Description:
the Vesparum Interceptor is the first line of interceptors developed by Inquisition industry's. The interceptor was developed with mainly speed and maneuverability in mind as it is crucial for these to get behind their target fast and dispose of them before moving to the next. Although this comes at a drawback of having to cut the idea of hyperspace abilities off the ship to ensure this. Only the central part of the body of the ship is made of quadranium steel to protect the pilots from potentially been killed so easily in battle. The wings of the ship on the other hand are made of durasteel to keep it's weight down. Protecting the ship is a standard shield able of taking a few hits before having to become cautious. The shield componens are located under the ship so it is able to be swapped of a new one in the mids of battle when the ship needs to reload it's missiles upon the transport it had came from. To aid it's fast speed the ship has a built in targeting computer that is linked in to a holographic projector to give to pilot a run course to it's intended target. This can not be used on the other hand if there is no copilot to direct the pilot to a new target as that aspect has to be done manually.

This comes out to the equivalent of 10 laser cannons and 2 missile launchers.

Typical general purpose superior fighters typically have 4 laser cannons and 2 missile launchers. (Speed 2-3; Maneuverability: 2-3)

Typical interceptors typically have 2 laser cannons and 2 missile launchers (Speed: 1-2; Maneuverability: 1-2).

It's possible to carry more weapons than those vanilla counterparts, but flight performance suffers (as with gunships and bombers), or production is greatly lowered with a development thread (elite fighters typically have speeds of 1-2 with 6 guns and 2 warhead launchers).

What direction would you like to head with this? High performance and fewer weapons? Or more weapons with lower flight performance?
