Life is more than a series of ones and zeroes.

    Serving The First Order.

BB-610 was manufactured on the planet of Hosnian Prime, tailored specifically by and for The First Order. A top of the line astromech, BB-610's duty was to provide constant maintenance and surveillance throughout the many starships used by First Order fleets. Like all First Order droids, BB-610 was subject to routine memory wipes on the daily in order to keep him from developing a identity - remaining a mindless drone.

During one of the many back-and-forths between The First Order and The Resistance, BB-610 found himself caught in the crossfire. The droid's servos damaged and temporarily disabled, he fell into enemy hands, rebooting back in a Resistance base. While the frequent memory wipes had prevented the enemy from discovering any First Order plans, BB-610 was nonetheless modified and reprogrammed to serve The Resistance, taking advantage of the droid's modern advanced technology.

    GADividerBlue.png

    Reprogrammed Resistance.

Under new care, BB-610 began another life as a Resistance droid. Despite the modifications to his servos, leftover First Order programming still resided within him, and as such, BB-610 would periodically - albeit briefly - revert back to his original self. This caused an array of inconveniences, as spontaneous mood swings would frequently get the astromech viciously attacking his allies, earning the droid an unreliable reputation among The Resistance. While frequent memory wipes had ceased, the personality BB-610 would gradually develop was influenced greatly by the status he'd received. The droid had finally learned how to feel, but those feelings very seldom existed outside of deep sadness and guilt.

Assigned to another mission, BB-610 was selected as a Resistance pilot's accompanying astromech. Suffering heavy firepower from First Order fleets, the starship was struck and heavily damaged; BB-610, seizing his opportunity to remedy the stigma against him, sought to repairing it to keep them airborne. Unfortunately, the droid's old programming kicked in, with BB-610 adamantly refusing to repair any damages. What followed was the near death of both the droid and the pilot, which served as the straw that finally broke the camel's back. Unbeknownst to him, Resistance members began planning on ways to rid themselves of the astromech.

To his surprise, BB-610 was granted another mission, informed by his superiors that it was his most important yet. Stationed on a remote planet, the droid was told that he was to remain in place as lookout while The Resistance infiltrated First Order bases to relay information to him. Eager to prove his worth and fix his mistakes, BB-610 accepted and awaited the return of his superiors as he remained perfectly still in a sea of sand.

    They never came back.

    GADividerBlue.png

    Exile and Salvation.

Days, weeks, months went by. BB-610 never once moved, recording every second of every day, loyally waiting for The Resistance to come back. Months turned to years, power reserves damaged from how often the droid remained online, scared of missing any Resistance ships. Servos beginning to fail, the years had finally chipped away at him, rusting away, all but abandoned. BB-610 powered down one last time, and prayed that droids could dream, as it was the only way for him to experience a life worth living.

Almost a millennia had passed. BB-610's body had been taken in by offworld Jawas, disposed of with an assortment of scrap after a raid to their sandcrawler. Chance encounters led to chance encounters, with the astromech passed along the planet until he had finally been inadvertently dumped in junk, bounty hunters having destroyed the facility he had ended up in. Far from the desert he was first left on, BB-610 lay lifeless in an abandoned city, slowly reclaimed by nature as the days went by. Overtaken by mass from years of dormancy, a stray droplet of rain found itself trickling onto some exposed circuitry, kickstarting the droid's systems and forcing him back online. Awakening by his lonesome, BB-610 slowly explored the world he had reactivated in, having long since given up hope on The Resistance returning.

Dishevelled and wary of humanity, he'd stumble across an ancient Delta-7B. Repairing the vessel over a series of weeks, BB-610 finally piloted it offworld in an attempt to travel the galaxy and forge his own path - one without The First Order or The Resistance.

    GADividerBlue.png

    DEEP DOWN, YOU KNOW
    YOU WEREN'T BUILT FOR FIGHTING.
    BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN
    YOU'RE NOT PREPARED TO TRY.

    WHAT THEY DON'T KNOW
    IS YOUR REAL ADVANTAGE:
    WHEN YOU LIVE FOR SOMEONE
    YOU'RE PREPARED TO DIE.

