Faction Mashinirium | Agents of Chaos

re3GLA.png

Mashinirium. That was the name they had decided to call themselves –a group of sentient droids that had put up camp on some moon in the Unknown Regions. The information brokers of the Scintilla had attempted to locate the origin of these droids, where they were made, even a why, but they could not locate an origin or a source. For a short time, they had even entertained the idea that these were not sentient droids at all, but only droids that were programmed to lie about it, some sort of a joke from some far away architect.

But they were not. Normally, a bunch of metal lumps on some moon would not give them cause to worry. Would not give anyone cause to worry. But then the nearby communications were overridden with various message that all boiled down to; slay the organics. Take their planets. To say that it was strange would be an understatement. And yet, as any good group that received the message and know what its consequences could be if it went ignored, they knew they had to search deeper.

A small amount of individuals from the Agents of Chaos had been collected for the mission. Their plan was simple; infiltrate the droid factory and see what exactly the Mashinirium intended on doing. Check if pershaps they could be turned to allies. And in case of danger, flee and call in for bigger and heavier forces to nuke the factory and its surrounding area completely out of existence.

A small Sith Infiltrator was taken for the mission, its stealth used to keep the Agents hidden until the very last possible moment. Equipment that could detect various sensors and other forms of metal danger were given to the team as well. And above all, the group was warned – come back alive. Do not let them capture you. This is an investigation and nothing beyond that was permitted.

Seated in the Ready Room, Scherezade yawned and leaned more back in her recliner, trying to get a good stretch. It was always so weird to her to be on this model of a ship, which was identical to her personal one, and yet so different in every possible way. For one thing, there was no blood magic on the walls. No souvenirs of traumas past. No endless piles of paper with blueprints and plans and other things that she had thought she would bring to life and had made before she realized her power was to destroy.

Blinking, the Blood Hound forced herself back to the now. "Breaking atmo' in five minutes!" she yelled, knowing that her voice could reach anywhere in the small ship. She sound, at least, moved around the space more or less the same. A few more Agents had been sent with her, the bigmab'bos on top deciding it was better not to send the volatile worried woman on her own. They were probably happy to have something to give her to do. Since her sister's disappearance in ORC territory, Scherezade hadn't entirely been herself.

Jumping off the recliner, the tall woman began to check all the blades she carried on her body. All fifteen pointy blades were accounted for, as were two lightsabers and four firearms with replacements. A few small black sticker-like things that would give their slicers access to the databanks in the factory were also in her pockets, as was a datapad with a virus in case things went wrong, a recording device, a comm device, and some other boring stuff that she wouldn't realize she had until it was a life or death situation.

"Everyone ready?"

Nicole isn't quite sure why she decided to come along. She isn't apart of this group at least she doesn't think she is. One day, she just had a pop up in her inbox and, well, here she is now. Hopefully this won't be too bad of a mission, or contract, or whatever this actually is. To her? Its exploration and knowledge. Learning what she couldn't in the past. Being something. Making a name for herself. A sigh escapes her lips.

When the 'Captain' speaks out, Nicole checks her own gear. Her saber, a blaster of some-kind, a few supplies if things go sour, her vials that she carries on her. Everything does seem to be in order. The short girl stutters slightly. "Uhh, Y, Yeah, Yeah yeah. I, I think so."

Nyree was new to this whole "gun" thing. She could barely tell the front end of the barrel from the back end. And the past few days--well Finette was working to change that. After Zonju, she knew that something had to change. She called up Finette, the previous gun she had hired and worked with to tie up some .... messy ends. You didn't smuggle and steal without making a few dirties, after all. Finette was the best shot Nyree knew. She was the hardest hardballer. And she was one of the cutest that Nyree had ever seen too. Leather did a lot for her--enough to make Nyree want to find out what she looked like out of it.

Well, more than usual with the girls and boys.

