Meant to replace the HA-2 Pike, and be a more open for sale and use, the HA-3 Hutthound is a versatile dropship, capable of taking various roles when needed. Named by test pilots that said they were "Tough and ugly. Just like a Hutt," the Hutthound is a highly capable craft with strong defenses. It is able to clear its own landing zones with twin particle cannons and gatling lasers. Hutthounds are also adaptable, with modules to handle various situation. On the downside, these craft are big, and limit how many can be bought on carriers, along with being more sluggish. The latching system is also a weak point, and while it can do many jobs outside of being an assault dropship, it doesn't mean it's better at doing them than dedicated craft.