BB-610 was, like all First Order droids, completely devoid of personality, his frequent memory wipes keeping him as nothing more than a tool to provide maintenance on starships. Following his reprogramming at the hands of The Resistance, BB-610 now suffers from what can be best described as the droid equivalent of bipolar disorder; remnants of First Order programming still linger in his system, sporadically reverting him to a state of manic hysteria ever so briefly. During these episodes, BB-610 is utterly emotionless and highly aggressive, caring very little about his own safety and insisting on killing anything his code deems as a threat to his mission.

While often random, BB-610's old programming can be forcibly triggered upon exposure to certain key elements: witnessing a First Order soldier or a rogue Jedi, for example. Moments of distress and emotional turmoil also heighten the chances of him reverting, resulting in a breakdown.

Unsurprisingly, these episodes were received poorly amongst The Resistance, earning BB-610 a negative reputation. As nobody cared to trust him, the droid would steadily develop a low self-esteem, plagued with guilt. Despite this, BB-610 is very loyal, and remains a competent friend if one were to get close with him. While initially skittish and wary of those around him, once BB-610's trust is earned, it's rather difficult to get rid of him. Resourceful and very capable under pressure, the astromech proves to be a strong ally and very seldom goes against orders, seeking approval from anyone and everyone.

Added to the list of symptoms, BB-610 experiences extreme co-dependence and a guttural fear of abandonment, with years of solitude after having been left to rot weighing heavily on his psyche. BB-610 feels a desperate need to be validated, and wants to actively make a difference in the lives of those around him.

To BB-610, nothing is more important than feeling like he matters. He thirsts for a life in which he leaves a positive impact, to stand out and earn a spotlight to scrub away at the long list of mistakes he's made. The droid now suffers a mixed feeling regarding factions, as the sensation of simply being yet another bland cog in a machine leaves a bitter taste in his mouth.

    STRENGTHS
    WEAKNESSES

    Technical_Support2.png
    TECHNICAL SUPPORT
BB-610's most notable skill is an astromech's inherent ability to repair starships, machinery, and other vessels. In addition to that, astromech droids make for natural pilots, capable of syncing their droidbrains with most starships, allowing them to calculate jumps into hyperspace, operate a ship's weaponry, and activate any shields - making BB-610 an excellent partner during dogfights and aerial missions overall.

    Swiss_Armyt2.png

    SWISS-ARMY KNIFE

BB-610, like all astromechs, sports an assortment of different tools, housed within his chassis. While most are used to aid his role as a technician, they nonetheless provide him with a wide array of utility in everyday situations and can quickly get him and his allies out of trouble in a pinch. This, coupled with a BB-unit's rather fast speed, leaves BB-610 with a surprisingly broad selection of defensive options with the vast collection of equipment he has at his disposal.

    Smoke2.png
    LOW PROFILE
BB-610's data probe allows him to access data within ports. This makes him an excellent slicer, as most doors, stations and machines have astromech ports, letting BB-610 freely tap into them to manipulate any machinery connected to them. Not only that, but BB-610's role as a relatively harmless and insignificant droid can allow him to slip past enemies and remain unnoticed. His small stature and general nature can sometimes lead to many underestimating him, allowing BB-610 to swiftly gain the upper hand.
    Shock_Prod2.png
    LOW DAMAGE OUTPUT
While BB-610 can defend himself if need be, he still remains a comparatively weak astromech droid. His electro-shock prod may leave a more lasting impact on other droids, but in any other confrontation against a skilled combatant, BB-610 will surely lose - especially if they're a Force user. This leaves the droid with the options to hide, run, or try and outsmart his opponents, as he's sorely lacking in the 1-vs-1 department.

    Health2.png

    VULNERABILITY

Not only is BB-610 unfit to duel organics head-on, but he is also at the complete mercy of anti-droid attacks: EMPs, hacks, memory wipes, and buzz droids all prove to be serious threats to him. Additionally, if BB-610 were to fall into enemy hands, any plans stored inside his memory banks could be retrieved, and while it's already happened once, there's nothing stopping BB-610's captors from entirely stripping him of his memories and reprogramming him to serve them.

    Shock2.png
    JEKYLL & HYDE
Leftover First Order programming still exists within BB-610's system, causing it to activate at random intervals. These result in brief violent episodes in which the droid can abruptly turn on all those around him, proving a danger to everybody including himself, as any self-preservation instincts are entirely neglected when under his old programming's influence. During these moments, not only is BB-610's reckless behavior enough to get him biting off more than he can chew, but it can also spontaneously acticate in crucial moments of need, devastating his own team as he briefly turns against them.