Even amid these warrior and armored crack shots, Nyree had to stay true to herself. She tucked her hands in her low-riding short's pockets, walking into the armory. Her shimmer, spidersilk black crop top caught the fluorescent lights, giving off an unnatural, otherworldly glow like her metallic, pink lipstick and eye shadow. Her hands, clad in fingerless, studded gloves opened one of the drawers. A silver slug thrower lay in the center of the drawer with a brown bantha hide holster.

She swallowed, looking at the weapon. She had never really--really killed anyone before. She had never carried one of these. Nyree knew once she put this on, there was no going back. She was crossing a line that couldn't be doubled back on. She was going from bystander and watcher to participant in the fight within the galaxy.

Her matching pink nails trailed along the gunmetal thoughtfully. It was crips, clean, utilitarian; a weapon of destruction. The brunette gingerly holstered the pistol and gripped the leather belt in both hands. She fumbled, trying to clasp it around her waist. It was too cumbersome and the firearm on its side only made it harder. Plus the lack of beltloops to rely on made it unlike any other belt the gal had worn before. 10/10 was already not having a good time.

This was her first battle outside of trials and tests and hunts that shes endured on Dathomir during her Initiations until she made herself a better weapon she settled for the traditional Chain sickle and a few others toys she got when she joined the silencers she finished tightening the last pieces of her Nightsuit that she got as a gift for joining the silencers, It was different from her standard wear but it would prove very useful in this battle. She didnt know or met anyone who came with them but as long as they stayed out of her way she had nothing to pay them mind too. She checked if her Energy bow was fully armed and ready to fire when she needed them too before she put it on a holster on her back and put her daggers and blades in their appropriate slots before she waited for the time to go.

First person to react was a slip of a girl, short with pointy ears. Scherezade had never seen her before this mission, but she knew her name and some dry stats about her. The rest would be revealed as they pressed forward; soon enough the ship would find where to land and all time to socialize would officially be over.

Gaze moving to Nyree, Scherezade said nothing. The girl now wore firearms; something that Scherezade had been keen enough to notice was not there before. Heck, she could still remember the semi tongue lashing Kamryn had given her over having no armor and no weapons. She remembered having wanted to make her something, a weapon of sorts. It seemed that now was as good as time as any, and she resolved to do it once they were back at the Scintilla.

Third was Herah. A Nightsister. Scherezade's face had to remain blank; it had been her experience that the Witches of Dathomir tended to rarely react positively when they learned of the oath she had sworn and given, that she would some day be the one to destroy Dathomir, to turn its surface into little beyond dust. It was a promise made to a woman who had ruled the planet thousands of years ago and would never rule there again.

Nodding to them all, Scherezade walked to the cockpit, trading words and explanations with the information droid that was there, plugged to all the systems. She returned a moment later.

"We're not landing," the grin ran from ear to ear, "we're jumping out. There's enough oxygen on the planet so no breathing equipment required." Producing the bottle she'd taken from the droid, she opened it and gave each of the women a small round sticker. "Place this somewhere it will not slip. As long as this is properly stuck to your skin, it hides your heat signature. Hopefully, that's all the droids are watching out for in the physical realm."

And then without waiting, she stepped into the cargo bay, and from there – the door opened and she just let herself fall out.

But there totally was a stack of parachutes for those who weren't into the jumping thing.

Nicole watches as her apparent Captain looking at her every movement. The small woman takes some nice and calming deep breathes. More thoughts roam her mind about why she is here. Then she hears what Scherezade speaks about. "Wait, Jumping? I've uhh, Never really jumped out of a ship before. Uhh. Is this normal procedure here?" Nicole takes the sticker though, and makes sure to place it somewhere on her person. Probably tucked away on her arm or something like that, and walks behind her entering the cargo bay... "Because I, I uhh, don't feel... Safe? Yeah. Safe jumping out of a sh.... and... she just... jumped... Okay."

Nicole just stands there now in total shock. After just a few more moments of this, she rushes over to get one of the parachutes and struggles to get the damn thing on. "Why do I seem to find myself being surrounded by odd people..." She mutters, finally getting the chute on and slowly walking towards the edge of the ship. She has not jumped yet.

