Annihilation Shatterpoint | BotM Annihilation of GA Held Tython

Kahlil_Div2.png

It was an impossible choice.

Darkness and light clashed around him as Kahlil pushed himself up. The world shook from such a powerful and hateful scream. The choice Valery had to make. He knew she couldn't make it. Even as the building began to crumble and fall the Jedi lifted his saber. Reignited the blue blade. He'd make the choice for her. The burden of the memories, the pain they brought, he took them for himself.

Then plunged his saber forward for the Wrath's back, letting the Light she brought course through the weapon.

What happened afterwards didn't matter. The world gave way, the ground crumbling. Kahlil's only focus had been staying close enough to Kyrel to try and end his threat. To fight against the darkness trying to ravage his wife. He closed his eyes as plunged with the rest of the building.

"Kahlil!"

Only to open them a moment later. His landing was.. Less than graceful. He focused more on keeping himself from breaking apart or being burned to a crisp, impacting rubble and broken pieces of building where he felt he could afford instead. A groan escaped him as he laid out on the ground. His cybernetic arm couldn't be enhanced through the Force. That twisted and broke. And blood covered his face.

Deep cuts lined over his nose, his cheek. Nothing bacta couldn't heal, when they had time for it. He stood, staggering for a moment. He looked worse than he actually was, thankfully.

"I'm here." He winced. Okay, maybe he was as bad as he looked. But he smiled none the less.

"You okay?"

TERROR

Pure panic was something Rika was no stranger to; rather, fear was a state of being she was familiar acquaintances with. Such fear crippled the agent, rendered them weak in the eyes of the state and the Emperor.

Rika clambered through the ashen and rocky barren mountainside, wiping the blood from a cut on her brow as she climbed up its side and pulled up her rifle by its sling with her. Another bright flash of light echoed across the sky, illuminating her, Belkora and the terrible scene of slaughter in the valley below and across the desolate land. No amount of training, conditioning and physical beatings in the academy had prepared the Atrisian girl for any of this terror and destruction. Seeing man and beast entwined in brutal battle beneath the banner of the iron sun, the alliance colours and the chaotic battle standard of the Maw. It was hell, and she was living it in real-time.

She gripped another rock, wincing as she lifted herself up to another ledge and rolled on her side. Belkora seemed indifferent to the struggle, clambering up the mountainside much faster than she ever could. It made Rika question how a chain smoker and man who was pushing fifty had such stamina and climbing abilities in the first place. But perhaps it was a question best left unanswered. She looked around to locate him again, but the man was gone, vanished into thin air. Rika panicked and backed herself up against the ledge as she took a moment to plan.

If Belkora was dead, she'd proceed on, it was the directive provided and the sole purpose of her being here, she could not delay any further or she'd be either dead or awaiting a tribunal for why she did not complete her objectives.

Screw it; she muttered under her breath as she stubbornly pulled herself further up the rugged mountain. After what felt like forever an eternity, something stopped her dead in her tracks. A foul sense of heavy dread, of an evil old as time and as deep as the void of the universe. A creeping horror clawed into her fragile mind as she hurled herself to the ground and hid behind a rock. Rika peeked over just slightly before popping her head down and repeatedly swearing under her breath as she realised just who was ahead of her.

It was him.

Ptolemis.

Rika looked apprehensively down at her rifle, silently praying Belkora would show his ugly sunglasses-wearing face any moment right now.

Lightning high up in orbit splashed across the sky, crawling serpentine across the dark red sky in ferocious displays of raw power. The air, hot & heavy, smelled of sulfur - so strongly that Ivory was thankful for the rebreather she'd donned to protect her nose and mouth from the stench. Still, though, her eyes began to water... stinging from the chemicals in the air. The environment here, high in the volcanic mountains of Tython, was unhospitable to life - and only the ancient monolith known as Vur Tepe could protect them.

The Donna led her team of Goons & Enforcers toward the pyramidal structure which awaited them, boots crunching in the reddish sand underfoot until she finally crossed over onto the rocky embankment of the mountain Vur Tepe stood upon. A great metal door set in one wall, rising high overhead, was the only entrance visible - to climb the high angled walls of smooth, aged metal would have been nearly impossible.

The place was a fortress.

She was joined quickly by her team, whom each took defensive positions - spacing themselves out and remaining watchful of the surrounding mountains, the sky, and above them upon the parapets... but, at least for the moment, they appeared to be alone. Ivory gave directions to two of her goons, instructing them to place the shaped charges they'd brought upon the barrier between them & their quarry. Her soldiers worked dutifully, preparing the powerful explosive devices which would deliver a direct plasma-blast into the doors. They did not have time to waste, attempting to gain entry through cleverness.

It took ten minutes until the charges had finally been placed and were prepared. Ivory waved her team to take cover where they could; some, crouching beneath or behind rocky outcroppings, while others took up positions around either corner of the building's protective high walls. The Donna found herself crouching alongside Viz Harridan, The Family's scrapper & tinkerer from Nar Shaddaa. On a whim, Ivory tapped Viz on the shoulder, and handed her the small device which would detonate the charges.

Through her Naehtid Earpiece (which everyone present also wore), Ivory sent out a transmission to the team: <<Fire In The Hole>>

Then, she gave Viz a squeeze on the shoulder.

There was a violent Whumph followed by a powerful shockwave which spread out in all directions; barely muted by the howling winds and crashing thunder.

When Ivory peered around the corner she'd used as cover, she felt a pang of relief deep within her chest...

The thick metal doors had buckled inward, and were silently smoking; the edges of the jagged hole blown clear through the center of them were still glowing red-hot from the intense blast.

<<Everybody in.>> She said, sending a telepathic message through the specialized hardware The Family used to communicate.

Together, the group entered the old temple, each of them powering on whatever light sources they carried. Ivory, leading ever from the front, activated the flashlight mounted on her repeater and was the first through the door.

