STRENGTHS
  • Ol' Reliable: This weapon has few bells and whistles, but that's part of its charm. It was designed to hit hard and be a reliable sidearm. Easy maintenance means fewer failures on the field.
  • Armor Penetrating [Sig Gas Only]: When swapped to sig gas, the weapon's bolts take on an armor-penetrating quality, allowing it to shoot through some armor.
WEAKNESSES
  • Heavy: This weapon is quite hefty for a blaster pistol. Untrained soldiers will have a hard time keeping it steady and upright. Although, you could use it as a club if you ran out of ammo.
  • Low Accuracy [Sig Gas Only]: Sig gas makes your bolt's armor-piercing but wildly inaccurate. It is suggested to use at closer ranges where accuracy isn't needed as much.

DESCRIPTION
This model was named after the old Eriaduan word for reliability, "Pistis." Designed as the sidearm for the Valkan Guards, reliability was chosen over technological gimmicks. So, the only gimmicks you'll find it a comfortable pistol grip and a weight that holds the weapon down when firing leading to low recoil. That and the ability to swap the gas canisters.

The design choice to include a swappable gas canister was made after the success of the NZ MB-02E and its two gas canister system. While it was not possible to put two gas canisters inside this weapon, even while being a larger weapon, having the ability to swap on the go gave it the utility that was desired.

The high damage of the weapon was able to be achieved by enhancing the barrel with galven circuitry that focuses the bolt leading to a higher output, similar to the venerable DL-44.

DESCRIPTION
The N&Z Armored Uniform, the Gerpanzert, is a new uniform for a new age. This new armored uniform can withstand the brunt of most things. The Gerpanzert is highly resistant to kinetic and energy damage, offering excellent protection against the elements thanks to HPI's amazing Kaldrweave (specifically the enviroweave) material combined with the equally environmentally protective Thinsuit.

The Gerpanzert also has the ability to fit five armor plate inserts made out of the amazing Tetra-Polycarbonite Lamellar Compound designed right here at the N&Z Umbrella Corporation. It not only adds more protection to vulnerable areas, it adds a much needed buffer against thermal and ion-type weaponry.

The Gerpanzert is equipped with a few gripping technologies, namely Gription and FrictionGrip. These were added in specific places to add to the uniform's utility. For example, the holster is equipped with Gription to secure the user's service weapon at the molecular level, reducing the risk of it falling out. The boots are equipped with FrictionGrip to facilitate walking on slick or smooth surfaces.

DESCRIPTION
The N&Z Umbrella Corporation's Drache cells are their first foray into scatterweapon technologies. Unamused by traditional scatterblaster's small ammo count, Karl Von Strauss and his EnSol team decided to "reinvent the wheel," so to say.

Drache cells combine a traditional scatterblaster's gas cylinder and power cell into one functional unit. While this limits the number of shots a single Drache cell can make, it allows for increased area on the weapon platform to be used for other technologies. Additionally, the compact size of these cells allows for more of them to be placed into a weapon platform. For example, the weapon that spurred the Drache's invention has a cylinder where four cells can be placed and rotated through. This means that while using standard cells, one cylinder holds forty trigger pulls of scatter energy.

Drache shells are designed with user-friendliness in mind. Swapping out cells is quick and intuitive, offering unparalleled versatility to users in various environments and combat scenarios.

However, unknown to Karl or his engineering team, an engineer loyal to the Lord of Hunger, Credius Nargath, implanted a set of codes. These codes allow the Lord's KRONOS to effectively pause or disrupt THEMIS's actions or out-going orders. Due to her advanced nature, and being around the same level as the the KRONOS, she is unable to be completely controlled.

DESCRIPTION
The TIE/sb Strike Bomber is a fast, agile light bomber built for precision strike and hit-and-run tactics. A joint venture between the cutting-edge design teams of N&Z Starworks and the engineering powerhouse Sienar-Santhe Technologies, the TIE/sb embodies the next evolution of tactical Imperial aerospace doctrine.

Powered by the new TIE2 engines and supported by a suite of N&Z subsystems, the TIE/sb significantly outpaces its heavier counterpart, the TIE/sa Bomber. This speed and maneuverability come at the cost of internal volume, trading the traditional two-part ordnance bay for a streamlined Variable Ordnance Magazine system.

The Variable Ordnance Magazine is housed in a rectangular module mounted to the starboard side of the cockpit. These modular magazines are rear-loaded and can be swapped quickly in the field thanks to a rapid-release mechanism, enabling swift rearmament and return to combat.

Developed through a collaboration between N&Z Starworks and Sienar-Santhe Technologies, the Jäger shares a design philosophy with the TIE/sb Strike Bomber but is reimagined for air superiority rather than strike operations.