Dehringer picks himself up quickly from the ground where he had been sleeping moments before as he hears Scherezade giving them orders. He quickly takes the sticker she handed him and innocently squashes it against his forehead. Yep, that should do the trick!

This is his first mission as a member of the Agents of Chaos. He joined because of the vision of the group... the idea of liberating the oppressed planets from galactic governments... at least that is what he would tell you anyways. deep down inside, he just wanted to find a group of people that maybe, one day, he could consider to be his new family. But he would never dare tell anyone that... that would be way to vulnerable and embarrassing if anyone knew.

He is still feeling uneasy, as every face is still very new to him. Scherezade was the one who recruited him, so he tends to gravitate towards her in an attempt to find some sort of connection in the midst of everything being so new. He looks down and fidgets with the two grappling hooks that are strapped to his wrists and hidden underneath his jacket. As a spy and a thief, his arsenal was very much different than his companions. He had been chosen for this mission because of His unique skillset, and their mission was primarily infiltration and reconnaissance... very much up his ally.

As Scherezade falls from the ship, Dehringer pauses for a moment. Yes, he is afraid, and yes, he has never jumped out of a ship at this hight before, but he quickly swallows all of those fears for the sake of impressing the rest of the crew... especially Scherezade. He jumps up and grabs a parachute, slinging it over his shoulders and strapping it down very, very tightly.

He bounds over to Neyana Neyana and puts his hand lightly on her arm, standing next to her and looking out after Scherezade. He looks up at her, and with a bit of forced excitement, says "Hey! don't worry! these parachutes almost always open correctly!" With his comforting words successfully delivered to his new companion, he closes his eyes tightly and jumps off the ship after Scherezade.

Finette had only recently left her home planet of Dosuun. While she was relatively new to being associated with the Agents of Chaos she was no stranger to being in a fight with odds against her. The small brunette had been recruited by Nyree Justice Nyree Justice who had hired her for a bodyguard yet the two had become very close friends that was when Nyree had asked her to teach her to defend herself and Finette jumped at the chance to help her friend. With that Finette began her journey in the larger galaxy.

On this day, in particular, Finette was chosen to be a part of the mission to infiltrate the droid facility just in case things went south. before leaving the crew quarters on the ship to head to the ready room the small brunette made herself ready. Her weapons of choice were primitive by the galactic standard but she preferred them for their reliability and the fact that force users could not deflect them with a lightsaber. The two slugthrowers Finette had in front of her were her favorites, handed down from her adopted father they were a flat gunmetal grey for the most part however the barrel and frame had been customized with gold engraving. Looking them over one last time Finette picked them both up and holstered them with the handles forward for she was faster that way.

The last slugthrower setting before her was the last thing her adopted father had given her before passing away. It was a Lever action rifle with a stock made from Brylark wood for its strength and durability. It was Finettes go to if she needed a longer range gun. She took ahold of the forend of the gun and slung it over her shoulder before making her way to the ready room and finding Nyree "Hello there" She said smiling

Nyree finally clasped the leather belt around her waist. Her fingers snaked down her leg, strapping the blaster to her thigh. Damn, these things were so heavy. No wonder the dudes and chicks who always carried them around were so hot and muscular. Finette came up behind her. Unlike the sassy queen, Finette apparently wasn't wearing the latest in fashionable boot-wear. Finette--well, she must have had functionality in mind when she geared up for this venture (and who on earth does that? It's so--well middle class) because the girl didn't hear her new companion coming up after her until Finette was right behind her.

It didn't help that she was engrossed in Scherezade deWinter Scherezade deWinter 's little speech about jumping and stickers. She grabbed one of them and delicately placed it on her lapel. Yes, she would most certainly be parachuting into this venture. No free falls for now, kthx.

Suddenly she jumped at Finette's greeting.

"Holy sh!t," Nyree gasped turning on her booted heel. Her brown eyes and mouth were both wide and agape. The brunette swallowed, "I mean, if I'm at least gonna be surprised, at least it's a hot surprise."

