Backstory

Aether is an ancient Shard from Orax, a silicon-based lifeform naturally attuned to the Force, yet once bound to a crystalline and stationary existence. Desiring to leave stillness behind and shape the galaxy with his own hands, he was embedded within a custom droid body so he might travel, learn, and act.

After long ages of wandering, that journey came to a violent halt in a brutal skirmish that left his body broken and abandoned upon a desolate world. During the battle, a void stone lodged deep within his chassis, pinning him beneath an oppressive field. He remained conscious, yet smothered… aware, yet unable to reach beyond that prison. Centuries passed with Aether straining against the silence, a mind trapped inside a shell that could neither answer nor move.

In time, Braze discovered what seemed to be a lifeless droid frame in a remote junk shop. Drawn by something he could not fully name, he purchased it and began repairs. In doing so, he unknowingly broke the long silence and released Aether from his buried torment.
