- Designed as a dedicated system that uses a strong super computer able to be set onto starfighters and dreadnaughts as needed. it cannot completely track in hyperspace but uses data, centuries of star charts, combat reports, hyperspace routes, ship models, scans of the ship in question for fuel, estimates of fuel use and information from specs to predict and more of less guess where it will come out.
- While it is incredibly smart and able to handle, process and work with vast quantities of information the computer is still a computer. It requires almost hourly updates about the state of the galaxy and is only able to be used for a single purpose taking up space within the ship. It can also be tricked by quickly making several jumps in different directions by outrunning the computer. it can't track or use personality or thoughts so being more and more unpredictable can negate its probability generation.
- Aftermarket: The scanners and information work on specs from design, adding after market parts can well make the data being processed false. A faster hyperdrive, faster engines, upgrades that take it further off spec. Or even it being made bulkier, heavier and slower can really throw the predictions and information askew
Designed to be an advanced Sastome system for their ships, the computer system is a dedicated super computer. Set to do only one thing and that is track and predict where ships are going through hyperspace by using algorithms and star maps as well as tracking data. Centuries of information =, ship specs, hyperspace routes all of it is used to create trillions of variables and then they are eliminated in rapid succession leaving only a handful and the most likely course. INformation about current governmental standings are factored in, boarders, anything the computer can use that would factor itno determining the route. The droid brain itself is kept in a strong inth metal casing, The dedicated droid brain communicating with the ships sensors and having as much informationn as it can get to properly work but it is limited by requiring the information. If the ship has been changed or is some form of ugly/custom design... the computer can't calculate with as high of its accuracy.
