Intent: A personal weapon for Braith Achlys
Development Thread: N/A

Manufacturer: Braith Achlys
Model: N/A
Affiliation: Personal
Modularity: As with any lightsaber, it is especially easy to modify.
Production: Unique
Material:
  • Alchemized Durasteel
  • Dantari Crystals [2]
  • Krayt Dragon Pearl [2]

Classification: Saberstaff
Size: One and Two Handed
Length: 44 cm (Total Hilt Length), 22 cm per hilt separated, 140 cm (Each Blade)
Weight: 1.8 kg (Each)

Special Features:
  • Bifurcating Cyclical-Ignition Pulse: Specially designed for both out-of-water and underwater dueling and use, the bifurcating pulse prevents water from shorting out the lightsaber blade, allowing it to be used even while fully submerged.
  • Dual Phase: Much like the lightsabers of Exar Kun and Darth Vader, each blade on the saberstaff has an adjustable length, able to reduce from the standard 140 cm to 60 cm for more precise cutting, as well as increase to 200 cm to surprise enemies or increase reach. Both blades operate independently from the other, meaning one can be lengthened while the other shortened, vice-versa, or even just one blade shut off while the other remains on.
  • Twins: Perhaps a great strength and advantage in the use of this saberstaff was that the weapon is actually two lightsabers which are able to be conjoined at the base of the pommel as well as separated. This certainly adds to the potential surprise factor, as well as allows the wielder to bypass some of the more glaring weaknesses of saberstaffs if normal Jar'Kai combat is more effective.
  • Alchemized: The hilt of each saber has been treated with alchemy, as Braith was fully aware of the potential that her weapon might find its hilt being the target of assault rather than the blade in situations where she might utilized the conjoined saberstaff rather than the two blades separately. As the treatment was done by a master, Braith, who is more than competent in the art, the hilt is capable of retaining full contact with the blade of a lightsaber without being cut in two or sustaining any lasting damage. This also lends protection from stray or intentional blasters, of course, but on an unintentional basis.
  • Dantari Crystal: The crystals utilized in each blade, a set of Dantari crystals, provide a more efficient use of the force for the wielder, allowing them to slowly regain their reserves at a greater pace, as well as recycling some energy utilized in using the force.

Description:
Following her rather lackluster performance on Contruum in her short duel with a Chiss warrior, one which saw her retreat following what was essentially her defeat, Braith realized that her archaic form of combat, utilizing swords, spears, and the like weren't cut out for modern-day warfare, not without even further training. This humbling experience led her to believe that a lightsaber - or in this case two that come together at the base to make one - was now the superior weapon of choice in the galaxy at large. As she was far more skilled with her spear than her sword, one reason she attributed to her loss, the Alua'an designed the twin sabers to function as a saberstaff when conjoined at the base of the hilt or to separate and be used individually. Realizing that the longer hilt would be taken advantage of by seasoned duelists, the hilt was made of alchemized metals which fully resister potential blows from a lightsaber. The crystals present in each saber, one Dantari in each and one Krayt Pearl in each, allow her to more readily replenish her force reserves and recycle energy spent using the force. Both blades are a deep, dark, magenta in color.

For both, 0.9 kg per saber, as they're slightly shorter than standard given my smaller hands. I'll make a note of that.
