Junction Darkest Jungle - SO/EOTL Junction of Felucia and Manpha

Something went bang, and Zachariah spun on his heels just to see the smoking wreck of what used to be a tie-fighter. He shook his head in disappointment, thinking back to the conversation he had engaged in with Darth Strosius on Geonosis. It appeared that most Sith were barbaric in some way, and Malum's apprentice was just an example of that.

"I must say, was that truly necessary?"
"He is not wrong, Dekaltis," He said splitting his gaze between them both, "Fortunately, it would seem that will come in use as more than a prop," He pointed towards the Acklay, "A trial we shall say, a test, Dekaltis, you wanted as you put it... a 'bad guy', well I do believe a monster will do nicely. Whoever brings me its head I will teach how to summon Darkshears, a most worthy prize, no?" He offered them a grin, clapping Zachariah on the shoulder as he finally began to crest the hill, his Guard taking it as permission to continue along with him.

"Hm?" The girl asked, looking at the blaster cannon as she pointed it away from the walker. Necessary? What was necessary in this world? Nothing! Carpe Diem! The world was only necessary if you made it! She knew this, deep in her heart. Her electronic heart.

A monster. That was a prize. She grinned, rushing forward without another word. Carpe Diem! Chat seemed to enjoy the show as Dekaltis brandished her saber, while the blaster cannon off the starfighter she had casually ripped apart trailed behind her. She wasn't sure why her master was indulging talking to the bad guys. Slaughter them! Slaughter them all! Why talk? That was confusing. No matter. The acklay would be slain. She rushed after it, her lightsaber twirling mid-air before she threw it with a dazzling display!

"COM'ERE LITTLE MOTHERFARKER! MOMMA NEEDS A NEW PAIR OF SHEARS!" She hollared, her voice echoing through the jungle.

Astra pondered over what was more unbearable: the relentless heat or the persistent insects. With a weary sigh, she mused, "How I long for the chill of ice and snow once more." As she spoke, she lifted a jewel-encrusted, regal cup to her lips, taking a sip of the liquid within.

Seated within a makeshift pavilion arranged by her accompanying troops, Astra savored the last drop of her tea before setting the cup down on the table. She then picked up a datapad connected to monitor her troops' movements.

Shifting her focus from the datapad to the sprawling forest beyond, Astra made a simple hand gesture, signaling her escorts to rejoin the rest of their cohort.

Ylvaris crept closer to Darth Malum of House Marr Darth Malum of House Marr 's position, blending in and out of the shadows produced by the leaves, his movement like the wind moving branches. Most of the commotion in his vicinity was originating from his cousin's coordinates, multiple vital signs closely grouped together - fellow peers and protective measures surrounding his own blood. As it should be.

He had no real understanding of what was transpiring, no prior knowledge of who Malum was speaking to, but Ylvaris could feel it in the air - the Force that bound them as kin whispering vague curiosities into the assassin's ear. While he was here to operate as one with the rest of the Tsis'Kaar, Ylvaris couldn't help but eavesdrop on his own accord.

For what was it to protect the Sith if he didn't know exactly what was going on? If he didn't know the smallest crumb of information that could evolve into a cancer? This was clinical, a necessary procedure to reduce risk. As long as Ylvaris drew air into his lungs, he would spend those waking moments snuffing out any would-be undesirables.

The loud one was somewhat amusing to observe, yet the potential they wielded was quite impressive. Something to be careful of down the road.

Through the Force, the Tsis'Kaar assassin whispered to his fellow Sith: "...This is becoming interesting... I shall stand idle for now."

His form shifted slowly, tensing as he produced two lightsaber hilts in either hand, not activating them just yet. Tensions were surely rising elsewhere, and soon they would engulf the very ground, on which they all stood.

Right now the main focus was to make sure no harm came to Malum, or those close to him.

Beskar'gam, body, and equipment effortlessly hoisted like another bench press - Kebii had to admit with widened eyes that the Firrerreo hoisted and flung her away. Additional surprise came when the ring sparked genuine Force Lightning! She narrowly dodged, one connection with the armor and she'd be fried!

No more playing around, time to unlock the fire-spear and shoot. It was an unwieldy, but powerful weapon, and bare pectorals were no match for plasma.

Most of the time.

Bright molten eyes stared out from the darkened ceraglass viewport, seeing farther than any artificial instrument. There were ripples in the fabric of the Force, the presence of gathered vitae drawing His gaze towards the quickly assembling enemy formation. He saw them before any of His ships scanners even registered them, even though they were virtually indistinguishable from the starry backdrop bordering the fungal planet below. Already some of His own fighters were breaking off to create a defensive screen around the transports, the larger vessels tightening their formation for greater overlapping fire.

