STRENGTHS
  • Exotic Matter: The ethereal nature of the metal makes it near weightless despite being and looking dense within the pocket dimension of dream. In realspace it can be grasped and there is a steady supply able to be used by Krass. When experimenting with the extent the design that has been refitted.
  • Choushin Class Uneti: The heart of the ship and a gift from the commonwealth for the jedi in their forging. Krass has one of the younger generation trees installed allowing the jedi to contact without communications other choushin class ships.
  • Seven Points: Throughout the ship, the amnioid fluid flows like a bloodstream throughout it which is duel edged. It it like a circulatory system that keeps the techno-organic systems of the ship flowing and feeds into the seedlings that are being grown for children ships. It shares a mitochondrial cell connecting the ships to the mother and are organelles that will take in nutrients then break them down and create energy rich molecules for the ship. The seven main points are points that can be accessed to connects with the ship so it is always running smoothly.
  • Bonding: The trees are finicky and require a jedi to bond with them locking out others. The duel nature of the starfighters sees them using a dwarfed tree intentionally small and within the control systems. The pilot bonds with it as the ship interior is grown.
  • Duel structure: Designed two fold, the first is the exterior exoskeleton that gives the appearance of a standard starfighter. The interior itself usually measuring in the module of the ship itself is techno-organic with the tree. Encased in the framework and superstructure of the exoskeleton for protection.
  • Advanced Systems: Designed with several notable systems installed on the shipsto improve their capabilities and turn the jedi into a needed operational fighter.
    • Saotome Advanced Tracking System: Designed to give hyperspace tracking capabilities to the ships systems.
    • Advanced Whammy Drive: Whammy Drives create an interdicition pulse that can trip the safeties of ships hyperdrives stalling them. They can't keep a fleet from jumping but for a moment those within range of the pulse can be stalled.
    • Saotome Car'das: Designed for micro jumps with high levels of precision and capabilities.
    • Cater Phalanx: Designed to strengthen the shielding of a squadron. A small team can bunch together and project a shield over themselves for additional protection.
    • Entanglement Biot: Grown within the vessel to allow communication across vast distances.
    • Self Repairing: Designed to repair and maintain itself as it scouts new hyperspaace routes and establishing extragalactic colonies.
    • Advanced Hyperdrive: Designed with an experimental hyperdrive that is meant to give them some of the fastest flight times across all of the galaxy.
    • Advanced Fabricator Mk.VII: Advaned fabrication to improve the designs of the ship.
    • Saotome Rhion: For the more limited production ships, the Rhion can upgrade and repair a ship by grabbing materials and breaking them down.
WEAKNESSES
  • Agena: Designed with the Agena to radiate the lightside of the force so that the academy is a beacon of the lightside to any and all force users.
  • Neural Net: THe neurral net of the academy allows connecting and automating a number of systemsbut for a skilled hacker who can get itno the biocomputers can hack it and cause havoc.
  • Protective Qualities: Largely non protective in qualities as it doesn't fully adhere to the rules of physics. The metal looks dense and like it would be highly protective but it isn't.
  • Exotic Particles: Largely unknown and not seen in the galaxy before. It isn't invincible nor is it really strong but it reacts violently near dark and anti-matter which can disrupt and destroy it or even cause it to rupture and disintegrate.
  • Sleg: A powerful energy enhancer, the sleg absorbs and channels the excessive heat generated by the chassis of the speeder. Making them maintain a stronger level of power but also increases the chances that they could explode from the heat.
  • Hive Minded: A benefit in some ways allowing the ships to heal each others internal systems itself but it also means that they share pain. A strange effect is choushin ships can refuse to attack each other.
  • Organic: With the amnioid a skilled force user is able to properly stun and stop the functions in their tracks. As Satele Shan showed the fluid produced by the circuits can be manipulated and used to calm or disable the bodies for a time as long as there is concentration and knowledge of the fluid. Like a blood flow in the body it can be constricted and have build up of waste or gunk that damages the ship like a heart attack or even stroke.
  • Shared Pain: A danger and something felt from the onset and creation of them. The choushin share pain which can affect all of the ships from starfighters to capital ships.
  • Orissa: Designed with the Orissa that is a solid plate covered in drop pods reducing underside defenses and cannon.
DESCRIPTION
Designed and constructed as the first staff of a larger plan. The Seeder ships explore the galaxy on a self automated search for systems and planets. Going and releasing cartographer probes to map the area. The probes remaining to relay in real time on low power setting to create a comprehensive galaxy map and beyond.

