STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Small Sensor Profile: The Kyramud's sensor profile is far smaller than it should be for a ship its size and tonnage thanks to its passive stealth features and electronic warfare suite, potentially frustrating enemy targeting and detection, especially at longer ranges where the corvette thrives.
  • Versatile: The Kyramud is equipped with a variety of different systems that allow it to adapt for the occasion, including but not limited to increasing it's speed/or maneuverability at the cost of it's shields and power to weapon systems.
  • Advanced Sensors and Communications: The corvette has a powerful sensor suite that when combined with it's Manda tactical battlenet module gives it considerable tracking and targeting capabilities, as well a notable ability to be able to analyze enemy craft to potentially attempt to ascertain any sort of weaknesses that it might have. Its advanced, encrypted communications systems allow it to stay in contact with friendly forces even in the face of heavy enemy jamming.
  • Heavily Armed, Well-defended: Packing a significant quantity of missiles and heavy accelerator cannons and possessing a number of defensive measures including but not limited to a powerful shield generator and tough armor, the Kyramud is more than capable of dishing just as much as it takes.
WEAKNESSES
  • Large: at 200x105x45 meters, the Kyramud isn't a small target, making not a difficult target to hit at knife fight measures, where enemy craft's targeting systems wouldn't be affected by its passive stealth measures and electronic warfare systems.
  • Not Stealth: The corvette's small sensor profile and electronic warfare systems do not give it sensor and visual stealth, and especially at shorter ranges the craft is quite easily detectable by military grade high resolution sensor systems.
  • Boom: A penetrating shot into the ammunition storage for the corvette's ordnance launchers that strike with sufficient energy to set off one of the corvette's missiles are likely to blow the entire corvette into haran and quite possibly back.
  • 'Fortress' Mode: Only with all power from engines diverted to shields can the Caritr shield generator activate it's 'fortress' mode.
  • Full Power to Maneuvering Array: With full power to the maneuvering array, the shields do not have enough power to stay active.
  • Friendly Fire: Careful use of the cluster bomb launcher is required so as to not friendly fire friendly starfighters, which can be difficult in particularly chaotic close quarters engagements.
DESCRIPTION
"We're faster than that Mandie, why the hell are you slowing down?"
"You seen how many missiles that boat's carrying? I'm not taking that chance. He can have the cargo."
- Two smugglers being pursued by a Strill Securities Kyramud-class Heavy Multi-role Corvette.

The Kyramud was built like most of Strill Securities' sub-Star Destroyer vessels as part of a fleet modernization program by Breshig War Forge, notably to perform a number of roles that the company needed to fill but couldn't afford to waste resources on super-specialist vessels that could not pull their weight in other categories. A particular emphasis was placed on self-sustainability and endurance that was one of the focuses of the fleet modernization project. This additionally enabled the Kyramud to act as a long-ranged scout and customs vessel on backwater worlds where the distance and capabilities of starport repair facilities varies greatly.

A single look at the weapons loadout of the Kyramud is enough to determine it's obvious focus on combatting other capital and sub-capital ships. The main weapon systems of the Kyramud are its octet of ordnance launchers, four assault-grade and four capital-grade MMOL-series launchers specifically. The eight launchers give the corvette the ability to launch a staggering amount of ordnance, and thanks to the staggering array of ordnance available on the market and produced by the company, also give it the ability to engage a wide variety of targets from the smallest fighters with cluster and seismic munitions to the largest capital ships and stations with powerful assault-grade ordnance. The ship's accelerator cannons give it considerable punch against warships of its tonnage and larger, however, lack the ability to effectively engaged starfighter-sized targets.

For that purpose, the Kyramud is equipped with four Araniik point-defense turrets, one for the dorsal, ventral, starboard and port vectors. However, being a 200-meter corvette, the four turrets are not always enough to deal with starfighter threats, and as such the ship has four PCBL-01 cluster bomb launchers. These give it additional close-in defense against both starfighter and missile threats, while posing no threat whatsoever to the vessel or any other capital ships. Careful use, however, is required so as to not potentially friendly fire friendly starfighters, thus limiting it's utility in particularly chaotic close quarters engagements.

As far as defensive measures are concerned, the Kyramud is certainly not lacking in that regard either. The company's powerful Caritr shield generator gives it fantastic defensive capabiltiies against ion, kinetic and other energy based weapons while packing features that allow the vessel's crew to adapt it to suit a number of changing battlefield circumstances. Stesr'gar frame, hull and composite armor plating give a ship a considerable measure of resilience against shield bypassing weapon systems as well as should the shield go down. Countermeasure launchers equipped with flares, chaff, EM probe, nagnol and anti-laser aerosol gas not only further improve the ship's defensive capabiltiies but also give the crew more tactical options. The ship is additionally equipped with a powerful electronic warfare suite and coated in reflec to frustrate target acquisition and make detection difficult at longer ranges, while the former also gives the ship considerable jamming capabilities.

The Kyramud features a powerful, long-range high resolution sensor suite that when allows the craft's Manda tactical battlenet module to give it extremely impressive target tracking and targeting capabilities, as well as allowing it to further boost the sensor range of allied vessels with connected Manda modules. The module also notably gives the corvette the ability to analyze enemy craft to potentially attempt to ascertain weaknesses and potentially the best tactic to take advantage of said weakness. Its advanced, encrypted communications systems allow it to stay in contact with friendly forces even in the face of heavy enemy jamming.

The Kyramud has more than a few tricks up it's sleeve. One of those is a dorsal modular hangar bay concealed behind thick retractable hull plating. Company HC-03M-series corvettes usually house a G-02H Vuhyr'galaar heavy gunship on board, which can aid in customs enforcement by delivering marines or act as a troop transport and interface craft when operating as a scout. That however, is not the only method the corvette has for delivering troops and/or supplies. Also included is a boarding/drop pod bay, which allows launch, maintenance and recovery of its complement of a quartet of B/DP-01 Chekar-class boarding/drop pods. Finally, to further augment its capabilities, the Kyramud is equipped with a probe/drone bay. This puts a variety of options in the hands of the vessel's crew by giving it the capability to launch a vast variety of drones/probes, and though they usually only carry Breshig War Forge Consolidated produced drones/probes, they can theoretically make use of any drone/probe that fits in the bay.

Many would accuse Mandalorian ship builders of leaving out creature comforts, but Breshig War Forge Consolidated has included a number of conveniences on board that the company's marketing department has taken to calling 'utilitarian comfort'. While not luxurious by far, the crew quarters and facilities on board are designed to ensure that the crew are comfortable, but not distracted from their duties, as well as negating the need for them to perform overtly mundane duties.

All this was done without compromising on security. The ship features a dedicated brig, allowing secure storage of six prisoners and one dangerous force-sensitive, as well as featuring and interrogation and a warden's/prisoner processing room. For on board security, the company's state-of-the-art Morut'yc security system is more than capable of providing excellent security against boarding attempts and infiltration. Finally, while the company makes use of their own network security droids for shipboard use, the ship features a dedicated cybersecurity suite as a backup.