The other formation was substantially larger than His own, but that did not matter. He flexed His gloved fingers as they took hold of the flight columns, the faintest pressure sending His starfighter hurtling forward along the void. Initially, He angled His fighter towards the inbound fleet, but found that His own hands had begun to turn His ship away from it; towards the racing columns of troop transports and carryalls. It was then, no more than a handful of heartbeats later, that several transports burst into wreckage and flame.

His scanners had not picked them up, for they were cloaked against Him. His eyes could not perceive them, for they bent light in a manner that made them all but imperceptible, so He did not trust His eyes; they deceived Him. The gentlest adjustment wove Him in and out of the transport column, His ship far faster and maneuverable than any other in the Sith fleet present. He listened to the Force, let the Dark Side flow through Him. Cocking His head to one side, He listened to something beyond the scope of hearing.

Then His hands were in motion.

Laserfire streaked out from the Nameless Fear's many cannons.

A plume of flame erupted several meters away, one of the cloaked ships catching a full volley right as it was transitioning out of stealth. What remained of the downed craft floated on, flames billowing out from the fuselage. Carnifex sped His fighter towards the wreckage, the Force reaching out and parting the doomed craft and sending both ends spiraling out into the void. The Dark Lord cut through the gap on a moment after it had appeared, brief spouts of flame clinging to His hull before they puttered out in the vacuum.

He closed His eyes, listening to the Force.

And His hands began to move again.

Even the master of masking his emotions, keeping his face entirely under his control, he could not help but raise his eyebrow at the story she told him, at her complete willingness to speak so openly regarding all this, in front of all her men, who still surrounded them. Indeed, she had not overtly said out loud what exactly he knew to be the case... though admittedly, he had not known for a certainty either, if she had responded that she was a Dark Jedi, or some other blend of Darksider, he might have been forced to accept it, having no way to deny it.

Yet, she had not said that, indeed in saying nothing out loud, she seemingly... wanted to confirm to him the truth of his mental accusation. It was a question indeed, what was a Sith doing serving an Imperial remnant? A traitor? Or something else? As she began to march closer to him, he gave no visible reaction.

His lips quirked as he heard a voice in his mind, trying to spot him in his periphery without luck, yet tracing where the words had come from, and responding in kind, "Keep an eye on Zachariah and Dekaltis if you would, I shall call upon you if needed, cuz." Where Trayze might have grown quickly to become among his favourite cousins, due in large part to his willingness to entertain his rather... ambitious ideas, and his rather... more simple disposition.

It was always Ylvaris that he could go to for polite company, one older than him, perhaps an older brother in the sense Trayze could not be, a decade older, one that was as indulgent with him, as educational. It was in no small part that Ylvaris had led him on the part of charming charismatics. He who had followed him into the Tsis'Kaar, or had perhaps been a part of it longer, he had not truly asked, though had been surprised, and altogether thankful when he had found out about his older cousin's presence in the organisation his Mistress led.

And now... that he led.

There was a deep thankfulness for all that Ylvaris had done... if he had not stayed loyal after Fiviune... he did not know what he would have done.

Of course, so lost in his thoughts regarding his cousin, he almost missed the rest of Lady Drey's words.

And yet, when he heard them.

He could not be entirely sure if he heard them correctly.

He blinked, as his bottom jaw slightly released from the top.

The carefully made mask cracked.

As surprise was his word.

His eyes snapped towards the droid, to be careful was still his mode, this was all too convenient.

Yet... some part of him could not help but consider the possibilities.

"And... why exactly do you want to do that?" He swallowed his confused emotions, reorientating himself, suddenly more distrustful of this meeting than he had been initially, what was this? Yet, if an opportunity was here before him.

He needed to grasp it close with both hands.

"Turn the droid off." His mind transmitted to hers, this offer was too odd, too strange, to have so many witnesses, especially not a droid who no doubt was recording this all, "Can your men be trusted?" He had to imagine so, she had confessed to treason after all, and they had not turned to fire.

Either they were loyal to her.

Or this was a ruse.

It was neither.

Alicia watched as the surprised dawned on Malum's face, and it was at that precise moment that she knew that had him. Through subtleness and her own intelligence apparatus Alicia knew that the man was cunning, and as someone with similarities, she knew what a cunning mind could come up with. As Staff Director of the New Imperial Security Bureau Alicia was the head of the entire Empire of the Lost's intelligence operations. Indeed, it had been under her directive that the DSDT Program had been initiated. Being the head of the Tsis'Kaar- the equivalent of the Sith's NISB- Malum could draw upon the opportunity that would come if Alicia were to join his organisation. The potential was enormous, and the possibilities limitless.

