SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Saber Jockeys: Sporting a Very High resistance to Lightsabers the armored robes can take multiple strikes from a lightsaber before it completely penetrates the armor.
  • Gonna have to try Harder: The Duraplast plates and Duramesh weave used to create the armor is durable enough to offer increased resistance against Kinetic based weaponry even keeping high-velocity rounds from penetrating.
  • Light it up: While Jedi are usually proficient at blocking blaster bolts and other forms of energy weaponry, the armored robes can allow them a bit more room for error as its highly resistant to energy weaponry.
  • Forgot my charger: Between the Reinforced Duramesh and Duraplast the armor sports a high resistance against EMP or ionic based weaponry.
  • Watch where you Strike: Sporting refined cortosis gauntlets if struck by a lightsaber they can short out the weapon, while the gloves sport cortosis weave threads on the interior of the palm.
WEAKNESSES
  • Turn that noise down: There is very little resistance that the armor can provide against sonic weaponry as while it may hold up to the blast the person inside will be turned to mush.
  • UNLIMITED POWAH: Between the natural ability of Duramesh to conduct electricity and the side-effects of Cortosis, lightning is an incredibly effective attack. Sustained bursts even possibly leading to the cortosis gauntlets exploding.
Turn on the heater: The armor being relatively simple offers no protection against cryogenic technology or weaponry.
DESCRIPTION
With the galaxy in a time of Chaos and seemingly in a constant state of battle, The Jedi of the Republic needed something beyond common robes to wear out onto the Battlefield. The key to the armor was to retain the look of a Jedi while still providing adequate protection, as such a variety of materials needed to be collected and put to use in its construction.

The Reinforced Duraplast is used to make the armored plates of the armor, serving as shoulder pads, cuirass, greaves and leg harnesses. While offering decent protection the plates alone wouldn’t be enough. The second material used was Duramesh which was formed into a protective body weave to be worn beneath the armored plates and robes which were also made of the same fabric. This fabric, weave and the locations of the plates offered the Jedi the protection they needed without reducing their mobility or flexibility by much.

Have you ever noticed how many famed Jedi lose their hands? Well, that’s why the designers included Cortosis gauntlets, even weaving it into the gloves of the armor to offer protection against other sabers. With the gauntlets being refined they were known for shorting out lightsabers on contact and interfering with the energy fields of other forms of weaponry. The gloves sporting the weave would allow the Jedi to potentially catch the blade of an opponent’s lightsaber though it’s not highly advised to do it for too long. Cortosis, however, comes with its own negative side effects such as the effects of lightning and similar forms of weaponry that when used in sustained amounts could lead to the gauntlets even exploding.

The Jedi aren’t individuals that need heavy armor or substantial amounts of tech so a rancor-leather utility belt was added to each of them. The utility belts are for the most part empty but have a few special features that come such as a grappling spike launcher or fibercord grappling hook to aid in traversing areas or even to be used in combat if creative enough.