UPDATE: As of 05/10/2023, BB-610's personality splits have calmed down significantly on account of the love and support he's received from Valery and his friends. As these outbursts were directly tied to his mental health, they've decreased in appearance due to BB-610 being in a much better place now.

    An Agent of Chaos.

Throughout his many travels following the departure on his barely functional Delta-7B, BB-610's path eventually led him to an uncharted moon in the Unknown Regions, housing a self-operating droid facility. Through complications with his First Order programming, BB-610 unwillingly found himself allying with a faction known as The Agents of Chaos, a freedom fighting group led by Scherezade deWinter Scherezade deWinter . Still wary of humanity, he'd contemplate as The Agents of Chaos would extend an invitation to the BB-unit as thanks for the assistance in the factory's destruction. Reluctantly, BB-610 accepted the offer, in part of the gnawing voice at the back of his mind begging for affection.

Now amongst a faction once more, BB-610 would start a new life for himself, one with those he prayed would not neglect and abuse him. He had already gotten good first impressions with Scherezade, who had gotten him repaired and refurbished after nearly a millennia of dormancy.

Following his days as an Agent, one of BB-610's first pivotal missions had him partake in a battle between The Eternal Empire and The Galactic Alliance, in which he allied with The Eternal Empire as they invaded Byss. BB-610 took part in the Agents' fleet, and in the process, was assigned his very first partner - togruta Bella Bella . While their relationship kicked off to a rocky start, the two gradually warmed up to each other as they were forced to rely on one another during the space battle. During the scuffle, the Agents were incredibly outnumbered, hindering their chances and stacking the odds against them, but Bella and BB-610 were able to deal significant damage to The Galactic Alliance's central corvette.

Forced to retreat, the duo returned to the Agents of Chaos' base. One of the few remaining ships from their fleet, but the seeds of a wonderful friendship had been planted between them. They would meet again through social events, rescue missions, and repeated dogfights for The Eternal Empire, wherein their relationship had blossomed into a playfully snarky chemistry.

    GADividerBlue.png

    Black Box System.

Throughout his various attendances at galactic ceremonies, BB-610 would stumble upon conjoined twins Willow & Ivy Willow & Ivy . He immediately formed a kindred bond with them, appreciating their energy and kindness. A chance encounter on the planet of Xolu, the three of them would find themselves amidst a chain of events that threatened the livelihood of the ragtag ensemble that had gathered in one of the settlements. People had been murdered, and the group had been lured into danger for the amusement of someone unknown. Now reduced to playthings, they had been tossed into a pen that housed a series of terrifying assassin droids - ones that towered over anything and everything, with sirens that bled into the ears of all.

Escape seemed futile, as very few of them were equipped at handling the unorthodox monsters. Having spotted his Delta-7B nearby, BB-610 bit the bullet and doubled down on his act of heroism; swerving past the droids and rushing to his ship, the astromech was just barely able to activate its cannons. While the blasts weren't enough to kill the assassin droids, BB-610 had nonetheless bought the twins enough time to board a shuttle - however, his commitment had come with a cost. BB-610 was easily crushed by one of the monsters, sustaining the most damage in his lifetime, systems knocked offline and barely salvaged along with his ship as the group made their escape offworld.

The next time BB-610 would reboot, he found himself within one of The Eternal Empire's stations, fully repaired besides some lingering rust. Confused, the droid realized that little over a year had passed since his deactivation, and that he'd missed several key events across the galaxy. Deeply upset that nobody in the Empire had bothered to wake him, BB-610 took off in his Delta-7B in search for peace away from it all.

Of course, nothing is ever quite so easy, and his soulsearching on the planet of Adarlon had netted him some trouble with the locals. Thankfully, a mysterious woman had intervened to save the droid from danger - and a Jedi, no less.

    GADividerBlue.png

    The Galactic Alliance.
BB-610's search for peace had resulted in the opposite: a meeting with a mysterious Jedi, Valery Noble Valery Noble . After cleaning him up and offering to take him with her, the droid opted to hesitantly accept. During their flight to Coruscant, the duo were attacked by a pair of Vulture droids, with a dogfight ensuing; working together, BB-610's First Order programming emerged, an internal battle as he tried to kill the Jedi, the enemy of The Eternal Empire. After the chaos had concluded and the astromech's regular programming had returned, Valery was surprisingly patient and accepting of him, a first for the troublesome little droid. Perplexed by her kindness after having assumed she would abandon him like everyone else had, BB-610 wondered if staying with The Eternal Empire was truly the right path to take.

