Valkren Calderon was born to his parents, Keith and Karen Calderon, along with his eldest brother Matthew and younger sister Ellin. The family lived on their farmstead on Alderaan, which had been passed down several generations. Valk' spent most of his childhood attending school and working on the farm. Eventually, the Galactic Republic came calling, and took with them his father and older brother. Whilst his father was slotted into their Navy, and brother in the special forces program, Valkren was left with only the option to cease his education and continue working on the farm to help his mother and younger sister.
One day, the message came to the Calderon family homestead that both Matthew and Keith Calderon had been reported Missing In Action. Following the message, at the age of eighteen Valkren enlisted with the Galactic Republic to take up the fight to the One Sith. He left Alderaan and what remained of his family behind and exchanged them for a blaster rifle. After basic, he went straight for Officer Candidate Selection like his brother and father had done. After a drinking mishap and a few unauthorized sparring sessions with his fellow cadets, he was promptly kicked out of OCS and placed directly into a Galactic Republic Marine unit. Seemingly a downfall, Valkren made the best of the situation: he rose through the ranks during his nine years with the Galactic Republic. Turning down several officer commissions, he instead chose to join the ranks of the Republic Special forces, much like his brother did before him. A highly decorated commando, Valkren led 'Saber Team:' a five-man team that specialized in high-risk search-and-destroy missions. They turned out to be his closest friends, and his family away from home. However, after the fall of the Galactic Republic, Saber team remained together and took it upon themselves to [INFORMATION REDACTED BY ORDER OF THE SILVER SHADOWS]
After [INFORMATION REDACTED BY ORDER OF THE SILVER SHADOWS], Valkren found himself lost. He was lost for the better part of a year, until running into someone he knew from his Republic days: Master Arisa Yune. Arisa saw his potential and immediately offered him a position within the Silver Jedi's Militarized branch, the Antarian Rangers. It was an offer he couldn't refuse. After a brief stint in training, and several leadership sessions to get Calderon caught up on current events, he was instated as a Colonel. His first operation took himself and an armored unit with a infantry attachment to Ord Radama. It was on Ord Radama where Colonel Calderon, Valae Kitra, and Jerit Kolomor led the Rangers head on into Sith forces in a dense swamp. It was on that day that the First Ranger Special Tactics Unit, or 'Radama Raiders,' was born. From then on the colonel had dedicated himself to duty once again, leading the Radama Raiders on a countless number of successful operations.
