OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a line of personal shield generators for Jaeger Solutions
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Restricted Missions: N/A
  • Primary Source: Military Mobility Shield
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Jaeger Solutions
  • Model: SG-1001 "Vishnu" Military Shield
  • Affiliation: Open-Market
  • Modularity: No.
  • Production: Mass-Produced
  • Material: Reinforced Duraplast │ Shield Projectors │ Augmented Capacitors │ Dallorian Cooling Vents
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Energy Shielding
  • Sonic Absorbtion
  • Extreme Enviromental Protection
  • Redundant Shielding
  • Electro-Shock
Strengths:
  • Tough Exterior -
    • Able to resist most forms of energy based damage, sonic weaponry, and extreme environments including radiation, the "Vishnu" is a shield of top grade. On par with the likes of many Verpine Prototype Shielding, and even Military Mobility Shields, there is little this shield can not do on the battlefield or personal protection wise; fully capable of defending its wearer from most traditional forms of combat and then some.
  • Layers Like An Onion -
    • While able to hold up against up to 50 heavy blaster shots from even mounted turrets, should the shield begin to lose its energy and the internal computers sense it will soon fail; a secondary shield projector will be ignited with the stored capacitor energy, allowing a singular second chance to compensate while the first recharges. Now, this 'secondary' shielding is run strictly off capacitors, which take priority over running it. While it can maintain its shielding for some take, it is not nearly as strong as the first and can take less than 30 of the same heavy blaster rounds. The hope being that the other shield recharges within the minute of downtime before the second layer fails.

Should the first layer fail again, there is no redundancy to save the user. The capacitors charge passively, and require nearly a full hour before being ready to be used once more. That means that the saving grace only applies once in the duration of most fights.
  • Electro-Shock Therapy -
    • Should the user be grabbed, the shield would release a hard shock on whoever it was to reach for them. Electrostatically adhering to any living tissue, the shield released an electrical shock capable of stunning or knocking out the average aggressor. The microcell powering this secondary function will work up to three times within an hour before needing to be recharged, forcing it to be a situational grace like the redundancy.
Weaknesses:
  • Energy Exclusive -
    • Jaeger Solutions was unable to make the shield contain a particle shield as it once hoped, as much as it tried. Any traditional slug throwers or kinetic blade strike will easily pierce the shielding layer, forcing the user to embrace the pain of being struck. Although there are defenses against living tissue being involved should the user be in a pugilist engagement, there are no defenses against other weapons the galaxy holds.
  • Large Form -
    • Due to the additional capacitors and microcells, not to mention secondary shield projectors, the shield is far larger than its Military Mobility Shield counterpart. Because of this, there is a glaring issue of size, and portability. While one could fit on a belt, the 'Vishnu' finds itself only able to be put on armors capable of utilizing it, and not more traditional civilian use nor standard protection.

DESCRIPTION
Although not the first run into the galaxy utilizing protective equipment, the Vishnu class personal shielding finds itself as the pinnacle of a new line of shields made by Jaeger Solutions. Able to protect its users against everything traditional shields come with, with additional abilities few would even seek in a shield, it fills a void few even knew they had. Able to protect against the fist fighter, the gunslinger, and the sonic rampages of unknown amounts of mercenaries;
The only weakness the shield seems to truly suffer from is its inability to find a foothold in civilian markets. Strictly a military application, the use of the shield requires an armor to incorporate it into its design from the get go lest the user suffer from its cumbersome nature. In this same fashion, the shield is impossible to hide, and can be damaged should someone truly wish to do so.
Suffice to say, while the shield is strong in terms of traditional shields amongst the galaxy with its own practical applications outside the battlefield, it truly comes to life when faced with total war. Mandalorians, Inquisitors, even Jedi could find themselves in need of its protection and ability, should the time ever come.

Mostly looks good to go. Just one minor thing to address.

Your formatting seems to have gone for tea here. Nothing really vital, but I thought you might appreciate the chance to fix it.