But as realisation dawned upon her opposites face Alicia knew that with cunning also came risk. In her dealings in the underworld, where criminals operated a number of different ventures, Alicia had met those who were clearly not as smart as her, but were just as cunning and dangerous. Was Malum similar to them? Of course, being trained in the ways of the dark side, Malum was not comparable to a mere gangster, or the smugglers she dealt with on Kessel. But would his cunning lead him to catastrophe, or would he be able to navigate the line that all Sith walked, where they risked and even invited destruction into their lives in the pursuit of power?

Averting her gaze from Malum to look over her shoulder to Arsix Alicia said: "Return to my ship. Upload that to my mainframe."

A soft, eerie bleep signifying an affirmative echoed from the droid. So lonely, and lost now. Whatever was left of the Jedi he had served in the waning days of the Old Republic was long gone. Yet, he still remained loyal to a friend who now traversed the dangerous path of the dark side. In the cacophony of jungle brush the astromech disappeared en route to the Initium nearby.

Turning back around to Malum Alicia heard his thoughts within her mind. A neat trick. He had been well trained. Slipping her hand out of her pocket Alicia produced a cylinder device. The red light was active signifying that it was on. "You can speak freely, Malum," Alicia said softly as she pocketed the jammer. "We are Sith. There is no room, no world, no star system, or sector that is not open too us. Whether they be the hallways of a Jedi Temple to the inner council chambers of Empires to convocations on Carlac heralding the beginning of the end of the Galactic Alliance and into rooms where the rich, and powerful politick amid deals and arrangements for commerce everything is open to the followers of the dark side."

"Look at them Malum."

Alicia turned to stand side-by-side with the Tsis'Kaar leader as they watched the scene before them. Red and green lights danced in the air as the battle was waged. Stormtroopers patrolled the area they stood in. Probe droids filtered in and out of the jungle on the look out for trespassers. Although not physically visible there was a small encampment nearby that were monitoring communications. Somewhere on the planet Nimian Totan Nimian Totan diverted traffic from the area. All well planned, and executed.

"All their instruments of war pale in comparison to the power of the Force," Alicia snarled, her voice filled with disgust. "I will show you the power of the dark side. The things that we can accomplish together in the Tsis'Kaar. Gather your entourage here and I will show you something. A weapon that we will use to destroy our enemy!"

Sycamore’s own steps followed Annika’s pace as she stepped to the side, the sights of her blaster still firmly trained on him, and fully expected to remain on him even as he moved. So it was that his own steps were unhurried. Almost lazy as his feet navigated the uneven terrain underfoot, the only care taken in each to avoid being snagged by the shrubbery and to send him tumbling. Being at blasterpoint was enough of a disadvantage for him, to be sprawled out on the ground with a blaster aimed at him was not a situation he’d savor.

Even from such aenchanting stranger.

For a stranger she still was, even with her name in his possession and the suspicion of her own allegiance growing in his mind. She was, obviously, no Jedi. Nor did he believe that she belonged to the Empire. The Imperial Security Bureau was known to plant operatives deep onto enemy, or in this case, potentially hostile planets. But this did not seem to be the case…

For she was Force sensitive. Of that he was certain. If the sight of the lightsaber in her possession was not enough evidence it was the feeling of an unfamiliar force touching upon his own mind. It was subtle, nurturing what was already there. Tugging at the strings of existing thoughts as it sought to weave them into a tapestry of its own design. Sycamore barely had time to snip those threads as they were weaved, barely noticing them before it was nearly too late. Just barely.

She was crafty.

That only renewed the smirk on his lips, as he took in another breath of the jungle air. Air, unbeknownst to him, carried the scent of those pheromones. Who could blame him? One sweet scent in the jungle could hardly be distinguished from another, especially with an untrained nose.

Sycamore only became all the more amiable, his pace unchanged but the tightness that lingered on the edge of his words softening. “Ahhhh, so you are here for the herbs as well. What a shame. That puts us at an impasse.” He began, that smirk threatening to sink into a sad smile. “What a better galaxy we would have if things could be settled as you say. Half and half. Or, better yet, I’d wager the entire harvest on a hand of Sabacc. But, alas, I left my deck on the Destroyer I rode over on.”

That was a lie. Sycamore didn’t even own a Sabacc deck. But such a thing was mentally added to his shopping list.

