karina had identified their fallen Lieutenant ten minutes earlier. This was as far as they’d got before they were all killed. How much further in would Karina make it? No doubt within the hour they'd be just like them, lying in the scorched earth, only a few blocks further down.

Karina had led the remaining members of her company out of the ruins of the intersection bordering the Northern Siege Lines, climbing over the smoking rubble and heading south, following the main road until they reached the edge of the artillery strike’s destruction, where the buildings were damaged but standing, taking shelter as they licked their wounds and Karina reported their position and status.

They had moved carefully and quietly, but they had spotted no militia forces as they took shelter, no living people at all, in fact. Now, they watched the silent street, watching, waiting.

She’d radioed ahead to request a rendezvous location with the armoured column, and all of them were anxiously waiting to return to the relative safety of numbers and heavy weaponry. The eerie quiet of the city was grinding at her nerves, as was the knowledge that the city around them hid countless dangers.

A loud beep sounded from her commlink, and the others in the room turned to face her as she received her message, the rest of the company returning from downstairs when they heard her quiet responses.

<: “Yes, sir. 22. Yes. We’ll move out immediately.” :>

A drawn-out sigh escaped her lips, and she rubbed the smooth metal spots where her temples had once been. This was just typical. It would be too much to ask for more than this temporary reprieve. Karina bit her lip, then squared her shoulders and addressed what remained of H-company, her gaze flitting between each of the soldiers gathered around her.

“That was Captain Carver from 12th Armor. Since 46’s Recon teams have been wiped, he’s ordering us to scout ahead for the spearhead. We’ll be moving along the main road and surrounding blocks and reporting major obstacles and enemy emplacements.”

She expected cries of protest and anger, but instead, she received silence. A couple of them nodded grimly, but the rest were still.

“Alright, then. Let’s get to it. We’re going to divide into three teams, Corporal Kerr will take seven of you, Corporal Tera will take eight, and I’ll take the remaining seven. Let’s split up at the intersection ahead, Tera and her team will cover the Western side of the main road, I’ll take centre, and Kerr and his squad will scout the Eastern side.”

A few minutes later, they set out. All three squads were operating at reduced strength, with each of them dangerously low on ammunition. What’s more, only Tera’s team had a medic, the rest wiped out in the prior artillery attack.

Walking up the abandoned main street, Karina didn’t think she’d ever felt as ill-at-ease. They were a squad of seven, armed only with rifles, walking straight into enemy territory. There was nobody in sight, not yet, but she knew that somewhere, concealed in the sprawl of shanties and jumbled buildings, the enemy lay waiting. It was only a matter of time before they sprung the trap.

Up ahead, one of her Legionnaires called out to her, and she hurried to catch up, skidding to a halt at a broad junction as she saw what the rows of apartments lining the streets had concealed.

To their right, several blocks of the city were ablaze, the fire ripping through the overcrowded city and leaping from structure to structure. It was spreading rapidly even as they watched, the eager flames licking at the side of the nearest buildings.

“Best we stay ahead of that,” said Karina, mainly talking to herself. She turned back to the squad, still standing and staring at the spreading conflagration.

“Let’s move. We can’t waste any more time here.”

They kept going, moving at a rapid but careful pace. As the squad powered forward, their booted footsteps pounding on the pavement, Karina noticed that most of the rooftop mortar emplacements had been totally destroyed, leaving only blackened forms behind. However, there were few other signs of conflict, and it wasn’t long before Karina’s squad found the spot to which the Kintan militias had retreated, stepping around the bend and immediately scrambling for cover as a storm of blaster fire erupted from a large barricade of sandbags with a central pillbox, the volley of shots pinning them down as shouts of alarm were heard from down the street.

“I guess we found them!” Karina shouted, cursing and ducking down as some explosive round struck a nearby building, showering the Legionnaires with glass and rock. “Radio the armoured detachment and inform them the way is clear to our coordinates, and that there’s a roadblock across the main street.”

They moved deeper down the alley at a run, distancing themselves from the militia forces dug in across the street. They couldn’t face that alone, no way, so they’d either have to find a way around and move on or wait for the armoured detachment to catch up and force a path through.