Equipped with the TIE2 engines and enhanced with N&Z's maneuvering thrusters and subsystems, the TIE/ja boasts blistering speed, tight handling, and superior vertical responsiveness. It easily outclasses the standard TIE/IN interceptor in thrust-to-weight ratio and overall agility, making it a nightmare for enemy pilots in close-quarters combat.

The TIE/ja is equipped with four wing-tip mounted N&Z LC-2A laser cannons, designed to overwhelm enemy shields and punch through hulls during dogfights. Supplementing this are two chin-mounted repeating ion cannons, providing fast firing alternatives capable of disabling enemy systems with precision.

DESCRIPTION
The N&Z Omni-Directional Droid Starfighter, or ODDS, is the first in a line of droid-centric line of starships intended for the N&Z Security Division, and more specifically, the Grand Security. As it is piloted by droid brains, it is safe to assume that an eventual carrier design will be produced that will have the necessary means to enslave the lower-class ZEUS mk II's.

The ODDS is comprised of multiple hulls, four to be exact. Most of the sensor systems and other sensitive equipment are located in the front of the dorsal and ventral hulls. Included in the rear of these hulls are the Hermes engines, which provide the ODDS with agile thrust and maneuverability.

The port and starboard hulls are the weapons arms. Each arm has two cannons (1 laser and 1 FLAK) in an over/under arrangement, and towards the rear of each arm are the twin-barreled projectile launchers. These launchers are rear-facing and require the arms to rotate 180 degrees to fire forward. This, however, is not a problem for the OODS, as its port and starboard weapons arms are on articulated struts that are capable of 360 degrees of vertical movement. They are also able to swivel horizontally, in a more limited capacity (as seen above).

The unique mounts, combined with the droid brain-piloted reflexes, grant the ODDS a level of combat agility and awareness unmatched by conventional, manned starfighters. The design prioritizes engagement flexibility, omnidirectional suppression, and zero pilot risk. When deployed, the ODDS will operate as a decentralized swarm intelligence, coordinating tactics through either a highly encrypted enslavement process or interlinking with each other if no "mothership" is available.

  • Beehive - The Träger is capable of carrying an amazing 17 squadrons into battle. With an entire contingent of Omni-Directional Droid Starfighters averaging at 20 fighters per squadron, she can carry a grand total of 340 starfighters. And she can control them all.
  • Heavy Frontal Barrage - The Träger has a large amount of heavy weapons placed in the nose of the ship, which means that even at the back of a fleet, she can still dish out damage.
  • Control Center - This ship only carries droid starfighters and support ships, as such it needs a large number of higher-classed droid brains to enslave and control all of them in a combat scenario. This is where the CCU comes in; there are 10 ATHENA DCOS-1L [DIrect Central Operating System] Droid Brains to enslave and control all 17 squadrons; 8 of which are enslaving and controlling 2 squadrons each, 1 which is enslaving and controlling 1 squadron (usually 'Lead Squadron'), and 1 as a backup. All of this leads to a much better-connected and coordinated complement force.
  • Almost Completely Automated - This vessel is equipped with an advanced AI that manages most routine functions while also assisting with navigation, weapons preparation, shield coordination, and more. Its capabilities greatly reduce the need for manual oversight. As a result, the ship can be operated efficiently with a significantly smaller crew. The only places where there is a large amount of organic (or robotic) crew are on the bridge and in the engineering sections (reactor/engines and hangar module).
WEAKNESSES
  • Exposed Hangar Module - Looking at this ship, you can tell she is a carrier. Her bulbous ventral-mounted hangar module is a large target to hit. The Complement Control Unit is also located within the hangar module.
  • Slow - The Träger is not a fast ship by any stretch of the imagination. She can increase her maneuverability, at the cost of speed, and she can speed up, at the cost of maneuverability. So she likes to sit toward the back of fleet formations where she doesn't have to worry about her low mobility.
  • Almost Completely Automated - While the ship's high degree of automation is generally a tremendous advantage, it comes with significant and potentially critical drawbacks. Chief among them is the vulnerability of relying so heavily on the AI. If its systems are damaged, either by an internal failure, a direct EMP strike to its core, or a forced reboot, the crew would suddenly be responsible for managing a large number of functions normally handled automatically. In such a scenario, the "optimal" crew complement might prove insufficient, leaving personnel overextended or, in the worst case, rendering the ship functionally inoperable.
DESCRIPTION
The Träger-Class Carrier is the next in the line of the N&Z Grand Security's droid-centric starships. She is meant to overwhelm the void with sheer numbers of droid starfighters. The Träger has the ability to deploy, coordinate, and sustain its entire complement of 17 squadrons; the ship's central hub for this operation is the Complement Control Unit (CCU). The CCU houses TEN ATHENA DCOS-1L droid brains, with each linked to specific squadrons for precise tactical cohesion. The result is an unmatched aerial swarm, capable of executing fleet-wide strikes, defensive screens, or surgical assaults with overclocked precision.