“Truth be told, I’d split it with you half and half. I’d even go sixty-forty, for the simple fact you choose words over settling things with a blade first. Even if you negotiate at the end of a blaster.” The amusement never left his tone, not even as he nodded at the weapon in her hand. “But whatever we agreed upon would be reneged on by those we serve. They want it all. Every plant. Every Felucian. Every handful of soil on this planet. They’ll settle for nothing less.”

Sycamore planted his feet now, his hand still not having claimed the lightsaber on his belt. But there it lingered. Close.
“You now have a choice. You can shoot me, and I will defend myself. You can turn the way you came and go. Or you can seek to go through me. But I will not let you pass. I cannot. Make the wise choice. Before the iron fist of the Empire behind me comes to you. You will find no mercy from it.”

"I believe I've heard enough." Ylvaris would speak through the Force, obvious and loud enough throughout the area for anyone to hear plainly. A soft malice laced his words. "Why would anyone wish to have you around? Some lowly would-be prancing around as an Imperial, hah. It's delusional enough to make me laugh."

Slowly fading into view for all to see, Ylvaris sat atop a tree branch above his cousin and the others, staring down directly at Alicia Drey Alicia Drey . His frame straightened as he stood upright, balancing himself in place, making it quite obvious that he was armed. A void filled both eye sockets of his helmet, shadows swirling within that didn't yield to even direct sunlight.

A sunless man, dedicated to the embrace of nothingness and the consumption of all things opposing the Dark Side of the Force - all things impeding his personal goals and plans. If Malum were to come under a foul influence, should he lose his cousin, it would surely spell the end of his restraint. There would be no end until he decided it, there would be no rest until his thirst is quenched.

For the Sith, for his own family, he would make the galaxy a nightmare. He would shatter dreams to maintain his own.

"So easily do shed your skin, only to wear another. I'm somewhat curious to know who you are, but I think I've decided what kind of person you are."

Ylvaris let out a chuckle, distorted by his helmet. "Mind yourself and who you think you speak to, girl."

"Handshake procedure completed Captain, allied fleet data is coming in now." The communications Lieutenant said as data started streaming in with more specifics about the Empire's fleet in the local battlespace just as distant laser fire lit up the skies in an area over the planet.

Isabelle watched the data spooling in, other ships reported movements, anticipated intercept points, and predicted paths of enemies, drinking all of it in she started looking for an optimal location to move her ship into the line. An independent Star Destroyer wasn't actually all that useful and if isolated is really a fairly easy target despite its shielding and armaments. After reviewing the fleet formations and making it known through the tac-net that she had Eradicator Bombers available for tasking on ground targets she had her comms officer open up a channel to the Lilaste Order fleet.

"Commander Laphisto this is Captain Zythor of the Star Destroyer Gauntlet, requesting permission to enter formation with you on your Edaar-class's port side."

With his warships pushing forwards, the Shield popper Frigates rushed forwards ahead of the Destroyers, firing their LO-80H Ion Cannons, the ion bolts crashing into the shields of the Thanaton corvettes, quickly resolving shields and giving the Destroyers ample time to unload their full salvos directly against the unprotected hull. When the Ion cannons began to fire, a significant decrease in the Shield poppers speed and maneuverability would be detected. The ships let themselves coast and drift in the blackness of space, waiting for the maneuvering thrusters to re-energize before letting themselves turn and attack their next target.

The Corvettes moved in between the destroyers, targeting ships that the destroyers may have missed in their first pass of attack. The interceptors remained with the mix of ships ready to break off and share away any fighters or bombers that might try and engage the orders attacking run. And that was far from the only wave of defense. On the Drak'iv variants and the corvettes, the 300 LO-21H anti-fighter weapons stood as a testament to any starfighter pilot that dared to get too close, especially with the tight 100-200 meter distance each ship had within one another as they glided through the black backdrop of space.

laphisto was standing at the holo table, a hand gripping his chin, when he heard the message from his communications officer "Sir we have an imperial ship trying to make contact. Shall I put them through?" he looked over and gave a slight nod motioning to the table " yes put them on " he waited till the visage of Isabelle Zythor Isabelle Zythor flickered to life on his display and he listened to her words . a closed hand smacking on his armor as he dipped in a small bow " greetings captain. feel free to pull up alongside my flagship. Objective: 2 - Crimson Skies
Fleet Roster: 13th and 27th Heavy Assault Lines, INS Requiem (detailed in Bio)
Theme: HERE

Crimson-Skies.png

The fleet was soon assembled, and it was a glorious sight. Truly, a culmination of what the Empire has been working towards since we have decided to rise to the level akin to the great powers of the galaxy. Since we were able to grow beyond just the Tion Sector, the Imperial military has been continuously growing and developing. The Sith made for a good test of the measure produced thus far.