As they sought cover, the wind turned, filling the air with smoke; a grim reminder of the fire devouring the city behind them.

There was one advantage he had over pretty much everyone else on this battlefield; speed.

The j-1 was fast, and he quickly found that was something to be glad for. Cenric wasn't exactly the best pilot. He was ill-practiced and not quite as confident as he should have been, but he managed alright. With the aid of the force and the touch of his instinct Cenric managed to down a half dozen more fighters.

In the midst of a battle like this it meant for nothing. Every starfighter was replaceable, and for Sith...so were the pilots.

Cenric grit his teeth, fingers tightening as he banked to the left and allowed his lasers to strafe over the hull of a small transport at the edge of the battle.

His head shook, and turned the ship backward on it's axis. The engines fluttered for half a second, and then he punched them forward. With a quick burst of speed the young Jedi shot directly towards the center of the battle and towards the Sith Flagship.

Just as Zahori had predicted. The enemy would show up after and behind her. Though, how rebel Mandalorians had come from Sith space is a mystery to her. It seems that patrols would have to be strengthened. Though, that will have to be a project for a later time. She re-focused on the matter at hand.

"Lord Admiral," called out a bridge officer, "the Longbows are sustaining heavy damage but are holding for now. They won't last long against this onslaught. Shields on the Legator, however, are holding strong."

"Is the Helios ready to fire?" Zahori questioned.

"Yes, Lord Admiral. At your command." the weapons officer replied.

"Fire at the Jedi's main vessel," Zahori commanded.

At the Lord Admiral's command, the weapons officer began calibrating the Helios cannon's target, that being the Tatsuta. At the range the Tatsuta was, the Helios cannon was at optimal power. It was made to hit targets from afar and completely decimate them. A superheated beam of light was unleashed from Legator II's main gun fired at the Tatsuta. If the ship had no protection against the heavy shield penetrating weapon that was the Helios, it would deal an incredible amount of damage to the Tatsuta's hull.

"Lord Admiral, what of the Mandalorians?" asked the comms officer.

"Ah, right. Almost forgot about them. Activate the Blackout system. Can't have them calling out for reinforcements. Have the rear guns fire at their smaller ships. I want the main ship...for myself. XO has the bridge. I shall return soon. When I give the signal, unleash my horde." Zahori rose from her chair and quickly departed the bridge. As she moved, commandos of the Shadow Fist began to follow her. As they moved, all those in their path swiftly moved out of it. Eventually, Zahori found herself in the main hangar of the Legator II after traversing the many corridors of her dreadnought. the 10 commandos quickly jumped into their Tuk'atas as Zahori climbed into her Kojasi fighter. As she began to activate the starfighter, she reached behind her head and placed the Pellucid Crown upon her head and, almost immediately, she could feel it begin to work. A seamless connection to her ship's systems, she could feel at one with the fighter.

"Darth Athora to the bridge. Do it now." Zahori commanded through her fighter's comm unit.

At that instant, the bridge began to light up with activity as the Legator II began to utilize it's systems. From the hangers of Athora's fleet, a horde of Sith-Imperial fighters, bombers, and interceptors erupted. They all turned towards the rear of the fleet and towards the Mandalorians. Their path made it clear they were headed for the Mandalorians main ship while the Legator II's rear guns began to fire on the lesser Mandalorian vessels. Once the other fighters departed the hangar, Zahori took her ship from the hangar grounds and departed as well with her commandos close behind her. At that moment, the Legator II activated it's Blackout system which, as it was meant to, would almost completely knockout the comms and sensor systems of the enemy fleets in the system in almost an instant. This would, normally, strain the ship's systems. This would be true, if not for the intervention by Chief Engineer Jerod Quill. His expertise in the Engineering field caused him to direct power from the non-essential systems towards the Blackout ECM in order to provide it enough strength to knock out comms in the rather small system.