Snorting at her honesty, he shook his head. Watching her as her thoughts ran through her mind, he took some amusement in her changed demeanor. From pitying him and decrying his methods, to envying him for his ways. Truly he would never fully understand her, but part of the allure was the mystery. Watching her, he thought the same as she did. Just as he was one of the few things in Real Space she took joy from, he took joy from her. Violence and bloodshed were obvious, but people were far fewer in number, so few as to be all but nonexistent.

Nodding his head to her words, he chuckles unamusedly as he watches Tython begin to bubble. She speaks the truth, and it's one he knows all too well. He also agrees with her, the Brotherhood has committed an insane amount of resources to this endeavor. And still, in the heart of their enemies territory, they were outnumbered, outgunned, and surrounded. This plan, this ritual, it had to succeed, or everything lost this day would be for naught. Should they succeed, and if Ingrid spoke true, then Zachariel would be one step closer to his final objective. The destruction of the Force, the Jedi, and the Sith.

After a long moment of silence, he focuses on her again and chuckles.
"There is a price for everything, and it will be paid in full."

The warlord accepted that as fact, knew that to achieve his goals, sacrifices must be made. In this case, to accomplish their mission and hopefully complete the ritual, the sacrifice of many of their pawns was needed. They would not die in vain however, even now he sensed their fight against the allied forces. So many dying to hold them off, to give the ritual but a chance to activate and tear the galaxy asunder. He himself played his part, preventing one of, if not the deadliest, assassin from making her play on Solipsis. Keeping Ingrid occupied, whether in a fight or in talks was his goal.

Smirking, he continues to watch her, taking some joy in her appreciation of the events to come. One way or another, this would be memorable, and the galaxy would remember it for many, many years to come. As she looked up into his helmets eye lenses, into his eyes, Zachariel returned her gaze, watching her, sensing her as she spoke. Laughing, his thoughts flash back to a thousand years of plans, schemes, and bloodshed. Then, with a blink, he returns to the present.

Thrusting his sword into the ground, leaving a spiderweb of cracks coming from it, he spreads his arms wide to motion at everything. Laughing, he slowly spins once, taking everything in as he talks.
"Look around Ingrid, does it look like I've forgotten?" He stops as he faces her once more, arms lowering as he leans in. "Have I forgotten my lifelong plan of destroying the Force, of freeing the galaxy of Jedi and Sith for all eternity?"

He straightens and continues on.
"Why do you think I'm here, Ingrid? Why would I sacrifice so much of my strength, my powers, and my followers to be here? Because I never lost sight of that final goal. It has been my goal for an eternity and I have done everything to fulfill it, to reach that goal."

Reaching down, he pulls the sword free with a savage jerk, causing the cracks to widen in the ground. As he brings the sword back to his side, his focus is clearly on the crack, just one more on an entire world slowly splintering under the forces at play.
"I'm here for that very reason, Ingrid!" His gaze returns to her. "To hopefully destroy the longest standing icon of the Jedi, to break but one of the shackles pulling the galaxy into that eternal feud between Jedi and Sith."

Even now, he can sense light and dark siders fighting. Most often against each other, though a few fight together, against a greater evil. The Brotherhood. Perhaps that will continue, yet another avenue of breaking the endless cycle of the Force ruling all. Those who rely on themselves, not those relying on outside forces to aid them. It's a goal he is likely to never achieve, yet he will continue to try, so that the true powers of the galaxy may rule.

Mandalorian Armor
Hilal's Tank

The alarms in the tank were blaring despite the repairs, it was still sustaining heavy damage. With the entire planet erupting around the tank, Hilal wasn't sure how much abuse her vehicle could take. Her wheels were blown off leaving the vehicle spiraling out of control. To make matters even worse, the enemy unleashed a flurry of energy torpedoes, a salvo of 10.36x77mm slugs from the Crimson Velocity's twinned machine guns towards the tank. The slugs hit first ripping through the durasteel one of the slugs bounced off Hilal's helmet the momentum forcing her off of her chair. Her head ringing, Hilal could see the rest of the slugs penetrated the hull of her tank.

The young woman whimpered curling up in a fetal position while bullets and machine turrets were whizzing around her like a swarm of angry wasps. More alerts were heard as Hilal scrambled to get up just in time to see the display showing energy torpedo heading straight for her. "No!" Hilal quickly activated her repulsor pack fired her blaster cannon through the hull and flew through it before her tank was obliterated. With the temperatures rising rapidly Hilal floated in the air and unleashed 4 concussion missiles as well as a torrent of blaster cannon fire. "I'm not going down that easily." Hilal muttered under her breath.

Song:

As they move the massive guns of the fleet at their fore pounding. Coms kept her updated with damage reports from the ships of the fleet.

”Ma’am Task Force 58 is still in pursuit.”

They needed to make a move and fast; they were still in position for the Maw to their starboard to pound them while the Task Force inpursuit of them could do the same time to be bold or die trying.

”Squadron leaders ‘iss is command strike mission priority Aurek Wan targets designated Aurek, Besh, an’ Cresh. Ion an’ followed by proton torpedo strikes then turn and burn.”

At her command waves of TIE Bruisers and their escort fighters broke from the fleet and began their attack runs on the three lead destroyers her ships had previously targeted. She would give them cover and maneuver the fleet at the same time hoping to force the Maw gunners to split fire between three different elements while still concentrating her fire power on the smallest number of targets in an effort to inflict maximum damage.

”Fleet we’re moving. Th’mainline o’ battle is ti dive low an’ sweep around behind th‘enemy fleet concentrating fire oan th‘targeted destroyers. Corvettes I want you four to a destroyer move high an’ ti the flank o’ th’enemy rejoin th’line o battle. Both groups will be firing th‘jen’dosta’ ahead o’ them ti provide cover as we advance.”