As soon as the Imperial fleets arrived in the system, the advance began. "13th and 27th Heavy Assault Lines, this is Requiem. Increase speed to keep pace with reinforcements." I would then stand in front of my commanding seat. "Comms, patch me through to the Emperor's command ship, as well as provide open frequency for the newly arrived Imperial fleets."
"Patching you through, Supreme Commander."
Soon, holo footage of the Emperor's display and the others that opened the signal soon showed in front of me. "My Lord and allied Commanders,", I then saluted, "My lines of ships are ready to form a vanguard on the flank. Already, they are organized in defensive formation, and would then be poised to strike on the Sith's side accordingly. Scans have shown this is a Malsheem fleet. We should obtain an understanding of where Darth Carnifex is in all this, if he is here at all.", I would look to the Emperor's projection and bow my upper-body slightly, "Do I have clearance to advance as vanguard, my Lord?"

The habits of a soldier die hard, even in a position of high command like a Moff. Ensuring I perform my actions with permission of my superiors still was a way of thinking that I would have to temper more. I was a superior officer now, with the Emperor being the only one above me. All the while, my ships continued as they were, at pace with the main contingent of ships and sitting along the side of the entry point Imperial forces had at the system.

The half-zeltron grinned at the response, it sounded like the guy might actually be willing to negotiate for the herbs, a strange situation indeed. Annika had played sabbac a few times, she wasn't bad at it when you factored in her pheremones and her mental abilities, playing against another force user night be another matter though.

She muttered to herself as he continued. "So I guess that leaves potentially offending your empire, a guy I've never heard of who might be chill? Or offending the likes of Darth Empyrean Darth Empyrean and Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex who I've actually heard of and definitely aren't?" she let out a slight laugh and raised an eyebrow, "I don't suppose I can tempt you to join the sith?" This was it then she guessed.

She pulled the trigger on her heartstriker and sent a three shot burst at her opponent which quickly trying to reposition for the attack that would come back in reply if her first volley did not put the man down. As she moved she opened herself to the force to try and predict the next move of her opponent as her masters had taught her.

In space no one can hear how BORING it is to sit there while everyone else is having ALL the fun. The whirling and whooshing of the ship she was aboard flipping and twirling through the void as it's pilot masterfully weaved in and out of blaster fire and exciting dog-fighting as Domina sat there in the co-pilots seat…a deep seeded frown strewn across her toothy face as all four of her arms remained folded across her chest as if Domina were some sort of birthday girl who had gotten a puppy instead of a pony.

"This is like, totally SUPER lame dad!" She complained as Carnifex took out a fighter, only further adding to his Starborn daughters dread and agony as she practically leaned so far back into the co-pilots seat that she forced it to lean all the way back. "When you invited this one to 'wreak havoc among our enemies' Dima was expecting…somethin with a bit more~" She tried to gesture with her arms what she meant. "Pizzazz ya know?! And Dima don't even know what that MEANS! But Dima KNOWS it's not THIS!" She blurted out as Carnifex proceeded to drift and angle the ship through the space debris. Dima not even registering for a moment just how difficult is was to pilot in a warzone as her boredom had gotten the better of her at the moment.

"When does Dima get to do some damage it's not fair to keep your sweet, precious daughter cooped up in this box~" She argued, glancing at her father as his gaze remained intensely focused on his current task. Only making her pout deeper as her massive tail rattled in agitation. "Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad! Don't you dare ignore your Prime this one demands blood, stains her teeth and claws. It's INHUMANE keeping Dima stuck up here!" She barked, glaring around the control consoles numerous buttons, blinking dials, levers and switches and feeling fiber in her bones want to begin meddling with the dash.

She kept her lower arms firmly pressed into her lap and kept the upper pair distracted to prevent herself from doing anything like crashing the ship…again.

"Like can we at least up the mood? It's all dark and moody in here, what did someone DIE and we are paying respects?" She asked, looking over to the radio which had been silent since they had boarded the fighter. Likely so Carnifex could focus, but while he was focused Domina had become incredibly bored and restless.

It was his fault of course.

While Carnifex was distracted Dima bit her lip as her central most eye remained laser focused on the radio while her other four eyes watched him closely.

And then….sloooooooooowy the hand on her lap reached out towards the dash and with a flick of one of her claws hit the switch to activate the device.