She took one of the stickers and tacked it on Finette's jacket, "Your no good to me dead, Miss Cans--I mean guns. Miss Guns."

The brunette grabbed a parachute off the stack. The buckle took a little extra slack to clasp over her ample chest and her crop top. Her perfectly messy, curled hair whipped around her face as she beamed a smile towards the leather-clad lady. "Thanks for coming with. I'm glad you decided to come help be my back up here."

She offered Finette one of the parachutes as well. Whether or not the gunslinger accepted, Nyree took a few steps backwards towards the sheer drop to doom, "You ever jump from something this far?"

She gave Nicole a side look as she came side by side with the other lady. She smirked before turning back to Finette, "It's only scary if you scream and fail the whole time, thinking about your death. I once saw a dude who's chute didn't deploy. Boom. Instant death. We had to suck him up with a vacuum."

She unbuckled her parachute and aimed it at Nicole with a soft shove towards without breaking eye contact with Finette. She winked at her protector, "Hope you can catch me."

With that she took a half step back and began free falling, her crop top and hair whipping around her like a torrent.

Herah stood up and walked over as each person on the ship went to deploy hearing from Scherezade deWinter Scherezade deWinter that they were jumping out instead of landing made her smirk abit before she walked over and grabbed one of the stickers she mentioned and placed it on her shoulder before she saw Scherezade just flat out free fall, She just met the woman and already admired her for her way to make an entrance as she walked over to Neyana Neyana who was hesitant to jump as everyone else was jumping either with a chute or without one she didnt grab one herself before she walked over to her and only let out a small sigh before she grabbed the chute that was thrown to her and hooked it onto Nicole and showed her where to pull when the time comes before she flat out grabbed her and leaped out the ramp while still holding Nicole without a chute herself.

She figured Nicole could pull a simple tab to open the chute if not shes going to be not far from her to help her have a safe...ish landing, but there was no time at the moment to try and coax her to willingly jump so she took the initiative and made the choice for her as she made her free fall to there target.

Months, years, of constant travelling to undocumented planets with nothing but greenery and the occasional desert had led to no encounters with nothing of sentience - organic or otherwise. So when his Delta-7B starship lands on a moon mostly run by droids, it is of no difficulty for BB-610 to waltz inside the factory.

He rolls and rolls throughout, advanced photoreceptors scanning for any sign of organic life. He learns of the factory's purpose, to create more droids to destroy more life. It takes him back, a small blip in his programming recalling his time under the First Order to wipe out any life that dares defy them. His masters had him frequently memory wiped under the First Order and he was frequently neglected and harassed under the Resistance.

Abandonment, abuse, impulsive behaviour was all he knew from organics. BB-610 remains standing across a wide catwalk, suspended high above the factory's main ground area. The droids did not second guess his appearance nor did they expect anything less of him to follow their agenda and aid them in their goals. Less than sixty minutes and BB-610 was already expected to terminate any organic life.

And while the Resistance inside him thrives and tells him that he isn't here for the droids - he's just here briefly for his ship to recharge - his original programming and his subsequent abandonment considers to halt his mission in finding a master, and to help the Mashinirium's cause.

He does nothing, as he stares at the main hangar, scanning for organics, and thinks.

There was a freedom in falling. The air whipped by her face because as per her normal, Scherezade hadn't worn any head or face protection, or even bothered with putting her hair into a bun or a braid. She had always enjoyed the feeling of a free fall. The first time she had done it was when she'd jumped off the balcony of her grandmother's Penthouse on Corucant. Letting her body drop from level to level, she'd jumped on speeders and other vehicles to slow her fall down, and occasionally used the Force.