Massive engines flared with the renewed movement; the bulk of Caoimhe’s forces dove low maneuvering through the pink haze of the cloud produced by the ‘Jen’dosta’ system firing. All the while they fired on three designated destroyers HVCs, Megamasers, Turbolasers, and Torpedoes howling across the void promising death to their enemies. Above them the fast corvettes of the fleet screamed out into void, their tubes lashed out with volleys of torpedoes, missiles, and even the infamous sonic booms of seismic charges.

”Ma’am new contact from Task Force 58 warbook reads it as a boarding shuttle.”

”Affirmative alert th’fighter screen, antistarfighter batteries, an’ frigates if they want ti try an’ board us they’ll bloody well hev ti work fur it. Alert th’marines an’ tell them ti prepare ti repel boarders.”

More missiles!

When the tank was destroyed by her energy torpedoes, SF-3335 had initially felt a surge of elation overcome her senses. However, that emotion had quickly shifted to alarm when the Morellian saw an armored figure eject from the stricken vehicle as she accelerated past its ruined bulk, compelling her to give the Crimson Velocity full throttle upon realizing the threat that the power armor-clad tank pilot represented.

It seemed that Tython and the minions of the corrupted Light weren’t finished with her yet.

Lock-threat warnings once more singing in her ears as the missiles streamed towards her, SF-3335 made the desperate choice to activate the afterburners, hoping that her speed would allow her to outrun the missiles while the distortion matrix confused them. All the while, fresh warnings assailed her senses as a blaster bolt struck her machine, scorching much of the armor on one of the Crimson Velocity’s forward projections. Immediately, damage reports began to stream into her HUD, indicating that her left stabilizers had sustained noncritical damage, manifesting a loss of efficiency which the Morellian immediately felt in the handling characteristics of the bike.

Had the distortion matrix not been active, SF-3335 sensed that the blaster fire from the power armor-clad tank ace would have been far more accurate.

Unfortunately, SF-3335 still wasn’t out of the woods, yet. In spite of the distortion matrix, one of the concussion missiles had doggedly maintained its pursuit, its sudden detonation a few meters behind sending a small shockwave through the air that forced the Crimson Velocity into a fishtail as the bike veered off course. SF-3335 only just managed to hold on to the vanes in the explosion, the pain in her left wrist flaring up as she reset her balance on the bike, indicating the strain that the Morellian was putting on her body as she sought to survive the hellish gauntlet that Tython had become.

The bike spun on its yaw for a little less than 2 seconds, before SF-3335 quickly pulled on the vanes with a sharp grunt to rein the Crimson Velocity back under her control, as the safety systems kicked in to shut off the afterburners. While the fishtailing had cost the Morellian much of her speed, her bike’s nose was now pointed in the opposite direction of her previous course, towards the now-destroyed tank and potentially, the power armor-clad tank ace as well.

And so, With a cold, yet frenzied bloodthirst, SF-3335 locked her targeting systems onto @Hilal Vizsla’s center mass and matched her altitude, before kicking her bike into gear and rapidly accelerating towards her target. The Morellian quickly realized that the individual underneath the armor was likely a Mandalorian, an extremely deadly one if her survival of the tank’s destruction was any indication. Her bloodthirst rising to the fore at the realization, SF-3335 opened fire with her bike’s twin flechette launchers once she was less than 30 meters from her target, unleashing a vicious salvo of target-tracking, anti-personnel flechette canisters in a sequence of five shots discharged at the maximum rate, which upon reaching three meters from their target might detonate to unleash their payload of depleted baradium flechettes against their designated quarry!

  • One of the bolts from Hilal’s blaster cannon strikes one of the Crimson Velocity’s forward projections, damaging the stabilizer systems on the bike’s left side. As a result, handling characteristics are negatively affected. However, the Phase Masque’s visual distortion prevents Hilal’s blaster fire from being more accurate.
    • Simultaneously, SF-3335 receives a lock-threat warning and takes evasive action by activating the Crimson Velocity’s afterburners, in order to outrun the missiles. The Phase Masque continues to distort her visual and sensor profile, confusing the warheads’ guidance systems as a result. However, one missile maintains its pursuit and detonates a few meters behind the Crimson Velocity, throwing the bike into a spin.
  • SF-3335 regains control of the Crimson Velocity after a little less than two seconds, as the safety systems cut off the afterburners. The spinning has pointed the bike’s nose back in the direction of the now-destroyed tank, presumably facing Hilal’s position, as well. SF-3335 matches her altitude with Hilal and begins to accelerate towards her.
    • Upon closing in to less than 30 meters from Hilal, SF-3335 fires five shots at maximum rate of fire from the Crimson Velocity’s twin flechette launchers. These are anti-personnel flechette canisters with target-tracking capabilities which are programmed upon reaching three meters away from their target to deliver their payload of depleted baradium flechettes. These are locked onto Hilal, with the aim of striking her center mass.

Ingrid waited wordlessly for Zachariel to answer. She knew she hadn’t asked the easiest questions for the man, so she might not get an immediate answer. However, she hoped her lover would not sweep these questions and remarks aside as he did when she asked the man if she thought the Maw would survive without Solipsis, and if yes let her go to kill the Dark Voice. However, it now seemed that he would not ignore her this time, and the chuckling and amusement hinted at it.

The red-haired woman felt for a few moments that the rage had disappeared from the man; which was good at the moment because it meant it would be possible to talk to him normally. She had known Zach long enough to know that when a man was angry and furious, there was no way to talk to him in any reasonable way. Now that he's calmed down and no longer just grunts but chuckled, that’s always a good sign. Luckily, Ingrid didn't have to resort to trying to steal the man's emotions to reassure him.