Suddenly, the cockpit was assaulted with blaring speakers and the sweet riffs of a guitar erupting throughout the ship at an…almost overbearing volume.

"Ohhhhhhh yeah! Dima don't know what they are saying but it sounds metal as fuck~" She chittered, finding herself a little more amused now as the blaring music filled the air amidst Carnifex's incredibly dangerous dogfighting. Hymning along to the lyrics she did not know nor understand given the artist spoke an alien language Domina herself did not recognize as she could only understand Basic and Mando'a. And as she impishly tapped along the arms of her seat as her father suddenly hit a lever and activated the throttle, sending the ship ZOOMING forward all of a sudden and causing Domina to clutch the arm rest. "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" She howled devilishly along with the music as it hit a crescendo.

Well, maybe this wasn't all bad. At least she got to hang out with dear ol 'dad', even though so many months ago she had just considered him another godling to be dominated. They had reached a more agreeable relationship that was…unusual compared to most of his other children. After all, his other offspring weren't horrors spawned from the stars~

Sycamore only beamed away at the grin he'd won from the Sith, and certain a Sith she was now at the last words that left her lips. Ahhh, how that cold certainty of an inconvenient truth ought to bring down the mood of things. For she was, by her own admission, now his enemy. An enemy of all that the Empire stood for. A member of an insatiable, power hungry cult of butchers that desired nothing but the extinction of the galaxy. If the Imperial propaganda could be believed, of course.

Perhaps it was that sweet, unfamiliar scent in the air that were pheromones that belonged to the half-Zeltron. Perhaps it was those subtle mental manipulations through the force of hers proving to be more effective than even Sycamore expected. Or perhaps he'd woken up on the right side of the bed that morning. Because, despite it all, that revelation of Annika's allegiance failed to pry the smirk from his lips.

"Join the Sith? Ahhhh, perhaps if they were all like you-" Whatever it was to be said fell short at the eruption of blaster fire.

The news of his foe being a Sith had not washed the smirk from his lips. It was the trio of blaster bolts that did.

It was a surprise, to be sure, and an unwelcome one. Force enhanced instincts alone spared Sycamore from the terrible fate of three burning holes in his chest, even despite the crimson armor he wore. To call the roll he made to the right graceful would be to call Tatooine a charming winter vacation destination. What it lacked in grace it made up for in the fact it spared him from two of those blaster bolts from connecting with him. The third, however, met the electro-plating of the spaulder on his shoulder, and numbness rocketed through Sycamore's left arm and shoulder.

"You really need to work on your negotiating strategy!" Snarled the Crusader, finding his feet, his right hand collecting the lightsaber from his belt and igniting the brilliant silver blade with a snap.

"Inviting me to defect and then shooting at me? That's just downright rude."

Sycamore raised the blade defensively across his chest, prepared to face a potential onslaught of blasterfire even as Annika repositioned herself, his own steps once more matching hers. The clever eye would recognize the steps, the positioning of the blade, the lack of pursuit as Soresu. He would be immovable as a mountain, and far more talkative than one.

"Is that what drives you to this? A fear of failing these Darths? You fear them more than your own death?" Disbelief, laced with contempt filled his words. Only for them to evaporate as swiftly as dew on the leaves beneath the morning sun. "You deserve better masters."

"All righty!" Velran rubbed his hands with glee while his 300th Egghead Fleet continued to make an aggressive push near the planet's orbit. "Maintain spear formation!"

Something wasn't right though all scans indicate that the Sith Order only has a couple of Starfighters and frigates who were dislodging troop landers to the surface of Felucia. Velran expected a fierce fight in space but with the pathetic force that the Sith trotted out, it was like Velran was using a Rocket Launcher to get rid of a colony of Ants. "In my book," Velran shrugged as an Eggtrooper handed him his cup of expresso. "There's no such thing as overkill."

Did Velran overestimate the Sith Fleet? Did the majority of the Sith ships linked up with the Dark Empire for their impeding (and ultimately doomed) invasion of the Galactic Alliance? Or does the Sith have something up their sleeve? "I'll have to force their hand then," Velran said sipping on his expresso."

As soon as they reached Felucia's orbit a smile spread across Velran's lips. "Break formation!" He ordered and the Star Destroyers began to split in two. " Captain Isabelle Zythor Isabelle Zythor !" Velran commanded. "You're the tip of the spear! I need you to move up and scout the area for more hostiles! The rest of the Star Destroyers, split up and cause as much havoc as you can! Laertia Io Laertia Io and Laphisto Laphisto I need you your fighters to cover my flanks in case there's any pesky Hyperspace jumps!"