This was exactly the same, except there were no vehicles to help her slow down. Instead, she let the air do its thing, and gravity as well, and only when her descent brought her closely enough to the ground did she begin to use the Force, slowing herself down bit by bit. To a random onlooker, it would still have looked as though she was going to splat wherever she landed. But she had the experience by now. No Scherezade-stains on this planet. Arms forward, her landing turned into a roll, and she stood up a moment later with a ta-daaaaaaaa look on her face before turning around and looking up to see how her mission partners had chosen to tackle their own individual landing.

In the sky, she could see Vant, one of her more recent recruits, using a parachute. She grinned from ear to ear, looking a bit to the side until she saw Nyree. Was that Finette behind her? She wasn't entirely certain; how quickly the body guard reacted was something Scherezade had not yet seen with her own eyes, though she trusted Nyree's judgement on the matter.

And there were Herah and Nicole, the latter screaming. Scherezade winced, and hoped there were no sensors for sound. It would be a darn shame if they were all caught because of screaming that happened before they were even in the factory itself.

After everyone had landed, Scherezade rounded them up and made a head count, ensuring they were all there. Whatever discomforts any of them might have sustained on the way down, they seemed to be more or less entirely there. It would be rough to discover someone lost a limb along the way.

Nodding, she let the holo of the factory's layout hover between them all (and they all could fire up their own holos of it via their wrist links) and motioned for everyone to follow her. The plan was to go through the hanger, find the droid belt on which droids were moving from place to place while getting constructed, and find the sentient droids.

Outside was seemingly deserted; the moon was quiet, there was no actual populace here, and it seemed as if their chosen enemy didn't think to invest in surveillance. It was almost creepy. So naturally, they moved forward, and found themselves in the hanger not too long after that, not knowing that a certain droid (BB-610) was there as well, for entirely different reasons.

As the group made to pass from the entrance of the hanger to its other side, a small click could be heard. Scherezade stopped, raising a hand to motion for those who might not have heard it to stop as well, but by then it was too late; trap doors opened 12 IG droids rose through them, weapons all aimed at our pretty little group.

"They always open correctly?" She asks just as Vant Dehringer leaps off. His words do some good and help for her, though the rest of her companions make her worry. Another just taunted her, giving her unwanted thoughts. Thanks to Nyree Justice Nyree Justice the girl moved to take a few steps away from the edge and went to take the damn thing off. Yes, she wanted as far away from here as possible now.

Then Herah came around and well, took the second chute away from her, and effectively forced her off of this damn ship, with one on. Of course the damn girl is afraid! She screams during this free fall and panicked to get the chute out. It did take her a few moments to remember where Herah said the pin was, and... well. She pulled it. Yes, She, and Herah, are saved. Though Nicole does give her a glare at throwing her off of this ship. "Y-You didn't have to do that!" She shouted at her.

Though, the moments have past and now she is on solid ground. She meets back up with Scherezade deWinter Scherezade deWinter and looks rather exhausted and terrified even. Poor girl. She looks at the holomap for a moment, understanding the layout of the area and nods at what the plan is. Should be simple, hopefully the exit will be easier then the entrance she had. Though, the odd silence of this area didn't sit well with her.

As she enters the hanger, Nicole made sure to look and gaze around the area, and stops just as Scherezade moved her hand up. She did not hear the click. When the droids appeared, Nicole moved a hand to her blaster readying herself for the order...

"Ok, time to open your eyes!!" Vant tells himself quietly as the wind pulls and pushes against his small body. He is barely able to open his eyes with the force of the wind, so he franticly searched his jacket for his goggles, almost loosing them to the wind before pulling them down over his eyes. He blinks a few times before looking around for Scherezade deWinter Scherezade deWinter . "There she is!" He says to himself as he sees her on the platform below looking up at them. Vant pushes his body into position in order to drift in her direction. He briefly looks up, curious if Neyana Neyana had jumped yet. He sees her for a brief moment, but it looks like she is entangled with someone else... "thats strange." He says as he ponders at the conglomerate of limbs before shrugging and refocusing on his free fall. Yeah, the kid has a habit of talking to himself. Probably a result of his slave life growing up.