Despite its primary role as a carrier, the Träger-Class is far from toothless. The forward section of the Träger is equipped with sixteen heavy weapons, including railguns and electromagnetic plasma cannons. They have been optimized to deliver punishing frontal barrages even when stationed in the rear lines. This strategic choice allows the ship the contribute its firepower while keeping its vulnerable systems as far from enemy guns as possible. Additionally, most ship functions are managed by an advanced AI, meaning that even with a skeleton crew, the ship functions extraordinary. That being said, there are a few areas where crew are still placed, these being: the bridge, the hangar, and the engineering sections. This automation not only reduces logistical overhead but also frees up internal space for expanded storage, munitions, and repair bays.

However, the Träger's reliance on automation is as much a risk as it is a strength. Should its AI core be compromised, either by EMP, system failure, or forced reboot, the minimal crew may be unable to manually sustain critical operations, potentially leaving the carrier defenseless and adrift. Additionally, its hangar module's exposed positioning makes it an inviting target; a concentrated strike here could cripple both its launch capabilities and the CCU itself. Speed and maneuverability are also not the ship's strong suits. Attempts to increase one, compromises the other. For these reasons, the Träger-Class thrives when sheltered by escort vessels, sitting behind the front lines, where it can unleash wave after wave of droid squadrons while acting as the calculating heart of a fleet's air superiority strategy.

Aside from the SPECTRE cannons, a handful of laser cannons, and a few single turbolasers, there is virtually nothing protecting the rear of the vessel.
  • Heavy Frontal Barrage - The heavy weapons placed in the nose of the ship can only be used when pointed directly at another ship, so in close quarters, they are nothing more than eye candy.
  • Almost Completely Automated - While the ship's high degree of automation is generally a tremendous advantage, it comes with significant and potentially critical drawbacks. Chief among them is the vulnerability of relying so heavily on the AI.   • Heavy Defense Systems - The defensive systems on the Atlas are top-tier in an effort to improve its survivability. After all, a fleet tender only helps if it's alive.
  • Repair/Boost Systems - The Armor Repair Systems and Shield Boost Systems are a boon to whatever fleet has this at its back. Being able to repair holes in armor and stabilize energy deficits during the heat of combat keep fleets in the battle and can hopefully change the outcomes of battles.
WEAKNESSES
  • Two at a Time - The Atlas can only tend two vessels at the same time.
  • Apples to Apples - The Shield Booster System on the Atlas can only transfer power between two reactors using the same fuel. Therefore, the Atlas can only supply this boost to ships using hypermatter-type reactors. Even then, it only transfers energy at ~55% efficiency.
  • Limited-Time Capabilities - The Atlas cannot repair and boost forever. Once enough energy has been pulled from the third reactor to boost shields, the limited transfer efficiency cancels out its effectiveness. Also, its reserves of Ersteel 145 plates are finite; once a section runs dry, it's out for good until the Atlas can be resupplied. Of course, it can take plates from other cowlings, but that takes time, and time is valuable on a battlefield.

When functioning properly, the system is a godsend; it seamlessly manages critical and routine operations with precision and efficiency. However, when it fails, the pilot can quickly find themselves overwhelmed by the very tasks that automation once handled. The absence of the AI's oversight can turn a minor malfunction into a catastrophic failure.
  • Outboard Engine Vents - The ship's exhaust and cooling vents are exposed at the aft and protected only by minimal plating. With external shields down, these vents present a vulnerable target; a well-placed strike can cripple propulsion and cooling systems, rapidly degrading the vessel's combat effectiveness.
DESCRIPTION
The Gala Fighter MkIV is the next iteration in the N&Z Umbrella Corporation's Gala Fighter line. It stays true to the story told by its predecessors; it's a low-cost, high-reliability option for any type of pilot, government, military, defense contractor, or security force. Just like all of the Gala Fighters before, it is an extremely capable fighter.

The Gala MkIV has a few upgrades from the MkIII. Firstly, the reactor has been upgraded from the HPI HAPU to N&Z's CHARM 01 reactor. Its shield system has been upgraded from the SS-1 and SS-2 to the SSP-SIXTUS/A. The next change was to its engines; the MkIII used the original Hermes LFD 760i engines, the MkIV used the new and improved Hermes 980HIF/SE. And lastly, the frame and hull were upgraded from Ersteel 145 to the Super Light Composite Alloy variant of N&Z's Ersteel, increasing its durability and survivability, without sacrificing or increasing weight.

As you can see, the Gala Fighter MkIV continues the proud Gala line legacy of being reliable, resilient, and cost-effective. Just as N&Z has advanced into a new era of innovation, so too has the Gala evolved; streamlined, efficient, and ready to meet the demands of modern warfare.
