Sala'dine

Admiral of the Ghost Fleet
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create an advanced communications system from Sasori
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Primary Source:
    Ghostwave
  • Shadowfeed
  • Shadowcast

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Saotome Foundry
  • Affiliation: Closed-Market
  • Model: Advanced Comunication
  • Modularity: Able to be scaled for ships, facilities and vehicles or personal use

  • Production: Mass-Produced
  • Material:
    Components
  • Droid Brain

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Highly Protected Communications: Designed using the old shadowcast/net style. With droid brains within the ship working to encrypt and decrypt the communications and a ghostwave to attach them to tertiary sensor bursts. Vital information is able to be disguised while inane communications are transmitted.
Strengths:
  • Overly Engineered: Designed to act as a covert communications system within a ship allow communication lines to be secured. Standard communications can still go and provide random information while the Saotome Shadow system sends the real communications between the ships in IFF pings and junk communications between the systems.
Weaknesses:
  • Effectively Locked in: Decrypting and getting the communications does require a counterpart system that can decrypt the messages. This makes its use with other ships almost impossible as they will not have the technology to decipher codes bursts.
DESCRIPTION
Designed by Saotome based off of the old shadowcast system. A means to communicate covertly. In the terms of a ship based system it allows Sasori's vessels to coordinate and communicate while not giving information from their standard communication systems. The protected layer of it transmits out of its IFF system and is unable to be connected to systems that aren't of a similar design. It won't downgrade itself as a program. That limits its ability to work with other ships that don't use Saotome components and communications systems.