Over the years, she has learned how to achieve this. Among other things, by not trying to fight him. In the first few minutes, of course, it makes the man even more angry, but after a while he always stops. So far this has always been the case. Today too. She nodded in response; although she also had her own.

"But not all aspirations and actions are worth the price." she told him.

Ingrid had told Zach before that she knew she would probably die in the final plan herself and knew that Netherworld would also perish as the afterlife depended on the Force. The woman was able to accept these prices, but did not want to sacrifice much of the Galaxy, or not most of the people who lived there. The price of living beings was too high, especially that the goal was for them to be free. Ingrid knew there was a need for sacrifices, but there was the price she didn't want to pay anymore.

Watching the man stab his sword in the ground, after this act, the Empress tilted her head slightly. As Zach leaned in, she still didn't move, and if the man wanted to kill her, it was unlikely to try to defend herself.

"Honestly? Yes." her voice was sad again now. "I know you are acting with noble and sincere intentions, but…"

You know why? She wanted to ask. In fact, it was unnecessary to ask the question because the woman told him why he was wrong anyway. She wanted Zachariel to see the truth. Not just that half, from which he thought it was all about. Because what Maw showed wasn't all. Of course, the goals were partly the same as what the Eternal Empire wanted, but only in part, and the methods were still quite different. Methods which ones are not accepted by the Eternal Empire. Ingrid did what was needed, what was necessary.

"If I’m not mistaken and this ritual really breaks everything… Solipsis ’ultimate goal is not what the propaganda says. It is about shaping the Galaxy into the image of Sith principles. And that's not what you and I want, Zach!" she said, still looking into the man's eyes.

Meanwhile, she reached into the Force and the two daggers flew from the ground into the dagger sheath on the woman's thighs, as well as the helmet / mask into her hand, which she fastened to her belt without looking at it. She was glad to hear that the man was still striving for this, even if somewhat incorrectly.

"We need this fight to continue for a little longer. If the cycle between the Jedi and the Sith is broken prematurely, if either side wins it will be almost impossible to accomplish what we want. No matter how much we don’t like this or you hate it. Sometimes compromises are needed, not just paying the price. Do you already understand why Solipsis has to die today? Why you shouldn't win today?" she asked him.

Untitled47-20220415181345.png
Mists swirled around the Imperial scientist as she felt herself returning to her senses, she stood in front of the same tree, but the lights had gone and the shadowy figures remained, in front of her soldiers remained standing motionless. Trinity was ready to panic, but felt a strange calmness from the creatures in front of her. <who are you?> she moved her lips to speak but no sound or air moved, the words came from her mind. <what is happening?>

<we are Kai Bendu> she tried to access that name she had never heard that name before, but nothing came to her.

<You do not need to check with your implant Trinity, it does not exist here, but we can show you who we are>

Her vision changed to rituals being performed by the monks that had long since passed, ancient knowledge of their origins flooded into her consciousness and she felt quite overwhelmed, the world began to spin as she felt them rushing hundreds of years of their orders history into her mind in a few seconds.

<stop, please, its too much> The flow immediately stopped and one of the creatures walked towards her, within the robes it looked like a human made of coalesced smoke. With glowing eyes, it regarded the doctor thoughtfully. Trinity knew enough of their history to understand who they were now, these were fore spirits that had been dead tens of thousands of years.

<We are all that is left of what we showed you, we persist here in the ruins of our temple, in a point where Ashla and Bogan balance each other. But our home is dying, we have seen many futures, and whether Tython survives or not, the destruction wrought in the coming hours will end our haven, we need your help>

Trinity was astounded by the pleas for help from the survivors of the ancient force order <But I am am not some jedi or even a force user, I don't know what I can do?>

<maybe that is why you were chosen to come here? You are unburdened allegiance to either side of the war between light and dark> Was that why there was no guards? They wanted her to come, Trinity was not a follower of force superstitions but she had seen enough to know there was forces at work far beyond her.

<I have sworn allegiance to the Eternal Empire> she responded.

<This is known to us, but your Empire too treads the line between the two sides, this is not politics, this is the force>

She closed her eyes trying to relax herself, trying to out herself in the arms of her family and away from this war and the destruction that was happening around them. She suddenly felt very small and unprepared, it took her back to the very first days when she was only just beginning to understand alien botany. Maybe she wasn't so badly placed to understand, she wasn't a plant, but understood their inner workings as well as anyone in the galaxy. Could she do the same with these force entities. Did she even have a choice?

<The choice is entirely yours Trinity, you may leave alone, but we believe you were chosen because you would accept our request>

They were right of course, she would not turn down a plea for help from a sentient, or even a non-sentient if she was honest. She simply nodded in acceptance, she did not need to speak the words if they were in her mind.

<That you accept without fear and without promise of reward will make this transition more comfortable for all of us, thank you Trinity.

We will aid you though, we will not interfere with your life or your person, but will gift you knowledge and understanding of the force, we can help you unlock the secrets of our plants that you have harvested. And then, when the time comes, and a new sanctuary can be found for us, we will leave you.>

Again the pressure on Trinity's mind began and she felt the combined lives of the monk spirits entering her own consciousness, as she shared their minds briefly she understood their motives, they were frightened of an end, she also understood that they absolutely did not need her consent to occupy her like this, and she shuddered at the thought of what they would have done if she had refused. As the vortex of personalities settled, the shared thoughts became dimmer and dimmer until she was alone in her mind again and the shadowy spirits had vanished.

She blinked briefly and looked about, the soldiers moved with precision examining the tree, as if everything Trinity had experienced had happened in less than an instant.

"Overseer, it's clear down here, nothing but this old tree and some dancing lights, we should head back to the surface quickly. It's a shame we didn't manage to find what we were looking for."

Dr. Harris just gave am affirming look to the Captain as she reholstered her pistol and prepared to leave.