The top priority were those dropships, unlike space where it was going to be slaughter fest for the Empire, on the ground the situation was dire. It was likely that the damn Sith sunk their heels on Felucia and dared Vleran to carpet bomb them to hell and risk losing their resources that could be mind. They're in for a rude awakening, Velran hated Sith and as much as he wanted those herbs of Felucia, he was willing to sacrifice them if it meant blowing them to the Old Republic age.

" Bella Bella and Maldor Mecetti Maldor Mecetti !" Velran said. "Mop up those drop ships that are heading to Felucia! Leave none standing or I'm going to put a frowny face stamp on the after-action report! Bella, you're in command Choas TIE Fighter Squadron use them well!"

"NOW!" Velran stood up from his chair eager to get going. "UNLEASH HELL!"

Quintessa started to make her way out of the clearing and into the jungle proper. However, just as she was about to pass into the dense foliage surrounding the towering fungal trees, she came to a sudden, unanticipated stop. In that moment, her senses caught wind of a pair of signatures, steeped in an aura that in her mind reeked of indecision and confusion. In that regard, the two presences were neither light or dark, but rather, an anemic mixture of both.

”What a darling little doll,” Scoria chortled in the most pleasant tone that Navu would have heard come from the witch. ”Looks like there might be a fight involved after all though. Are you ready?”

On cue, Quintessa turned around and narrowed her eyes upon catching sight of the two figures who had entered the clearing. As with virtually everyone she met, they were both taller than her. However, in spite of their imposing statures relative to her own, the Asa’nyx merely noted their heights, before moving on to assess other elements of their appearance. In that regard, the spiky-haired male seemed to be the more conventional of the pair, but Quintessa did not anticipate that he would be a mere writeoff. His brash, youthful confidence spoke to his strength. However, the other figure, slightly shorter, but seemingly the more senior of the two, was more mystifying to Quintessa.

“And what a darling little dress.” Quintessa purred in response. “Who’s your tailor, by the way?” The tiny Asa’nyx added, before pulling her Wheels from their place on her back. “And I just adore your necklace too! I don’t know if I could ever fit in your dress but after I cut that necklace to fit, it’ll look better on me than it ever did on your corpse.” She finished with particular emphasis on the word ‘ever’, giving a low, salient purr as she did.

And suddenly, Quintessa struck out, launching one of her chakrams in a throw delivered with such force that it crossed the 19 meters of space separating the two women with all the speed of a bullet. In doing so, the Asa’nyx aimed her chakram on a straight trajectory to strike the witch’s neck, not only in an attempt to decapitate her outright, but also to make the first cut in her effort to downsize the woman’s necklace for her own use. While she hoped that the kinetic force carried by the racing projectile would make blocking it a dangerous proposition, Quintessa did not intend to rely on that alone. As such, her second chakram was thrown a split-second later, delivered in a low, semicircular arc that was aimed to take out the woman’s legs. However, should the witch manage to dodge it (or otherwise leave the chakram unimpeded in its trajectory), the disc would continue on its arcing course to strike the spiky-haired knight in his legs instead, with the aim of severing them.

Felucia...

Squad Layout:

Nuetralizer Model 3 (3, Riflemen)

Support Nuetralizer Model 1 (1, Engineering)

Nuetralizer Model 2 (1, Heavy Weapons)

House Stormtroopers (2, Sappers)

Timmy the Model 3 led his squad of merry Neutralizers and stormtroopers through the Felucian Jungle, firing his DC-15N Rifle, built specifically for the Nuetralizers.

The Parliament's instructions had been very clear.

"Remember what Mother said, Brothers! 'Every Sith you see that ain't working with us gets a Clone Trooper Special!' " Timmy said, using his rifle to shred open a Sith Soldier's heavy armor.

The Skeleton like War Droids numbered three in their particular squad, followed by a Support Nuetralizer, of perfect figure and looks, a larger, heavier looking skeletal Model 2, and two House Stormtroopers, armed with their Subrepeaters.

"Sure as hell beats murdering pirates." Billy the Model 2 muttered as his shoulder cannons blasted apart a gun emplacement. "That chit was getting boring."

"I know, right?! Only so many criminals to depopulate..." Timmy remarked.

The Force Wave that smacked into them sent them all flying. The Sith rushed them in black robes a blade of orange burning into the skull of one of his brothers before Timmy could recover. Only the Charric Cannons on Billy's shoulder saved Timmy, forcing the Sith to momentarily jump away while everyone started to fire, making the Sith create a bubble just to hold off the attacks. Sally used her advanced gravity generator to try slowing him down, as gravity is not a Force easily defied, not even by The Force.