Zahori could see the enemy command ship ahead of her. Her fighter picked up speed rather quickly as she made a beeline for it with her commandos close behind. The other fighters and bombers began to engage the enemy starship while fighters and interceptors engaged any and all Mandalorian fighters. The Velox frigates then began fulfilling their purpose and protected the rear as they fired on targets within their range as they pushed forward with the many fighter squadrons. Their great speed allowed them to somewhat keep up with the impressive Sith-Imperial starfighters.

Meanwhile, at the front, with the Legator II focusing fire upon the main Jedi ship, the rest of the fleet came into firing range of the enemy ships. Battlegroup I began to fire at both the Jedi Star Destroyers, which was a bit of an oxymoron. One thought the Jedi defended the stars, though these were a different breed of Jedi. Battlegroup II then engaged the smaller frigates of the Jedi fleet. The combined power of the ships focused upon these smaller vessels would surely be overwhelming. The Jedi were lacking in defenses on one of their precious planets. Perhaps they truly did not care for the people. The Sith were the most proficient at exploiting this weakness.

"It's about time I remind these rebel Mandalorians what true fear is."

For the first time he wished he had stayed on the path of action over knowledge, using the Force over listening to its guidance. He felt the death, he felt the wall of rage powering through the fortress. The Force kept him on the path towards Kat and Kyra, even though it warned him of the pain to come. The darkness, the sense of oppression.

He turned into the corridor, seeing Kyra first. Then the sith lord emerging from a third path. He wasn't alone, more dark creatures had forced their way into their sanctuary.

Snap-hiss

Twin blade of fierce, silvery blue snapped into existence, one long and one short. A strange sense of calm washed over him as he lowered his weight into a typical makashi stance.

"Ky..." he began to call out.

Then the world swallowed him up.

1nSHSYa.jpg

He woke to a different one. This was ruled by darkness and pain. Dull red emergency lighting cast ominous shadows through the haze.

Acaadi blinked his eyes open, feeling the crust of dust on his skin. He coughed as every part of his body cried out. Like a discordant orchestra it was impossible to pick out any individual sounds. It all hurt.

He was in a collapsed corridor, dusk light filtering down from above. He had a vague sense of using the Force to shield himself as the floors had crumbled around him, detritus and masonry falling with him.

"Kyra! Kat!" he called out. There wasn't enough toom to stand; the collapsed structure having formed a tunnel around him. As soon as he tried he yelped in pain, only just finding that his left arm was trapped from just behind the wrist.

"Kark."

The Force had shown him a vision of this so why had it led him down this path?

It did not take the force to notice the arrival of Carnifex, she hadn’t met the man much outside of her initial dive into the Imperial depths: but she had read the stories. They were fitting enough, her eyes fell upon the blenders that landed upon the walls. She allowed herself the briefest moment of pause, taking note of what she could in her HUD. Oh glorious violence.

But the show was cut short with a thunderous shockwave, the sound of destroyed buildings and ordinance filled the air. Where once the two Sith Lords stood was a pile of rubble and shattered corpses, a breach in the wall. The entrance into the sweet weakness that laid within. The shockwave that followed took some of the charging Legionnaires off their feet, Lirka merely staggered some. Their advance was slowed for the briefest moment.

“Get up, Maggots! They have opened the way for us! Forward, forward into the breach!”

She bellowed her command again, her modulated helmet giving it the groveling roughness that was grossly unfitting for such a brutally elegant creature. Rumbling forward came a squad of Claymore-II tanks, a grin came to Lirka’s face: hidden behind that emotionless helmet. She had that ever vicious idea. Her head turned, speaking to the highest ranking solider she had acquired for this operation.

”You’re in charge of dealing with the Trenches, I will go to the Emperor.”

It was infinitely more calm than the crazed shouting she had been spitting out before. Walking up to the tank, uncaring of the fire that came the way of the Legion’s forces. She leapt onto it, with a click her boots mag-locked onto it’s hall: she was going to ride a tank. Wasn’t the first time. As more and more Imperial armor rolled out from their transports, she waved her burning blade to the sky one more time. There was a hole, and she needed to get there fast as possible.

”CHARGE!”