This was war. This was what he had always been training for. But lately, his life had taken him away from battlefields. It had taken him to beautiful vistas, worlds with untold knowledge and treasures, meeting new beings and species he couldn't have dreamed of when he was in the Alliance service. The life of a Wayseeker was very much for him, it is what his father had dreamt of when he first started training Coren. But that was not all Coren was. He was a warrior, a crusader…

A defender of the Light.

With the falling moon, he could sense a bit of a change… the Light side was charged… The moon of Ashla… that was a gift of the Light. He grinned as he changed the grip on his saber hilt. The Force was to be his weapon for this fight, not the blade, though he wasn't foolhardy enough to put it away. As he was debating the Force, and debating what needed to be done, he could feel the sickness riding over him.

Foul Sith sorcery… He had fought many Sith in his time, from Carnifex to Raaf. Something like this though, was not an ability he was used to encountering… But still, the Light was with him and the Valor he was broadcasting to the others was seeping through him. Shaking his head, he pushed the plague back, it slowed and disoriented him for mere moments before his resolve kicked in. Pushing with the Force, he was ejecting that plague from himself, but not back at Libertas, no, he was converting the power, bending it to his will and creating a flash, not necessarily of the dark side burning Light, but of blinding and a sound of a thunderclap, to disorient the Sith before him.

He would be doing his best to follow up with an aura of the light side, to push Libertas back farther, an attempt to not sever the Force, but to weaken its connection to the darkness. A move that had been inverted to him many a time before.

At this moment, he was unaware of his comrades, the death of Xanesh, the fight of Caltin… Until Thurion called to him and Celeste.

Hold the line. That he could do. When he felt the brush of Celeste Rigel Celeste Rigel against him, he nodded.

Tython would not fall.

TYTHON, SEEING STONE
Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex | Fen Fen | Teresa Pelles | Darth Pellax Teresa Pelles | Darth Pellax

The Mandalorian stumbled backwards with each blaster bolt that connected with his armoured torso, all amidst his motion to circle around to the side. He remained intent to see the student become a buffer between himself and the Sith Lord as the latter of the two rushed ahead, stones thrown towards Fett.

He returned less frenzied, more accurate blaster fire from the charric blaster in the meantime, aimed at her wings. His idle arm rose as well, and the flamethrower roared in defiance over the ND-013 towards Teresa in an effort to force a mask between the two; burn her to cinders, reduced to ash, shield himself from her vision. Yet, it was out from underneath the flames that knee darts soared and the sound of them had been masked due to the flamethrower. Inaudiable, almost.

Yet, should her crimson saber still reach out to find him, it struck the armoured shoulder and slid off. It connected with his wrist, and whilst harmless to the flesh underneath the shock of the strike had seen the ND-013 fall from his hands. He could not reach for it, not now, as it sat there in the burnt soil. His T-visor flashed towards it for but a moment in the realisation.

Should Teresa not been the buffer he wished her to be, the rocks were to crash into him and send Fett off of his feet. To roll backwards until he met a stable rock to slow him down and land on.

  • Spindly follows the Bloodhound into the battle.
Spindly #1
Tommy #1 (in Spindly’s arc)
Ronar #1

The runes were also there on Spindly's armour and skin. The Heathen Priests also drew them on her, and the twi'lek woman welcomed the gift. Her life was thus in the hands of the Dark Three, even better than before. There was only one Scar Hound member today who didn’t bear the gift of the gods, their kiss (Mercy), but it wasn’t Spindly. She looked at the Bloodhound wound with religious reverence; she, too, would have been glad to have been able to make such a sacrifice for the Avatars. Maybe now, maybe she'll succeed in the current battles.

"I am happy to join you, Boss!" she told him.

The young woman continued to watch and listen to the man with reverence. Yes, this whole thing somehow seemed like a definitely good idea for the girl to gain glory for the Avatars in the man's squad. Maybe even she herself will be as lucky as her peers. As the Bloodhound said, maybe she can meet the Avatars today. She can find her way to paradise, she can earn her place there. She didn't want anything but that. But there was also some pride and ambition in Spindly, and she wanted glory, fame. And she can only earn that on the battlefield.

After the man's words, like the other Scar Hounds, the girl began to say and chant the same words…

WAR! DEATH! REBIRTH!

She followed the others, hung her spear on her back, and took a rifle in her hand, with which much more devastation could be caused, especially from a distance. Like the others, Spindly hurried up the hill. Thanks to the technology in her helmet, she could see perfectly even in the dark, there was nothing that would have hindered her sacred mission. As she climbed to the top of the ascent, she looked down at the fighters. The enemy was seen in endless numbers, waiting for their souls to be sent to the Dark Three. The three Avatars don't stay hungry today. Spindly exclaimed after the order was issued:

"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" the eternal struggle continued.

The adrenaline rushed through her body as she threw herself into the fight, shouting and raging. And well, Spindly wasn't exactly sophisticated in the fight. The twi'lek was brutal and tried to be as efficient as possible. She even had a battle axe at the beginning of the fighting, but lost it somewhere along the way. She will need to get a new one. Maybe if she survives this day. Meanwhile, they arrived at the enemy. As usual, Spindly wasn't afraid to go into melee now. She slammed her first opponent into the head with the rifle's gun-stock, then stepped on her throat with her foot, hard enough to kill her opponent.

Her next opponent was more difficult than that, it was in armour. The twi'lek fired with her gun into their chest in shotgun mode. Nor was the armour defending them against the shot, the head of the next opponent exploding like a melon after a shot; covering the green-skinned girl with a blood-red spray. Then another rocket arrived that did crash not so far away from her. Spindly was prepared for it now, so she jumped to the ground sooner and lay down to stay alive. Her ears were still ringing. A moment or two later, a new enemy appeared over the girl to try to kill her.

The fight continued. The cycle had to continue.

