ADVANCED SYSTEMS

Non-Networked Computer Systems make hacking vital parts of the ship extremely difficult--each vital system (Life Support, Navigation, Engines, Sensor Array, Communication) is automated by the brain of a Model 3 in their own closed computer system, that has hard line access to the system in question via cables and wires. If one system is compromised, the others won't be...and each have been designed to heavily resist all wireless and direct hacking attempts

STRENGTHS

Why Won't You Die: It's tough armor and enhanced shields make it extraordinarily difficult to destroy...even for ships twice it's size. It can take an immense beating from multiple Star Destroyers and still remain in fighting condition, It's Missile Deactivators and Targeting Jammers also frustrate locks from nearby Star Destroyers and starfighters trying to get a lock on it

Guns of The Patriots: Possesses multiple deadly weapons, including capital ship grade pulse cannons instead of standard Turbolaser cannons, all aimed forward, with somewhat limited capability of turning to the sides to aim, with Turbolaser grade Solar Ionization Cannons to its sides and rear, and large numbers of star destroyer grade energy Torpedoes that can fire underwater (The only weapons on the Destroyer that can do so) mounted on all sides, with Ion Bomb Launchers allowing for orbital bombardment. It's two main weapons, Two Electromagnetic Rail Cannons are capable of ignoring most standard shields, capable of absolutely wrecking Standard Destroyers, and capable of doing significant damage even to battle cruisers. It's turreted Composite Ion Laser Beams can devastate most Star Destroyer grade shields and significantly chip away at the shields of Battle cruiser type ships

Go Anywhere: It's built to function as a Submarine in addition to a Star Destroyer and thus has multiple safety features to deal with underwater emergencies, such as sealing off decks and passages just like it would in space to prevent fires from flooding. It's enhanced Solar and Gravitic Shields enable it to get much much closer to Stars or gravitic anomalies such as Black Holes than should be normally possible, enabling them go flee where their enemies normally cannot follow and stay there for an extended period

Self Reliant: It possesses a Solar Energy Collection System and Power Plant based on the Leviathan of Sev Tok, Laertia's chief War Ship. It refuels primarily through taking in Solar Energy from a nearby Star, which has enough power to keep it fueled and running for Three and a half years, even with daily use, drastically cutting fuel and Drydock costs by up to 90 percent. In emergencies, it can take in small amounts of Hypermatter to keep it going for up to seven months. It has a large, hangar sized Molecular Furnace Facility that fabricates repair parts, weapons, fabrics and other materials from raw components and salvage. It's barracks are space maximized as much as possible, and have three escape pods each which include Stasis Technology and locater beacons to keep occupants alive for up to seven months adrift. (Pods can fit ten max). Barracks have two refreshers apiece and miniature, built in moisture validators. It has advanced Med Bays staffed with both organics and Medical Nuetralizers. Law Enforcement in the form of Civic Nuetralizers serving as military police patrol its passages. General Purpose Nuetralizers serve as protocol and Engineering Droids. Nearly it's entire electrical system is composed of bio organic circuits and wires which self repair, and are highly resistant to most military grade diseases. It possesses legions of repair drones that can get the ship up an running (Priority on Engines, Hyperdrive, Shields and life support, unless the computer systems are specifically told otherwise) to minimal running condition with a minimum of resources, due to more streamlined manufacturing and engineering techniques over the course of 14 days, up to fifty percent condition in thirty days, with higher levels of repair required at Drydock

Fast Path Engine: An extremely fast Path Engine enables it to jump almost anywhere

Fast Travel: It's Turbolaser Sized Pulse Cannons fire Projectiles that travel so fast there is virtually no delay between firing and impact

No Networking: None of its essential systems (Weapons, Defenses, Life Support, Engineering, Auxiliary, and Tactical) are networked, so that if one system is compromised it will not affect the others, with each system being controlled by a Model 3 Nuetralizer brain, specially reinforced against hacking, by either wireless or direct measures, located on the bridge. This automation greatly cuts down on the number of organic personnel needed to actually run the ship

Long reach: It has Enhanced Sensors allowing it to detect threats at seven times the range and all its weapons are enhanced at three times the range and accuracy of other weapons in their class

Long lasting: It's Ion engines can run at full speed seven times longer than other Star Destroyer engines. It's Enhanced Repulsorlift Engines enable it to hover in atmosphere twice as long as other Star Destroyers

WEAKNESSES

Snail Turns: Very slow maneuverability

Snail Pace: Very slow speed

Magnetic: Magnetic based Explosives throw off its targeting systems and whittle down it's shields

Irregular objects: It's shields can withstand conventional weapons, but irregular sized objects like asteroids are immensely difficult for it's shield to handle, and can devastate the shields

Nebulas: It's Sensor range is reduced to half that of a regular Destroyer in a Nebula

Launcher Weakness: Underwater: It's energy Torpedoes are reduced to half range, and in any case are dumb fired, incapable of tracking

Refueling weakness: Hitting it while refueling is the best time to do so, as any damage the collector arrays suffer will cascade to the power plant and potentially other systems.

Not Too many perks: While capable of going much closer to a star or black hole than other ships in its category, it's weapons are deactivated for safety reasons.

Slow reaction: If the brains controlling the essential systems are damaged or disabled, the systems must be run manually from Emergency auxiliary consoles located in shielded sections, and it can be difficult to get the ship to react properly with a Skeleton crew just doing all the work.

DESCRIPTION

The House Io Star Destroyer is meant to be the backbone of House Io's Navy. Though slow, it's packed with weapons and shields that are quite formidable, and it's lack of reliance on hypermatter or Drydocks, makes it very difficult to cut Xiphos's forces off from fuel sources--after all, it's ultimate, primary fuel source is everywhere, and it's ability to go much closer to Stars and Black Holes can make it incredibly difficult for the enemy to pursue and attack. To top it all off, it can even operate as a submarine, making sure there is nowhere an enemy can flee that the House cannot follow...