Billy fired both his Charric and rib cage mounted sonic Cannons, the Stormtroopers firing their subrepeaters and Sally and the remaining Model 3's unleashed their own weapons, the Sith's barrier failing as he desperately tried to speed up only to get slammed into and shredded by the withering level of fire directed at him, Billy engulfing the Sith a Second later with the flamethrower in his throat.

"I ain't never Sixty-Sixed me a Sith Lord before." one of the Stormtroopers said thought fully as he watched the Sith burn. "It's an interesting feeling."

"Sally, check Wyatt..." Timmy instructed.

Sally knelt to check on the Model 3 that had his head pierced.

"Sorry, Timmy..." she said, shaking her head. "His Brain is completely melted through. Blade got all the vital circuits.

"I hope Wyatt backed his memory up before he left. He's been a tad slacking in that department as of late." Roddy the Model 3 remarked.

Sally went to check the Other Nuetralizers, applying spot welds and sealants as necessary.

"You'd think they'd have brought in some Organic Nuetralizers for this." The Stormtrooper called Sloan remarked. "Why the hell didn't your Mother put any on Felucia?"

"Combat Data..." Timmy answered. "Mother wishes to see how her more widespread units function in a scenario like this. Plus, it saves them for when we finally get our crack at the Jedi and the Alliance."

"Wouldn't the chance to fight enemy Sith be invaluable?" Sloan asked. "I'll be honest, I think the Parliament's more worried about the fungals here and how they would interact with Chaplain Biology. Because even they are not normally exposed to this level of muck."

"If that's the case then they could have deployed the Crisis Model, which actually is rated for biohazards like this..." Sally pointed out.

"You're overthinking it, Sloan. Mother just doesn't want to show all her cards early..." Timmy explained. "You gotta reel the fish in, while making them think they can escape the hook any time they want. Besides, how is she going to know her conventional troops can actually slug it out if she doesn't deploy them on a large enough scale to do so. Wars aren't won with fancy bells and whistles. Well...not TOO many, anyway..."

"I guess..." Sloan replied.

With that they all continued moving. Command in the fleet above had directed them to an Artillery emplacement that needed assaulting...

As Timmy walked ahead, Sally caught up with him.

"What is it, Sally?" Timmy asked quietly.

"You think Sloan has a point?" Sally asked in a whisper.

"I'm not sure, Sally..." Timmy remarked in just as quiet a tone. "I'm not really sure of anything these days..."

Meanwhile...

The Parliament at last gave the order for the Leviathan of Damnation to decloak...

The massive, squid like vessel of blacks and dark blue shades slipped out of its invisibility field like sheet being ripped away from a bed and began firing it's Ion Energy Torpedoes at the attacking fleet, and at the orders Velran Kilran Velran Kilran gave her House Star Destroyers immediately began giving cover fire for Velran's other ships to attack, by firing their composite beam lasers and Solar Ionization Cannons, while Squadrons of Model 1 TIE's immediately dived for the Sith Drop Ships, firing on them in swarms from all angles, while others began chasing after enemy aces trying to stop them, their small size and high intelligence proving lethal as scores of enemy fighters were downed by their complex hit and run tactics.

The Parliament reveled in the Destruction, and then ordered the crew to fire her Leviathan's continuous proton beam at one of the larger capital ships...

'Hammer' Class Blastboat Formation (80 units)
Engaging the Dropships

Maldor keyed the comms, "Acknowledged, my Emperor."

Then he switched channels, "This is Hammer Squadron Actual to Hammer Squadron. Advance on the Drop Ships. Open with torpedoes as soon as we are in range. Then execute a one-hundred-and-eighty degree turn, activate aft turbolaser turrets, and switch shields to double-aft."

It was the classic attack maneuver for the Hammer Class Blastboat, which had one of its most potent armaments in the rear. Once torpedoes were launched, the ships could turn and slowly move away, dropping the proverbial hammer of their turbolaser turrets upon the enemy. These diminutive turbolaser turrets were one of the rare models small enough to serve on what amounted to a modified Lambda hull.

Acknowledgements came in, and he switched channels again to transmit to Bella's Squadrons, "Baroness, this is Hammer Squadron Actual. We're closing to torpedo range and then turning about to pepper them with turbolasers.

Once you mix it up with the dropships at close-range, we'll cease the turbolaser bombardment and execute another one-hundred-and-eighty degree turn to support your attacks with laser cannons at medium range.

Hammer and Anvil.

Nothing will survive."

By the numbers. Hopefully, there would be no surprises.