Always made for an interesting commander, and with that: her forces rushed forward. The armor taking the front, cannons blasting both ways: explosions rocking the ground, black armored legionnaires flung high to the sky in broken plate just as did the broken corpses of the Defense Forces left dying in their trenchworks. Lirka did not care, she barked out another order for her tank to go faster. Faster. Faster. The world around her became a blur, she swung her weapon wildly once she reached the trenchline. Hitting nothing, but her transport of choice did not last long. It wasn’t supposed to. An AT round blasted into it, the Claymore sent crashing down nose first into one of the Trenchlines: but Lirka was gone. Servos built into her body whined, and she let her mag-locks deactivate; the absolute idiot had vaulted herself with a tank. The massive hunk of armor was sent flying forward, ribbon flowing in the wind: the line of Legionnaires finally clashing into the frontline of the Defenders forces. Good, they could fight it out there. Such a battle no longer mattered, she had her own objectives now. Of course, for all her ”originality“ and grace, Lirka was not the godly being she considered herself. Sticking the landing was far outside her abilities, well, now with the Force gone from her it was outside of her abilities. Another crash came as she slammed and tumbled into the ground, tearing away at the earth as she continued on that brutal tumble before stopping: that blank-faced helmet slammed into a dirt.

Well. It worked. Just not that gracefully. She laid there, for a time. Her armor grumbling to her as she rested, it had compensated for the impact of course. The damages to her body were minimal and minor, was like a bad Pod insertion. Listening to the sounds of the carnage behind her, she rose from the ground. Grabbing her Klaive from the ground and shaking off the muck.

Not so pretty or elegant now.

Beltran and his men fell through the air. Each of them had made numerous jumps in the past, some in actual combat situations and others in training. They knew how to move in order to keep control over their fall. Each soldier spread his arms and legs out from their bodies, allowing them to make the most use of the drag that Kintan's atmosphere placed on them.

Looking down at the battle, Beltran was able to truly take in the scope of the carnage unfolding below. He had been in battle before, many times, but he'd never seen death occur on this scale. It was...beautiful in a way. Like an ancient painting. There was art in killing. This was something that Beltran knew deep inside him. It was an art form that he'd perfected since his days as a starving child on the streets of Lorrd.

But this, this was a masterpiece unfolding before his eyes and all he could do for the moment was take it in.

Within moments, his attention was brought back to the matter at hand. The top of the wall where Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex had started slaughtering his way into the fortress came quickly into focus. Dozens of dead Silver Jedi soldiers lay scattered about, unmoving.

"Begin deceleration maneuvers!" He called over his squad's coms. Keying his jump jets, Beltran's body jerked as the sudden opposing force moved him from a falling position to an almost standing position. Keeping his eyes on where he wanted to go, he used his tongue and minute facial movements to guide the jump jet system where he wanted to go.

"Lieutenant!" He heard one of his men scream with panic in his voice. It was Icarus-1-8. "My jets aren't firin-aaaahh-"

The massive battle-suited form fell past Beltran and impacted on Kh'aris' wall. The force of the hit folding the suit in on itself, like a gory accordion with blood and liquidized flesh oozing out of it. There was another cut off scream a second later, as a stray bolt from on of the Sith's flak weapons punched into another of the Icarus operators, cooking him alive and sending his lifeless suit spinning off into the ether.

Beltran didn't have time to even register the two deaths before he impacted the surface of Kh'aris. Even with the use of the jump jets to slow his descent, the force of the impact forced the Lorrdian to his knees. Cracks in the duracrete below him, which had been started by the Emperor a few moments before, widened under the weight of it.

The wind was knocked out of the Lorrdian, but otherwise he was okay. He had no illusions to the fact that if he hadn't been wearing the powersuit, such an impact would have killed him just as surely as it had Icarus-1-8. The power-frame, on which the suit was built, whirred as he forced himself to his feet. Behind him, Beltran felt and heard the impacts as the rest of his team landed behind him.

Raising his "Bonesplitter" Assault Rifle, Beltran scanned his immediate surroundings. It didn't take long for him to realize that the Sith who had attacked this section had left none alive as they'd moved along the wall. This entire section was now undefended.