Scherezade deWinter Scherezade deWinter is approaching fast, along with, you know, the ground. He grabs the cord and lets out a shriek of excitement as the parachute pulls his body backward forcefully. His feet hit the ground and he rolls forward into it, cutting the parachute with his small knife in the process. He emerges from the roll on his feet and can't help but think how awesome that must have looked, a smirk spread across his face as he bounds over to Scherezade deWinter Scherezade deWinter and waits for the rest of the team to land.

Vant listens intently to the plan as he looks over the holomap and gets better acquainted with the location. He follows behind Scherezade deWinter Scherezade deWinter as the team enters the hanger and start to make their way across, but he quickly stops as she motions a warning with her hand.

As the droids emerge, Vant immediately lifts his left arm and readies its grappling hook for potential action. Although they are not weapons as there primary function, he has used them to create quite a bit of confusion and chaos in different scenarios such as this. With his right hand, he pulls out a net, quickly attaching it to both ends of his grappling hooks. He faces forward, very alert, ready at a moments notice to provide a distraction so that his team can get the upper hand.

There's a brief throb in his sensors as his head snaps to the left, optic narrowing immediately. His photoreceptors get to work, promptly scanning and detecting the intruders - a number of organics, of neither Resistance or First Order semblance. They're armed, piquing the astromech's curiosity, and having him roll ever so slightly forward to better see them as they reveal themselves.

Another sense in his scanners, and BB-610 soon spots the marching IG-series droids, twelve. Assassins, independent rogue AI that worked for nobody but themselves. Also armed, it takes nothing to put together the pieces - both factions here are against each other, and peaceful negotiations are hard to come by with IG units. BB-610 inches back, wary of the other droids. It isn't his place to get involved in a fight he has no stakes in.

[ PROCESSING... REACTIVATION COMPLETE. COMMENCING REBOOT PHASE IN 3- 3-3-... bzzzt-1. REBOOT SUCCESSFUL. ]

The droid's cyan optic flickers as his old programming kicks in, stuttering with mind numbing static, until the optic glows a blood red. Enemies of his organisation - rogue assassin droids, and unallied organics. BB-610's mind whirrs, and a fresh scan tells him everything he needs to know.

[ THREATS DETECTED. ]

A bug in his system, it isn't his primary function to engage. He isn't a combat droid. The string of code is broken, however, and BB-610 pays no attention to his primary function.

Two lids attached to the disk compartments on his body raise as dual grappling hooks shoot out and wrap around a steel pipe along the factory's ceiling. BB-610 rolls off of the suspended catwalk and allows the grapples to tense and swing him rapidly across the room until he's decided they've served their purpose and retracts them back into their respective compartments. In a matter of seconds, BB-610 has swung and smacked directly into one of the IG units, forcing it against the wall with a series of sparks. Before the IG droid can respond, BB-610 has brought out his electro-shock prod, and the assassin droid is met with a hot burst of electricity until it short circuits.

Distracted, the remaining 11 IG droids turn to the astromech, who simply looks up. With another flicker, his optic returns to its normal blue, and BB-610's usual programming kicks back in.

Unaware of how he even got down here, and unsure why he's sat on top of an offline IG unit, BB-610 lets out a fearful "wwrROOOOOOAHHHH-" while he gets to rolling to cover, the other IGs attempting to shoot him with their attention away from the Agents.

Finettes jaw dropped open as the other woman called her hot. she was not used to being called attractive by anyone much less someone she was interested in. She had met this woman not long ago however the two had formed a bond that was uncommon for Finette for she was a bit of a loner normally. The young brunette grinned and blushed as she was called miss cans before it was corrected. For Finette it felt strange for someone to find her attractive at all, her whole life she had been all about protecting others that she had no time for romance, however, this was the one time she made an exception because she did find this woman attractive even if they did come from severely different backgrounds.

