The OS-112 “Valkyrie” Jump Jet System, is a jump jet system that functions somewhat like a Jet Pack, but with a more limited range. When activated, the Valkyrie can propel an operator of 150 kilograms (approximately 300 pounds) upward approximately 20 meters and/or forward, backward or side to side approximately 10 meters for a sustained burst of approximately 10 seconds or less. It can be used to rapidly ascend or descend obstacles in the battlefield, to quickly move out of the way of incoming fire, or to increase an individual operator’s overland speed. It is not a jet pack and cannot support prolonged flight.

This has increased the overland speed of individual combat operators over threefold in battlefield test simulations

- Not A True Jet Pack: The Valkyrie Jump Jet system drastically increases an individual operators jump distance and overland speed, but it is not a true Jet Pack in the sense that it is not designed for prolonged flight like other models (ie. The Mandalorian Jet Pack) are.
The OS-112 Valkyrie Jump Jet System is a modular jump jet system designed for use with existing Obsidian Star armor systems. Using the Obsidian Star patented interface and operating system, an operator can perform vertical jumps of approximately 20 meters, and horizontal jumps in any direction of approximately 10 meters per jump. Each jump can last 10 seconds or less, and jumps can be used to soften the impacts of landings. Unlike true Jet Packs, the Valkyrie Jump Jet system is not designed for continuous flight.