THe seeder ships main focus is on self sustaining itself by scanning worlds for resources to use in its own conversion of materials. Constructing droids, parts and probes to map across the galaxy as it and all of its companions spread out through he main galaxy and eventually to the companions relaying the information for hyperspace mappers.

In terms of what it has... there isn't much, the armor and shielding of the ship is there but there are no weapons or hanger. Instead allowing a docking tube that the main ship the Saratai can connect to them with a port to download the probe data and navigational records. Self constructing foundries to create colonization footholds can also be released.

On the terms of colonization the ship is made to create defense worlds as well as scout natural resources as well as sustainable planets. Making sure they are mapped as human standard for sustainability that can be relayed back to the main astrometrics labs within the Sasori research labs as well as the logistical suites for ships. Aiding their piloting and getting through lanes.

The decades since the seeder ships have been launched have been highly beneficial. Charting hyperspace routes for Sasori across the universe from companion galaxy to companion galaxy. Setting up colonies and staying in constant communication with the Saratai vessel which makes the automated journey whihc in turn communicated with Sasori and the jedi.

All right, let's see what we've got here.

  • The ship is mass-produced, but the Joshu is minor. Gotta drop the ship to minor, or remove the Joshu.
  • How many droids of each type are carried? Ballpark numbers are acceptable.
  • As discussed in the Hauler sub, the Hauler will need a squadron count. You'll have to count droid ships as ships and give me a number for how many squadrons of them are on this ship.
  • You're about 3 faster than average on speed/maneuver, and this isn't listed in Strengths. Unarmed gets you some leeway, but I don't really see the point in having a fast factory ship. This sucker's never going to be unescorted anyway. At minimum, you'll need to bump the speed/maneuver up somewhat.
  • I feel like you're probably working from some precedents, and I know there've been some factory ships approved. The closest I know of are the Lwhekk Aleph (600m, much less comprehensive and ambitious than this, minor production, no dev) and the Dark Net Seedship (3000m, comparable functionality and ambition, only four ever made, 36 posts of dev). Do any other precedents come to mind before we start talking production level/dev options?

got the edits done and added some speed to it

for other ships that had been approved I want to say Ayden made a factory ship for the protectorate long ago and I believe Subach made one but I can't remember names and they might of just been repair ships. They both made and saw value in nearly all types of ships and not far of a stretch.

OK, we've got a squared-away design here, then. Now let's talk turkey.

This is a really, really intensely ambitious factory ship, and I like it a lot. The closest equivalent I could find was semi-unique, with 35+ posts of dev. You've got all kinds of von Neumann machine/Star Forge vibes going on. You can make your own fuel, parts, weapons, and droids indefinitely. So here's the ask.

10 posts of dev will get you Limited, 20 will get you Minor, and 30 will get you Mass. Or I could stamp this at Semi-Unique.

Alternately, you can remove any two of: (Chemical Churner, Self-Constructing Armament Factory, Self-Regulating Droidmaker) and I'll stamp it right now.

I'm open to negotiation on this. There aren't a lot of precedents here. If you put scale limitations on each of those things, the dev requirement could go lower.

Sound fair?

ehh I want to try and keep this as close to mass production as possible. The purpose is to go ahead, set up checkpoints for the real unique production ship. These are the advanced scouts making and deploying the markers on the maps for new routes.

If we can negotiate it down would be great but I am never opposed to some work. The main ship is just waiting for its thread to conclude

The issue right now is whether this is a seedship or an infinite fuel/weapon/droid factory. Find a way to put some clear limits on those capabilities, and we can see about bumping down the dev.

I'd like to see some clear definitions for the scope of what it can produce. Can it make enough fuel for itself and its small craft and droids, or can it make much more than that? Can it make enough weapons to counter attrition for its droids or make enough for colonies or make enough for armies? Can it make enough droids to replace its losses or can it make armies?

Also, your dimensions don't fit the picture. Intentional?

As for the image ehhh a little, I liked the look as it didn't look sleek and like a warship. More industrial or like something you'd see off to the side. Also the dimensions of it are huge going by its size whihc is just scary.

With those limits, she's all yours. I can't really count the dev as anything serious -- it's unfinished, of minimal length, and boasts a bunch of one-sentence posts -- but the limits are solid and I'm comfortable stamping this.