"Fireteams three and four," He called over coms. "I need you to move along this section and ensure that no Sith troops are able to scale it. You have to hold this section until Kharis Command can send reinforcements."

It was no easy feat that Beltran was requiring from these men, to have six defending a section that had been defended by dozens only a short time before. But his men simply acknowledged his orders and began to move rapidly along the edge of the walls, firing downward with both their Assault rifles and the semi-automated heavy blaster cannon mounted to their shoulders. To any Sith troops attempting to scale the wall, it would likely seem that an entire platoon or more of soldiers had just come onto the scene.

Glancing back at the remainder of his forces, which included four men and himself. He motioned for them to move, calling out. "On me."

The five heavily armored Rangers moved forward rapidly, utilizing the power-frame and the suit's jump jets to move at a speed far faster than any normal humanoid could go. Tracking the Sith wasn't especially difficult. One just had to follow the trail of bodies left in their wake. It didn't take long until Beltran came to where Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex and his companion stood.

Rivulets of electrical power poured out from the massive being, launching themselves at Beltran and his men. "Shield wall!" He shouted as he lowered his rifle and raised his off hand and activating a large energy shield. His men each did the same and came to stand next to him, locking their shields together against the onslaught of the Sith's lightening.

For several long moments, the powerful assault crackled against them and Beltran worried that the energy bucklers would fail before the assault ended. At the end of his line, another scream filled the air, as exactly that occurred and one of his men was roasted alive by the lightening strikes. His helmet filtered out the smell of burnt carbon and flesh, and he muted the coms transmission coming from the dying man.

When, finally, the attack ended. Beltran and the three soldiers who remained, deactivated their shields-allowing them to recharge until they were needed again. It was about this time that an ally, a Jedi Beltran didn't recognize ( Niklasz Tassik Niklasz Tassik ) arrived on the scene to challenge the massive Sith. Making use of the distraction, Beltran raised his rifle, as did his men, intending to fill the Sith with holes.

EDIT: Throughout all of this, none of the Rangers noticed as several Howlrunner tanks turned their guns on their position. A second later, Beltran saw a white flash and then everything went dark.

Reggie had found more civilians trying to get to safety and escorted them to the evacuation ships with everyone else. They weren't far from the evac, so it didn't take too long to get this group to safety. Over the Jedi comms, he heard that fighters were coming to help the evac ships move out safely. "Alright, we're getting the evacuation ships off the ground now. Whatever you can spare is helpful, so thanks for the support." The Padawan and the Rangers moved to get the last few civilians inside the ships quickly. Once they had gotten everyone inside, he motioned for the ships to take off. “Time to get moving everyone! Get those ships in the air and watch out for any threats! Fighters are on their way to defend the evac ships!”

The evacuation ships lifted off the ground and began making their way off the planet. Reggie could see the Fighter ships coming to the surface to protect them, which was great timing. The Padawan watched the ground to make sure there wasn’t anything to impede them on his end.

The fortress almost rocked in position as if it was ship on the sea.

Valkren did what he could to keep himself upright, letting the 'bonesplitter' rifle hang from his sling so he could make use of both hands to grab a hold of anything. The rest of the rangers with him did the same, several tumbling over themselves due to being in a hurry to assist their allies. When Valkren finally got his footing, he'd move to pull the nearest ranger up to his feet.

"Kh'aris actual, Hades 1-1..What the hell was that?" Valkren moved to the front of the group once more, awaiting a transmission back from the command tower.

What he received didn't sound like words, but just a mix of static and muffled voices in the distant background. It sounded like quite the commotion coming from the command room, something big must have happened.

The commander raised a hand forward, moving the twelve members of his team along the corridors. Towards the yelling. There wasn't as much of blaster fire, as there was yelling now. Eventually, the corridor would be filled with smoke. Coughing rangers and silver personnel fled past Valkren and the others, carrying their wounded or dead.

"Sithspit..What happened here?" One of his rangers murmured through their team's channel, slowing up for the moment to gawk at the destruction.

The team ventured further, before finally reaching an opening to view the true scale of the destruction. Rubble everywhere; Valkren couldn't imagine how many people were trapped underneath. How many had they lost?