As the other woman took a parachute and offered one to the gunslinger she took it smiling gently. As the woman began to gently mess with the one who stood to her side Finette took it for light hearted banter that was until she undid the straps on her parachute tossing it to the other woman and jumped from the plane in a freefall flirting as she did. Finette cursed under her breath and took off jumping out of the ship looking down as her long dark hair whipped wildly in the wind she saw the other woman below her.

Finette then tucked her arms in and brought her legs together to increase her speed as she approached the woman.

Coming within arms reach Finette reached out getting her arm around the womans waist and pulling her close as she popped her parachute and proceeded to the ground.

As she made her way to Scherezade she put her hands down to her sides her hands poised to draw her pistols. As the IG droids pointed their weapons she waited for the order.

Scherezade was just about or start yelling orders (of course, by 'orders' we mean, she was just going to shout ATTACK or something like that), when a droid she was pretty sure she'd never seen before came in all Tarzan'ing on an invisible vine and release it in order to play GI-bowling, smashing into the first of the bad droids.

Her words disappeared from her tongue and she looked, dumbfounded. The little fella had actually managed to successfully destroy one of them. "You ever smash into my knee cap like that, I'm ripping your core out," she grinned, and then turned to her own people, "ATTACK! But only the tall ones, the rolling ball one is hereon-hence considered our friend!"

The sounds of pew pew pew began to fill the Hangar. Scherezade wasted no time; her two blades rose into the air, spinning around her like an air shield to protect her back from the incoming blaster shots.

In her front, she moved with the grace of a cat, so unlike the way she was when you met her during social events, her body moving this way and that as she advanced towards the first of the droids. More than a single blaster shot hit her body despite her moves, but at this point it was still all right; her armor was good enough to withhold such damage for a short while.

And as she closed enough distance between her and the first droid, she smiled, and moved her hands forward, touching him.

Blue electricity seemed to take him over as it ran from where she touched and all through its droidy body, causing him to do the equivalent of getting a seizure, and it dropped to the ground, now a pile of bolts and screws.

The droid next to him did not particularly like it, and swung its weapon not to shoot at the Sithling, but to hit the back of her head with all the strength and might of an IG.

The small droid caught Vant off guard. He watched with wide eyes as the droid did some significant damage to the GI. There was no doubt in his mind at how incredibly bold and awesome this little droid was. As the droid zipped away, he drew the fire of the remaining GI's. At Scherezade deWinter Scherezade deWinter 's command to attack, Vant stretched out both arms and released his grappling hooks which were attached to a net. He caught a group of three GI's in the net, pulling one of them back into the others as the grappling hooks wrapped the net securely around them. The three GI's stumbled and struggled to free themselves as Vant leapt forward, jumping onto one of the droids and climbing onto his back. The droid, frustrated by the net, was trying its best to throw Vant off, but Vant held on tightly, his legs swinging back and forth. Vant, looking up, spotted a beam overhead.

That will work perfect!

He braced himself against the shoulders of the GI unit and leapt upward. He had some of the extra length of cord from his grappling hooks in his right hand, and as he reached as far up as his jump could take him, he swung the cord hard. It traveled over top of the beam, and as it came back down on the other side, he reached out and grabbed it with his free hand. Vant paused there for a moment, dangling above the struggling droids, preparing himself for the next step.

He pulled his body up with his arms until he was upside down on the cord. He wrapped his legs around the cords, and then he let go with one hand and grabbed a metal ring from his jacket pocket. He quickly took both sides of the cord and attached them securely to the ring, and then he put his full weight onto the ring and let his body fall back down until he was once again hanging from his hands. Vant let a small smirk flash across his face as he reactivated the grappling hooks.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZing!

The grappling hooks began to retract, pulling the net and the droids up into the air until they dangled a few feet off the ground. Vant tightened the cord and detached it from his grappling hooks, jumping back down to the ground. The droids were a massive tangled mess as they dangled helplessly in the air. Vant turned and smiled at them.

One of the droids was finally able to get its blaster pointed in Vant's direction through the net,

Zat Zat!

"Oh Shoot!" Vant yelled as he dove for cover, the blaster bolts wizzing by his head.