The sound of a voice nearly made Amani jump out of her skin, "Don't know when to quit, huh?" Came the quick rebuttal, when at first she mistook the display for one of Surea's own doing.

But this wasn't Surea. This was something else.

"You-- you're not-" There was hardly time to comprehend it before her throat seemed to clamp shut. Amani wrestled futilely against the presence, which now took form as a phantasmal imitation of the Sith.

"You… Want her?... Fine… Have her." She forced out the words in gasps, each one burned as the sensation around her neck tightened. Amani was far past the idea of opening up a dialogue with a specter. Let Surea return to the Force for all she cared.

Just as the ship jostled under the impact of enemy fire, she ignited her saber, thrusting it towards the Sith's chest with as much power as she could muster.

Just as Rex hadn't expected the planet to start killing itself, Rex was not expecting to be carried up into the air by Zet. It had been a long time since he feared heights, but something about being picked up unexpectedly and carried over a river made him feel like he was on a rollercoaster. A very uncomfortable rollercoaster at that. When they finally landed, his heart was beating like a drum in a "Galaxies N' Rominaras" concert. But as they landed, his thoughts became clear...

"NO!" he cried out, realizing that to the troops it would look as if he was abandoning them. "Zet! I can't leave our men behind like that! Where they go, I go! Imagine how they must feel now! When we get home the rumors will spread about how their King left them like a coward!"

He sighed, calming himself down. "Forget it, you were just protecting your client."

The man was a mercenary, not a King. He wouldn't understand the importance of appearances. The criticism from The Imperial Bloc would be unbearable. It annoyed him to no ends that The Imperial Bloc was such a thorn in his side. He tended to agree with them politically, but their criticisms were insane. They seemed to hate peace, hate cooperation with other nations, so on and so forth. Indeed, they would have a field day if he were labeled a coward. Of course it wasn't strictly appearances. The King truly didn't want to leave his men behind. If anything were to happen to them, the guilt would haunt him forever...

<We're crashing!> Kai informed everyone who could hear it. <WE'RE CRASHING!>

The missiles had impacted against the ship without shields, and apparently hit something vital. Kai tried to keep their landing steady, but he was rapidly losing control of the vessel.

To top things off, Surea had apparently manifested some sort of weird Rot Entity, which was currently choking Amani. The Mirialan retaliated by stabbing Surea while she was down. Kai didn't bother to involve himself in the conflict there, being too busy trying to ensure they didn't all die.

  • Water flowing from the east begins to hit the magma flow under the ruins. Gas starts to explode. Causing explosions from east to west. Large ash and lava eruptions follow along the tunnel line.
  • The ground gives way around the ruins to form a large valley encompassing it. Another valley forms around the sinkhole halfway between Kaleth and the ruins ahead of invading forces, potentially causing havoc for defending forces
  • The remaining Tython relays transmit Darth Centax's face and the forming Volcanos that are now potentially drowning Galactic Alliance members in lava, to everyone with an open comm channel.
  • Stolen Starfighters continue to bomb along the tunnel network but are being shot down.
  • Jedi saved many at the very central Temple Ruins stabilizing the ground. Jedi saved many at Kaleth itself.

The Mongrel The Mongrel | Thomas Barran Thomas Barran | Darth Saevius Darth Saevius

Water flow on mass finally hit the lava at the ruins, the eastern flooded plains being drained below at a good pace. Gas expanded a thousand times the size. Once known as the temple ruins... Black ash poured forth, the ground fully collapsing in a large circular pattern around the now Kraken ruins! Death called for them. The day would be as night. A valley formed ahead of the The Mongrel The Mongrel as earth continued to give way, the sinkhole halfway to Kaleth a potential site for a large discharge if certain Jedi below failed, either way, many might lose their footing ahead of this advance to weaken the Alliance lines further.

Jedi that were working hard below to redirect or plug some of the Magma flow away from Kaleth but where would it then head? Perhaps that was the key? Broken ground carved away around the ruins and valleys formed toward the mouth of the magma. Thanks to their efforts, Kaleth and those at the very center of the temple ruins were spared the worst of the swell, but what was to follow from a supervolcano erupting along a large tunnel line? The end result would be up to the force and those here to decide.

Mass of black rolling ash, fire, loose rock, toxic gas swept into the air from east to west, threatening to swallow the sky, jets of magma burst forth in great swells that formed a volcanic line, geysers of lava became floods and huge chunks of flaming stone were discharged into the sky in a continuous bombardment. Sun would be choked, light fading in #Directive 18 Kraken Hellfire. The name was well defined, and a debt long overdue was now paid.

Darth Centax's image was shown across every relay still standing. To every single faction here. It showed him, no words. Then the One Sith symbol over the top of the Volcano. Atop hundreds or thousands perishing to the gas, the lava flow, the toxins, and flying debris. With important lives and locations spared by Jedi where they could for those that clung to their ground.

The relay feed went dead as atmospheric interference from the eruption blotted out the signal, horrific black storm clouds forming above them, burning the air to breathe. That was the face of who was condemning hundreds, potentially thousands of galactic alliance and other infantry, support, logistics, vehicles, falling to their deaths. Revenge. Thicker clouds began to form potentially over the battlescape from around the temple ruins. Blocking light, blocking hope. The tunnels below got very hot, very fast just as the world was melting above.

"Blasted bucket of bolts!"
"Working on it."

<Roger> <Roger> <Er Your shouldn't be in here!> One B1 droid remarked to Master Heavenshield before perhaps losing its head. <What's your clearance!> Another said from behind Master Vanagor as he worked to plug magma holes.

Bravely making quick work of metal blockages, droids sparking away in piles of parts. The cultists were beaten down but they were mad, raving about long-dead empires, as they threw themselves at the invading force. Ordinary folk led astray from Tython itself, some of them running into often suicidal displays.