"
Spread out! Look for any survivors!" Valkren shouted, shouldering his weapon just in case the survivors they found were not allies.

The soldiers from his unit spread out, pairing off if possible to provide overwatch on one-another. Valkren did the same, joining another ranger to search between the rubble. Small groups of rangers would join along with the twelve to help in the search.

"Hades 1-1, Kh'aris actual!" Finally, some answers.. Before Valkren could respond, the voice continued. "Update inbound soon! But we have a wall breach in your location! We can't let them through!"

The commander scoffed, cutting the communication with the command room and switching back to his team channel in one movement.

Pretty obvious there was a breach..

"Contacts! Wall breach!" The commander crawled over top a piece of rubble, bringing the assault blaster up and flicking the safety off. Turned out it wasn't as many soldiers here as it was someone else.

The rangers standing overtop the rubble were faced with Lirka Ka Lirka Ka

However, the team was currently oblivious that they could be fighting directly ontop of any allies and enemies that might be trapped.

Lirka sauntered forward, she held a handful of beatings on her armor but for the most part it had tanked the impact: as it was designed to do. The Emperor laid ever so close, it would be a fine chance to solidify her place among the Imperials: and make her claim to the heads of whomever she well desired.

But she had jumped ahead of herself.

It seemed some of the mortal trash had survived the incident, how disappointing. Her HUD picked up Valkren Calderon Valkren Calderon quickly, as did it find the companions with him. Rabble and trash. She wanted a Jedi, a real challenge, or someone who would’ve made for a real trophy. But alas, it seems she’d just have to deal with it for now.

But as always, she was a sight to behold. To those uninitiated to her monstrous and armored form, Lirka was not a her, or even a person, she was an it. A creature that had no right to be alive, an armored suit hid all notion of gender within it’s sharp edges and whirling runes, a creature of unholy size. Towering among most humans, and a sword hefted in those clawed gauntlets almost the size of Valkren himself. A throaty chuckle came from the creature, it was bestial, unnatural.

“I am willing to show you mercy. Show me to your commanders, and I will let you keep your limbs.”

It was the most restraint she had ever shown since becoming the reborn monstrosity she was now.

"Did you fee--"

The second blast of the railgun fire interrupted the mechanic, striking above just meters away from their position. Cara slammed a boot on the back of the mechanic's seat to keep herself from being thrown from her own. Reports of the Jedi's friendly fire on the fortress garbled through the long-range antenna of her suit, and she immediately broadcasted the information to the other subterranean units.

She rested her hand on the head of the pilot's chair, "Keep the engine hot but hold our current position."

They waited, listening with baited breath as the barrage laid upon the fortress above them. The tunnels began to collapse, pouring down their sand and stone upon the transports. An ancient fault cracked above, crashing down upon a Rumbler close by, too close. The muted groans of metal and grinding stone fast grew into a cacophony, and for a moment Cara shared the crew's apprehension.

A soldier from the back appeared behind them, "Get us outta here! We're gonna die!"

"You're out of line, back to your seat." Cara didn't face the man as she replied, focused on listening to the hectic broadcasts of several Imperial reports.

But the man was frantic, ignoring the strained whispers of his comrades to settle down. Did the empire cluster them into this durasteel box just to be crushed? He couldn't accept it. He reached out for her shoulder as a jolt from the barrage rocked the Rumbler, sending him forward and grabbing the collar of her armor instead. He sputtered, "Please, we're gonna get--"

Cara slung her left arm backward, seizing his shoulder to steady him as her right hand sprung into the face of his helmet. His head twisted around and she let go of his shoulder as the body fell backward. "Is there another coward here?! Speak up!" The anger was ripe with poisonous vigor desiring a challenge. But no one spoke, and Cara lowered her hands and stepped back in the cockpit.

Silence. The pilot and mechanic looked upward to the fragmented ceiling above. Cara broadcasted a new order.

"It's time. All units, ascend."