Strolling through the New Jedi Order temple, BB-610 realized that most of his information regarding the Jedi had been propaganda fed to him by The First Order and The Eternal Empire. Hesitant to leave Valery's side after she'd shown him such warmth, she selflessly offered him to stay with her, giving the droid an ultimatum: remain with The Eternal Empire and fight against the first person to offer him help, or side with the Jedi and defect as a traitor. Musing long and hard, the decision was made. From that day onwards, BB-610 opened a new chapter in his life as a member of The Galactic Alliance, and the droid of Jedi Master Valery Noble. Severing ties with the Empire, and all those he'd known, including Bella, he wondered if this was finally the path to healing he'd been looking for.

Now on the lightside and permanently living with Valery and her daughter Vera, BB-610 accompanied Valery on a myriad of missions. From sabotaging a Mawite listening outpost and subsequently leading a dogfight against it, to exploring the dying world of Xa Fel, BB-610 met several new friends, including Valery's husband Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble and Padawan Corazona von Ascania Corazona von Ascania respectively, Kahlil's own Padawan Capris Halcyon Capris Halcyon , and engineer Jalen Kai'el Jalen Kai'el . Despite the trials and tribulations the little astromech went through, these bonds were healthier than any he'd formed in his previous factions, and while it stung to know that he was now considered an enemy to his former friends, BB-610 was confident that he'd made the right choice.

    GADividerBlue.png

The End of the Second Great Hyperspace War.
Having officially cemented himself as an ally of The Sword of the Jedi and The Galactic Alliance, BB-610 was among many that took part in the planned annihilation of Exegol. At its prelude, the droid joined Valery and Corazona during the invasion of Selvaris, eventually directly engaging a Sith Lord - Darth Mori - in battle alongside his friends. Outmatched, the Sith was forced to flee, with the trio emerging victorious. BB-610 helped to heal Corazona after Mori had wounded her, and the three of them returned to their stations, greatly shaken but triumphant nonetheless. Upon the day of the annihilation itself, BB-610 was assigned to Strike Team Kenobi, a team tasked with infiltrating the Maw's enemy ships to redirect their gunfire from the inside. Boarding the gunship, BB-610 successfully managed to reprogram its cannons to strike down its sisters, diverting attention off of the Alliance's ground force and allowing them to press forward.

With the Maw setting its sights on the seized gunship, BB-610 partnered with Jasper Kai'el in escaping via one of its Ugly starfighters, wherein they fled the exploding vessel and supported the remaining war via dogfighting. With The Galactic Alliance's combined efforts, The Brotherhood of the Maw's forces were snuffed out, and the planet of Exegol was finally destroyed, thwarting the Maw's influence over the galaxy and officially putting an end to the Second Great Hyperspace War.

The ensuing years of relative peace were spent in a much more domestic manner. While occasionally assisting Valery in hunting down any remnants of the Dark Side, BB-610 primarily oversaw the Jedi's new triplets while her and Kahlil focused on missions, taking advantage of the pseudo-retirement the end of the war had provided. Things took a turn for the worse, however, when Valery was tracked down and subsequently captured by Danton Danton , a Sith that had escaped the Alliance's asylum after she'd taken him prisoner during the annihilation of Exegol. Stricken by grief and wracked by guilt for not having been able to stop it, BB-610 powered himself down indefinitely, refusing to wake up as he was placed within the Jedi Temple alongside the Noble children as Valery spent a week being tortured prior to her rescue.

To Kyrinov Kyrinov and Nighthaunter Nighthaunter :

I never said I was going to pluck the droid myself, I know someone who can do it for me...since it's a lot safer that way.

To BB-610 BB-610

Once I get a hold of you, I hope you don't mind me reprogramming you....I can't have a feisty droid in my barracks or you'll get shot by my comrades.

I've been reprogrammed once, and it didn't end well. And that was without an entire organization of friends.

So you're very welcome to try, The Agents need some target practice after all these months.~

To Kyrinov Kyrinov :
Oh I WILL get a hold of him and maybe you too if you get in my way~

To BB-610 BB-610 :
Even if I have to disassemble you piece by piece, I'm sure there is one way or another to reprogram you. Oh and those agents of your's, you can tell them to get ready to be picked-off one by one by my rifle, because they just don't know who they are dealing with. :p