The rush from the Jedi Masters was impressive, shield walls that would be told in the archives if they survived! They saw the final tunneller just before it exploded revealing the explosives onboard so they could be disarmed, if they could be reached! 10..9...8... One of the Yuuzhan Vong raced for the bomb to block them trying to throw itself over it, while a group of basic B1 clankers tried to form a human(droid) shield between them.

Also with Caltin taking down an important relay on the network Kaleth might still live. Might. They'd bought that hope. Our Jedi could perhaps save Kaleth from momentary explosive doom now they had themselves, a group of rangers, water, magma, earthquakes, choking clouds, toxic gases, and other horrors head Kaleth's way to deal with! The lava flow and ejected material would be substantial from the east. Perhaps in the tunnels, they were safer?!

Perhaps….

The flood from the eastern plains swept through the tunnel system under the Jedi ruins and toward Kaleth. The sound of it coming in this tight space breaking ground ahead of them was clear. Like being next to rushing rapids or waterfalls as they hit rock. Forced by pressure, gas, and a sith ritual. Along the tunnel, valves popped off above with gas assisting the eruption. The flood was heating up turning to gas and superhot steam even as the liquid was reaching them, the droids, the cultists. Scylla's very own boiling Kraken would eat them all. Thuron was keeping the droids busy above, Caltin was redirecting lava flows cleverly using moisture and earth, That flood though, was not good, with the lava below them, a potentially horrific explosion near Kaleth was about to happen if not stopped and if the two met. One sinkhole above remained unplugged and it was right in the middle of many Alliance defenders who may not survive it.

Thud Thud Thud went the bombers above trying to weaken the ground still. Even as they were intercepted and turned into fireballs.

Assuming they were near, or perhaps through the force they saw. Near the flooded plains north of the ritual site, water was indeed going downward, as it was by now perhaps in other nearby lakes with all the damage! Drawn into the earth. At this particular site, there was a large stone cavern that had its entire front collapsed into a large flood. A metal shell with a large thick Turadium blast door stuck out of the stone. Inside the bunker noise was audible, pipes groaned from aquifers below as water was channeled along pipes descending deep into the earth toward the mantle. Tunnels, Tunnels, Tunnels. Fuelling the volcano's explosions below, and potentially doing so indefinitely if the AI was allowed to start again.

Because why would it stop now?

Above the AI's mainframe those attacking may even stop the ritual with all their valiant efforts, below it the AI didn't care. It was already preparing itself to slowly dig its next eruption. Patient, ruthless and ever-directive. Tython would die deprived of all its light, warmth, and hope for the future.

At about 20km below the surface, the droids were building factories down here for a permanent stay! They had the material, they had the specialists, and they certainly had the metal with all this tunneling. B1's weren't exactly hard to build. This attack could be endless unless heroes were to put a stop to the Tython AI.

The explosion pulled the specters attention, turning Surea's head away from Amani. An echo of a hand raised where Surea's cybernetic one had been. Closing to a fist as whatever had possessed the Acolyte decided the Jedi was no longer worth it's time. A mistake. The specter shimmered as if it was a holocall hit by sudden interference, save for where the lightsaber struck out. It seemed to pull itself to the point of the thrust, acting as a shield. What grip had formed around Amani was gone in the same instant.

"Ah. Well. Fu-"

Then the shuttle crashed.

A damnation.

That is what he was facing, a monstrous fiend from the pits of hell and chaos. Certainly a fiend rejected from the Manda and spat back to torment the plane of the living. Her bloodlust was more vile than his, more than a Sith or equally as. A perfect demonstration to how corrupt the Force is and what it did to its victims cursed with it. A threat to all, and if his words were not valid, then the calamity on Tython’s earth and skies was evident to that matter. The earth shook and the skies ablaze, reality twisted by the Force Storms.

This was nothing he experienced before, leagues beyond when Mandalore was glassed by foreigners and its own children.

Beskar crashed against each other, their battle lasted with their armors giving them that luxury of protection; though his armor was dented and its paint scratched from his fight with the Sith. He refused to acknowledge the woman a Mandalorian. She was anything but that.

The warlord swung with a beskad aimed at the Sith’s head, hoping for his blade to damage her armor or injure her. If he could lunge with the sharp tip of his blade into her…hoping to penetrate her armor with it.

Ishani Dinn Ishani Dinn

A volley of shells made landfall, either as part of a calculated gambit or a misfire, and dozens died.

Caught near a centre of an explosion, Ishani was thrust backwards, landing with a sickening crunch before tumbling into a deep crevice. Perhaps Kal, unaffected by the conventional weaponry as he was, could have caught her before she fell, but the backlash from people dying as he was reaching into their minds had him reeling.

Not that it would have mattered. He was a decent healer, but not a miracle worker.

Stretching his senses towards her position with some hesitation, he confirmed what he already suspected - she was as dead as could be. Her fate was not inherently more meaningful than the others present, but it was closer to him.

Her death would hurt a close friend. That made it matter more than the faceless masses.

Be careful what you wish for.

“No matter how hard Evil tries, it can never quite match up to the power of Good, because Evil is ultimately self-destructive. Evil may set out to corrupt others, but in the process corrupts itself.”- John Connolly

[SIDE NOTE- Any communication inside of this style of brackets is to be looked on as COMMS traffic]

He was tired. Using so much of his strength with little to moments of a break in between we having its toll on him. This was nothing terminal, no more than falling from the height that he did not that long ago, but the massive Jedi Master needed to catch his breath. The problem is that there was no time to, he had to keep going, they all did, for the good of the planet, the Force, and the very galaxy itself. If they failed would life go on?

Maybe.