When the kick came, Voyance had barely the time to provide the forethought to draw her arms to her chest and cross them to guard. The kick landed and launched her away. Planting her boots into the earth she slid back and braced from the kick. Looking up she snarled. She reached out her hand and summoned her saber to herself. As the steel touched her fingers, she felt it. The shimmering residue of the Lightside and the lingering effects of psychometric Force intrusion.

Her saber’s cognitive impression in the Force had been breached and its archived history was experienced. Her suffering as a Vantooine Spice Dancer and slave, the suffering of her training under the Dark Lord of the Sith and then at the hands of the ghost of Tulak Horde. Suffering on top of suffering.

Voyance tightened her grip on the saber and squashed the residue into broken invisible vapors in the Force that evaporated.

“I’m sorry,” said the Jedi Master. ( Wyatt Morga Wyatt Morga )

Voyance threw up her open palm, motioning the Jedi to stop. She looked up to him, her golden Sith eyes beaming. A sly smile stretched slowly across her face and she shook her head slowly, it was all almost affectionate. Like an old friend excusing an old slight that had become stale.

“There is nothing to apologize for, Master Jedi,” she said.

“It is the nature of things.”

“To live is to suffer.”

Her erect palm then slid down and she moved her arm in arc gesturing to the battle that raged around them.

“And we all, suffer.”

“However…” she said, as three of her fingers curled towards the palm leaving one to be turned into a dagger straight point at the Jedi Master.

“The Jedi insult the suffering and the wisdom it brings,” she hissed at the Jedi.

She took a step closer. As she did the Darkside pooled to her body and mind. Everything drew back to her. In the Force it would appear like an undulating black miasma. And in the dark crucible of her Force consciousness the powers she held in Force Telepathy, Empathy and Min Control swirled as they were activated – pressed to the task of expanding her empathic powers. With each step, she powered these skills and held them in the deep pressured cauldron of her mind, to stew and build as she progressed the channeling with every step she took closer.

“You shun the suffering. Dismiss it. Revile it,” she continued.

“Hiding yourselves away behind fabricated codes of mercy, chivalry and benevolence.”

“You run form the suffering. Afraid to face it, afraid what it can reveal about yourself.”

“And so, even when you slay others, you call it a mercy and mourn for them. Ignoring the suffering. Lying to yourselves.”

Voyance stopped and crouched her body into a battle stance, bending her knees and raising her saber above her head. She leveled the hilt parallel to the earth while her other hand kept its pointing thrust.

“Well then, I shall impart onto you, my apprentice, the first lesson of Suffering’s Wisdoms,” she said.

Both sides of her blade then ignited.

“To live is to suffer, to suffer is to learn, to learn is to be free.”

“And I…Master Jedi…am free,” she growled.

“This freedom, gives me…power!”

Her point turned into a claw and from it spat the Darkside in a dark invisible fog that disorientated Force wielders as Voyance's empathic and telepathic powers bled across the immediate area, infusing itself around a anyone with a connection into the Force.

In her fog, the screams of the dying, the tear in the Force they created when they died and their last gasps of life became louder, more potent and more nauseous to those empathic enough. It would no doubt hurt the Jedi Master, and his Jedi followers - hindering their fighting prowess - in more ways than one. Such was the brutal first lesson of Suffering’s Wisdom.

“Those who deny its wisdom, suffer in return!” Voyance shouted to the Jedi Master telepathically – bombarding his mind with malice and hate.

Voyance then charged and moved to get in close, saber to saber.

TROUBLE
There was only one feeling he knew that was so strong, and it was not coming from him. Kyra was in massive amounts of trouble. There was darkness, dust, explosion, fire, stale air... trapped. Latching onto that feeling JJ headed toward the feeling.
There was too much happening around him. Judah’s senses were overwhelmed. The dark side permeated everything, and yet JJ didn’t seem to care. Only one thought dominated his mind. He needed to save Kyra Perl Kyra Perl . She was the only thing that currently mattered. Judah knew it was wrong to feel this way, but her fear dominated his mind. He had no idea what had happened, but Judah was on his way regardless.
“Where are you... show me,” he said mentally through their bond. He had to find her. He had to know.
(ooc: bad phone post but jumping in before it gets too busy. i’ll edit headers and make better posties tonight. :) )