The uninitiated might not be as affected as one might think, so those not attuned to the Force might be alright because of the fact that they will not feel the shift in the Force that will indeed happen. The phenomena that could and will occur should they fail here would be classified as just that “phenomena” and life would probably go on. Those who have that special connection? The shift, the change of what losing a Nexus in the Force causing such a wound in the Force, an echo, a hole, such catastrophic disturbance in the Force; could not only weaken but damage the fabric of the Force as a whole. Maybe it would hurt no one but Force Users, but the possibility of more widespread destruction of space and time was unfathomable, let alone unacceptable.

How could you ever hope to know the threat you faced when you have never walked in the dark places of the galaxy? Faced war and death on such a scale? If you had traveled far enough, rather than waiting for the echo to reach you, perhaps you would have seen it for what it was. There are places in the galaxy where the dark side of the Force runs strong. These are something of the Sith, but it was fueled by war. It corrupts all that walks on its surface, drowns them in the power of the dark side—it corrupts all life. And it feeds on death. These are thoughts, feelings, notions that the uninitiated should never have to experience, but could… if Tython falls. That and worse if it echoes.

This echo travel could travel in the places where death has walked, where planets have died. Massacres would fuel events like this, the death of life fuels it. Wounds in the Force cast echoes throughout space much like the ripples in a pool of water. That is what is about to happen here. These wounds coursed through the Force like a scream that only Force-adepts could hear. When a great tragedy took place, such as the destruction of Alderaan or the Battle of Malachor V, a Jedi could feel the reverberations of the disaster from halfway across the galaxy. Such echoes caused distortion in the Force itself much like white noise. Any Force-user who was within close proximity to a wound could not be easily sensed due to the interference. Think if this were to happen here, on Tython? Caltin doesn’t want to.

With another deep breath, he looked at Thurion and nodded before putting one hand on a destroyed relay. Leaning on it.

Count of three, You drop these two big boys in there, and I’ll do something stupid. 1…2…3

When the king of Midivinter would complete his part, the massive Jedi Master blasted an amount of Force Energy powerful enough to look like he was some kind of organic ion cannon. Was this the right thing to do? Probably not as it drained him, but the action was meant as an enormous Force Wave, but it pulled much of the ceiling and sidewalls inward. Almost the opposite of a repulse, this maneuver was extremely powerful, and if the massive Jedi Master was not the Vanguard that he was, a Jedi ever vigilant and always honing his skills, he would have been consumed in those and not able to control the falling debris and it would fall on top of him.

I need cover now. I need time to see if this is going to work.

There was little he could do more than be there if something went wrong at that point. This hole and lava flow were rapacious in their desire to aggrandize, So the plan was to give this voracious beast more so much in the way of food in the way that it would be so engorged that it could so little more than stop. If this thing wanted to eat, it would be stuffed until it was full. There was no way that he could stop all of the dirt and rock from hitting him, it was just so overwhelmingly immense That was the rub though, he could handle it. The big man could not understand how, or why, but he was somehow feeling the geoelectrical flow of the planet itself. No, he could not control it, that would be folly, but the massive Jedi Master could literally feel the planet itself.

His body was taking a beating, but he was going to take it, he was going to handle it, he had to. If he could not then that was that. Caltin was not the only one here, there were so many amazing souls standing with Tython, or “Ashla” or whatever it was referred to depending on the culture. The planet would be fine, so he kept pulling it all (or as much as he could) inward until its call came crashing down on top of him. The rockface, the overlook, everything came inward turning to dust and muck all mixing together. The effects seemed to come to a halt and more troops tried digging the big man out of the rubble until like some sort of shift in the tectonic plates he rose from under the pile of ground.

Did the controlled cave-in work? Only time will tell, but what it did was pull in the charges that Caltin could see, the charges that Caltin could reach, and cover them more and more it dirt and debris, burying them under more and more earth the hope that was even they could do nothing about these lava flows, then the repositioning of these charges would do the trick. Bring those cave-ins into a more centralized direction, something that can be controlled and will not be endangered all they have worked to save. The ruins are already a memory, the planet will not be.

We need to get out of here. Now.

Now it was time to tap into that connection, to use the geothermal energy of the planet to point upwards. It was deathly hot and loud so yelling instructions would no longer work. They had to get out though so the big man did his best and pointed towards what was more than likely the sky. With that he “grabbed” a large chunk of the destroyed relay, hopefully, this would serve its purpose. What was it? Looking over at the Lion King, amid all of the “roars” of lava” the groans of displaced magma. Caltin looked right into the eyes of Heavenshield and slowly mouthed the words “Shield… Wall…”.

The hope was that they would use the shifting situation down where they were to their advantage and the advantage of the planet. These explosive gasses, these natural forces were all looking for a place to do something, to vent. This should give them that vent. All of the collected Jedi down there pushing this mass of metal and dirt upwards through the softened earth and all of the gasses below them pushing masses and dirt upwards and if they were to ride this natural lift, it should push them through to the surface. It should provide that vent that the planet needed and do so in a way that would not do even more damage. If whatever this foe was wanted another volcano, it would get one, but you cannot control a volcano…

… it ultimately goes where it wants.

The planet was not out of the woods, not by a long shot but things were starting to become more and more clear at this point. Once the immediate threat of what was going on underneath the surface (at least there) was done, they could go back on the attack. That was the problem though. How much were they going to have to attack? Where? Yeah, the Sith were where they were, they were slowly but systematically being turned back, but what about this other foe? There had to be something else, somewhere else.

They were not far from Romi Jade Romi Jade and Jace Khel as they were showing just how amazing they were. The big man looked back at the Lion King, they were finally able to breathe normal air again, air not filled with toxins from the lava, he breathed it in and looked the way of the Lion King. He looked at the rest of the Jedi and troops gathered. They were still fighting, still in the fight but for how much longer?

These droids, these relays… is it me? Or did they not get here overnight?

He didn’t know the truth perse, but there was something about these droids, about these relays. Perhaps they were being built somewhere.

I think we need to hack into one of these relays.
